Great place, far away from everything, so buy from a store what you want because no grocery store in radius of 50-60 km. Because it is distant from lights we managed to see the Northern lights for the first time there :)

Great first drive after landing in Reykjavík. We had a family room with large windows overlooking water and mountains… beautiful! Super comfy mattresses. Great to have a private bath and kitchen. Friendly staff!

Great location & views - room a bit “tired”

Room was spacious and you could back right up to the door which was a dream on our last night for packing and cleaning out the rental car. Location is great.

Views are 12/10!!!!!

The room was a bit “tired” in spots. For example the bathroom door was warped from water running out of the shower. The countertop next to the sink was also warped from water. I would have appreciated tea bags or coffee being provided - but are there gas stations close by heading both North & South where you can pick up a cup - so it’s not the end of the world.

Really enjoyed this property. The view is amazing. The accommodations, something akin to a mobile trailer, were clean and very comfortable. Only criticisms: 1) the shower was missing its shower door which resulted in us being very careful so as not to wet the outside floor and; 2) there were no blackouts. I could not find my eye mask and with 24-7 daylight, this was an issue.

This is a series of independent cottages (i.e. trailer homes) in excellent condition. Great for small families. Close and convenient to the city, but quiet and near a horse farm. Checking in was simple- it consisted of driving to the reception desk, seeing my name posted on the door with my assigned cottage. Everything worked well and we were quite comfortable. Parked within feet of the door for easy loading/unloading of our stuff. Would stay there again in the future.

Nice and Convenient for Us

Really, things were pretty good. We liked the location and I enjoyed my run on the horse trail. \"Room with a view\" would have been pretty accurate on the other side of the building. Our view was of farm equipment and a bus. That wasn't a huge problem really. The host asks that windows and doors stay closed (to keep out insects) and that temperature on thermostat not be adjusted. However, we were so utterly uncomfortable because it was soooo hot in the room. Sorry, but we had to break the rules or else we wouldn't have been able to sleep at all. No insects got inside, though. Overall, we'd stay there again as long as we could keep the room cool. It was nice and clean, and very easy to self-checkin.

We felt home at this property and really love it! Good surprise to find it so roomy when we checked in. It’s our 10th day, the 9th accommodation in our ring road trip. It’s 1 of 2 our most love. Highly recommend!

The cottages are basically mobile homes, but they are a good budget-friendly option in pricy Iceland. We loved the horses on the property - that was a really nice surprise. There were also lots of purple lupines when we were there and nice views of the surrounding area. Now, the downsides. First, the two bedrooms were pretty small - my daughter ended up sleeping on the couch because it was too crammed in the bedroom. Someone in the area was doing construction around 10:00pm (luckily, it was short lived). My biggest concern was the paperwork said we had to confirm check in with the property ahead of time. I tried calling, I tried emailing - there was no answer &/or no response. I spent a good amount of time (during our vacation in Iceland) on the phone with Expedia (who was super helpful and responsive) to try to figure out how we needed to check in. Turns out, you drive up to a main building on the property and there is a list posted of names and cabin numbers along with instructions on how to check in. If we had known this ahead of time, it would have saved a lot of stress and precious vacation time.

While the little cabins were like mobile homes, the rooms were partitioned in a big barn/warehouse. Very thin walls and cheap overall. Four of these rooms (ours included) looked out over a yard filled with metal parts and pallets etc. Someone started using a fork lift truck to move pallets of sod around at about 10pm, which was very noisy...

The property is in shambles, our room smelled like an ashtray. Our son is hyper allergenic and there was no place for him to sleep. This is a trailer park they try to pass off as cottages. The hot tub had vines and weeds growing on it and the owner never responded to our phone calls or text messages.

Nice clean room with bathroom and kitchenette. Somewhat out of town and difficult to find, but if you’re traveling by car it’s worth the search. They could do with a better sign at the road. I don’t think we could find it in the dark.

Very nice cabin. Do get groceries ahead of time in Borgarnes because there isn’t a store or restaurant nearby. We ate dinner in town because we were late in arriving. Beds were comfortable; kitchen was well stocked.

Clean, roomy, and well equipped kitchen

Cottage was a stand alone unit with a front deck. Gorgeous view from the deck and kitchen window of the mountains. We were also lucky that a pony paddock came up near our cottage, and our kids loved to see two Icelandic ponies hanging out near us. Cottage was clean and roomy (I thought the kids would be on a sofa bed but they had a separate bedroom). The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking. The only thing that I would have wished for (and this is really minor) would be two potholders, but the drying towel worked fine instead.

An excellent brand new quality place!

I *loved* this place - everything was so new! It was bright. It had everything that we needed - nice little refrigerator/freezer (I was able to buy a small ice cream and put it in the freezer), stovetop, and kitchen sink. The shower was roomy enough (bigger than many others I've used). We were lucky and had an end unit so could look out of the big windows on 2 sides for checking out the night sky. While it did clear up, there just wasn't any northern lights activity that night. The beds were small (and separate, but placed next to each other), which is similar to what we've gotten very many places in Iceland. It appeared that they are just getting the place ready, so there weren't any hangers in the closet - I'm sure if we'd asked, they'd have supplied them. I loved that the place was close to Borgarnes, but still in the country. Such a treat! (There were also cottages on the same property - we didn't look at those.)

We stayed in the family room which was spacious but a little cramped for 4 of us with our luggage, and required my sons to share a pull out couch. The bathroom was not in good shape though - the shower had no lip to hold in water and the drain did not work properly so the entire bathroom, which was tiny and dark, would flood after each shower. The kitchenette was adequate but we did not cook so only used the refrigerator. The wifi did not work - there was a network that our devices would pick up but not one that was listed for the given passwords and the owner did not seem to know what the problem was or what password would work with the network we could access. There was tv but it only had a couple channels. The view was nice though and if conditions had worked out for us I think we would have had a great view of the aurora. It was conveniently located close to Borganes and its stores and restaurants.

We stayed in one of the rooms, which was very clean, all furnishings were in great condition. One of the perks to this place was the large glass windows and glass doors which have a beautiful view if you are trying to see the Northern Lights. We had no luck due to weather that night but would have been highly convenient. Its a good stop between Reykjavik and the Peninsula if you need a place to stay.

They have specific check in hours so you might want to call to make sure someone is there, we arrived early and there was no one there so we had to call. It wasn't a big deal to us. They were friendly and apologetic stating they had to go to town. They do provide a phone number to reach them at if this happens.

Logement spacieux. Mais aucun chauffage ne s’est déclenché. Nous avons eu froid : mal dormi et 15 degrés au réveil ! Nous n’avons pas traîné pour partir le matin.

Die Unterkunft und Ausstattung war in Ordnung. Allerdings war der Gastgeber nicht zu erreichen. Die Telefonnummer ist nicht (mehr) vergeben und per Mail hat niemand geantwortet, was sehr ärgerlich war. Check-in war bei uns Selbst-check in. Diese Information hatten wir allerdings vorab nicht, sonst hätten wir unser Tagesprogramm und die Ankunftszeit anders gewählt.

We tried to reach the apartment via email and phone. Phone number is not correct. Nobody ever answered our email. There is self check in and you can come whenenver you want but i you don't habe that information, it really annouing. Bathroom and kitchen equipment was dirry.

Saubere und Funktionale Unterkunft

Die Unterkunft ist sauber und funktional. Es hat alles vorhanden, was man braucht, inklusive einer kleinen Küchennische (ohne Ofen). Der Einzige Nachteil ist, dass es sehr ringhörig ist. Wir hatten das Pech, dass zwei Frauen im Raum nebenan spät ankamen und sehr laut waren.
