Very reasonable cost provided a comfortable stay with a feel of Germany of many decades ago, but with modern conveniences. Breakfast was wonderful and the evening meal we enjoyed there was even better.

everything about the hotel was super. the food was really excellent. we took the set menu option but wanted soup instead of salad. and they were great about it and did not even charge extra. Breakfast was really good lots to choose from. the staff went out of their way to help us. I left my phone behind and they were good about it and arranged to send it back. We would be delighted if they would have us back

Hotel extremamente limpo e organizado. Gostei praticamente de tudo. Em regime de meia pensão, não tenho razão de queixa de anormalidades. Gentileza e disponibilidade por parte dos funcionários. Booked two rooms at the last minute. Arrived after 8pm, hungry...staff allowed us to order dinner through the onsite restaurant. It was the most expensive dinner we had had thus far during our trip and we only ordered 2 beers, 2 sodas, 2 salads, a dessert and chicken fingers...but we didn't complain b/c we were hungry.
There were some language barriers with the staff but overall no complaints. We didn't get a chance to explore the town. Parking was onsite and free and there was a breakfast included.

Great place for the value, close to attractions, great amenities. The restaurant was very good, very competitive pricing, great breakfast. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only two issues were that when I checked in, I was not given the Wifi password information and it was not posted anywhere in the room. The other was the lack of parking on the premises. We checked in and left, by the time we got back, the reception desk was closed and there was no more parking. With no one available to assist me with the Wifi information or parking issue. I still managed to squeeze into a spot in front of the entry. However, some older gentleman which I had seen earlier behind the reception desk when I checked out, still felt the need to tell me something in a rude way about where I ended up parking.

A quite place in a small town. The beds are soft and sleepworthy. Hiking trails abound from this town. Famous Triberg is only a few miles away.

The room was clean and there is a good variety of the usual for breakfast (lunchmeats, cheeses, boiled eggs, bread, cereal, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes). We also ate dinner here one night and it was very good, and the waiter who spoke English was friendly. It was a little confusing checking in. Apparently, the entrance on the right side of the building is for the restaurant and the left side is for the guesthouse. Parking was very limited, and I had to run inside one time while my husband was in the car to let them know there were no parking spots left. They let us know we could park across the street – however there was no street parking left either, so we parked in front of a van parked in a chained off driveway that had 4 flat tires and hoped for the best. They were painting the front of the building so there was scaffolding in front of our balcony blocking our view, so we didn’t really sit outside at all. View from the room is normal – nothing particularly special. It’s in a good location – just a short drive to Triberg and the waterfalls. Shower is your typical very small European shower. Wifi worked good.

The property is currently having some external painting done so there was a degree of scaffolding taking away the look of the building.
However, the staff were fantastic. Especially the nice German waiter. Very good English and extremely helpful.

I would definitely say yes to booking here again.

Seemed light on staff. There was only one woman working the check-in counter as well as serving for the restaurant and bar. Not a lot of parking spaces available for the amount of rooms. The rooms were dated and you can tell maintenance issues are likely prevalent. Despite all of that, the staff was nice and very helpful. The rooms worked just fine for us, especially at the price point. I would stay here again if ever in the area.

Such a cute town! We were even able to enjoy some sledding with our kids at a nearby ski lift/hill.
Great location and not too far from Triberg and the gorgeous waterfalls, cuckoo clock shopping, and local cafe for black forest cake....a little further down the road we enjoyed glass blowing!

Great stay away from the busy town

At first I was disappointed in my selection of the hotel because I thought it was way too far from the downtown point of attractions but by the time we left (3 day stay) this little place won me over. It is in a quiet location at the too of the hill, surrounded by other small hotels. I personally would label this more of a B&B style stay. Breakfast was free, small selection but a great start to the day. The dinner room/food was fantastic!!! The owners were super friendly and staff was extremely helpful too! The only negative thing I can say is that it is a little dated but it was a great stay & a short walk to other restaurants and small town with shops. I would go back again!

Great place, en route to the source of the Danube

As a cyclist wanting to head to the source of the Danube, this place is ideal, only it is uphill all the way from Triberg, about 400metre climb!
But well worth it, the half board was excellent value, and their small bar great.
Arrived on a wet afternoon in the clouds, where is the sun, I asked.. Back ign the morning was the reply..... It was!!
After the struggle to get up from Triberg with my bike, it was so worth the effort.
If I ever come back to the Black Forest, I'll Happily stay here again.

We would have gladly stayed much longer if our travel timing would have allowed it. Excellent hotel, super clean, very comfortable and quiet. Beautiful rooms, good beds, very restful night. Nice and quaint

The hotel staff was amazing! The hotel is very quaint and quiet. There's free parking and free breakfast. Only thing was the bed being too hard and the pillows being really soft. But I brought another pillow so that can be fixed. I'm sure if you ask the hotel staff for another pillow they would give you one. :) Overall, I would come back to this hotel and recommend it to anyone!

GREAT Place to Stay in Schoenwald!

We loved this hotel. We had a bit of a time finding it, but we were really happy with the stay there. The breakfast had EVERYTHING and was very good.

I really loved the parlor off the bedroom; I did not expect to have a second room. It had a couch, table, shelf unit and television. It was perfect for watching TV and not disturbing someone sleeping!

The proprietors were so friendly and helpful; we really liked them.

The hotel was quiet and clean. Check-in was quick, the host was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself is about a 10 min drive from Triberg and it's easy to get to/from. The beds and pillows are typical European (firm bed, flat pillows) and the room was clean. Breakfast was included and pretty average. For the price I would definitely stay here again for short stays.

Overnight stay to tour the Black Forest. Close to Triberg where the waterfalls are. The hotel is located off the main street in a neighborhood. The breakfast was sufficient to get you through till lunch. It's just a little hotel in a little town, but it was sufficient for what we wanted to see. The beds were comfortable. Parking and breakfast was free. No complaints. You definitely need a car to tour the Black Forest.

the stay was pretty good; the stair climbing with our suitcases was a wee bit hard on our aging bodies; the food was ok although what we wanted and what we got was a bit off due to severe translation issues. also, although we paid for the room with our cc, the meal and drinks had to be paid in cash ... a minor irritation as our euro supply is beginning to go low and we still have five weeks left in europe.

Charming hotel, friendly staff and service! Couldn't ask for more.
We stayed one night in this hotel. Although we didn't spend much time in the hotel, it was still a pleasant stay. Rooms were clean (we booked two) and spacious. Beds were pretty comfortable. The breakfast was traditional German breakfast, and there was plenty to go around.
The property is in a clean, quiet neighborhood, and it's just a short drive to Triberg (maybe about 10 minutes or so).
We definitely plan to return!

Lovely Hotel.

This is the second time I've used this hotel. The location is excellent for visiting Triberg and the black forest. It sits in a lovely neighborhood in Schönwald. The staff and breakfast are wonderful. The one complaint that I have, is that they could use another (or bigger) sign or two to direct people to the hotel, as it is in a residential neighborhood and can be slightly hard to find. Otherwise this is a very excellent hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

Weird shower. Not too close to anything.

The room was clean, but the shower is under a ceiling that slant, so you literally have to squat in order to shower. The location is in a neighborhood, so not close to anything major. The staff is nice enough, and the breakfast is typical European (a few cereals, pastries, coffee, etc.). Parking is free and easy. If you don't have a car, not an easy hotel to get to. Getting there is a pretty drive through the Black Forrest.

The hotel was comfortable, but should advertise the toilet is separate from the sleeping room. The hotel graciously welcomed my dog and allowed him general access to the entire hotel which was a great plus if you are traveling with pets. The hotel restaurant had wonderful food and the breakfast choices very adequate. The room and hotel were very comfortable for the price.

Perfect quiet guesthouse

A wonderful little family run guesthouse in the middle of the Black Forest. I got a two room suite (bedroom and living room) with balcony overlooking the Forest. I was able to walk out of the hotel, walk 50 meters and be on a well maintained trail walking through the Black Forest. Breakfast was traditional German cold cuts and bread with boiled eggs and coffee at request. I was surprised at how many people were at breakfast as the hotel had been so quiet during the night. A car is needed to get here as it is very far from any major city but it's exactly what I was looking for. I would stay here again.

Gem in the heart of the Black Forrest

We hada wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything was extremely clean and the hotel had a lovely sitting room, patio and great breakfast. The hotel also has a restaurant which we very much enjoyed. In fact, we misunderstood the time that dinner was being served and showed up TWO house after it had ended. The owner still served our family a wonderful, freshly prepared meal. Book your stay!

トリベルク村を観光した時に利用しました。移動はバスで、時間帯によるかも知れませんが、１時間に１〜２本くらいだったと思います。

ホテルはバス停から歩いて５分くらいと近く、追加料金なしで朝食が付きました。色々なハムやチーズ、パンにシリアルなどが揃ったビュッフェスタイルです。この旅行では他に４つのホテルに泊まりましたが、無料の朝食サービスはこちらだけでした。

この辺りで次に泊まることがあれば、また利用したいと思います。

Estuvimos alojados en una suite que era la opción que había para 3 personas y la habitación era enorme con una ventana que daba al jardín. El sitio es muy tranquilo lo único que no me gustó es la dificultad para aparcar, ya que el hotel tiene pocos sitios y cuando se terminan te dicen que aparques encima de las aceras cosa que por lo que vimos es habitual pero no te quedas muy tranquilo aparcando así. Tampoco me gustó que no tuviese ascensor, por lo que hay que cargar con las maletas por las escaleras. Nos dejaron un botella de agua con gas gratis en la habitación y unas gominolas.

El desayuno estaba incluido y fue un desayuno buffet muy bueno, había embutido, quesos, fruta cereales, yogures, zumo, todo tipo de infusiones…Había de todo y como estábamos en la suite desayunamos en un comedor solos separados del resto de personas. La verdad es que fue una experiencia muy buena. Lo recomiendo

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Auf eigene Nachfrage wurde uns auch Cappucchino angeboten. Die Einrichtung ist zum Teil sehr in die Jahre gekommen und das Hotel ist nicht einheitlich renoviert. Wir hatten ein Bad nur mit einer kleinen Badewanne unter der Schräge. Für eine Nacht war es ok.

Al llegar nos dijeron que habían tenido un problema en el alojamiento y que nos reubicaban a uno de una calle más abajo clarísimamente en peores condiciones (yo creo que tuvieron overbooking).
Dicho hotel estaba para cogerlo con pinzas. Baño sucio, mobiliario muy viejo, sin luz en la habitación más que dos lámparas y una de ellas sin funcionar, luz del baño casi inexistente. El desayuno bastante escaso y sin reponer prácticamente nada, y eso que sólo coincidimos con dos personas más.
En fin… decepcionante.

Rummet var trångt och lågt i tak. Badrummet var lågt i tak och man fick sitta på en planka i badkaret när man skulle duscha. Tysk rustik standard. Ok frukost.
