Perfect Getaway!!!

This has been one of the best last minute getaway trips!! We werent sure what to expect, after arriving and seeing the peacefulness of the location we did not want to leave to get out for dinner. We spent one night and the entire stay was relaxing and just what we needed to get away for a break. Mrs Lyn was wonderful, breakfast was great, we are looking forward to another stay but for longer. Highly recommended!!!! Do not hesitate this is a MUST book!!!

Wonderful Romantic Getaway

Getting there was easy, Leaving was almost impossible.

We needed a getaway for the weekend and were blown away. We rented the Autumn cottage and were taken back to a different time where things were at a little slower pace. The cottage was clean, neat, organized and the Hostess was lovely. We will be back soon and hopefully for longer next time.

So warm and inviting!

We had a great time! My husband and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary. What a great way to spend it! Lyn was such a great hostess, so warm and inviting. She asked us right into her home where we visited for at least half an hour. The bed was so comfy, and the breakfast was awesome too! The only dissapointment was that we had to leave early and missed our last breakfast!

Front porch and lemondade - Relaxing in Rayne LA

We spent a weekend with Lyn and Ken in their Autumn Cottage. Drove down from DFW on a Friday and having to do it again we'd have stayed longer. It was as relaxing of a couple days as I have spent in a long time. The oversized front porch chairs that sit under huge flowering crape myrtle's was the perfect spot to enjoy the pitcher of lemonade that awaited us upon arrival. Lyn brings a basket each morning to your door with breakfast that included sweet rolls, a sausage and egg dish, fruit and a biscuit. The cottage itself is appointed perfectly for such an occasion and was spotless. Take your fishing pole as there is a pond on property with nobody fishing it. The walks around the pond and over the bridge have a romantic flare and we enjoyed the every minute.

Noto Wedding Weekend

My son got married this past weekend in Scott with the reception in Rayne. I rented all 4 cottages for my immediate family. It was a GREAT weekend. Every cottage was extremely clean and well maintained. The breakfast delivered to your door each morning was delicious!! Lyn is an excellent cook and hostess. I would highly recommend the cottages for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

Weekend Getaway for R & R

We stayed 3 nights and seldom left our cottage. We felt like we wee in our own home away from home and really enjoyed just being together reading or resting. It was great!!! Next time we will stay longer. We drove 300 just to getaway from everything & everybody and it was worth it. Lyn provided us with a wonderful breakfast and we had bought a few groceries, so we didnt have to go out if we chose not to. We opted to go to dinner a couple of times and really enjoyed our whole experience.

I am not exaggerating when I say this is one of the happiest experiences of my life! A slice of what heaven will be like! If you love history and charm...this has it...in bushels.

We stayed in the Autumn Cottage which was a turn of the century lumber office in Rayne, LA.. Ken, the owner, had a vision of restoration that was beautifully realized. Not overdone, to strip it of it's character, it has all the old shiplap, bead board, clapboard siding, front door with transom, windows, and wood floors...which make it imperfectly PERFECT! Tastefully decorated, by his wife Lyn(co-owner), to give it a very sweet little farmhouse cottage feel. I don't want to give too much away, because I want you to be surprised, but all the details will make you sigh with delight! My husband and I did. Too many times to count!

What a jewel - tucked away behind the hustle and bustle in a beautiful setting that is pristine and romantic and relaxing. We could not have asked for a more delightful experience. Lyn, Ken and Daisy are wonderful hosts - friendly and warm and inviting. Our cottage was beyond comfortable and what an amazing night's sleep we had! And breakfast the next morning, delivered to our door, was fabulous. Can't wait to stay there again.

Surprised my husband on his birthday with a stay in the Sweet Surrender Cottage. Everything about our stay was amazing! The cottage was so quaint and beautifully decorated. The grounds were beautiful, peaceful and serene. Lyn was so welcoming and it was a joy to visit with her. The breakfast was amazing and delicious! We enjoyed our breakfast overlooking the beautiful lake located on the property. This was the best B&B we have ever visited...we can't wait to return!

Relaxing time after wedding

Very homey and welcoming feel. We were able to relax after our wedding and enjoy our time together. Breakfast was good and kitchen was stocked with items we needed to cook our lunch and dinner. Beverages provided in fridge were great. It was cold, but we still enjoyed the great view outside from the inclosed porch. Bed was amazing!!!! Will definitely be coming back

Mrs.Lyn did an outstanding job with making our stay perfect. Her fresh breakfast that she brought to our door each morning was beyond delicious! The property is a perfect quite get away with beautiful scenery and a gorgeous pond and pier. The cottage was exactly how it was pictured. Very clean, cozy and spacious. But the best thing was the smiles and warm welcomes we got from Mrs.Lyn and her husband. If you want to plan a little get away, even if your from the town, this is the place to go! Thank yall again

Perfect Anniversary Getaway!

My wife and I visited the Autumn Cottage celebrating our third wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay.

The cottage and property are absolutely beautiful! Mrs. Lyn delivered an AMAZING three course breakfast to our door in a picnic basket both mornings between 8 and 8:30am that included a printout of the weather for the day and a menu of the breakfast with a prayer for the day. The addition of fresh lemonade, juices and water in the refrigerator along with stocked cabinets of community coffee and condiments was nice! We loved sipping our coffee in the rockers on the front porch...it was quiet and peaceful. Mrs. Lyn recommended Imonellis in Lafayette for our anniversary dinner and the crab cakes were to die for! The second night we ordered crawfish enchiladas from Chef Roys right around the corner which we highly recommend.

Our getaway was amazingly relaxing and we cant wait to return in the years to come! We plan to stay in the Country Garden Cottage next.

Where Expectations Meet Reality

Our romantic weekend at the Sweet Surrender Cottage was everything we expected it be. It's close enough to the city to get out for dinner or a movie. Yet, tucked away at the back of the property with a breath taking view of the lake where we went fishing during the day and night. You won't catch the big one however, if you're looking for peace and tranquility this is your place. The owners' attention to the smallest detail is incredible. From the refrigerator stocked with a variety of drinks to everything you need to enjoy the heart shaped jacuzzi tub. We looked forward each morning to the knock at the door to let us know breakfast had arrived. The homemade stuffed french toast was everything! Maison D'Memoire will not disappoint.

My husband and I stayed a night at the beautiful Autumn Cottage. The cottage was clean, decorated beautifully with antiques and every detail had been thought of. A full pitcher of delicious lemonade was in refrigerator to greet us, homemade wonderful breakfast was delivered to our door. Kitchen and bath fully equipped with spa soap and lotion, robes, linens. Owners truly go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Love the privacy also. Will visit again soon!!!

Wonderful Stay!

My husband and I spent our first two nights here, on our honeymoon. It was wonderful! There was a mix up with our key, when we arrived after midnight, but our hosts were so kind to get up and provide a new key for us.

Breakfast was exceptional, and the privacy of our cottage was really nice.

Our stay was truly memorable, and we hope to come back soon!

Wonderful Couple Getaway

We decided on a Bed and Breakfast within 2 hours of home for our anniversary. My husband found Maison D'Memoire. Our cottage was beautiful! Our rockers on the porch faced the huge pond. We felt we were the only ones there. The inside of the cottage was like stepping back into simpler times. Each room was beautiful. From stained glass to the quilt on the bed to the claw foot tub to fresh squeezed lemonade and cookies. And the breakfasts were so delicious.

We have stay in 3 of the 4 cottages they offer and loved all 3! We have stay in each one twice so far! We go back yearly to relax, rejuvenate, and refuel. The breakfast is awesome and they stay is so peaceful!
