This is a classic-style hotel—not modern, but very well maintained and not run-down. The location is very convenient, just one block away from Nanjing Street, with a convenience store right across the street. The room was clean, and the staff were very helpful. I especially appreciated the bathtub and the many elevators, so there was no long wait to go up to the room or down to the lobby. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it.

it was a very pleasant stay. The location cannot be better. The rooms are large and plenty of room to hang clothes. Selections are varied and plentiful. Toilets can be upgraded to Toto type of toilets found in newer hotels. Otherwise there is nothing to complain and everything to be recommended.

Everything is good except check in and check out procedure. At check in, staff made mistake. After entering the room, staff called and required us to to go to reception again with our credit card. At check out, staff couldn’t make the transaction go through. After multiple tries, a senior staff helped and found out the original staff made mistake. We were standing at the reception for 20 minutes, without receiving apologies.

The room was a good size and comfortable bed. The aircon, even if switched to cool, only blasted out heat. I ended up switching it off and opening the windows. The sound proofing was poor, so most of the night all you can hear was the ding of the elevator every minute. The staff are very unfriendly. The manageress tried to upsell another more expensive room to me because the one we booked “wasn’t ready” at 2pm the time of check in, yet magically it was 5 mins later when I asked someone else. I probably wouldn’t stay here again

The room has charging port which does not require me to take out my adapter which is super convenient! Room is very big! Staff also very helpful especially the hotel managers and the Concierge. •The room was clean, though the décor and furnishings were outdated.
•The bathroom requires renovation, as water leaked onto the floor during showers.

Our room was clean and thoroughly tidied each day. We appreciate the attention to detail of each staff member and their kindness and awareness. We used the sauna ammenities and had a lovely time. The concierge we used to pass on items to a third party laundry we give were super helpful. The receptionists were well equipped with helpful information in both English and Mandarin. There have no laundromat for customers , the breakfast kiosk lady is very rude no friendly at all, the servers’ clothing was very untidy , the front deck’s sofa and elevator’s carpet need are ran off need to replaced. Otherwise it is a good hotel close to Nanjing walking street.

Lovely central location for the Bund

Lovely central location for the Bund, Yuyu gardens and the metro for temples. It also has a reasonable gym, sauna and jacuzzi. Room sizes are large and spacious and the concierge service was excellent in sorting us a taxi to Wuzhen.

Great location. Very accessible to the main shopping strip and easy walk to the Bund. The hotel has a classic grand feel to it. Check in took some time, they will hold bags until check in time (which they are strict with unless you pay extra for early check in). The room was spacious and considering the age, was very clean. The bed was comfy. There was no bad smells. We included breakfast with our stay, there was a decent selection of hot Asian dishes as well as the usual bread, eggs, bacon, salad bar. The food was pretty meh but saved us going out each morning

What we liked:

It was our 2nd time staying at this hotel when visiting Shanghai. The 1st time, we were given a room with an amazing view of Nanjing Road but this time, we had a view on the other side of the building (where the Family Mart is) and it was not a problem but it was less interesting.

The room is very spacious, clean and quiet. The bed is comfortable and the pillows are on the firmer side. The bathroom is very spacious and it has both a standing shower and a bathtub shower.

In terms of location, the hotel is right by Nanjing Road and walking distance to the Bund. It’s also close to 3 metro stations (Nanjing Road East, Nanjing Road West and People’s Square). Very conveniently located to go buy breakfast in the morning on Nanjing Road.

We enjoyed our stay.

What we think can be improved:

We hope the hotel will become more environmentally friendly by moving away from tiny bottles of shampoo/conditioner and switching to larger refillable bottles.

Our stay was comfortable. Check in was very smooth and we were asked if we wanted an upgrade to Executive Room,breakfast inclusive for a very good price. We loved the services provided by the hotel. There was also a 200RMB coupon for massages given. There was a complimentary plate of fruits provided for us.

Location is very good. The hotel is a little bit old and need renovation, but it's clean. The only thing I don't like is check out take very long time. Overall it is a good hotel.

Perfect location for walking to the Bund for night life, shopping on Nanjing Road (main shopping malls in Shanghai), or Huanghe Road for local dining (for fresh made to serve Xiaolongbao). If you are an early bird, try to get to the Bund at 6am and you will see locals with dragon dancing, they are super friendly if you would like to try!

This place is near to metro line, shopping street and eating restaurants. The hotel is clean. The cleaner cleans until the floor are very shining. Fast service whenever you ask for help. Only thing Im not happy is that we have to pay rmb 1k deposit. We need to swap the credit card rmb1k on top of the room rate during check in. This is the hotel policy that we cant change.

다른 호텔이랑 비교할 필요가 없는 것 같음.

A very comfortable 4-star hotel with very good amenities, helpful staff and excellent location.
After a long flight from Paris, it was heavenly to enter a clean and pleasant room and to be able to shower, put on one of the robes provided by the hotel and to order room service.

The property is very old, the elevators are not cleaned well and show a lot of wear and tear. The rooms are good, nice corner high floor room. They did not give any special consideration to VIP Access even just early check-in just 30mins before 3pm.
