I really enjoyed my time at this hotel. Everything was super clean and quiet, which made it easy to relax. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Even with a bit of a language barrier, they made sure everything went smoothly. The breakfast was awesome, with plenty of tasty options to choose from, and the restaurant was great too! The food was delicious and the service was just as good. It is also an easy 9 minute walk through a quiet neighborhood to the metro! Overall, a wonderful experience and I’d definitely stay here again!

This property as well as one around the corner from it represents true Bavarian style. My room was very clean and comfortable. The entire staff was quite accommodating.
I had to ask the desk clerk, after I had searched for my room and couldn't find it to assist me. He did it with a smile and assisted with my luggage My German isn't very good, but with my translator app, we were able to communicate.
I LOVE this hotel and will stay here again when I return to Münich.

The property was in a nice area and the furnishes were nice and comfortable.
The problem is my room was very small and compact - very uncomfortable (on the 3rd floor as the rooftop blocked much of the space). Furthermore, there's no elevator! I had to walk back and forth 3 floors with my luggage! Of course, no one from the staff offered any help. I think that if you own a hotel with no elevator, it is reasonable to employ a bellboy. Finally, the room was not clean enough, as there was dust on the shelves.

The room had no electricity and part of it we have to call somebody to turn it on and the next day we had the same problem so we couldn't blow dry our hair.
The room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. I requested to get a free coffee for the inconvenience and was subjected to an argument

The score would have been perfect but on the last day the guy receptionist said we had to pay for a breakfast because we got in early on the first day and the receptionist on that day said we could help ourselves. I don't think it's fair that we had to pay when we weren't told we would have to, plus we didn't get to have breakfast on the last day so it felt like it should just go to that. I wish the shower and sheets were bigger and the bed a bit softer. Oh, and it would of been nice if the youtube/netflix button worked on the tv.

Okay but Not Great Stay on Outskirts of Munich

My husband and I booked this hotel because it offered parking and it was cost effective. This hotel appeared to be either mainly for long-term residents or were apartments. The woman at the front desk wasn't very helpful when asked how best to get into Munich but she checked us in quickly. The hotel is made up of several buildings, ours was on a quiet street. The room itself was small, with a small bathroom, bed, armchair, desk, side table, large closet and TV with an English station (CNN). The room would be a little nicer than an American Motel 6. There is no air conditioning in the room, but there was a large window. We didn't feel safe enough to leave the window open at night so it was very hot. They left a little bag of gummy bears on our pillows. The hotel was on the outskirts of Munich - a 20-50 minute drive depending on the time of day.
My husband turned a knob in the shower which looked like the cold water (silver and blue) and it apparently turned off the water for the whole unit. We realized the next morning that we didn't have any running water in the room. I called down to reception early in the morning and the man came up and fixed it for us quickly.
Breakfast offered a wide variety of lunchmeat, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, pastries, breads and eggs.
Parking - there are several spots, probably around 12 or so spots, right on the side of the hotel facing the rooms. There is also some street parking or an underground lot which we did not need to use.

we arrived at this delightful hotel quite early after a gruelling 12 hr flight from shanghai. We were greeted by a snowy fairytale scene, a pretty hotel, opposite a tiny white church. The hotel manager welcomed us, suggested breakfast, and offered us our room, which was ready despite the early hour, a lifesaver to 2 very weary travellers. The room was lovely. Refreshed, we spent the day in Munich, a short walk and short train journey away, then returned to a superb Italian meal in the restaurant. The only improvement would be tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge in the room.

The property is within walking distance to the convention site but other than the convention site, there is nothing around this hotel except run down apartment style buildings. Noisy from kids play, neighbors and lots of other distractions.
Kind of unfriendly, would expect smiles once in a while. Bed was old and uncomfortable.
Would not stay here again.

A charming old world hotel.

This is a traditional Bavarian style hotel with old world charm. Not luxurious but meets all basic needs. I was there during the summer when it was hot and there was no air conditioning and little ventilation. Other than that I had no complaints. The service was minimalist but good. It is a little isolated but within an easy walk to a couple of restaurants and a train which can get you quickly into town. The restaurant was closed when I was there so I cannot comment on the food. Overall 3 stars is appropriate and I would stay there again.

It was even better than I expected! The rooms were good that staff were nice and there wasn’t anything bad I could really say. Only downside for me is maybe that it was a bit anoyying that the restaurant was in a different building to the rooms.

Pleasant, cost-effective business stay for the ICM

Nice, cost-effective hotel with a pretty building just a pleasant 10-minute walk from the ICM. My room was in the corner of the top floor, with sloping ceilings and very nice window boxes. It felt spacious, was impeccably clean, and the bathroom although nothing elaborate, was really beautifully finished and clean like new.
The area is quiet, with the hotel set down a pretty cobbled street off the main road. Common areas of the hotel felt well-used, but not so much as to be off-putting. My only niggle was that the atmosphere of the restaurant felt a little snooty in the evening, but in the morning there was a relaxed and friendly breakfast with a decent spread. Two minutes' walk away there's the much more expensive Hotel Prinzregent, whose restaurant is excellent and costs about the same with a more varied menu. There's also a good, well-priced Indian restaurant at the end of the road, and a pizza place at the other end that I didn't have time to try.

We have stayed here 3 times, the rooms are mostly in a separate annexe. Rooms are good, bathroom a bit cramped. Nice touches such as bottled water and sweets on the pillow.
Wifi is an extra charge which these days is not good. Breakfast is excellent. Serving staff are friendly but reception staff could be more welcoming.
Overall a very good stay and very good value.

Make sure you get a room in the main building

The main hotel is nice, but we were put in a Dependance room without notice down the street form the main building. The room was small and not what was promised in the reservation (and not worth what we paid). That being said, the service and breakfast were great. Also a nice location, close enough to the Riem S-Bahn station.

We chose this hotel because it was a typical German small hotel.It is about twenty minutes from downtown Munich in a quite area with excellent bus and train service.Most of the girls at the front desk spoke English and were very helpful.The breakfast was excellent but the Italien restaurant was just O.K. but the service was not up to par.The room was small but comfortable and clean.Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Hope you like bells

The noise pollution caused by bells ringing every fifteen minutes from a nearby church shattered the normal peace and quiet.
The pillows were too soft which is a very small moan for an otherwise really good hotel. (just needs moving a mile away from the church).
All the staff were very helpful the breakfast provided seemed to cater for all nationalities needs.

As I needed a hotel near teh International Conference Centre, the hotel was ideally located . The rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily. As most of teh day I was at the conference, I had little exposure to teh surroundings. The service provided was adequate for the three star hotel. Overall I didnot experience any major problems.

Good value in suburbs near dining and transport

Our German friend suggested this as it was close to her suburb so that she could come fetch us easily. We weren't going to spend much time hanging out in it while visiting her and Munich, so it was a good fit. Clean and neat to come home to and less expensive. In a quiet suburb named Reim, we could easily take the bus or with a short walk, the S-bahn into the city. Breakfast was included, and we enjoyed this cold buffet every morning. All staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a larger modern section, which was just fine - comfy room, clean, neat bathroom. The drying rack hooked into the plumbing was a plus. The Italian restaurant attached was delicious for lunch or dinner, and a few steps away was excellent PrinzRegent restaurant. A charming little church next door with occasional bell ringing. A nice balcony for use when it is sunny. The only drawbacks were no elevator (we had third floor room), and the king size bed was really two beds pushed together, with a crack in the middle. The ceiling is pitched, so my husband bumped his head a few times getting out of bed. Current small construction across the lane a noise issue at times, but we did not stay much during day. It is a business hotel, and only one night we were bothered by a group of recently arrived co-workers talking loudly in the courtyard at midnight. For the most part, it was a lovely memorable stay and we would return, particularly knowing getting into the city was so easy.

Back to University accommodation!!!

\"Your room is in our partner building\" - this is a building behind the hotel which houses small rooms, very small bathrooms and an overall feeling of being back at university. What a shame since the main building is lovely. If only they could tell you which building you'll be in when you book. It was relatively cheap so perhaps if you pay a premium you'll actually stay in the rooms pictured. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Lovely food and great surroundings.

If you want a more traditional hotel with modern and clean rooms this place is for you. This is a lovely place to stay in a very quiet area of Munich.
The staff were very helpful and looked after us well even our requests at breakfast which included a great buffet.
The only thing that was a little disappointing was our room was quite cold as it was -6 and snowing outside!
Would recommend this hotel highly for it's easy access to the amazing public transport into central Munich.

Hotel was a bit out of city center but ideal place for driving to. there was plenty fo free parking and it was a 7 minute walk to the S-bahn to take us to city. 7 stops on S-bahn and 2 U-bahn stops. ( cost 10.20 Euro for 5 adults per day )The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is typical you find in hotels in Germany and was very good. It had a coffer bar for more exotic coffees for breakfast. Rooms were average you find around Germany with a small bathroom but they were spotless. The beds were very comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to my friends visiting Oktoberfest.

Nice, Cozy Hotel in a Quiet Neighborhood

This is a nice and cozy hotel in a quiet neighborhood - especially well suited for business travelers attending a conference at the International Congress Center in Munich (ICM). It is at a walkable distance to the ICM and quite close to the Riem S-bahn station. The room I stayed in didn't have an air conditioner. So it was a bit hot on a couple of nights (in July), especially after spending the evening walking quite a bit around the city. The staff were very nice and friendly.

First of all.. the hotel you see in the picture is not where you stay. You are directed to the back side of the hotel to additional dorm style buildings. The location is about a 10 minute drive to downtown munich, but nothing exceptional in the area. No AC and hot rooms (the temp outside at night was around 60 degrees, but the room felt like 80). No elevator available and parking was first come first serve, sharing with the locals who lived in the building. Rooms were small and the bathroom was smaller than an apartment closet. All together we left a day early and ate the penalty fee to stay at another hotel. Only positive to the hotel was its Restaurant, but a meal for two cost more than a nights stay at the hotel. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel for your stay.

We stayed here during Oktoberfest and considering the price for that time of year, we were satisfied with the hotel and would recommend it to others. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The only three problems we had is: a roll-away bed we requested was not available so someone had to sleep on the floor; the breakfast was suppose to be until 11am but when I went down at 10:45, it had already been put away; and the room does NOT have an air conditioner. Luckily it was cool enough outside that we weren’t uncomfortable. But I prefer an AC in my room and was disappointed their description of the room was inaccurate.
The walk to the train station was less than 10 minutes (and my husband is a slow walker). The neighborhood is really dark at night but I didn’t feel too uncomfortable walking with my group.
Any other time of year, I would prefer to stay closer to the city center. But for Oktoberfest or if your reason for travel is near the hotel, I would recommend it. I met several repeat business customers while I was at the hotel which is usually a good indication.

We booked this hotel while visiting Oktoberfest. It was the closest one for a reasonable price, since hotel rates duplicate (or more). It's a little far from the City Center AND Oktoberfest. If you don't mind taking the S train (station is just 5 minutes walk) and travelling about 15-20 minutes to city center and/or Oktoberfest, it's a decent hotel to stay, clean, with helpful and kind staff. Pros: cheap (relatively speaking), clean, free internet access in the hotel lobby, quiet neighbourhood Cons: far from the center, neighbourhood with rare restaurants/stores, no air conditioner, no complimentary internet (come on! it's not that difficult to provide your guests with that!), church quite near + bells = no nap, no breakfast - additional 10 EUR (more than what I spent for a meal, even in Oktoberfest itself)

No elevator, no manned reception most of the time, bar and restaurant closed early so no food alternatives when I arrived, had to go to the neighbour hotel. Very poor selection in the self service shop. No elevator, and I lived upstairs. The crew was nice when they were there. It is the sum of everything else that is poor.

Unser Zimmer war sehr schön, klein, aber alles gut, nett eingerichtet und sauber.
Wir haben auch im zugehörigen - sehr ansprechend aussehenden - Restaurant zu Abend gegessen. Ich hatte eine Entenkeule mit Rotkohl für 31 €. Obwohl ich nie große Portionen esse, war das doch eher eine sehr kleine Portion. Der Rotkohl war sehr gut, aber es war dennoch zu wenig. Mein Mann fragte nach etwas mehr Soße zu seinem Schweinebauch und für mich etwas mehr Rotkohl. Das sollte mit 5 € zusätzlich berechnet werden und wurde von dem Kellner so kommentiert: \"Zum Schweinebauch gehört sowieso kein Rotkohl\". Auf jeden Fall wurde leider auch keine zusätzliche Soße zum Braten serviert.
Das hat uns den Abend leider etwas verleidet.

Overnattet kun en natt, men service på resepsjonen virket veldig bra og effektiv. Er fornøyd med oppholdet.

Easy to park, short clear way to aeroport. Nice to travel by train to Munchen. Good breakfast. Room nice, good beds. Children playing in the garden but at night very peacyful,
Restaurant had good food from Bayern.

Especially the hotel staff takes care of you in every aspect. They can do anything for you. They are very practical and do not feel foreign to you. They helped with all matters such as vehicle charging station. Perfect for electric vehicle users.

Leider konnten wir nicht einchecken, da es einen Wasserschaden im gebuchten Zimmer gab.
Das Hotel hat sich aber rechtzeitig bei uns gemeldet und parallel bereits ein Zimmer im nebenliegenden Hotel gebucht (zuzüglich Frühstück, welches wir vorerst nicht gebucht hatten).
Extrem zuvorkommenden und freundlich!

das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen, idyllischen Umgebung. Mit dem Bus oder der S Bahn fährt man ins Zentrum von München.Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, das Frühstück perfekt und liebevoll hergerichtet. Das personal ist sehr bemüht. Nur leider ist der Biergastgarten nicht in Betrieb, schade!

Cozy hotel, but some problems

We stayed here during our attendance at fair in Munich. Location of the hotel is very nice and cosy away from the bustling area arround the fair.
Very nice courtyard where they serve nice food and good drinks. Breakfast was ok, but not great.
But please note that the pictures here in Hotels.com of the rooms here is not very representative for the rooms they have.
We got a very small room that definitely not looked like the room in the pictures.
Most of their rooms are in a side building, that is more like a residential building, and not very cosy.
We stayed there for 5 days, but did only get our room cleaned one time during our stay, and the cleaning was only making of bed and new towels, bathroom was not cleaned at all - and also there was old dirt under the bed.
Receptionist was nice and tried to help us get another room, but none was available.
And finally no aircondition in the rooms made it almost impossible to sleep because the room got very warm.
So could have been much better, and its a shame because its actually a nice place.
