Good location for easy access to beach and bus

There are three pools which have plenty of space for a lot of people. The pool areas are clean and very nice. Plenty of space in the lobby to hang out. Friendly and helpful staff for my 5 days stay.

Hotel was pleasant, the room was basic but clean....room service was a bit hit and miss (some days clean towels, some days no towels....some days bed made...other days not)...
We enjoyed the pool and my daughter loved the kids club and entertainment.
We were b&b but did have a couple of evening meals which were ok and pretty good value for money but would have probably got boring had we been half board or all inc....
Breakfast had a decent selection so could have a variety...i would have preferred it to be available until 10am as 9.30.seemed a bit early for a holiday (it was always busy around 9am!)
Overall i would say it was more like a 3 star as quite dated but for the money we paid i was overall happy with my stay and have to add that all the staff were exceptional.

The hotel is what it advertises, so if you want 5* it not the hotel for you, it needs a bit of tlc, but saying that it has everything you need. The staff are lovely and nothing h us to much trouble, always have a smile and a greeting, no matter what member of staff they are.
Food is hit and miss. We found best offerings where lunch time in the pool restaurant, but let’s be honest it always is when all inclusive.

The hotel is in dire need of refurbishment.Doors to apartments with huge gaps. Corridors grubby. Pool has missing tiles. Don't bother with \"upgrade\" to suite, as the lounge area is dismal with no outside view. Bathroom has bath for a shower as you would expect in a 2-star hotel, with no safety mat. (See photo, attached)

Beach is only accessible after a treck up the road and over an area of wasteland. In fact, find another hotel.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel conditions. However, the hotel is cosy enough to stat there. Room was simple, but comfortable. Good breakfast. Soundproofing is terrible but this is typical in Cyprus. Hotel is located in a walkable distance as from the town centre, as the seaside.

Hotel gave me the wrong room

When I arrived at the hotel, they placed me in the wrong type of room without even explaining. I paid for a suite but was given a small room. They explain all the suits are now taken. To travel all that way and to be told we don’t have the room you paid for isn’t great business. I did get the refund difference of the suite to a small room but, I wasn’t happy that I didn’t get what I paid for.

Fine pool area. Always possible to get a sun bed. Rooms are fine, a bit old, but fine.

I will not reccomend all inclusive, the food is really bad. Not fresh and warm, and limited choices for Dinner.

Location is fine.

All in all fine to stay here, but do not pay for All Inclusive - waste of money.

The service of the guys in the restaurant and the staff in the pool area is very helpful and friendly!! Sums up the whole trip as 3.8 stars.
Because of the horrible check-in experience I had due to an inefficient employee.
There was a really nice employee who was on duty with her. But the other pushed into our conversation every minute and was rude.
** The towels in the bathrooms were a bit dirty with makeup stains that probably didn't come off in the wash. In addition, the sheets also had makeup stains. That's why I think the place deserves 3.8 stars in my opinion.
I gave this grade because of the staff at the restaurant who were so kind and efficient.
because the place would have received 2 stars (for disrespectful treatment by one female employee. and dirty towels and sheets)

The Sea View Suite isn’t worth the extra money you pay for the view and living space as the bathroom you get is unsatisfactory. There was 1 small light above the sink which barely lit up the bathroom so it felt like you were washing in a prison cell. There was a shower head you had to hold to wash yourself as the one attached to the wall didn't work but leaked when turned on. There was mould and stains and the bathtub was broken as it wasn't supported underneath and we could feel the tub bending under our feet.

We found stains on the towels and bedsheet. There were multiple lights in the room that weren't working. We weren't given a duvet as housekeeping forgot.

We went to complain to reception but the girls were uninterested and didn't provide any useful solutions. The next day we complained again and they moved us to another room on the 2nd floor. The view was better but the bathroom was the same and still dimly lit so we put a lamp in there ourselves.

The security of the hotel rooms are poor. You are given a physical door key with a metal keyring attached which says the hotel name and room number. If you lose the key anyone who finds it will know exactly where to go and what room to open.

The rest of our stay was pleasant. The hotel is in a good location. The bar/entertainment staff were really friendly. The evening entertainment was interesting (fire shows, singers and bingo nights).

Overall, I would recommend to book any room except the Sea View Suite.

The beds were hard, pillows were hard, we were given soiled towels all three days and a few of the towels had big holes in them. The room was cleaned daily but not thoroughly, you notice this by the stains in the bathroom shower. It was disgusting. The breakfast was okay but you can tell the deli meat is moldy. Skip this one.

I would not say this is 4 star hotel. It's more like a 3 star. Generally all staff are polite and very attentive. However, you get a few that are very rude and not willing to help or guide you in the right direction. I wanted to ask for glasses from the bar and I approach a Avlida Hotel staff member who very very rudely said \"Its not my job to talk to you\" There was absolutely no need for such a rude comment. At least guide me in the right direction and I'll speak to another member of staff for what I needed. Manner less man. Hotel is very clean, great drink options and great entertainment. Especially, the fire show, it's a must watch. For a 6 night stay it was decent enough and at a reasonable price.

Unfortunatly. Full of little disappointments.
The rooms are tired and dated, stuck in the 80s and need a full refubishment.
Bed sheets never fitted the bed.
Room not clean when we arrived, shower had sand on the floor.
Tea and coffee never replenished, had to buy our own.
Balcony door always left open after asking reception to ask cleaners not to 3 times.
Used cups not repleaced and dirty glasses not changed.
3 drawer chest only had one draw. Nothing done after asking for it to be sorted 3 times.
Hotel entertainment was terrible, with poor acts, bingo and karioke. (this is a personal view as I am sure some people liked it).
On the plus side. The hotel is situated in a convenient place to get into paphos, and walking distance to Venus Beach. The staff were friendly and polite.
Just a pity with the lack of investment in the building..

wont be going there again.

This must have been listed as a 2 or 3-star hotel. The hotel is quite outdated and not exactly clean. Walls and doors are paper thin, so you always know what's happening on the floor. Some device in the corridor (fire alarm?) goes off and keeps beeping at any random time of the day and night. Food is not great but ok. Swimming pools and the area around them are pretty cool though, including child care corner. Parking right in front is a plus.

Lovely hotel, staff are super friendly !! We made fast friends with all the staff especially mavros and George the bar managers who are amazing at their job and very funny! And cosmin the hotel entertainer who was great fun ! The restaurant chefs were very helpful and made amazing food the kleftiko was amazing! Rooms were cleaned daily ! Pool was clean and warm! Sun loungers were basic but good ! Hotel is close to bars and the beach! You can get a bus for 1.50 to coral bay or the harbour!

It wasnt value for money. The pictures on website are misleading. The hotel is very primitive. The corridoors arent vibrant enough, just feels depressing. The doors arent really up to security standards as other hotels i went to use key fobs while we use keys. The mechanism is easy to infiltrate as locks can be easily picked. Ive seen a few mice running around the second floor stairway at night!!!. The food was awful. The chicken was over cooked and the menu was very limited. The staff except charis, patience and Andreas wasnt very friendly. A few of the bar tenders are polite but remaining staff arent. The entertainer had an understudy for the aqua aerobics who wasnt even qualified who he left on her own to take the class which is highly risky and unprofessional. The manager of the hotel doesnt know how to speak to his staff properly which is highly unprofessional. I wouldnt recommend anyone stay at this hotel. If im honest i would like a partial refund as paying 588gbp for my stay was definitely not worth it. A few people i met at the resort paid near the same price as i did and got all inclusive and i was half board. Seriously disappointed with this experience.

Overall, a nice stay. The hotel needs a bit of TLC, and some of the staff weren't particularly helpful, bordering on rude. The breakfast was alright, with hot and cold options available but a bit of variety would have been nice, as apart from the alternating pancake/egg station, all of the breakfast items were the same each day. Special mention to Patience, who was helpful and friendly. The hotel is close to restaurants and bars, and is only 10 mins drive from the harbour and 15 from Coral Bay.

This hotel really is not a 4 star.
The food was very repetitive, every day the same salads and puddings. The snacks were disappointing - on the list there were supposed to be choices of sandwiches, two of those mentioned were never available and lots of the hot food was overcooked to the point that any meat was dry and tough.
The daily activities were repetitive and the evening entertainment was bad, three out of six nights were singers, two of which couldn't sing.
The website states the hotel provides slippers and bathrobes giving a smart impression, when I asked for them as they weren't in the room I was told they don't have them. When I asked a different member of reception I was told they only give them to guests in suites. I pointed out the website does not state that and that they are deceiving their guests. Receptionist agreed and said website would be updated. For the record it hasn't been...
The rooms appear to have no soundproofing, you can hear voices through interjoining doors and vents in the bathroom.
The supervisors were very hard on the staff who were all working so hard. It is not a happy place to work, that is clear.
George the barman and Louis on reception are lovely.
The rooms were ok but had very outdated furniture and the air conditioning didnt work.
I'd give this hotel a 3* just but no more.

Although this hotel was recently renovated it remains really rather dated. Lovely big rooms though and comfortable beds with clean sheets and lovely pillows. Had some great sleeps there. The rooms are clean but not spotless. I had stains in the loo and dusty floors with hair. I stepped on a big ant and it remained in the same place on the floor for 2 days. The best thing about this hotel is the staff who are really lovely and sorted out any issues we had with our rooms immediately. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful and the breakfast staff were excellent in particular Adrian who was brilliant organising us fresh milk daily ( they only serve UHT with everything ). He is a real asset to the hotel!

A superb stay at the VERY affordable Avlida Hotel. Combining it's excellent food and beverage offerings with it's homey atmosphere, kinder-spirited personnel and well-thought services and facilities, from the ultra-fast wifi up to its amazing pools and the fabulous nightly entertainment shows, this conveniently located 4* resort is a must-visit for any traveler either on a budget or an eye for the unique and exceptional. I thoroughly recommend visiting this hidden gem, I know we will again, and very soon!

This is not a 4 star hotel, more 2/3 star. It’s an old hotel which has had a poor paint job. It has potential as they have put a smart tv with Netflix in rooms, a good hairdryer, fridge, good shower and sockets with USB ports but rooms have paper thin walls so noisy at all hours, ( twice got up to ask neighbours to be quiet in the early hours) & beds are so hard I got better sleep on a pebble beach! When I complained about beds and noise they did eventually give me a more comfortable room but it took a lot of effort, no verbal apologies but sent us a standard letter with a bottle of poor quality wine, had 2 of these! . kept asking to speak to manager as staff not empowered to deal but never materialised.
we were b&b, had to ask for fresh fruit and though adequate food it was more like a canteen with unhappy looking staff. Glad we weren’t full board!
When taxi driver taking us to airport asked if we enjoyed our holiday and we said we loved Cyprus but not the hotel he said we were not the first he’s heard complain about it.
Would not recommend this hotel to others until they sort these issues out but Cyprus is well worth a visit.

The check-in and check-out were fast and swift. The room was clean and includes what was detailed on the website. Disappointed by the balcony view. I choose the courtyard side, yet I was on the first floor and no view on the swimming pool or any beautiful view. The common areas are not very clean (e.g. near the swimming pool and outside bar and the courtyard). The hotel is serviced by only two lifts (very slow and very tight - max of 4). No proper indication for the different amenities/places (you need to ask all the time). Breakfast is quite good and comprehensive. My only concern is there no real coffee machine (daily i walk out to have a proper cappuccino). Also, there is no proper air circulation in the restroom/reception hall (omelette/oily and strong smelly food - no proper exhaust system). There is no accessible beach from Hotel yet it is on a fairly walkable distance (1km - 10min) via a safe route. The TV doesn't include international tv channel bouquets and you need to pay extra for the safe and deposit for beach towels. The staff are generally nice, welcoming and helpful. The first two days my room was cleaned after 4 PM and once I comment on this the next days it was done as early as 10 AM. Many shops and one market (Lidl), as well as a variety of restaurants, are surrounding the hotel on the main road. There are two bars in the hotel (reception & pool) however they are sequential not parallelly operated. This a mass-type of hotels (morning sun and bingo nights).

This hotel definitely need some upgrades. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. Very old! The shower was also filled with mold. I wouldn’t stay again if I knew the area. I would stay down near the port area.

Staff were super helpful and friendly, breakfast great choice of cooked and continental, rooms cleaned to high spec and great location to get buses from one end of the bay to the other. 2 excellent restaurants close by if not all inclusive with other additional tavernas within walking distance. Had best massage I've ever had with super friendly masseuse. Main downside was beds a little on hard side but this is obviously a personal choice as my husband found them fine. Would recommend this hotel

The bed was very uncomfortable and very hard. I couldn't sleep all night.
The second night before we go for sleep we decide to leave at 10 o'clock from the hotel because we couldn't past again the same (without sleeping)!
The housekeeping she games for clean our bedroom at 4.00 o'clock, this time we went in our room for rest.

Avlida Paphos.

The Avlida is one of the best hotels I have stayed in, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Wish we could of stayed longer. Defo go back again.
