This was an amazing little hotel in town. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. The fireplace was warm and cozy. They were welcoming to me cat. My only complaint is that the sofa was really uncomfortable.

I will definitely be staying here next time I'm in town.

Rustic stay and beautiful Grand Lake

This is a very cute, rustic hotel with friendly staff. We were spending the day at Estes Park and we got a phone call from the front desk, confirming our check-in date and also explaining the procedure if we were arriving past 9 PM since the front office would be closed. I felt this was a beautiful way to start our stay at this hotel.

Had a fine stay. My only complaint: I booked through Expedia and it clearly showed the room I chose had a fireplace. Upon arrival the desk had no record of this selection and charged extra to get what I thought I had already paid for. I don't know if this is
Expedia's fault or the hotel's. But, whatever the reason, it is misleading and annoying.

My friend and I stopped and stayed here on our way back home from CO with our two pups. This place is absolutely WONDERFUL. It’s so clean, the staff is wonderful and you don’t feel like you’re staying at a hotel. You feel at HOME.
We stayed at multiple hotels and this one BY FAR was the best. And the only one I will be leaving a review on.

We really liked this lodge. No bugs inside. The rooms were clean and new. Hot tub was nice after hiking. Close to everything in town and my family's cabin. Only thing we didn't like was not being able to use netflix or apps on the TV, which wasn't a huge downside since grand lake takes you outdoors.

Clean, friendly, no-frills, parking included, less than a minute walk to the wonderful new-show-every-day repertory theatre and just steps to all the shops on the main road (Grand). Thankfully, not too close to the louder hotels in town where the parties go into the wee hours and the bands can be heard in the streets. No view of the Lake but it's a very reasonable walk away. LET THE LODGE KNOW IF STEPS ARE HARD FOR YOU IN ADVANCE. Half the rooms are on level 2 and they require you to walk the stairs with your bags. No elevator. Cleaning was on demand and as a solo traveler, I didn't request any during my week stay. I did request extra towels and an extra blanket which I received immediately. If you seek a comfortable, clean crash pad, this is a fine choice. If you are looking for a fancy hotel experience, this isn't for you.

Didn’t enjoy the service as much because they didn’t have clear lines of communication due to a wedding at the lodge. Phone went to voicemail with no call back; had to email. Had to wait for front desk by knocking on door behind it for someone to help. Otherwise, it’s a fairly decent hotel room with a kitchenette. Kinda no thrills but you pay for what you get.

It was fine. My expectation was set high based on the property photos and listing. In the end, it was a very basic roadside motel. The rooms were clean enough, but my son had allergy issues in the 'pet friendly' room which speaks to higher dander. We wouldn't stay again at that rate, but it was fine for a stop over as it is very convenient to walking around town.

Smelled a bit strange inside when we got there. Not sure if it was the cleaners they use but did not smell good. Tub was a bit dirty. It was a cozy place to stay. Not the greatest but not terrible

It is an attractive property right in the middle of the main street, surrounded by restaurants, etc. The room was expensive for what it is, over $250 a night, but we needed a place and this was about all that was left. I mention the price because it essentially has no internet access, and for much less than $250 a night one expects internet access.

Had a comfortable and relaxing stay in Grand Lake. We really enjoyed having a room with a fireplace because the weather outside was cold. Location of hotel is very close to the center of town. We walked every where. When we checked in, the front desk person was very friendly and showed us to our room.

The dressers and other furniture looked like it had been upgraded in the past few years and looked nice, the shower curtains were clean and new-looking. We stayed at the Spirit Lake Lodge due to making a last minute decision to visit Grand Lake for the July 4th weekend. We had never stayed before, and had no idea how nice the room would be. We stayed in unit 21, which was a one-bedroom mini-suite with a kitchenette and a queen in the bedroom and futon in the front room. We were pleasantly surprised at how nicely done the rooms were. The furniture and cabinetry were all in a \"lodge look\" pine. the kitchenette came with a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, dishes and cookware. There was a tv in the front room and in the bedroom. The bath was small but very clean, as was the rest of the accomodation. The property is in the heart of the downtown area, a block from the park, and two blocks from the public docks and beach area.

Overall, we were extremely pleased with our choice to stay here, and would do it again in the future.

The hotel itself was ok..cost $179 a night which is outrageous for a place like that! Nothing special, no breakfast or pools or hot tubs, still had to drive to the lake and the beds/sheets were like a motel 6. I have paid half that amount and had breakfast, pools, gyms, down comforters, with water/Mountain View’s. Definitely won’t pay that amount to stay there again but staff was nice and room was very very basic.

No room due to broken pipe.

Our room was not available due to a pipe leak. They rebooked us at a hotel that was in no way equivalent. No breakfast no amenities. Very apologetic. They tried to call and left VM but please text when people are traveling. Accident s happen how you react and make things right for your customers defines your service. At least we had a room.
