Please read before booking! I'm not a picky person and it takes a lot for me to give something 1 star but I want people to know!

First, the pictures and distances that are advertised are fake. Out of all the pictures on here, I only saw the balcony one with the white chairs. The room looked totally different than the room I booked. The distance to the airport is about 1.5 hours NOT 40 minutes and the distance to the hospital (for any medical tourists) is 40 minutes (sometimes more).

Secondly the bathroom is TINY. So small that you cannot close the door without hitting yourself. I'd really only recommend considering booking if you are fine with keeping the door open while you use it. The shower is also super small. I kept hitting my arms on the wall while washing my hair. We ended up having to book a new hotel (without a refund for checking out early) because we did come for a surgery and it was going to be really difficult to deal with that.

Thirdly, one of the managers was very rude. He gave off misogynistic vibes and every interaction with him left a sour taste in my mouth. When I check out early he was making me feel stupid and while I was being polite he was laughing and seemed smug that I would not get a refund.

The hotel is situated in a very good location for the mayor tourists attractions. Near the tram station. A lot of restaurants around.
The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel was very clean and a goid variety of breakfasts.
The room was small, no wardrobe or even a drawer to organise our belonging. The 4 nights that we stay there the clothes were everywhere and in the luggage.

The room window view was the back of the hotel where all the air conditioning motor were and the noise in the evening didn't allowed us to open the window. We feel like we were in a sotano.

Absolutely the best place to stay in Istanbul!! My Dad and I spent 5 nights here. The best view of the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus you could ask for on the roof top. Wonderful breakfast served every morning with smiles. Friendly staff greeted us every time we came and went, helped to arrange everything we needed from tours to Hamam visits. Great price, safe, comfortable, clean and close to everything you want to see in this fantastic city!! I will be coming back next time I am in Istanbul!

The best boutique hotel in Istanbul

What can I say.... Other than oh my God. I hope every single hotel we stay at would have such a wonderful and helpful staff.

The location of Angel's House is just fantastic. Surrounded by many fantastic and reasonably priced restourants. Within a walking distance of Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. And if you are looking for a great view of Blue Mosque, the hotel has a fantastic view from their terrace.

The guys working front desk where just extraordinary. Ready to help and give advice. Anything from calling you a cab to the airport all the way to getting a tour plan ready for us. The hotel also provide a PCR test with the same day result (if done before 12pm) and nurse comes to the hotel in the morning so you don't have to go anywhere. Really convenient.

The room was immaculate, spacious, with massive and super comfortable bed. Bathroom equally clean and spacious with all bath essentials and (actually) fresh towels available. Also in the room, there is a fridge minibar with some snacks and kettle with a selection of tea and coffee.

The breakfast served at Angel's House was in par with the quality of the rooms. Fresh, with a great choice of different dishes, salads, fruit, cereal and drinks.

If you are looking to stay in Istanbul, this is hands down the best place.

Cute little hotel close to many sites and tourist spots. Ww arrived at 11:00 am and were quickly checked in and ushered into our waiting room. Breakfast was good and the view from the terrace was nice. One complaint, the beds were uncomfortable. Our \"king\" bed was two smaller beds pushed together and the matress did not support my back.

My wife and I were visiting Istanbul and stayed for 3 nights. The hotel staff is helpful and the hotel itself is beautiful. A bit old construction but it does not affect your comfort at all. Very comfortable, clean and affordable place if you are visiting Sultanahmet. The breakfast is good but could be improved.
We checked out at 11:30 am and left our luggage with the staff as our hired taxi to the airport was booked for 5:30 pm. They took care of the luggage until we went to the Grand Bazaar for shopping.

The property was in a bad location where it was ghetto guys staring at girls up and down whistling and a bunch of stray dogs barking and running around the property, The manager owner was extremely rude after we told him we smelled mold in the room and it was obvious in the corners of the rest room and the walls and when we told them that we didn’t want to stay there because we are allergic to the smell and it’s unsanitary they said well you can leave and you’re not getting your money back, I would not recommend this property to anyone be aware they are a total fraud

Our third time in Istanbul but first time at Angels Home. Hotel was comfy quaint and quirky. Roof top breakfast views amazing and an excellent selection of food to chose from for breakfast Our room however was a little cramped but did have an outside area for my partner to smoke. We arranged for someone else to stay for one night and her room was lovely and spacious with a balcony so we were a little disappointed with the size of ours ... didn't spoil our stay though. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit to this wonderful city as its situation is perfect ...far enough away from hustle and bustle but only minutes walk to be part of it... will just put in a special request for a larger room next time. Fully recommend to anyone.

It was really a very very nice to stay here. All the historical places like Blue Mosque Topkapi Palace are within walking distance. Daily roon cleaning. Tea and snacks are all time free for you and for your guests. Staff and the owner himself very good. Look like a family. My stay was for five nights and i really enjoyed s lot. Very tasty and healthy breakfast. I can never forget the lady with smiling face serving breakfast. Mr. Salami, Mr. Barish and all other staff were very helping and nice. I will recommend all of you guys if you want to stay in Istanbul, The Angels Home will be the best choice for you.

Angel's Home Hotel is in a great location in the Old Town area of Istanbul, behind the Blue Mosque and a short walk to all the main tourist attractions in Sultanahmet. The hotel is very cute and the room well appointed, but my room was a little run down will peeling wallpaper. No information was given about the hotel facilities on check in and the roof terrace was very disappointing, not being open for use in the evening. There was also no lift to my part of the hotel.

Breakfast was ok - room and bathroom facilities were good.
But overall comment would be try somewhere else - there are many boutique hotels in the same street that look very nice - we will try one of them on our next visit.

The hotel is very good in every thing except the breakfast. When you go to Istanbul you expect to enjoy its outstanding food. Turkish tea and bread are the signature from Turkey. I expect to have different type of cheese and bread daily, but they just provide two kind of cheese and regular toast. I stayed for 9 days and did not sea turkish bread exept two days. Other than that, the hotel is very good and comfy.

The hotel was in a perfect location on a quiet street on the doorstep of the main tourist attractions of Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia, etc. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and had lots of amenities. Value for money was outstanding. I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again if I'm ever back in Istanbul.

We were incredibly pleased with the value of this hotel-- our room was clean and comfortable, and larger than we anticipated. We did have stairs to climb, but that wasn't a problem for us.
I was initially nervous about visiting Istanbul, but they made it feel more at ease upon arrival.
The location was wonderful-- close enough to all of the Old Town sights, if you're wanting to walk (and a Tram stop fairly close, if you don't'). We were able to navigate public transit from the airport, with one transfer, and we paid a bit extra to grab a return transfer directly from the hotel (which they happily set up).
There was always someone at the front, sometimes two people, which helped us to feel safer.
The one drawback is that they ask you to not bring food or drink into the hotel, but to use their restaurant/mini bar instead. They provided one free bottle of water per day. Prices for the restaurant/mini bar/room service were reasonable, so we were fine with that plus eating our market meals at the Blue Mosque park and other restaurants were nearby.
We will stay again next time we come to Istanbul!

the hotel surrounding is quite good and hotel itself ok except looking old. breakfast was goo and the lady was too good and friendly. However, there were renovations at the hotel and noise all the time. There were water problems we couldn't shower one of the days. our room was never cleaned for the 4 days we stayed there and we fund it a bit dusty with the beds not comfortable at all. we could also hear everything from the next room and i am sure they could hear us too which makes it uncomfortable for a young couple on holiday

Angel's home is a tidy, very reasonably priced hotel in a wonderful area for tourists. We stayed in the smaller section above the reception, where the rooms are compact and clean, with newly renovated bathrooms and comfortable beds. The rooftop terrace breakfast is very nice, with fresh options and friendly staff. The climb up four stories is worth it - the views from the terrace and the smaller outdoor rooftop are stunning! The hotel is on a little cobbled street in easy walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar, with dozens of excellent restaurants and great shopping nearby. Highly recommended for the value, comfort and convenience.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in early Dec 2015.

The staff was very nice and spoke good English. I was on the 4th floor, right under the breakfast room, and the porter carried my bags which was very nice.

The Angel Suite room was very large with a big balcony with a view of the street below. The bed was ok. The furniture was comfortable (a little shabby, but fine for the price). The bathroom was a nice size but not very well laid out. There was plenty of hot water and decent water pressure. The room came with a kettle, tea, and a bottled water per day. The photos on the hotel's website are accurate.

The hotel is ideally located near shops, restaurants, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basica Cistern and the tram. It was an easy walk to the Grand Bazaar (even in cold weather) but might be a bit far on foot if you're carrying many packages.

The upper rooftop terrace has a stunning view of the Blue Mosque. Breakfast is nice with a good selection of breads, cereals, jams/spreads, veggies, cheese and eggs. (The scrambled eggs were not very good -- maybe powdered mix? -- but there were fresh fried eggs my second day, and boiled eggs both days.)

Cab to IST was 60 TL ($20 USD) and took 30 minutes at 10:00 AM.

I will consider staying at this hotel again but may also look at the hotels across the street as some of their rooms have views of the water.

All in all I found this hotel room to be a good value for $80 US per night and enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is in a nice little road so close to the main tourist area in the Golden Horn. Good price
However, the reception staff proved to be more security guards than reception. We were chased up the stairs and confronted about having a third guest in the room. For the record we had already explained at reception that it was only two of us and that a local friend was going to drop his bag in the room while we went out the first night for dinner. As we were going to stay for 5 nights it was an easy. In any case, if they had to check again, there are less confrontational approach that can be used. We clarified apologetically on the stairs, but all of us felt mortified for the treatment.
In addition, we came back early and noticed that the room had not been done. The hotel has got a set of rules about how to get the room clean (leave keys to reception between 11 and 14 or not room) - strict but fair we though. As it was 3pm an the room was not done we thought we'd better mention it to the desk. Our polite request was met by a long list of things we had done wrong and charges to pay. I mentioned that having dropped the key at 10 and returned at 4 we were pretty entitled to ask for our room to be cleaned. The arrogant treatment continued by the reception desk. By the way, the cleaners are pretty hectic one was cleaning the room at 8,30 am while we were having breakfast (cleaning time). Once the cleaner opened the door while I was sleeping (no knocking). It all seems random.

Nice Small Hotel in the heart of Istanbul

We stayed at the Angel's Home for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. While the room were on the smaller side, they served our needs. We fully expected them to be smaller in light of the room rate. However, size was off set by a number of While the rooms were on the small side, there were a number of advantages in selecting this hotel. First was the cleanliness of the units and that was followed by the friendliness of the staff. The breakfasts were wonderful with a nice assortment of Turkish offerings from eggplant, yogurts with spices. If you wanted them there were eggs an various meats available. Bearing in mind that you essentially sleep in your room, the proximity to the historic heart of Istanbul mad it a wonderful place to stay as were a five minute walk through an exciting array of shops and restaurants from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Would we stay there again/ Absolutely!

Lovely Boutique hotel.

Hotel is extremely clean, comfortable and in a quiet location. Terrific view of The Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus from roof top where breakfast is served. Hotel staff are all friendly and helpful. Location is excellent as it is in walking distance to all the tourist attractions. Lots of restaurants and cafés just around the corner.

Nothing special about the place. Quite clean place, a few spots missed here and there but in overall clean. Walls a bit thin, some guest talking really loud late night on a saturday night, nothing to do with the hotel but with the guest being aware of their surroundings and being respectful. The room was light airy and spacious. Location fab! Beautiful street walking distance of all the main sights. The staff very friendly and helpful. The only negative point in this hotel is the breakfast, if you were not having breakfast before 8am, fried eggs will be gone and they wouldn't make any more for you but just point you to the driest scramble eggs I've ever seen in my life, also the bread run out and nobody replaced it. Only watermelon for fruit... My impression the kitchen ladies wanted to go home early as they were packing the kitchen when all the guest were there.

Perfect!

We stayed in Istanbul for 3 nights and this hotel couldn't have been a better stay for us. My friend stayed at the same hotel last year and recommended it to us. The hotel is situated in the wonderful location: very close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque (10-15 min walking), lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and it is located on a very small and intimate street.

The hotel is very beautiful inside, our rooms were great and very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable (best sleep all of us got in a very long time, plus we didn't hear praying ceremonies in the morning). Breakfast in the morning had a lot of great variety and was very yummy. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Thank you so much for making our stay a fantastic one!

Lovely hotel in excellent location

Loved it right from the start with the warm welcome and lovingly setup room (towels tied in ribbons and flowers). Then the view to the Blue Mosque from one terrace and the sea view and Asia from the breakfast terrace. Easy walk to all the Sultanahmet attractions. Only negatives were the lack of a lift so need to be fit and able. Also toilet paper had to go in bin, but I believe that is usual in the old town.

Very nice location near Blue Mosque

I was very surprised when the front desk Manager told me that the newer part of the hotel was not reserved for Expedia Guests. Half of the room 108 (in the older part) is 5 foot high or less. I am 6 foot tall. The room has a very small window with a view on a wall. The bathroom is very modern and clean. Breakfast on top of the roof of the hotel is quite good with a nice view on the Marmara Sea and Blue Mosque. The cook (female) who prepares this breakfast (buffet type) is very kind. She always has a nice smile when explaining what the dishes are.

Great Hotel !!!

I stayed for seven days with my daughter in Angel's Home Hotel. Personnel is very friendly and helpful, they gave us maps and informed us about all the tourist spots in Istanbul, and how to take public transportation. Rooms are very clean, they changed the towels and sheets every day. Breakfast is good and complete, you can expect breads, jams, coffee, milk, corn flakes, boiled eggs, scramble eggs and scramble eggs with tomatoes, cheese, hams, smashed potatoes, and a wide variety of Turkish meals like paprika filled with cheese, and sometimes couscous. Breakfast is at the terrace, therefore you have to take 4 floors to the top, but the view and the pleasant atmosphere make it worth it. It is very well located yet private. You can find tons of restaurants and shops nearby, pin bank machines, and is located in the gorgeous neighborhood of Sultanamet, very closed the Blue Mosque, Haga Sofía, the Basilica Cistern and is not far away from The Gran Bazaar. Our stay there was truly amazing !! We will always treasure this trip as one of our best trips !! Istanbul will always be in our hearts. Hotel staff is incredible !

Nice stay

Had a nice stay. We had stayed here many years ago and loved it. They have done major renovations since, and while the hotel is in very good condition and the rooms are lovely, the place has lost the quirky charm it once had. Plus, unfortunately, the staff are not as friendly. I really appreciated, however, the drinks and snacks available, as well as the great breakfast. The terrace is nice too. Be careful of the prices for mini-bar options. We were way overcharged for a bottle of wine. We will first look for other hotels in the same area next time, but if they don't look appealing, we will go back to Angels Home.

Verticle with many steep stairs, unlit sometimes.

I checked out a day early, but they said nothing, not asking why nor even mentioning it was a day early. I hadn't realized it was a day early. Could I get a refund? One plus item: they allowed me to check in early. I had fallen asleep in their lobby and was sick. However, the room I got was under the roof and had only two places I (5'2\") could stand up. They changed my room upon my request, and it was okay.

Comfortable hotel with friendly atmosphere

We stayed her for four nights. There are some nice features, such as free tea, coffee and little cakes all day. The breakfast was very good, with a wide choice of healthy Turkish foor and is taken on a roof terrace, with fantastic views over the city and the sea. My partner tripped over in the street and injured her ankle, and the hotel was very good about letting us switch rooms (there is no lift) and providing some help about how to access medical treatment.

Great location and staff!

Angel's Hotel is a quaint hotel in a great location in Sultanahmet. The hotel staff were fantastic - always helpful with questions and suggestions for things to do. The rooftop terrace where breakfast is served has a superb view of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, and in the afternoons and evenings, they have bar service on the terrace. There are only two drawbacks to this hotel: the bathroom had an unpleasant smell, and the bedside lights could not be turned on/off individually.

Perfect location. Great value for money.

Couldnt be more convenient. Within walking distance to everything. Rooms were clean and pleasant and breakfast on the roof terrace were great. Complimentary coffee / tea and cake available all day. Beds were extremely comfortable. Early morning wake up call from mosque didnt bother us. Nice area. Would recommend.

This is a really nice hotel. Location is perfect. Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, grand bazar... all within 5-10 minutes walking distance!
Breakfast buffet is very good too. The cafeteria is on top level, there you have a wonderful sea view. In summer you can enjoy your breakfast outside in the balcony -- along with the sea view.
Definitely worth to stay here.
