Stated it had air conditioning, but it could not be controlled in the room! Was very hot and could not keep the window open due to the street noise. Also the internet was out for Android phones for 2 days! It worked the morning I left, but for 2 nights nothing!!! Unacceptable!!

The room was clean. Our AC was broke in our room. Not blowing at all so it was very hot. They were full so had no other rooms to move us to but the guy did bring us a fan that helped some. The bed was way too firm for me and hurt my back but other than that It was a nice hotel and a good stay.

We had a very poor experience.
We were due to stop one night on our homeward bound trip after 2.5 weeks during in Europe
We broke down 160 miles away and had to be put up in a hotel for two nights very traumatic
When we contacted the hotel direct explaining they wouldn’t even talk to us we had to contact Expedia who tried their best to enable us to cancel with no charge but IHG hotel wouldn’t show any compassion or support and removed the full cost from my account within 2 hours of our coms with Expedia. To put a complete insult they forwarded an email asking how was our stay the next day. A full complaint will be sent to IHG who we have used many times but never again. We arrived home 2 days later.

Good place to stay.

Very good for an overnight stay. Air conditioning almost a \"must have\" when the temp.was 32© - very good.. Lifts up to rooms, which saves a bit of effort. Quiet rooms. Modern & tasteful room and showerroom. Very clean. Good choice for breakfast and a nice place to sit. Not sure how far it was to find a restaurant. Easy to find with sat-nav.

This hotel does eveything right.

This hotel does eveything right. It is warm all the time. Even though the room for breakfast is very big it is always warm which is important when you have kids The room is nice. The breakfast is very good. The staff are great. The bar prices for alcohol etc are very reasonable. Really impressed

A quick pit stop

We arrived late evening after a hard drive and were on the road again by 7.30a.m. We had a quick drink and went to bed. There was no food except for a snack machine when we arrived, but the breakfast was first rate. The staff were pleasant and the room was clean and well appointed. The location is only a few minutes from the motorway.

A lucky find! Everything about our stay was top notch. I do not know the age of the facility, but it was gleaming. The bathrooms sparkled. Check in was easy. Breakfast was super. Great price. I wish we had found a few more hotels of this quality on our recent travels. Thanks Holiday Inn Express Neunkirchen.

Excellent, good quality hotel with friendly staff

Easy to find off the motorway, was better than we expected, extremely friendly staff with comfortable bed and good breakfast. Nice that there was a garden to sit in too with great car park and hotel was decorated well. We will be staying again!, as we travel between England and Slovenia.

great overnight stop for drivers to/from the UK.

the beds are a little soft.
the check in was very quick.
the car park didn't have enough spaces, but there was an overflow car park, also free.
breakfast was good, but no cooked items.
staff were polite and efficient....this is Germany.
the area is functional, but the region is industrial, so don't expect much.
easy to find, and 3 minutes from the motorway.
watch out for the speed camera on the way down the hill near the hotel, just inside the 50 km/h zone!

Overall it was a great hotel, the lady that helped us was extremely nice and the room was really clean and comfortable. I do recommend not doing a full size bed for two people, it was a bit small but that's not the hotels fault and I would stay here again!

Good night’s sleep

Room was pleasant, clean and comfortable... modern and made great use of available space as the room was on the smaller side. The bed was amazing and I immediately fell asleep. Parking and check in were quick and easy. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Clean and modern \"business\" hotel - You know the new-build (as of 2017) \"cookie cutter\" style Holiday Inn Express that you find all over the world.
Great friendly and polite English-speaking staff, comfortable rooms, decent cold buffet breakfast - there is a toaster but no \"sliced\" bread that would fit when I was there. Good machine coffee, and boiled eggs.
Located in a commercial/light industrial area close to Neunkirchen centre.
A good reasonable value stay, perhaps not for a family vacation, but perfect for a business traveller, or (as in my case) a road trip stop-over.

Oops! the hotel wasn't where we thought.

We accidentally booked Holiday Inn Express Neunkirchen thinking it was between Frankfurt and Berlin, so we did't go there. Also we had trouble phoning hotels.com to cancel. We did reach Holiday Inn to let them know when a kind gas station owner let us call from his place, but they refused to let Hotels.com know. We had just arrived that day and had no SIM card for our phone yet. We ended up staying in the the Alter Druckerei Holtel in Gotha which was in the list of Hotels.com list, so my ratings are for that hotel which gave excellent service to some emotionally weary travellers (found out 3hours after leaving the airport and having driven in the opposite direction that we had booked the incorrect hotel).

The hotel was very nice. The room had plenty of space to sleep 4 in a room which is hard to find in Germany. Customer service at check in could use some improvement. The girl was on the phone and did not acknowledge me for 10 minutes. Overal it was a good experience for a decent price.

First finding this hotel was a bit of a challenge: I blame myself I need to update my GPS. Then the Parking was less then desirable: only a small parking lot in front of the hotel or a dirt lot to the side. The reception area was nice and the people were friendly. The room was small but clean and suited our needs. The breakfast was good for a continental. Check out left something to be desired: I pre-paid for the room and just wanted to drop off the key, however I was told to wait in the line, four people that actually had to pay a three people behind the counter but only one actually checking people out.

Stayed in double room with my two boys, (teens), as a stopover coming back from a great holiday in Austria. Great room and shower, sofa bed a bit on the hard side but nothing too serious for one night. Everything else really good, would recommend.very clean, modern, new.

Alles in allem Perfekt bis auf das man den Parkplatz bezahlen muss finde ich nicht ok. Am Abend geht dann vom Personal jemand über den Parkplatz und verteilt Zettel mit einer Warnung für die die nicht bezahlt haben.
Wenn ein Hotel auf Parkplatzgebühren angewiesen ist stimmt im Gesamtpaket etwas nicht, da hat die Führung Schulungsbedarf.

Zentral gelegen, das Einkaufszentrum auf der anderen Straßenseite. Reichlich Parkplätze gegen Aufpreis vorhanden (Tipp: Mitglieder im kostenlosen Treueprogramm zahlen für einen Parkplatz 7€, Nicht-Mitglieder 10€ pro Nacht).
Personal freundlich, Frühstück reichhaltig. Die Zimmer waren auch in Ordnung.
Einziger nennenswerter Nachteil: Die Lautstärke bei gekipptem Fenster. Ganz öffnen ließ es sich leider nicht, aber auch gekippt war es laut. Auf einer Seite eine Hauptstraße, auf der anderen ein \"Tal\" mit Bahnverkehr.

Zimmer sah geputzt aus, bis ich den Zahnputzbecher umgedreht habe. Der war voll mit Zahnpastaresten von den Vorgängern. Für mich war das echt ecklig. Möchte nicht wissen, wie der Rest geputzt wurde. Pas de climatisation avec un temps caniculaire... on nous a proposé d'annuler la nuit mais apres avoir fait 150 km on ne pouvait rien faire que de rester... pas d autres réservations possibles dans le secteur. On a demande un ventilateur qui nous a été fourni mais pas tres grand malgre tout on aurais souhaiter etre prevenu en amont de la panne de la climatisation... je suis vraiment déçue d'autant que la chaleur de la nuit et le bruit du ventilateur ne m'ont pas permie de fermer l'oeil, ne serait ce qu'une heure. Vraiment regrettable.

Wir waren jetzt das 2. mal da und es war wieder hervorragend. Die Zimmer sind sauber und bequem. Das Frühstück ist lecker und es wird permanent ausgefüllt. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Bar hat lange geöffnet und man kann dort gemütlich einen Absacker zu sich nehmen.

Mein Stammhotel in Neunkirchen - sehr empfehlenswert. Diesmal mit Überraschung: nachts um 02:30 wurden alle Gäste von der Feuerwehr mit Booten evakuiert, da das Hotel von Hochwasser umspült war. Hierbei war das Hotelpersonal sehr hilfreich - die Feuerwehrleute leider nicht so sehr.

Wird langsam zu einer Monteur Unterkunft...

Das Frühstück war sehr dürftig und schlecht. Noch halb gefrorenes Brot. Die Brötchen waren schlechter als bei einem Billiganbieter. Die Eier waren teilweise schon grün. Die Reinigung der Zimmer nur noch auf Zuruf. Das hat nichts mehr mit Resorsenersparnis zu tun, dass ist einfach Hygiene. Das alles bei über 100€ die Nacht. Nicht gut!

Gutes Zimmer, aber Frühstück könnte besser sein.

Das Zimmer war sauber und gut Eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war sehr dürftig. Brötchen schlecht, der Aufschnitt und Käse schlechte Qualität. Die Eier steinhart gekocht. Am Freitag festgestellt das diese wohl schon ein paar Tage im Wärmer lagen, diese waren schon dunkel Grün.
Da sollte man vielleicht Mal was dran tun, auch die Ketten sollten Mal etwas Kundenorientiert arbeiten und nicht mit 3 Cent Brötchen den Umsatz maximieren. Die Preisleitung passt da nicht.
