The breakfast area was chaotic and the staff could not keep up with replenishment of breads, spreads, and cold cuts. Lines were too long at the espresso machines. I suggest preparing coffee carafes to be served at the table as an option. I could imagine busy breakfast time volumes are not a surprise so it was odd that the hotel seemed unprepared. Otherwise, the experience was perfect: This hotel is clean and conveniently located.

Nice hotel but bad experience

Spending two nights for business in Saarbrucken. The Hotel was nice and the personnel at the checkin was very nice and kind. Breakfast was good. The position of the hotel was nice as it is close to the central station and not so far from the city center.

The problem: the sink in the bathroom was stuck and the water was not flowing. I immediately ask for a technical intervention but at the reception they told me that the technician is not working during the afternon (my checkin was at 3pm) and the day after I would have the sink fixed. The next day, there was no intervention and I left the hotel with the sink stuck. First, the hotel should have offered me another room and, even worse, they did not fix the problem.

Wir haben ursprünglich ein kleines Stadthotel in einer netten Umgebung gebucht. Diese Reservierung wurde vom Hotel storniert.
Das Ersatzhotel war zu weit weg von der netten Altstadt.

A big plus, air conditioning what works!
The breakfast is not what I expected.

Fruit Salad looks terrible like out of a tumble dryer. All the food including yogurt is low quality. A bummer since the rest of the hotel is good.

Very confusing parking in terms getting the hotel tariff. The elevator outside is a total mess. It stinks and it is filthy, over 2 days it always had something else in there i needed to avoid to step in.

I did feel unsafe overall outside and up the road. Lots of noise at night as both nights drunk people walking, screaming and singing at night several times.

This was an absolutely comfortble, convenient, secure and wonderful hotel stay. Officially my \"Go-To\" Hotel when i visot Saarbrucken. 5 minute walk frim the main train station, stores, restauranst, amd shopping mall. Staff extremely courteous, pleasant and professional. Prices more than reasonable.

Immer wieder

Zimmer war wie immer sehr gut. Leider wird erst am nach dem 4 Tag automatisch sauber gemacht. Darauf hätte man beim Einchecken hinweisen können. Da ich Beruflich sehr eingespannt war,
habe es leider erst später gesehen. War mal anders geregelt.

disappointed that they do not hv kettles, coffee machines run their rooms.
Disappointed that they asked that I pay extra to stay 2 hrs longer in room, especially after staying more than 15 nights in the hotel over the last 3 months.
No lunch or dinner service and no effect to make the 'small bar area' feel a little cosy so you feel relaxed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at IntercityHotel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and my room was impeccably clean and attractive (the small refrigerator was especially welcome). In lieu of daily room cleaning they offered vouchers for drinks at the bar downstairs, which I appreciated. The location is walkable from the train station and to the major tourist sights, and the area is safe for walking even late at night. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks for the warm welcome!

This is a very nice, friendly hotel very close to excellent public transport and practically in the city centre. I really cannot imagine a better place, better value for money if you have business to do in Saarbruecken and surrounding areas. 4 hours by train to London, 2 hours to Paris or Frankfurt, short trip to Luxembourg.

Hotel war i. O. Parkmöglichkeit im benachbarten Parkhaus für 25€ pro Nacht. Das ist unverschämt. Dafür gab es viele freie Plätze, kein Wunder!!
Beim Frühstück ist noch jede Menge Luft nach oben.

Typisches Intercity Hotel im neuen, modernen Layout. Sauber, großes und komfortables Zimmer, schönes Bad. Parken vor der Tür bei Anreise nach 17h kein Problem. Corona-Regeln werden strikt eingehalten, habe mich 100% sicher gefühlt. Einziges Manko: Das Frühstück. Corona-Bedingt am Buffet nur Abgepacktes (Wurst/Käse in Folie), soweit gut, Preis ermäßigt auf 9€, auch okay. Abgepackte Aufback-Brötchen nahezu ungenießbar, da nur angebacken - komplett weiß. Auf Reklamation zweites bekommen, das genauso aussah. Frühstück ist das Geld nicht wert. Sonst alles super.

Das Hotel hat kein Restaurant, obwohl es. im Internet aufgeführt ist. Die Rezeption begründete das angegebene Restaurant mit Frühstück. Internetzugang (auch aufgeführt im Internet) gibt es nur in Verbindung mit einer Mitgliedschaft. Wenig Aufmerksamkeit beim Service an der Bar. Nach der ersten Nacht wurde das Zimmer nicht gereinigt.

Es war alles sauber. Die Lage ist super, direkt gegenüber des Congress-Zentrums. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist modern, die Zimmer sind ganz gut isoliert.
Der Föhn im Badezimmer hat ausreichend Power!

An einem Tag wurde das Zimmer trotz Buchung des Reinigungs-Service zunächst nicht gemacht. Auf Nachfrage wurde dies jedoch sofort auch am Nachmittag noch nachgeholt.

Wir hätten gern noch ein paar Kleiderbügel gehabt. Auf Nachfrage sagte man uns, man würde welche aus dem Lager holen und aufs Zimmer bringen. Dies ist jedoch leider nie passiert. Auch am nächsten Tag gab es keine Kleiderbügel an der Rezeption.

Dennoch waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt zufrieden und würden wiederkommen.

The room and the hotel were really clean. And it is really quiet in the room, which is for me the most important. The only negative thing from my point of view about not to clean the room during the stay: this is for me only a way to spare money with the convenient excuse to protect the environment. All in all, I find this greenwashing quite annoying.

Der Name InterCity Hotel weckt natürlich Assoziationen zur Deutschen Bahn. Doch mit dem Negativ-Image der Bahn hat dieses Hotel gar nichts zu tun. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig und modern eingerichtet, alles ist sehr gut durchdacht, top sauber, nichts kaputt und erstaunlich ruhig.
Frühstücksbuffet mit guter Auswahl, Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.

Schönes Hotel in der Nähe des HBFs und nahe der Stadt. Parkmöglichkeiten direkt gegenüber oder nebenan. Frühstücksbuffet viel Auswahl. Preis Leistung okay.

Die Heizung über die Klima funktionierte am Zimmer 437 nicht, ebenso lief das Wasser in der Dusche nicht gut ab.

Eine Zimmerreinigung haben wir nicht benötigt allerdings werden dann die Mülleimer auch nicht geleert. Schade
