Stopover.

Plush hotel but loud noise from heavy engineering on the nearby railway kept us awake and the room was too hot with the window closed. Worth paying extra for a lakeside room. Good breakfast and free EV charging was a bonus although we had to wait for a space. Dog friendly and lots of nearby walks.

Lovely hotel, beautiful park behind it was lovely for walking in even though the weather was not good. Hotel is beautiful, the interior is stunning. Our room (we had a suite) was lovely. Food was good in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a casino next door and a water park next to that. Our only gripe was the pillows on the beds. You had one large and one small one each and they were way too soft.

Staff was mostly very helpful and friendly. Drinks at the bar were fantastic. The facility was clean, the rooms were very nice - a small little balcony and nice interior design. The rooms were mostly quiet, but i would recommend a lake side room if possible. The hotel sits right on a road so if you leave a window open there is definitely vehicle and train noise. Also sauna was only open 17-2300 which was a bit strange, especially in a cold weekend. Overall nice place.

I loved the fact that the hotel is right next to my favorite casino. It was the whole reason I booked it and I'm so happy I did. I needed a \"me\" night away from the kids and this was definitely the place to do it. The staff speaks English and it was super easy to check in and out. The restaurant was AMAZING and I'm so happy I treated myself to dinner and drinks there.

Always a treat!

Any time I am in Saarbrücken, I make it a point to stay at this hotel. Always great service, courteous from desk self, nice and clean comfortable rooms, ample parking, and walkable surroundings make for an enjoyable stay. Although the environment is quiet, The city centre is just five minutes away by car, and the French border is just as close down the road.

Always great being back

I always thoroughly enjoy spending a night at this location. The front desk staff is always very welcoming and rooms are always very clean. I did not really have anything to do there, but I just like to have at least one night to myself enjoying the surroundings. I usually do not include breakfast, but every now and then I do treat myself. My only thing is that the staff seems a bit aloof at times. This last time, I was seated for 25 minutes, had just had my last bite when I was asked whether I wanted anything to drink. In total, nine patrons, including myself. Can’t say this was overwhelming. Another server mindlessly took a man’s plate and cutlery away without asking his wife, sitting there, whether he was done. He was not. Those instances make the restaurant pale in comparison to the rest of the staff, who is great, including housekeeping, who always greet you with a smile. So, I would highly recommend the hotel, but I more often than not skip the culinary experience. Mind you, it’s a good breakfast, food-wise. But the little idiosyncrasies take the best out of the experience. During the holiday season, they have a nice set in both hotel and restaurant area.

Welcoming staff makes you feel they want you back

Returning over and over again. Not a central location, but the city centre is barely 5 minutes away from the city center of Saarbruecken, and just as close to the French border. There is also the French-German park right behind the hotel. Nice for long strolls when the days are good. As soon as you step into the hotel, you feel welcome. The staff is great, the rooms are well-appointed, the accommodations are clean. This was no exception. When it comes to hotel class, this one is it in the entire region, I believe. And free outside parking, which is always a perk, or parking garage. I am going to be back in the area around Christmas, and I may go back for a night away when visiting relatives there. But this is definitely a great place for family or couples. I suggest getting a room with a view of the park. Although it is a quiet area, during festivities, summer days or weekends, more likely to hear the noise from the people leaving the casino next door, besides the bright lights in the front of the hotel, which can be a bit disturbing at night. But the park view is well worth the extra bucks for various reasons. Just a nice experience. You feel welcome here.

Great place, good location

It is located about 3 km from the city center, if that’s where your interest lies, making transportation an issue. Otherwise it is a great place to stay the night—a well-maintained facility, comfortable beds, and a great buffet breakfast to boot. The principal staff are fluent in English, too—a definite plus for those whose skills in German or French are on the embarrassing side. Definitely a contender to consider.

2nd time I have stayed here; this time for some reason I had a very, very nice room with 4 poster bed and balcony. Some folks might think the view was subpar; but it was a VERY nice surprize and quite frankly helped me to relax. The previous night, and the following night, I stayed in other towns with other hotels and their beds were so bad I could barely move; this was NOT an issue with the Rezidenz.
The only issues were a mixup with the wifi (I had a single option, but the reception thought I had 2; this charge was removed) and the bathroom could use a plumber visit to check some not-yet-an-issue things. I mentioned this to the reception, I imagine it will be handled already.

When in the area, I stay this site of the border whenever possible. In my opinion, the absolute best hotel in the entire city, which is also the capital of the smallest state in Germany. Front desk staff is always very courteous and professional, and the rooms are worse the st in my opinion, the absolute best hotel in the entire city, which is also the capital of the smallest state in Germany. City center is less than 5 minutes by car. Front desk staff is always very courteous and professional, and the rooms are worth the stay. And at a decent price! Free parking across the street is available. Breakfast is very good, and the location also offers dining options. Alternatively, you could walk to the supermarket about 10 minutes away. The hotel is located right next to the casino, and adjacent to a park, known as the \"French/German garden\". Great for families! From here, you are less than 2 miles from the France. Liquidations a very pleasant, very clean, and well-appointed. Can you recommend a room with the Garden view, as the street lights can be a bit disturbing with a street front. As always, I really have problems with the shutters. They cannot close completely. However, the curtains block out the light in the morning. I will need to ask somebody to show me how to make them work. Was a pleasure to be here, and I will be back.

Classy with great customer service folks.

Nice stay at what is probably the most upscale place in the city. Located on the outskirts, which makes for quiet time away from the bustle of the city center, it offers nice garden views, sauna, fitness facilities (albeit very limited), and the convenience of the motorway barely a minute away with easy access to the center in under 3 minutes by car. Walking would take you 20+ minutes. French border is about 5 minutes by car, ab out 1/2 hour or so walking. Supermarket right across the border. A casino is located right next to the hotel if you are in the gaming mood. Room was nicely furnished and large, but bathroom was on the smaller side, especially the shower. Room was clean and comfortable. The only drawback is that it was really warm, when I was there and there is no A/C. So, had window open. I would recommend getting a room with the garden view as the outside noise may be bothersome in the other rooms. At night, you also benefit from the darker space vs. the lights off the street. They have shutters, but mine were stuck, and I could not close them (open and close sideways from the outside). Breakfast was good / decent. Service was excellent at all levels. WiFi access was excellent. They offer two parking options: limited underground car park (charge) and free lot (across the street).

First time in Saarbrucken and this hotel hit all the right spots ! Great location (quiet), great service and the food at the hotel was the best. Located on the outskirts of town next to a great park, it gave you the impression of being in the country while only a few minutes form downtown. Will definitely stay here the next time I am in this area.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars all around if it wasn't for the fact that they took none of my requests into account. Before booking, i called to ask the difference between a comfort and a superior room. They told me the superior rooms were bigger. I said I would like a king sized and they told me that I didnt have to book a superior room for that, and to book a comfort room and simply put a note saying i spoke to concierge and they told me to request a comfort room with a king sized bed.
I did this and also said I preferred a room with a bathtub if possible. Well, I didn't get a King sized nor did I get the tub. That kind of upset me as I would have preferred they give me a heads up to tell me they would completely ignore my requests.
Other than that, the hotel is very nice.. the park view is worth it because the trees are big and when you have the curtains open in the morning you feel like you're in a forest. The room was clean and very nicely decorated.
The breakfast was very good. There is literally everything you could want for a breakfast from croissants to eggs and bacon, several types of yogurt, porridge, different juices, teas, coffee, deli meats, and more. Very good price for the hotel overall.
We spent a night as a couple, in the area there is calypso - a thermal bath/waterpark type place, and the casino is next door. if you want something a bit more romantic, drive to the saarland thermes.. about 15 minutes away... though calypso is fine too!

We heard that this is the best hotel in Saarbrucken, and it probably is. However, it would have difficulty maintaining that reputation in a larger metropolis with more hotel competition. The public areas are stylish and the restaurant is very \"French\". However, the room we had was average, at best.... I'm sure that in a more summery time of the year the hotel environs would contribute markedly to improve the overall impression/appearance. But in mid-March everything looked quite bleak.

Nice Hotel, but uncomfortable bed.

This is the 5th time I've stayed at this hotel since 2007. It's always been essential to book a park view room to get a quiet room, but I've always had a good sleep in the comfortable beds and good food in the restaurant. However, it seems the beds are being replaced this year, and this time I had the hardest bed I've ever experienced in a German hotel and a very poor nights sleep. This is OK if you like a hard bed, but next time I visit Saarbruecken, I'll be choosing another hotel.

Never again. As it was, this was just a quick stay on our way to the Alsace, and because the best hotel in town was booked. This place is old and damp, next to a casino (thus some colorful clientele), in a sad part of town. Don't stay here.

Terrific Hotel - But stay Park side

The room we had was on the 1st floor, very large, very clean, comfortable, plus a nice terrace overlooking the park. I noticed rooms above the 1st floor did not have a terrace or balcony.
We had dinner in the hotel which was reasonably priced, the food was excellent, and the service very attentive.
The following morning we had breakfast, which can be described as tremendous, a very very satisfying start to the day, and once again 1st class service.

The hotel is situated just 5 minutes away from the autostrade, so we were on our way very quickly.

My experience is a really really good, hotel, but very disappointing to have to pay extra for a quiet room.

Attention mauvaise surprise : parking facturé par l’hôtel en supplement +15€ pas annoncé. Fenêtres sur route mal isolées (on entend tous les véhicules de la route passante) et porte intérieur claque à chaque fois qu’un client entre ou sort d’une chambre adjacente.

Hôtel vieillot mais agréable, Sauna+Hammam tres agreables, personnel disponible et parfois souriant. Petit dejeuner tres bon, beau, frais et copieux.

Matelas bien, mais pas au niveau hotelier classique.

Une plutôt bonne expérience, mais aucun intérêt a y revenir.

La restauration, autant le dîner que le petit déjeuner. Problèmes de personnel (tables non et mal débarrassées au petit déjeuner). Personnel vite dépassé et perdue. Le soir au dîner multitude de personnel à votre service sans logique ni organisation. Très très décevant (il y a deux ans bien meilleur service). Propositions de plat décevant par rapport à il y a deux ans. L’Angus, excellentissime il y a deux ans est remplacé par de l’Argentin, décevant en quantité et qualité, pour un prix au plat exorbitant (35€). Je suis prêt à payer ce prix mais avec de la qualité. Très très décevant. A ne pas conseiller.

In der ersten Nacht wurden wir durch unerwartete Gleisarbeiten an der Straßenseite um unseren Schlaf gebracht wurden jedoch durch ein kostenloses Upgrade in ein anderes Zimmer entschädigt und es wurde sich zig mal für diese Unannehmlichkeit entschuldigt. Super gastfreundlich sage ich da nur.
Zimmer sind sehr sauber die komplette Ausstattung und Badezimmer/ Dusche sind in die Jahre gekommen und renovierungsbedürftig.

Could be better

I stayed with this hotel a few times, in general my stays were good, however my last stay wasnt. Apperently the hotel was fully booked, but I made an online reservation.
So it took them some time to get me a room.
There was a big group of people have a company dinner, this was loud, and they gave me a table next to this group while other parts of the restaurant were empty

Ein wunderbar freundlicher Empfang

Der freundlichste Empfang, den ich je in einem Hotel erlebt habe. Das Bett war bequem, es gibt eine Tiefgarage und einen wunderschönen Park hinter dem Hotel, der sich perfekt für einen Abendspaziergang eignet.
