Nice hotel but very busy with a car club gathering which took over the whole hotel. Lots of building work going on around the hotel. But very obliging staff, lovely meal and a very comfortable bed.

I always come back because I know what I’m getting. it is a quiet location and a quiet hotel. However, I always prefer being away from elevators, and this time I was right opposite. Let means that there’s traffic and that people tend to sometimes forget that they can be overheard later at night. But otherwise, a good stay as usual.

Another good stay

As always, a very good stay in a very nice environment. A little bit noisy in the back as there was some work not too far, but nothing the hotel could’ve changed. And when the window was closed, you couldn’t hear much. Room is well insulated.

This is a fabulous hotel and an even better room. The bed is giant and very comfortable. The room is spacious and clean. Front staff are friendly and parking is free. There is nothing around the hotel, but the room was great and affordable.

Really good quality. Nice staff and really helpful. Great quality room not far from saarbrucken so great for quiet comfort.

Only thing was when we arrived they told us, despite not paying for breakfast, that it was included. I thought this was a nice little upgrade perk.

Next morning had breakfast, nothing mentioned about cost etc. On checkout they’d added the breakfast on!!

We explained we were told it was included. They eventually took it off the bill. We wouldn’t have minded not having the breakfast, but to be told it was included and then charged for it just made it a little awekward.

Else a great stay with genuinely free parking.

Little gem in rural area

We just looked for a place to stop over and discovered a little gem. The hotel is comfortable and modern. The sauna area is kept very clean. Just have to give notice for it to be switched on. The fitness room is small but well stocked. In the restaurant local specialities are available at a reasonable price for a hotel restaurant. Currently the view from the hotel terrace is a bit spoilt by a ruin of a hospital but it is in the process of being broken down. Very peaceful area with many forest paths

The facilities are great. Hotel is new and modern.

Rude staff spoilt otherwise pleasant stay.

The hotel was very nice, well appointed rooms, unfortunately the tea and coffee in the room hadn't been topped up. Most staff we spoke to had reasonably good English, however the Maitre D had no time for us, sat us at a used table (rather than use a table set up for breakfast) - I appreciate we were late arrivals but working in the hospitality industry for years I would never treat guests as we treated. We were not spoken to, or acknowledged at all after ordering. I hope they treat others better than us.

I had business in Saarbrucken and this is the second time I stay at this wonderful little hotel. The service of each of the employees whom we met was fantastic. Everybody seems like they want to help you. Didn't mind driving to Saarbrucken every day, it is the second time I stay at this hotel. The cost was very reasonable. Wonderful breakfast

The hotel was very nice. The room was a little bit small for 2 adults and 1 child (age15). The bed for a child was not very comfortable as the double bed.

Had requested a twin bedded room but was given a double bedded room. When I asked to change the room the receptionist just said none available. Did not try to accommodate our request and when she saw I was not happy she offered us a free beer as compensation !!!

Hotel was easy to find in the town.

The whole hotel was very good value for the price and the room was clean and spacious. We ate in the hotel restaurant as the general area did not look like a place to wonder around at night.

The food was very good as was the breakfast.

The small spa was welcome after a long drive and the gym was small but enough equipment to work out with.

Pleasant hotel in calm area with parking

I stayed there for 5 days. Room is confortable, pretty clean and calm. Services are fine. Free parking and back door that has access to hotel elevator. Staff at front desk is very kind and helpful. Rooms are cleaned regularly. Internet connection is slow and complicated to use. Parking in front and back is accessible and convenient. I would give this hotel 4-stars. There is a membership possibility for Leonardo hotel chain that can enable some price reductions. As I have seen, hotel is usually full which means that guests are satisfied with a service.

This was my third stay at the Leonardo in Volklingen. I travel for business, and very much appreciate the competent, attentive staff at the hotel, restaurant and bar.

Beautiful, well maintained rooms and common areas.

Delicious fish and dinner salad offerings at the restaurant.

Bitburger pils on tap.

Wireless and wired high speed internet in room.

Parking can be challenging during events/functions at the hotel.

Definitely my go-to choice overall when in the area.

Great Hotel, Great Service, Great Value!

We were not sure about the reservation, about how the hotel would be and that fact that it was not in Saarbrucken as we had thought. But once in the hotel we loved it. It does not pretend to be a 5 star hotel, but it is very comfortable, very clean, and the people who work there, from the front desk to the waiters, everyone was superb, and willing to help.

Comfy, but isolated if you're a train traveler.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, comfortable room. The view contained three items - (1) the surprisingly quiet car park for the hotel, (2), the virtually-empty medical complex next door, which resembled a crumbling asylum, and (3) twin towers of a nuclear power plant in the distance. Wifi was not free. Plenty of gardens nearby for pleasant walks. Did not eat there, but ventured down the hill to a great Italian restaurant (in Hotel Kurtz). Felt breakfast was too expensive at the hotel, too, so we stopped at a bakery on the walk into town. While there's a bus stop in front of the hotel (with buses every half hour or so), it was faster to walk downhill to the city center and train station. [Walking back UP the hill to the hotel was more challenging, particular on the initial trip with heavy backpacks, but the neighborhood is safe and quiet.] Saarbrucken is a few stops away by train, and a day trip to Trier is easy to do via train from Volklingen.

Very nice room in an extremely residential area, which means there is absolutely nothing to do right in the area; but you cannot beat the rapport quality-price. Perfect for a good night, if you are driving through, or need to be nearby Saarbrücken (less than 10 minutes away), Saarlouis (15 min) or France (20 min). Staff at front desk was nice. However, I wanted internet access, which could have been given away, had they asked me whether I wanted to enroll in their Leonardo program. Not a peep. Wi-fi was only €6 at the time, but it may have been a nice gesture... especially since you pay for an access code per device.However room was large for the price and bed was very comfy. Did not have breakfast, so cannot comment. But would recommend staying here.

Biking the Saar

We were on a multi-day bike ride and wanted a nice place to stay an evening. This was great...and the staff was wonderful, evening locking up the bikes for the evening for us. We weren't sure what to expect when we rode up (the building next door appears to be condemned) but were delighted with every part of our stay.

A very comfortable hotel with excellent bed. Quiet in a nice surrounding a great place for a walk before bed! We will surely be back. However, two silly things! the miniature sink in the bath room (small and too high for small people) Style over practicallity! No menu displayed anywhere.

This is an excellent hotel in a very convenient location for an overnight stop on our drive from Calais to Austria. The staff are extremely efficient and friendly, the rooms are large and comfortable and have tea and coffee making facilities, mini-bar and safe. The showers are spacious and powerful. The beds are large and comfortable. A bonus is free parking which is visible from the hotel lobby and so seems very secure. This was our second stay and would use both this hotel and the Leonardo chain again.

Nice, clean, new hotel. About 5 min taxi ride from Voeklingen train station. Helpful staff.
Breakfast buffet nice but at Euro 13 maybe a little pricey?? Dinner menu was limited on choices. Fee for WiFi but hotel computers are available free for guest use.

Der Hotel ist sehr gut. Leider waren Brandschutztür am Gang icgt völlig funktionsfähig und deswegen war es vom Gang kaut. Beim Frühstück haben wir im Vergleich zu anderen Leonardo Horels einiges vermisst. Die Tische waren winzig, deswegen war das Frühstücken etwas ungemütlich. Hervorzuheben sind Sauberkeit und Ruhe sowihl im Unfebung aks auch im Frühstückeaum. Wir hatten zwar Blick aud eine Baustelle, diese war nicht zu hören. Ich nehme am im Sommer konnte man draußen an Terrase frühstücken. Personal professional und freundlich.

Sehr laut durch Gespräche vor dem Eingang zur nachtschlafenden Zeit. Wollte dem Portier Bescheid geben bis ich gesehen habe, dass er einer der Gesprächsführer war. Anlieferung „Obst“ mit LKW um 4.30 Uhr. Frühstück und Unterkunft waren klasse.

Ich hatte ein sauberes und gutes Zimmer. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.
Was mich jedoch geärgert hat, war, dass ich bei der Online-Übernachtungsmeldung eine Uhrzeit auswählen konnte, die das Hotel nicht einhalten konnte und man mich auch nicht kontaktiert hat. Ich hatte einen Termin von 13 Uhr bis spät in die Nacht und habe daher 12 Uhr für den Check-In ausgewählt. Im Hotel erklärte man mir, dass der Check-In nicht möglich sei, da ich zu früh sei. Das hat mich unnötig viel Zeit gekostet und ist völlig unnötig.

Kurze Antwort des Mitabeiters: \"Nein\". Vielleicht möchte man hier nochmal die Kundenkommunikation schulen. Wohlgemerkt, es geht nicht um die Tatsache, dass die Bar geschlossen war!
