Room was ok, there was a smoke stain above the fireplace, water stains on the ceiling and a brown water stain in the hot tub. It was enjoyable though you can feed the deer and play some games with your lover dinner Saturday night was delicious but not so much Sunday night! We didn’t use the pool but looked nice. We had fun on the hiking trail even though it’s was a little muddy and wet as the snow had just melted. Trivia games at spooners were fun! All in all the place definitely has a distinctive feel and look, it was a nice little get away for us.

Upon arriving to the room, the heat was too high, so the room was too hot. The heart shaped heating pool had paint chips floating in the water and going into the pool when entering into the pool skin was itchy. When putting on the fire, the room got smoky and maintenance was called. Maintenance arrived 25 minutes later and all they did was take out the batteries from the smoke detector. Champagne glass tub needs improvement due to chips in tub. Round bed needs updating due to mattress being old and middle of mattress has a dip and cannot be comfortable as a couple. Couples need to sleep on the edge of the bed, not in the middle. Food was excellent. Indoor pool was closed and should not be at a resort

It’s a beautiful stay but needs improvement. We would come back if improvements are done especially if you’re spending over $2000 on a 4 day stay.

The employees should explain more details to people that are first time guests, the only thing that was explained to us was were our room as located and where we had to go to dinner, also tried to call the front desk numerous times to ask some questions no one answered, found out on our last night about the nightly and only received 1 ticket, for a 3 night stay, the arcade and bowling area at spooners needs maintenance some of the games don’t work properly and take your money, there also was the same garbage left laying around for 2 days,

The first room someone caught on fire never cleaned it. 2nd room was dirty but I send who cares it's to late. The. The pool was freezing in the room and the Jacuzzi spit out funk gunk slime I for my money back and left. They ruined my hole time. I wish I could make them pay me for my time spent going there and driving away.

There was throw up outside the office doors that was absolutely disgusting. Then we had to clean the jacuzzi because it was left dirty or halfway cleaned. And the whole resort is very out dated for the price. It took about an hour to get our food at Spooners when we were the only ppl sitting and the food wasn’t cooked all the way.

Room was very nice! We can have a beautiful night with the sauna, private pool and jacuzzi… the only thing is the cleaning… the pool was not clean you can see kind of mold on the sides. Besides that, it was a good place. They should put at least 2 water bottles as a courtesy and ice machines around. So bring water an ice if you you want to have a better experience

Staff was great. Property needs to be upgraded. Room was cold. I could see the light through the side of the door, put tape to stop the draft. Mold in the pool area of my room on the wall and the ceiling over the pool. Was my second visit. And I didn't have these issues the first time. Love the place overall just wish they make it better with the updates.

It was the setting. While I’m not into Hallmark movies, my wife very much is and we both referenced that throughout our stay. The staff was amazing, the fact that the deer in the area are so calm and feed is readily available at the gift shop helped my wife feel like a Disney princess. The events and amenities work well to have a full day without leaving the campus. A favorite of mine was talking to an old gentleman in the Blizzard lounge while playing checkers with my wife and just sharing life stories. It was cozy and we are definitely coming back in the future. It was worth the cost (we had a pool in our room!). We are already talking with my brother and his wife about dueling couples next time. Amazing stay. Definitely recommend!

Room was stark and outdated. Customer service was poor and room didn’t have heat for the first 6 hours. No where on there site does it state that you should brimg your own wood for the fireplace or get over charged for their wood. We called for extra blankets because if how cold it was in the room and they never came. We went to bed with all our clothes on because it was so cold, not my idea of romance.

There is potential in this beautiful place. My first experience was just not what I was thinking. First of all, I paid to have the room set up upon arrival and it wasn’t done. I called to ask and was told there wasn’t anyone to set it up and the team work a certain time. It was supposed to be a surprise for my husband when we arrive so now he is aware of it. This took the surprise aspect away. We have to leave the room the next day and give them time to set it up. Also when we arrive in the room there was no towels or washcloths. They say the were short staff. I would go back another time just to see if the experience would be better. The idea of the place is wonderful.

The food was horrible as it was my birthday and the room wasn’t as clean for $600. We opened the door at 8 am as there was about 2 inches of snow as we were heading to breakfast. We packed and went to check out. No plow as we were in the Cove which is a hill. Trying to leave was scary cause the hill to leave was steep and not salted not plowed. First and last trip up there

We were put in the wrong room. Expedia allowed us to believe that the room was the Champayne tower room we were getting once we arrived it was a lower grade room. After explaining the mix up, we were upgraded to the Champayne tower room after waiting for hours for the upgrade we were met with a room with no hot water, were unable to utilize the Champayne jacuzzi tub. We spent a full day without a room, then place in a room that wasn’t operable. We are commanding a refund back from Expedia. Cove Haven refunded the money we paid upon arrival. We had the worst anniversary in the history of our 21 years together with this experience. We should not only be refunded but given the opportunity of two free nights due our anniversary being ruined.

The check in was great. The room was okay. The lay out is great. Wish the tub wasnt dirty upon arrival. Saturday morning i noticed the bathroom above the shower had mold. Just terrible. They had alot of games and activities. The dining hall service was excellent. My serve Eric just had the greatest attitude.

The staff was great, My partner and I were disappointed in the room due to the following. We went to use the pool and it was cold and then we went to use the hot tub in the room and started filling it up and got in and then noticed stuff floating in it. We got out immediately, called down to the front desk and they offered to turn the pool up and we asked for a call back once it was done and never received a call back. They did offer to move us to another room but it was late and we didnt want to pack everything up. The main reason for us to come there was the room amneties which we didnt get a chance to use.

This was our second stay. The first was in the champagne tower suite. This stay we had the heart shaped hot tub suite. Surprisingly the 2nd stay was better than the first. I’ve always wanted to stay in one with the champagne tower, and it was nice, but the heart shaped hot tub was actually more comfortable and we spent a lot more time in it than the champagne tower.

We reserved the most expensive room they had with all the bells and whistles and purchased add on packages for a 40th birthday. Reviewed and confirmed with the property that everything was good to go and taken care of. On arrival, Room temp set on 83. Rose petals wilted, Balloons were by pool half deflated, supposed to be in jacuzzi. Meat/cheese tray, chocolate strawberries were frozen in the fridge. Pool unclean with bugs and floaters. Paper burned off log and smoked up the room. Maintenance said it’s a smoke out and completely normal. Room change unsuccessful, dirty chemical filled pool and room smelled of cigarette smoke. Saturday, arcade out of tokens and unable to use, bowling alley out of order, couldn’t do archery because staff was hanging Christmas lights mid day. Then, that evening, Old man at front desk made comment let us know if you want the new room or not because someone could walk in on you since the rooms have already been switched in the system. Prepaid add on Champagne was not ready at supper nor the appetizer of egg rolls etc and were cold on arrival. Bartender was called to my table because we “had a question about wine”. Pre-ordered and paid champagne was not served until after we refused drink menu and other drink orders and we had to almost beg for it. Steak overcooked and cold on arrival. Chicken cordon blu plate was cold as well. Did not get the red velvet cake or strawberries at supper. Strawberries came at breakfast on day after everything was wro

First I will start off by stating the staff, food and drinks were excellent! There are plenty of activities on and off site. After extensive research I had an idea on what to expect but it's safe to say I won't be back. The rooms need extreme cleaning and updating. The property has so many abandoned and run down buildings. It felt like we were on the set of a horror movie. This place has so much potential to be great, if the right investor came along and sank a bunch of $$ into it .

in room pool was heated and awesome. The famous champagne tower hot tub was everything you expected. Takes awhile to fill but we always had hot water. Round bed was comfortable to sleep and fun to be on. room was spotless and clean. they helped set up the room for our honeymoon so sweet and perfect with flowers and a bottle of wine. of course that is something I paid for, but they did it well. Staff everywhere on the resort was very friendly and found out most of them are all long time workers....sounds to me even the employees like the resort too.

The room was cold for 2 days, they had to replace my entire ac unit. And the pool was not staying warm. I would like to be compensated. Also I paid for dinner that we were not able to take because they said they didn’t have a way to heat it but we didn’t need to heat it we just wanted to have dinner in our room due to staff coughing and multiple people coughing thruout the restaurant. Very disappointed we had to through away bout our meals. While the r staff was nice the overall stay wasn’t great. Things were also outdated at the venue. It felt like an 80’s movie
