We enjoyed the champagne glass hot tub and heated heart shaped pool located in our suite. The suite was very clean and romantic. The bathrooms are updated. The food quality for breakfast and dinner was excellent and the service was great. The grounds look a bit dated but the outdoor pool area is well maintained. Overall the trip was fantastic and I would highly recommend for a romantic getaway!

First of all, they don’t have enough staff
Second of all, if you order food to your room, it takes hours. I did it twice.
They now charge you for breakfast and dinner. They never did that many years ago and I went.
Everything is basically unmanaged so you can use it but if you have any questions or problems you’re beat

Room was as described. Amenities were very disappointing. The outdoor pool had a duck floating around, the hot tub was not hot- barely Luke warm. The kayaks and pedal boats are a nice offer but, old. The docks/kayaks closed at 5:00 so, no hope of enjoying sunset. Tried to use arcade. Most of machines broken. Fireplace in room is nice but, you must use duraflame which is not included. Even 1 starter piece would be nice.

“The hotel itself had potential, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The food was not good and lacked quality and variety. Also, during our entire 3-day stay, our room was never cleaned, which was very frustrating and unacceptable. We expected much better service and attention to guests. The room we stayed in had mice that ran across our TV. We notified the staff and were told the manager would contact us and we never received a call. The rooms are clearly not maintained well. The property itself is old and falling apart. I do not recommend staying here.

Check-in was terrible; we stood in line for 45 minutes to check in. The room was clean except for a couple of rose petals that must be from the previous occupants. The game room token machine did not work, so we could not play some games. Dinner was horrible, limited choices, which I did not mind, they were not prepared well. Salmon and chicken were in water, the steak was tough, and they should have trimmed all that extra fat.
Entertainment and recreation were good.

The only thing I like was the staff everyone was nice. The game room was beautiful but our hotel room the shower was disgusting and the hot tub had black stuff flying out of there. I will not ever go back there because the shower is important and the shower was so dirty. It’s looking very rundown. They need to clean the hot tub really bad.

We have come here before and everything was ok. The property needs to be updated badly. As a business owner myself I totally get overhead and from what I see you guys have A lot of people working for you which in turn means ALOT of overhead. The room we had was updated with new flooring. The pool was ice cold in our room so we only swam once , the heart shaped jacuzzi was nice but not very deep. The sauna would’ve been nice if the door stayed shut but it didn’t. I paid almost 1k for two days and honestly I feel as if I’m owed a partial refund. I hate reviewing businesses because I know how hard it is and perhaps this was just a bad stay and had we gotten another room it would’ve been better; I’m not too sure about the latter. Sad to say but it left ALOT to be desired.

Me & my boyfriend went for my birthday,got an upgrade to the garden of Eden Apple room it was very clean . Very friendly staff, especially Jo Jo in the restaurant & Fran . Everything in the room worked well, especially the hot tub . Very good amenities for the guests . We loved the couples bowling , and the trails . We will be returning back

Overall had a very good stay at Cove Haven for several days, was a bit worried seeing quite a few negative reviews about cleanliness and property condition.

We stayed in the Champaign Tower and while yes, the property is dated and shows signs of aging and needing to be updated, the room was clean and really enjoyed the personal indoor pool and the Champaign tower tub was a very unique and fun experience!

Hopefully the management puts some investment into the property, such great potential with updates as this is a one of a kind romantic getaway up in the northeast!

We usually come for birthday and anniversary but this time was the worst our jacuzzi didn’t work and when we called front desk they said we had to wait til morning for maintenance I said we’re leaving tom no need then the bed we laid on it and it was on an slant after looking we found two wheels were off just laying there. Then the maintenance comes at 8am opens our door and turns on light we said come back after check out and he left our light on The main hot tub was disgusting the dinner was terrible needs updating and staff

The resort has seen better days and its age is starting to show. The room was very fun and spacious. The round bed, on wheels, kept rolling away from the headboard and all the pillows would fall off. The private pool and heart-shaped jacuzzi were a great feature. Dinner and breakfast were good, both leaned heavily on the large salad bar. On a side note, there were deer everywhere and you could buy feed at the store to hand feed them.

Room was ok, there was a smoke stain above the fireplace, water stains on the ceiling and a brown water stain in the hot tub. It was enjoyable though you can feed the deer and play some games with your lover dinner Saturday night was delicious but not so much Sunday night! We didn’t use the pool but looked nice. We had fun on the hiking trail even though it’s was a little muddy and wet as the snow had just melted. Trivia games at spooners were fun! All in all the place definitely has a distinctive feel and look, it was a nice little get away for us.

Upon arriving to the room, the heat was too high, so the room was too hot. The heart shaped heating pool had paint chips floating in the water and going into the pool when entering into the pool skin was itchy. When putting on the fire, the room got smoky and maintenance was called. Maintenance arrived 25 minutes later and all they did was take out the batteries from the smoke detector. Champagne glass tub needs improvement due to chips in tub. Round bed needs updating due to mattress being old and middle of mattress has a dip and cannot be comfortable as a couple. Couples need to sleep on the edge of the bed, not in the middle. Food was excellent. Indoor pool was closed and should not be at a resort

The employees should explain more details to people that are first time guests, the only thing that was explained to us was were our room as located and where we had to go to dinner, also tried to call the front desk numerous times to ask some questions no one answered, found out on our last night about the nightly and only received 1 ticket, for a 3 night stay, the arcade and bowling area at spooners needs maintenance some of the games don’t work properly and take your money, there also was the same garbage left laying around for 2 days,

The pool was freezing in the room and the Jacuzzi spit out funk gunk slime I for my money back and left. They ruined my hole time. There was throw up outside the office doors that was absolutely disgusting. Then we had to clean the jacuzzi because it was left dirty or halfway cleaned. And the whole resort is very out dated for the price. It took about an hour to get our food at Spooners when we were the only ppl sitting and the food wasn’t cooked all the way.

Room was very nice! We can have a beautiful night with the sauna, private pool and jacuzzi… the only thing is the cleaning… the pool was not clean you can see kind of mold on the sides. Besides that, it was a good place. They should put at least 2 water bottles as a courtesy and ice machines around. So bring water an ice if you you want to have a better experience

It was the setting. While I’m not into Hallmark movies, my wife very much is and we both referenced that throughout our stay. The staff was amazing, the fact that the deer in the area are so calm and feed is readily available at the gift shop helped my wife feel like a Disney princess. The events and amenities work well to have a full day without leaving the campus. A favorite of mine was talking to an old gentleman in the Blizzard lounge while playing checkers with my wife and just sharing life stories. It was cozy and we are definitely coming back in the future. It was worth the cost (we had a pool in our room!). We are already talking with my brother and his wife about dueling couples next time. Amazing stay. Definitely recommend!
