I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel for the second time. My first stay was in 2021 during the pandemic. The rooms were a bit worn out and old-fashioned back then. However, it appears that they have been recently renovated and are now spotlessly clean. The staff members are welcoming and accommodating. Another good idea is to walk to the gate and hail an Uber from there, as the taxis arranged by the hotel tend to be a bit pricey.

This hotel is a safe option for your first trip to Cabo. My husband and I visited and it was overall okay. The food could’ve been better, but the amenities and parties made up for that. The staff was great everywhere we went at the property.

We’ve been to lots of AI and this was the most disappointing. Unlike other resorts that have staff who frequently walk around and get you drinks so you don’t have to leave pool, this one does not. This is definitely a party hotel. There are lots of ready to party. The food was ehh at best. Most of the time I can find something to eat and know what to expect from an AI as far as food goes. For it being a family resort that caters to young children, there is much food selection for them. One thing that this hotel does offer is a view. Let me tell you this is probably one of if not the best view of Cabo and arch. Would likely not stay here again but still had a great time.

**Firstly, PLEASE remember to exchange your money at the airport or before you travel. The exchange rate at the resort is criminal.

We went in May and the heat was very manageable (from Canada) but still easy to burn. Lots of air conditioning indoors and plenty of water and drinks.

Please note the apartments have multiple floors but no elevators for use (maybe with small exceptions for those with accessibility needs), so I carried my luggage upstairs.

Resort is quite large so lots of walking back and forth but it’s incredibly clean and well kept. Lots of great pools for either play or relaxing including water games like volleyball or water polo.

So only concerns with the guest rooms are the showers weren’t very good for me; too hot or too cold but never warm. Also the air conditioning indoors some rooms is very loud and might be hard to sleep.

Food is a whole conversation too but keeping it brief, it depends on where you go. Some restaurants are kinda lackluster but others are outstanding. The Steakhouse, Baja buffet and poolside buffets were the best during my stay but the other sit down restaurants and buffets were kinda just okay.

You’re free to go off resort too to visit other restaurants and markets but the taxis are not part of all-inclusive. $8 USD per person for round trip (both ways).

RIU Parties were actually pretty good. Not too crazy and good security. I felt safe despite not being a party person at all.

There were many groups of college/high school kids staying on the property, and we experienced quite a bit of noise when they passed by our room. My husband is a light sleeper, and the noise woke him up several times during the night.

We were also somewhat disappointed with the food. It was acceptable, but nothing special. There was no room service and no snack options available. At other all-inclusive resorts, my children have enjoyed extras such as crepes and a wider variety of snacks, so our expectations were a bit higher.

That said, the view was absolutely gorgeous and was definitely the highlight of our stay.

It's a wonderful resort and everyone was friendly and helpful. Keep in mind that most of the villas didn't have elevators. I needed the exercise anyways with all the drinking and eating.

Requested so many times to refill the alcohol in the room and it says that they will refill the alcohol in the room every couple days which was not done. Requested extra cups a couple times also didn’t come. Pool has different closing times. Was denied by restaurant twice even tho they were still open. Soap in the room was also not refilled when there was 3 person staying in the room for 7 days. One of our key card was taken by the room service and when we asked for a new one they didn’t even apologize and stated that were the one who should get it in the reception. Most staff that works in the restaurants are not really welcoming. Bar by the pool closes at 5pm when the pool closes at 8pm. No elevator and were staying at the 3rd floor. Upon checking out, check out lane was not open. Would never go back here again. Go to other hotels

Had a great time with my girlfriend. We are in our early 20s and still like to drink and party a bit. I highly recommend this to the younger crowd. The staff was nice and helpful the resort was safe people were pretty friendly and respectful. Had a 10/10 time will definitely be coming back next time I come back to cabo

La llegada fue horrible, me mandaron al resor equivocado, cuando por fin llegué a la propiedad las indicaciones para estacionarme por parte del personal fueron dudas, al llegar a recepción después de una gran fila para poder ser atendido me hicieron esperar casi 2 horas para decirme que no encontraron mi reservación y que necesitaba vomver a pagar la estancia, nunca pudieron comunicarse con expedía y finalmente la gerente de reservación me recomendó que me quedara en otro hotel por qué no tenían mi reservación, al final terminaron cobrando por mi reservación sin que me dieran el serevicio, a esto le llamo robo y deshonestidad.

Resort was fine. Our room looked out onto a dirt road. We were celebrating 25 year anniversary and hoped for a little better view. Beach....long walk from room was 45 degree angle to ocean. We go to Mexico to be on beach enjoying sand and waves. This resort is more for pools and bars if that is what you want.

Very clean and well maintained. Food and drinks average to above average. Room was nice and very clean. Staff was fantastic. The only drawback was out of the 10 swimming pools, none were for adults only. We generally go to adult only resorts but we booked late and could not find one. This is definitely a family resort. This also a very large resort. A lot of walking to get where you want to go. Very nice overall.

If u want some tv I would go either to RIU palace or the adult RIU. U cannot tv hookup to your Netflix, prime etc on the TVs n the bedroom. Oh and there are no elevators so u have to carry ur suitcases up the stairs.
However the staff were wonderful . We will stay at the adult you next time they have what RIU Santa Fe lacks. My friends stayed there, we were at Santa fe

Staff were terrible. Very hard to find a kind person who WANTED to help out. Had an unfortunate accident in our room and the cleaning supervisor told us to handle it ourselves and that they can’t give us any new items. When we left they then charged us a huge cleaning fee and said we couldn’t leave till we paid it. They were rolling their eyes the whole time and called us rude things in Spanish because they didn’t realize we could understand them.

We loved absolutely everything, from location, food, amenities and especially the amazing staff that works here!!! We were already planning our next vacation here before this vacation was over.

All pools were awesome, water parks were awesome and all views were spectacular. The staff was constantly cleaning and greeting you anytime you saw them!!!

The amenities are great and the pool bar people are amazing. The check in people along with the taxi coordinators had terrible attitudes. Another thing to note; if you aren’t paying for their private transportation you’ll have to walk outside of the property and onto the dirt road to be able to catch an uber or taxi. My room was ocean view so we had about a mile walk from our villa to the entrance of the resort.

Resort and stay was better than I expected. I let Ai pick and choose a hotel for me. My o my it exceeded my expectations. Resort had different cuisines to enjoy and multiple swimming pools with alcohol service. Room was great too, beers and liquor available in the room.

Not all staff speaks fluent English so be patient, they are very helpful. Use Google translate app if you are having trouble communicating.

The resort was absolutely perfect for us with the all-inclusive. Definitely recommend for couples who want to relax and party at the same time. Things to know before going, the rooms do not have a microwave so any leftover food must be warmed up in the sports bar. Also, keep track of when restaurants & bars open and close. There were times where we couldnt get food by a pool and had to walk to the courtyard to get some. I highly recommend not booking activities the day you check in so you can hang out and the resort and enjoy its amentities. Also for the waterpark slides, no jewelry is allowed so try not to wear any permanent jewelery as they will not let you on. And lastly, download the riu app and make an account before checking in. This will get you rewards once you check in and you will be able to see the daily schedule of activities and entertainment everyday.

I do not recommend this property. It’s false advertisement. There is no room service, the hotel was expanded and this is not disclosed anywhere, therefore they will give you a room that is so far away and removed from everything is like you’re staying in an isolated location with no amenities. None of the staff knows what’s going on, you’ll ask if you need reservations for the restaurants they’ll say no, only for you to end up needing one. The staff is extremely loud and inconsiderate often starting their days at 6am laughing and gossiping while you’re trying to sleep in your room. The vendors they work with are just as unprofessional, we booked a service and they were over an hour late. Nothing was relaxing about this trip and whatever description they have of the hotel is not up dated and accurately described. Just know they had to DRAW the building we were staying in on the map they provided us. Check in is an extremely long process as well, and they call the rooms villas when these are actual just hotel rooms. Also there’s no elevators!!! When you call to inquire why are you so far removed from the property you booked they’ll tell you.. that’s what you picked. As if the undisclosed building expansion with view of the parking lot that they had to draw on the map, was what I picked. I can’t comment on housekeeping as they never seems to stopped by our room. The food was okay, a lot of variety but not as flavorful.

This was our first time staying at the RIU, and overall it was just okay. Unfortunately, we left pretty disappointed and won’t be returning.

During our stay, my daughter got sick and threw up on the sheets one night. I also ended up getting blood on another sheet after cutting myself. I tried getting a Band-Aid from the store, but it was closed, and the front desk couldn’t provide one either. I did my best to avoid getting blood on anything, but without basic first aid supplies it was difficult.

At checkout, we were unexpectedly charged $114 for sheet cleaning. We’ve stayed at many resorts over the years and have never been charged for something like this before. Honestly, we could have purchased brand new sheets for less than what we were charged for cleaning. To make matters worse, there was 800 pesos left in our room during the cleaning that mysteriously disappeared. We didn’t even complain about the missing money because we figured housekeeping deserved something extra for dealing with the mess. Outside of that one incident, our room was always kept clean, we cleaned up before checkout, and even left a tip and a bottle of tequila for housekeeping.

The lack of understanding and customer service was really disappointing. Sadly, this experience made sure we won’t be back.

A mi personalmente no me gustó tanto este resort ya que la variedad de restaurantes y comida no es tan abundante y la bebida de verdad que están bastante pobres de muy baja calidad. La pasamos bien éramos un grupo de 6 personas y ninguno quedamos muy contentos. También el personal no todos pero si en algunos lugares del resort son muy rudos no le dan un buen servicio al huéspedes son bastantes rudos para hablar con los clientes. Tuve un econviniente con uno muchacho llamado flores y tal José creo que eras un supervisor todo porque nosotros estábamos sentados en el teatro tomándonos unos tragos y yo tenía una pequeña bocina con una música bien bajita porque le estaba proponiendo matrimonio a mi esposa y ellos vinieron y me dijeron que no podía tener música puesta después de las 12:00 pm y creo no esa hora era la verdad no quedé nada contento de viajar desde Florida hasta allá para encontrarme con algo así No me gustó para nada

Unbeatable price point for all-inclusive. Food was fresh, but most things were bland-- honestly better than expected based on the price. Every meal had amazing fresh fruit and veggies. Liquor seemed watered down, but that's how we feel at all the all-inclusive resorts! Lots to do, so all ages can enjoy. Room was very clean! The vast majority of staff spoke no English, so they seem to avoid any kind of eye contact. Parties are geared toward the 18-25 crowd... and that's definitely the predominant age bracket.
Be prepared for a lot of walking... resort is HUGE

I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve read mid reviews but it’s 2026 this place is top tier, and clean. Every minute of the day and everywhere you turn you find yourself employees cleaning and maintaining the resort. Food was 6/10 but that’s okay. It was an amazing experience. Rooms decent size. Only complaint is shampoo/body wash would run out fast. So I had to get it refilled twice. We were a family of 4 in the room.

Decent hotel for price you pay, but had a lot of minor issues with everything. First, the food is not good at all and the steakhouse did not let us in 2 nights in a row while seating older families ahead of us. The beach is unswimmable because conditions are unsafe, and not to mention there is about 30 salesman who approach you within 10 minutes if you even want to go to the beach. There were ants in our room. activities were fine but not many varieties for different age groups. Not to mention all of the drinks were watered down don’t expect to get drunk!! Staff was nice though and helpful whenever they had a chance. Not the worst place but wouldn’t go back with the girls, more of a family with kiddos trip.

Hotel Riu Santa Fe was a great place to stay. Very clean. Friendly staff. Yummy food. Great balance of entertainment. Many pool options! Beautiful beach to see and walk on, but can’t swim right out front property to dangerous. But walk down a ways and it’s beautiful and safer to swim in. Very central to activities, restaurants and marina. Weather was beautiful not too hot in May! Lots of vendors out front the property on beach to buy souvenirs make sure to barter though! Massages on beach! Make sure to barter though. Security in front of property and on property at night. Very safe feeling! Overall stay and experience was great! I would go back! Great deals to go and stay!
