Friendly staff and nicely renovated bathroom. Great location with very convenient transportation. Lots of shops around, walking distance to quia few tourists sports; right across the harbor with excellent views if you have a sea-view room. Some lower level rooms' windows are about 1 foot away from the next building. Depends on which room you choose.

Really comfortable stay at this hotel. From the outside, I was a bit worried that it looked old..but the inside is updated/renovated. The rooms were clean, great blackout curtains, cozy toilet, clean room, comfortable beddind. Includes breakfast and it was really good. Full on breakfast! The hotel is also very central. Really liked this hotel.

It is a few minutes walk from the south exit of the Keelung train station. Walk along the seaside, when you see the Harbor Plaza sign, cross the road via the zebra crossing and the hotel is around the corner. Overall it is a good stay and we have a king size bed which is comfortable. A few blocks away has lot of street food.

Very close to the Norwegian Cruise Port in Keelung. Our room has the Harbour view and what i love is their congee with lots of yummy condiments for breakfast. Best is close to walking distance to train station...

I like the location, very near the TRA station and not far from the night market. However I was unhappy because I was bitten by bed bugs and I feedback to the staff hut yet nothing seemed to be done to appease me.

Very near to Keelung station (about 5 mins walk). Luggages can be wheeled all the way from the train station. Many bus services pass by the front of the hotel as well.

Near many food and shopping areas, many convenience stores around. Good view of Keelung Harbour.

Excellent counter staff, excellent traditional Taiwan porridge breakfast. Rooms were clean and new. Great location and view of the harbour. Don't be bluffed by the humble exterior, this is a great find!

Harbor View is a very nice hotel, right near the train station, and with views over the harbor and plaza at the center of the city. It is very clean and comfortable, nicely decorated and efficiently run. Room was very clean, and bathroom very nice and roomy. (Western toilet) Workers at the desk were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite Asian, but with eggs and toast and some Western things in the plentiful mix for international guests. We had a lovely view of the harbor and sea birds. Recommend.

Don't stay here

Pros: good location, close to train station, busses to Jiufen, night market and the harbour. Also, the lady working the front desk was great.

Cons: dead bug on the carpet when we walked into the room, AC wasn't really working and the temperature was stuck at 25, the beds are as hard as a wooden plank, very uncomfortable. Also the man at the front desk almost gave us another guest's key (the hotel requires you to return and retrieve the room key everytime you leave/come back).

Was there for a fishing trip , although did not spent much time in the hotel, the experience with the night duty staff was excellent, friendly, always smiling, concern for safety and ensured that i have a pleasant stay. Very helpful.

The hotel front desk staff will track each guest who walk in. And will check CCTV that you are the hotel guest. Have no privacy. Any unexpected guest will need to top up additional charges including children. They will make sure u pay every single cent. Very bad experience

The hotel is situated near to the Keelung night market, giving us easy access to great food. The view from our room overlooked the harbour, making it a pleasure to stare out of the window both in the day and at night. Loved the hotel and will come back.

the hotel is located very near to the train station and bus station. it is situated opposite the habour and very near to the night market.The minus side is that they gave me a room with no window, the staff claimed that the room with habour view were fully booked a month ago, however i booked my room three months ago. well, maybe there is a trade off if you book from the website. overall, the convenience is excellent.

Our Stay At Harbor View Hotel

The hotel was easily located when we alighted from our bus trip from Taipei Main Station. It was also located very close to the Keelung Main Railway Station, Bus Stations as well as the Tourist Information Centre. The Hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful although both my wife and myself were not that eloquent in Mandarin. Despite of such constraints, with their assistance, we were able to make our way to almost all the places of interest in North East Taipei. The morning breakfast, though simple but were of quality and delicious. The room (twin sharing) was clean and cosy. It was indeed a memorable stay for both of us. Highly recommended for those who intend to stay in Keelung.

Room wasn't very comfortable - it smells of cigarettes although they don't allow smoking there. The room doesn't feel very clean. Location wise its good, free 12 hours at a public car park via voucher coupon per night but it is 5 - 10 minutes walk away. (it is not nice when you have luggages)

view of keelung isn't spectacular but a sea view is still nice. The location of the hotel is good, lots of cafe and restaurants around and night market is a few minutes away. The room was well isolated from noise from the street and traffic but noise from other rooms can be heard rather clearly.

Great hotel for a great price

This hotel is located directly across the Keelung Harbour, the ocean view was quite nice (only certain rooms have them).

The hotel itself seems like it has been recently renovated, the rooms are clean and decorated quite nicely. The size is a bit snug, however for the price and the location the size is definitely not a deal breaker. The hotel is also conveniently located near the Keelung Temple night market (about a 5-8 min walk), and the Keelung train station.

The only negative there is to mention about the hotel is that the parking lot isn't on-site, and you would need to drop your luggage off in front of the hotel first, then park your car. It is also not the greatest area for pick-up or drop-offs of passengers or luggage. However if you do not plan on driving, this wouldn't be an issue for you

The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast spread was acceptable and I would definitely return again if I ever need to stay in Keelung for a night.

Smoke smell filled the room at night

The service was very good but at night I was awakened to very strong smell of cigarret smoke. This was quite disruptive to my sleep. Don't know where it came from but it was there. Perhaps ventilation needs to be improved.

stayed here for a night with my boyfriend. place was easy to find and very accessible from the bus/train stations.
however service at the reception was poor at the hotel. staff did not smile or help much generally, and when we requested for a slightly later checkout (just about half an hour later than the 12pm checkout time), we were told that a fee of NTD100 will be charged for every 15 mins we are late. very inflexible in my opinion, as I'd think this is quite a basic request.

Hotel located right in the city thus very convenient. A mere 5 minutes walk form the city's railway station and 10 mininutes walk to the nearest night market. Close to tourist attraction such as Ocean Park and Yeliu Geological Park. Staff are friendly and helpful.
