Great location hotel overlooking the lake

Good location hotel, walkable distance from Ancona old town and lake. Nice pickup and drop of with hotel bus (from and to Locarno train station. Staff was overwhelmed with a series of group booking, confusion was evident but no improvement. My room was a small but with a view, AC not working and none of the staff knew how to fix it. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake and pool was a nice setting but staff again overwhelmed with groups.

Beautiful setting overlooking the harbor of Ascona. Rooms were clean and comfortable with wonderful toiletries. Swimming pool is large with many comfortable lounge chairs. Great and beautiful sitting rooms.

The location, the surroundings and the view of the hotel are wonderful. The personnel was very nice and helpful.
But our room was really, really old. Not 4-star. Old carpet, very old appliances and lots of chipped items. The bed was comfortable though.

The room were very dirty,... we have late check in and the front desk staff wasn’t at position and totally no qualify at all to work in any hotel. Rule and irresponsible!!!
The worst that we are traveling with 2 kids, and discover the room has a huge cockroach!

Hotel with a great view

Staff very friendly and helpful. All spoke good English. Good quality breakfast, not lavish but fruit, eggs, cheese, pastries all delicious. Enjoyed the dinners, the menu more Swiss German than Italian. Highlights were the pool, heated and big enough for real swimming, lovely terraces to eat and drink, views of the town, lake and mountains, spacious room (we had upgrade to lake view and balcony).

The rooms are huge, the balcony is pleasant.

Swiss-Italian Paradise

We were impressed by this hotel's beautiful view of the lake & Mountains. The restaurant, bar, & pool areas were great to just relax in & very well decorated. We rented e-bikes from the hotel - a fantastic experience that made it much easier to get around the hilly neighborhood.

Aussicht „Top“, nicht hundefreundlich

Schönes in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal.

Leider nicht wirklich eine hundefreundliche Unterkunft:
Zwar sind Hunde in der Unterkunft grundsätzlich erlaubt, jedoch nicht im Restaurant – weder beim Frühstück noch beim Abendessen, auch nicht auf der Terrasse. Beim Einchecken fragten wir nach, wo sich unser Hund aufhalten dürfe. Die Antwort lautete: laut Hotelrichtlinie im Grunde nur im Hotelzimmer.
Aus unserer Sicht werden Hunde hier lediglich geduldet, aber nicht wirklich willkommen geheißen. Für uns entspricht das nicht dem Anspruch einer hundefreundlichen Unterkunft.

Für mich war neu , der Ausbau in weiss ist sehr schön gelungen.Bewertung 1-10 , für mich eine 9.Die 9 wegen der Badewanne mit dem Vorhang , ich hätte lieber eine Dusche.Nun gut Wir werden sicher wieder kommen und auch an Freunde eine sehr positive Empfehlung weitergeben.Vielen Dank dem Management und dem ganzen Team , einfach Top , Daumen hoch !

Tolles Hotel !

Tolle Aussicht, schöne Zimmer und wundervolle Badezimmer. Hotel ist nicht sehr neu aber sehr gut unterhalten und sauber. Nichts zu meckern. Frühstücksbuffet ebenfalls sehr ansprechend und die Restaurant-Sitzplätze auf der grossen Terrasse bei schönem Wetter ganz toll! Personal sehr freundlich. Würde sofort wieder hier buchen. Preis-/Leistung stimmt.

Très belle situation avec une vue magnifique sur la ville et le lac et à 10 minutes à pieds du centre de la ville.
Très belle piscine.
Petit déjeuner buffet avec beaucoup de choix.

Das Hotel Ascona war gesamthaft prima... unser Zimmer sehr geräumig, die Terrasse super. Allerdings die Dusche sehr eng und im Zimmer war immer ein seltsamer Geruch..
Diesen Geruch haben wir nicht weggebracht.
Erfreulich war, dass die Küche sich sehr gesteigert hat. Wir hatten ein hervorragendes Abendessen...
Das Frühstücksbuffet überzeugt wie in den letzten 15 Jahren!

ich werde nicht mehr in dieses Hotel gehen. Leider bin ich sehr enttäuscht gewesen. es ist nur eine Nacht gewesen und kam von einem super Hotel 3 Sterne. Getränk ist abgelaufen es müffelte komisch im Zimmer dass Hotel ist einfach in die Jahre gekommen. Die Aussicht ist sehr schön.

Nice location above Ascona with great views. Walking distance to lakeside and bus connection to Locarno. Very good service, hygiene concept and breakfast buffet. Carpet in room showed some traces of use and fading from the sun and should be replaced. Overall an ideal place for a long weekend.

Die Lage ist top, tolle Aussicht auf Ascona und See. Garten grosszügig, immer freie Liegestühle. Sandwich im Garten = Frisches Brot = plus aber ob Salami oder Schinken = ohne einen Hauch Butter, nicht mal eine Gurke oder Tomate = trockene Angelegenheit und nicht 4* würdig. Empfang…, wir waren schon dreimal dort, man wird jedoch nicht begrüsst, sondern; „wie heissen Sie…“ ein Click auf dem Computer hätte genügt. Sind jedoch grundsätzlich Details. Gestört hat uns jedoch: Wir sind mit dem Hund gekommen, steht ja Hundefreundliches Hotel und Fr. 15.- pro Nacht. Soweit kein Problem. Aber dass dann der gut erzogene Vierbeiner sich nur im Hotelzimmer aufhalten darf, war nicht unsere Meinung von einem hundefreundlichen Hotel…!

Es ist ein tolles Hotel, mit schöner Aussicht. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommen und freundlich.
Die Zimmer sind ins Alter gekommen, aber trotzdem sehr sauber.
Die Duschtücher wurden jeden Tag gewechselt und dass Frühstücksbuffet hat jeden Wunsch erfüllt.

das Zimmer war maximal auf 3 Sterne Niveau!!

- die Dame am Check-In ist extrem unfreundlich und bei der Ankunft fühlt man sich überhaupt nicht willkommen. Von Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft keine Spur

- das Zimmer war schrecklich!! Uralter oranger Teppich, alte Möbel, keine Klimaanlage, Aussicht auf eine dreckige Wand vom Fenster und runtergekommenes Haus. Das Zimmer erinnerte mich an mein Schullager vor 20 Jahren.

Ein gutes Hotel mit schöner Aussicht.

Es war alles gut, nur hatte mein Einzelzimmer statt einer Klimaanlage nur einen Ventilator. Das war für die eine Nacht ok, aber für mehr Nächte bei solch heissen Temperaturen (32 Grad), wäre Air Conditioning schon wünschenswert. Andere Zimmer haben eine Klimaanlage.

Aber dennoch ein schönes Hotel und empfehlenswert. Die Aussicht ist sehr schön.

1A Hotel faire preise, top pers. Aussicht ascona

Ein wunder lieben schönen von 2 nette fröhliche Damen, sehr hilfsbereit und man hat sich um mein anliegen, gekümmert. bin das 3x im hotel und komme am sommer wieder. habe ein upgrade bekommen was mich sehr freute. vor 2jahren habe ich ein falscher tag gebucht, und man hat mir direkt geholfen ohne grosse probleme. kompliment an das super freundliche personal. wunderschöner aussenbereich, faines essen zu fairen preisen. Das einzig ist das dass Hotel, sprich gewisse zimmer( Einzelzimmer) in sein Alter gekommen sind. Der boden in denn zimmer sollte kein teppich sein, hygienisch gesehen und haben kürzere Lebensdauer als Parkett oder anderer Böden.
Ich kann das hotel nur weiter empfählen. Angebot Komfort und Leistungsverhältnis stimmen mit dem Preis sehr gut überein. Ich Reise viel und habe für denn humanen Preis selten so ein gutes gesamt packet erhalten. vielen dank Ralf

J’ai aimé la piscine chauffée à 27 et sa situation.
J’ai pas du tout aimé la chambre vétuste qui ressemblait à une chambre d’EMS et pas insonorisée et qui ne fait pas du tout honneur à un 4*.
J’ai aimé le personnel assez sympathique
Et le parking gratuit.
La localisation est lointaine pour une personne qui n’arrive pas bien marcher et surtout en pente abrupte et mal desservie.
La vue est magnifique depuis le restaurant.
J’ai été malade avec le repas du soir donc je ne serais absolument pas positif. Sans compter un déjeuner à 20.- qui nous à fait déjeuner à l’extérieur au bord du lac pour mieux.
Bref, déçu.
