Hotel needs renovation - AC in room 2009 was NOT working; staff indicated leave window open (above street traffic); then informed AC was not operating throughout the hotel. We requested new room or refund; moved to another room where AC did operate. Hotel needs renovation - carpets, showers, etc.

The location was the best asset - proximity to bus station, airport, and walkable to Old Town, downtown, etc.

The staff is friendly and helpful, calling for an early morning taxi and providing good meal recommendations
Although I didnt have time to exercise, the gym is top notch for a hotel like this one.

The bad: the interior is dated; clean but dark. The room lighting shpuld be improved, make it brighter and softer. The biggest issue is the room temperature. On the 4th floor, my room was too hot and with no access to exterior windows, the room could not cool enough. My sleep was affected. Also, the mattress felt old and relatively uncomfortable, too.

I have stayed at this hotel many times before, and I have not been in it since Covid. The rooms look old, with stains on the walls and carpet. It has not been improved at all. Good location, good parking, and decent breakfast. But that is all of the good things. The temperature in the room was too high, and I could not control it. I told reception to look into it and they didn't.

A lovely hotel with attentive and efficient staff who went above and beyond to help. However, the rooms were too warm (opening the window helped, but a security risk since next to walkway) and the controls didn't seem to function. Also, a lot of background noise of pipework and ducts humming all night.

The place is average. City center is walkable. But if you are like me that is always hot even in the winter, this place is NOT for you. The AC is completely not working and heater is always on at 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Even if you open the window, it did not help in our room coz our room was facing inward. No cool air coming in. Called the desk and I was told that during winter the AC is off.

The listing says this hotel includes an airport transfer but it does not. They will call you a taxi. The mini bar fridge was completely broken. The room had an ‘ atrium view’- the window opened into a creepy dark astroturfed hallway. There wasn’t any hot water when my friend and I tried to take showers in the evening. For 108$ this seems insane. I would avoid this hotel in future. It’s not even in a very nice location

North American feel in a nice European country.

This hotel is very nice. The room was an ok size. The staff was very helpful. There is a mall attched and it had everything you could want. You can walk around and it felt safe. The hotel is within walking distance of the bus station despite what the taxi will tell you. I would stay here again.

Overall Not a 4* hotel or service.

Lunch was delicious and staff very friendly. Our suite was spacious and very clean.
I tried for room service but the phone wasn’t working, so i went to reception where they were adamant the phone worked. I ordered a wrap without mayo and also asked for a duvet. When it was delivered i asked for a cake and ice cream for my partner, we were told there was no ice cream, we asked for a duvet again and were told no and the staff member left in the middle of our conversation. So i went down again and asked for a duvet, the staff told me to use my phone to which i explained it didn’t work, i was told again it does. my wrap was drenched in mayo (I’m vegan). The duvet was delivered and the staff member finally admitted the phone didn’t work, but we were told there was no cake.

The toilet seat was dirty, which was disgusting.
Even though I paid for suite, it had no view from the window. The window was looking at the patio or a hallway with no sunlight whatsoever.
Due to dirty bathroom I was giving a new room which was smaller than the first one.
The only nice experience was the front desk personnel who was ready to offer a new room.

We arrived for a one night stay before our long flight out the next morning, firstly the air-conditioning in our room didn't work, so we didn't sleep well at all.

We then awoke to no hot water either, so we both couldn't have showers before we left.

We tried to call reception several times over the stay about these issues, but the phone was never answered.

When we addressed the issue at the front desk, the response was lacklustre and not at all helpful.

The hotel was lovely. The communal areas and room were in a good condition. The bar was a lovely space and reasonably priced. The room was very spacious and had a mini bar fridge for use. The bathroom was spacious, clean and good condition. There was a slight issue with the water (wasn't very cold when wanting cold water and the pressure would change) - however, the hotel did have a sign in the room apologising and saying they were trying to upgrade it. The staff were all lovely, particularly Sauda P on reception who was so helpful and kind. It was good the breakfast was included.

OK Hotel, front desk needs training…

The hotel was ok, convenient to the train and bus stations. The only issue I have is with the front desk person. The hotel was less than 25% occupied. The front desk gave us a room with a view of a wall. When I requested a room with a better view, she just stated that was the room that I reserved and that she could not change it unless I wanted to pay more money. Never going to that property again and may never go to a Ramada again.

Stayed 2 nights in May. Staff were particularly helpful after my bag didn't make it with my flight, and needed some toiletries, an also help in calling the airport.
High quality hotel all round. Bit odd that only 1 lift working and no stairs access to first floor (where fitness room is). The fitness room is quite extensively equipped.
The hotel is located on top of the Montenegro Mall, so easy access to shopping opportunities.

I had a very nice, spacious room in this modern, well equipped hotel. The problem came up the morning when I was gong to shower before running off to the airport. I couldn't get the hot water faucet in the shower to work even though I was familiar with the fixture as I first thought I wasn't doing it correctly. I had to run to the airport so thought I would wash my hair in the sink which I haven't done in a long time. But there was no hot water from the sink though the fixture worked fine. I mentioned that when I checked out but the desk clerk claimed she didn't know anything about it and that I should have called maintenance- which I had no time to do before I had to go to the airport.. She really brushed me off.

Hotel location is also good. Its next to Mall of Montenegro and a large market. The bus terminal is just 6 minutes' on foot. Breakfast was very good too.

Great hotel, modern, very clean, stylish. Hotel limousine was waiting on time n very nice chatty chauffeur. Requested quiet room in advance by email. Got to room n could hear very loud construction noise, drilling, crashing etc within hotel. Was going straight out so asked at reception to change room. Assured it would stop at 5pm n not happening in the morning. Went sightseeing, got back at 5 :15 n noise was louder. Complained to have them stop which they did n sent apology of fruit basket n coffee which was very nice. However, why allocate me a room under the noise (refurbishing meeting rooms above my room) when they could have put me at the other end of this huge 110 bedroom hotel away from noise. Hotel very quiet as only 7 people at breakfast n 2 people in eve restaurant. Room was small n I couldn’t actually find pics of this room on Expedia, perhaps this is why the rate was low. Room not made up next day, no replen of shower gel or coffee. On check out commented on this n just got a surprised look, no apology n she still charged me the 2 Euros for the chocolate I said I had from the mini bar. Food in lounge bar was very good n waiter excellent, friendly n chatty. This could be a much better hotel if issues r dealt with better. I would recommend it only if there is no refurbishment going on so check before getting room.

Oasis in a War-Torn Land

Many, many years ago in my post-college wandering days (1970's) I passed through then Yugoslavia, including Montenegro. Compared to Western Europe, it was a savage, undeveloped land, with little infrastructure and a harsh social atmosphere typical of the Soviet satellite world.

But was it ever beautiful! They say that during creation God's bag of racks popped a hole and dumped the entire contents on Montenegro. It is a hiker's paradise, with plenty of opportunities to climb to astonishing vistas. Unfortunately, Podgorica, the new capitol of Montenegro (which just chose by the thinnest of margins to become independent of Serbia in the early 2000's) shows the dramatic effects of the Balkan warts and general poverty and neglect; many buildings abandoned and falling apart, little or no cultural life. It is the capitol of a developing country that, for a variety of economic and political reasons, has not yet developed, and a good place to leave for the astonishing primitive beauty that surrounds it.

Great hotel! Really comfortable, great service, and a quality breakfast. Access to the large, modern gym facility downstairs was an added bonus. Not just good for Balkan standards, but as quality as any Ramada I've been to around the world. Highly recommended!

Modern classy hotel but with some problems.

Despite the nice and almost brand new furniture in the rooms, most of them high quality, our stay was stained by the fact that on our second night at the hotel, the air conditioning wasn't refrigerating anymore. Complained to the front desk , but in vain.
Had some problems with some of the staff as well.

The hotel is a very good option in Podgorica. Good value for money and near the historical center. Also walking distance from parks and the newer area of the city. Staff was very helpful, finding a taxi driver to take us in day trips to the beach and to the old capital (highly recommended). There is also a shopping mall and a supermarket annex to the hotel and a very good gym.

Very nice hotel in a nice area with great staff

This was a very nice hotel with a great location and even better staff service. It is located attached to the local mall and cabs are available just outside. The facilities were very nice and the bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast is nice and offers a lovely view of the mountains. The only problems I had were the satellite tv not working for many of the English language channels and more disturbing, waking to find someone in my room while I was asleep. When I groggily woke up and asked him what was happening, he quickly left the room without even addressing me. It was a bit scary, but since nothing was missing, I assumed he was there to check the mini bar. Otherwise a very nice stay.

Receptionists were all very cordial and friendly and spoke good English. Very comfortable room that had climate control (a/c). Onsite restaurant provided a nice breakfast that had a variety of hot and chilled selections.

12 DAYS IN PODGORICA

Came to Podgorica to support our sons waterpolo team. Hotel was everything you would expect from an international chain hotel. Room spacious and modern. Bathroom a generous size. Staff very helpful from the first e mail query to them to the time we checked out. Recommended drivers for excursions, called Taxis for us as well as directing us to some hard to find places. Bed 9/10 comfortable. Room service relatively cheap and very prompt. Breakfast had good variety but fruit juice typical Balkan post-mix attempt and was yuck. Fresh fruit was fresher on some days than others. While I am unlikely to return to Podgorica (unless there is another event here) I would happily return to the Ramada. There is a gym and massage service on the first floor. Gym us complimentary but massage at a cost. Wifey enjoyed a late evening massage. Mall of Montenegro shares a wall with the hotel and was handy for beer,coffee, shopping and groceries.

We arrived late evening. Heck out was swift. The lady at reception recommended Sicilia next door for a late evening snack and drink and it was perfect. The hotel was quite large. Breakfast was in a large room with a panoramic view. Proximity to most places was good, especially the bus station where you can buy off the cuff if need be.

+ big room – very spacious including a corner sofa!
+ fridge/mini-bar in room
+ in-room tea & coffee (note: the individual milks/creams were hidden in the fridge)
+ bathroom had individual toiletries & hair dryer
+ bathroom had shaving mirror but set exceptionally high. I’m 6’3” and I round it high!
+ shower remembered its temperature setting
+ nice selection for breakfast, including egg & chips!
+ nice roof top terrace breakfast area

Here are the negatives (in order of importance)
- the internet because unusable in the evenings. Had to abandon trying to use it
- the breakfast serving layout needs a rethink because you have corners where there is lots of food to select but very limited access. (Is it just me who thinks that everyone else takes 3-4 times longer to serve themselves than I would?)
- the orange juice was too artificial
- breakfast finished at 10am & the breakfast staff were overly keen to clear stuff away
- no ironing board in room. Asked for one, it leaked badly and had a dodgey power cable
- toilet roll was low grade
- annoying alarm clock went off when I didn’t want/expect it to - didn’t know how to disable the alarm!

This hotel was a welcome relief after the harrowingly long train ride from Belgrade ; the restaurant has a broad selection of local food and wine ; staff eagerly provided information including how to travel to beautiful city of Shkoder in Albania; a good introduction to friendly Montenegro where everything is \"the beat in the world\".

I was there for a three day business stay in the most uncomfortable room. I called several times as my room was 27 to 29 c. That's 80 + degrees Fahrenheit. When I called the front desk for help getting my air conditioning on as I was baking in my room I t was if I was bothering the front desk.

Furniture was in a Japanese style only inches above the ground and unusable.

Restaurant had the slowest service I have ever had. Bland good.

I have a large travel budget and can stay in any hotel I like.

Stay somewhere else because I will.

Excellent hotel

In Podgorica for business. Ripped off by so-called official taxi from airport (navy blue mercedes e class), aparently a common event for travellers. Agree on a fee before getting in the car! However the Ramada Podgorica made up for it, an excellent hotel. Room was beautiful with everything you could want, kettle, fridge, good a/c, really comfortable bed. Cannot fault anything about the hotel. Located beside the Mall of Montenegro, good supermarket on ground floor. Centre of Podgorica does not have much to offer the traveller but there is a lot of new building going on over the river which is quite modern. People are friendly and outside the capital the country is beautiful, the coastline especially. There is one Catholic Church in Podgorica with mass at 5pm in winter and 7pm in summer on weekdays.

We were pleased with this hotel including welcoming staff, a very large and well-furnished room, a quiet environment, a comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed the food service served at the restaurant. We have stayed at many hotels in many countries and the Ramada Podgorica is among the best. The cost of the hotel room was very expensive as there must have been a convention going on...

Overnight stay in Podgorica

We stayed here for one night only as a stop over before catching an early morning flight.Chose Ramada because of very good deal for the two adjacent rooms.
The hotel is within a reasonable distance from the Podgorica airport and it took us less than 15 minutes to get there.
Getting to the hotel is a bit more awkward as the route for parking/garage is not well signposted, which can be frustrating in a traffic and bad driving by the locals.
The hotel is fairly new and the personnel is very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are rather large for this type of hotel, very comfortable and clean. Good value for money. Definitely worth checking when going to Podgorica.
