I paid €93 for a double room with single occupancy. The room I had did not to my mind bear any resemblance to the room in the pictures. The bedroom was sparse and the bathroom very cold.

Worth staying

Nice place, friendly staff, clean, good price, great location. Room a bit small, but its fine and had a good shower, and tea/coffee making. View over the market and a short walk to the water.

Who said that you can't go climbing in Netherlands

The Hotel is well located for visiting Hoorn. The room was clean and the staff very friendly and efficient.
But... Don't come here in a car, there is no parking at the hotel and street parking is 3 euros an hour, there is a car park costing just 2.6 euros for the day but it is quite a walk with baggage.
I was in room 26 and the roof in the bathroom slopes over the bath/shower so you have to shower sitting down!!
The final set of stairs look like the North face of the Eiger, heavy bags are a real problem. The lift only goes to the second floor.
So, if you're a three foot tall mountaineer then room 26 is for you. Rooms 21 to 26 are all at the summit of those stairs.
But lovely staff and great Cheesecake in the bar.

I loved my stay at Hotel De Keizerskroon recently. The hotel was conveniently located between the railway station and the town centre with a good variety of nearby bars, shops and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. In particularly I was very impressed by their helpfulness in returning an item of lost property that we accidentally left in our room on check out. As our visit coincided with the Christmas season the hotel was decorated in a delightful way with Christmas lights and ornaments in all the stairwells and communal spaces - they were lovely!

A splendid European boutique hotel in the heart of the Hoorn historic district, with all the amenities one would anticipate. Careful attention given to the smallest detail. Breakfast buffet more than adequate. This was my second multi-day at this hotel in three years, and I was extremely pleased on both occasions

Great place in Hoorn

We had an amazing trip to Hoorn in the Netherlands. Our Hotel was super and the owners could not have been friendlier. If you are going to this area you must see Hoorn and stay here. Shout out!! Great Service directly in Town close to the square where all the activity is.

Good central location but our room on the second floor was small and in the eaves. It was impossible to stand upright to take a shower - I think the bathroom could be laid out in a better way to make it more usable. Breakfast was taken in the adjoining but separately owned and run restaurant and was very average.

The hotel is around 5-10 minute walk from the train station. Receptionist is super nice, but the room is very small for 3 persons. Shower is working fine but the drain is not at the lowest point so water kinda spills everywhere. Bed is comfy and flower on the towel is a nice touch. Breakfast is delicious with bacon, eggs, breads, croissants, cereal, and coffee/tea/juice/milk, your choice. There's a beach nearby, plenty of restaurants. Overall I had pretty good stay.

Great hotel, location was perfect for one night, we wished we could have stayed longer. Hotel was cozy and very clean. Hotel is in the middle of town and walking distance to the port and a nice walk along the water. Breakfast was great and located in a nice cozy room.

Nothing Special here

While the bathroom was upgraded, the room itself was very tired and needed to be updated. No elevator building makes it always more challenging when your hands are full. Breakfast was very average. Parking on the street overnite which is OK since you stop paying the meter at 6 pm til 9 am next day. Nothing special about the stay.

Convenient hotel in middle of town

It was OK but just OK. I go to Hoorn quite often on business and have stayed at a few of the hotels. On positive side this one has a great location on medium side it is generally OK and bed was comfortable. On negative side room was too small for desk - to work I had to sit on the end of the bed as there was no room to fit the chair!

Never here again!!

The hotel staff were very arrogant, we asked to see how much a taxi was. We couldn't even get a answer from them. The manager was very rude. He absolutely had no manners. The area was nice and had a few friendly people. But I would not recommend staying here. We also only had our bedding changed the once whist staying.

I Would Happily Return

I shared a triple room with my two teenagers. The décor at the hotel is charming and the breakfast buffet (included in the room price) was satisfying. I think the hotel is a very good value and would gladly stay there again.

NIce Hotel in the centre

We stayed 1 week along with our pet dog Tess. She is well behaved and was allowed in the restaurant while we had breakfasts and evening meals in the hotel. The staff are excellent and the meals are recommended.

Very satisfied. Evening meal was very good. Hoorn is an attractive location, staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable although quite basic. You don't seem to be able to park right next to the hotel but parking is available in the adjacent street - approx 100 metres away.

Kamer klein, gedateerd, prijzig maar schoon.
De buiten unit van de airco zit vlak achter het raam en geeft constant geluid.
De eigenaar had bij uitchecken geen tijd/aandacht om even te vragen hoe de overnachting was. Ook een fijne dag wensen kon er niet vanaf.

Wij hadden hotel geboekt van zaterdag tot zondag wij hadden kamer 9 straatkant. Hotel is gedateerd met een kleine badkamer maar wel netjes. Veel last van dronken schreeuwende personen tot 04:00 zeer slecht geslapen hierdoor. Ontbijt was optioneel maar erg lekker en uitgebreid.

Das über Expedia gebuchte Zimmer hatte
- im Gegensatz zu den über die Webseite des Hotels - buchbaren Zimmern folgende Mängel:
Es war so klein, dass man nur mit Mühe um das Bett zum Bad gehen konnte. Das Gestell für Koffer konnte daher auch nicht aufgestellt werden. Das Gepäck versperrte dann den Zugang zum Bad.
Es gab keinen Schreibtisch und auch keinen anderen Tisch und für 2 Personen nur einen Stuhl, auf dem war aber noch dazu der Ventilator gestellt. Den PC konnte man nur im Bett benutzen. Das Zimmer der Webseite hatte alle genannten Ausstattungen und auf dem Schreibtisch gab es dort noch eine Kaffeemaschine und einen Wasserkocher mit Kaffee usw. Auch ein Luftfiltergerät und einen Kühlschrank gab es nur auf dem Zimmer der Webseite.
Wenn man das Fenster öffnen wollte musste man - zweit - aufs Bett klettern und über eine hohe Bettrück seitenwand versuchen 2 Bedienelemente zu öffnen.
Dann hörte man allerdings noch lauter den Lärm vom Innenhof sowie laute Brummgeräusche irgendeiner technischen Anlage
Die Vermieterin war völlig unselbstständig und musste ständig telefonisch Ihren Mann - den Vermieter- anrufen.
Der Vermieter war einfach schlimm.
Wir denken, dass die Vergabe von derartigen unterschiedlichen Zimmerqualitäten auch Expedia interessieren könnte.
Hinzu kommt noch, dass das Zimmer über Expedia noch ca. 15 € teurer als über die Webseite des Hotels war.
Wir werden nie wieder das Hotel mit seinen unzugänglichen und unhöflichen Inhabern aufsuchen.

Prima hotel, goede en prettige ontvangst en goed ontbijt. Alleen dat bad in kamer 25 met de bijbehorende bijna onbruikbare douche, dat doet echt afbreuk aan het geheel. Lekker douchen is onmogelijk door de schuine wand. Daardoor kun je niet staan in het bad. In- en uitstappen van dat bad vergt bijna acrobatische behendigheid. Zeker in geval van meerdere nachten verblijf is deze kamer niet aan te raden. Daarbij wil bijna niemand in deze tijd het bad vol laten lopen...

Friendly staff

It's a very simple room. They clean the room every day and replenish the amenities, tea and coffee. We eat breakfast on the kitchen every morning, and staff bring breakfast to the table and I was full. The hotel is close to the train station and bus stop, so it was convenient to go to another city.

Fijn in het centrum. Heel lekker ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel. Nadeel was wel dat onze kamer (de ramen) uitkwamen op het rookhok buiten. Hierdoor was het niet fijn om de ramen open te doen en met een baby best balen (temperatuur op de kamer liep op). De badkamer was ook maar net 3-4 m2, maar prima te doen als je geen baby bij hebt.

Beetje gedateerd kamer heeft een opknapbeurt nodig. Maar men is al begonnen met andere delen van het hotel netjes te maken en dat ziet er goed uit. Komt zeker goed.

Verblijf goed maar ontbijt was summier.

Kamer was netjes .En goed verzorgd.
Alleen het ontbijt was erg karig ..om 9uur was er nog 1plakje kaas .geen yoghurt meer enz iets meer alert zijn bij aanvulling van spullen en beleg .
