I’ve given 5 stars because of the way the receptionist welcomed us and because of her help when I thought I’d lost my room key. It turned out that I didn’t lose it, I’d just misplaced it but she was just brilliant and I would like my comments and thanks passed on to her.

The hotel was so bad that we didn't even get out of the car.
When we arrived after a long drive there were a number of shady looking characters hanging out in the car park and when we arrived one of then paid particular attention to our car and the baggage that we had in side. As a family we did not feel safe there even to the extent that we didn't want to get out of the car to tell the reception staff that we would not be staying there. So we drove straight out and found another hotel with secure parking and generally a better feel about the place.

This is a basic hotel but fine for one night’s stop on a long journey. We have stayed here many times as it is so convenient for motorway, for reasonable priced fuel at the nearby supermarket and restaurants nearby. The bed is fine as is breakfast. You get what you pay for, it is inexpensive.

This is a basic hotel,for the priceyou shouldn’t expect the Ritz. The rooms are clean and comfortable. And most rooms sleep 3. The local town is beautiful and worth a look. Easily accessible from the toll roads and a fantastic stop of place if traveling to the south.

Turned up at about 8.30pm there was still lots of parking. The room was clean and compact and served its purpose and the hotel is located close to the motorway and petrol station so idea for a stop over.

This review needs the context that we visited Chalon-sur-Soane on a road-trip using budget hotels - consequently, my expectations were calibrated at a certain level.
Our stay here was OK. No one died and we didn't lose any property. The hotel however is next to two tower blocks and in an area with lots of kids/youths hanging around.
The room was \"functional\" in its most absolute sense. I've spent enough nights in MOD accommodation to know where the line between functional and institutional is and this was possibly over the border into institutional - puce coloured concrete walls with a bed, a chair and a TV. To be fair, the TV was pretty new.
The breakfast was surprisingly good though but I wouldn't stay here again.

nous aimons bien cet hotel car nous passons souvent a chalon pour descendre dans le sud,mais malheureusement nous avons un problème de parking ,mon épouse a beaucoup de mal a marcher et nous possédons la carte handicapé pour nous garer et à chaque fois que nous y allons,les places handicapées sont occupées par des camionnettes d'ouvriers ,ce qui est anomal ,et l'ai encore fait constater à, la personne de l'accueil ,donc 'envisage de changer d'hotel la prochaine fois ,malgré que sa situation nous convenait

A l'arrivée il ne faut pas être pressé. La réceptionniste a dû mettre 10 minutes a taper sur son ordinateur avant de me donner la carte de ma chambre.
Il y a de la rouille partout dans la cabine de bain. Cela fait vraiment vieux et pas propre. Il faut claquer fortement la porte des chambres pour les fermer réellement j'ai donc passer ma soirée (jusqu'à minuit) samedi soir a entendre les voisins rentrer ou sortir de leurs chambres et même chose dès 7 h du matin.

Un petit coup de stress à l'arrivée, nous avons été ralentis à plusieurs reprises sur la route par des bouchons et impossible de joindre l'accueil téléphonique de l'hôtel pour l'informer de notre potentiel retard. Le numéro indiqué sur le site internet est obsolète. Nous sommes arrivées pour 20h50 et l'accueil était encore ouvert. Ouf ! Mais quelques minutes plus tard, nous dormions dans la voiture. A l'accueil, on nous a dit que le campanille à côté pouvait se substituer en cas de fermeture du bureau mais cette information nous ne l'avons pas eue non plus avant notre arrivée. Chambre standard, hôtel potentiellement engagé contre le réchauffement climatique, chauffage absent le premier jour et très limité le reste de la semaine. Pommeau de douche éco type laveur haute pression, très efficace pour les économies d'eau mais pas du tout agréable sur la peau. Matelas un peu fatiguée dans ma chambre, je sentais tous les ressorts... En bref, je n'ai pas eu de chance durant mon séjour (matelas, douche, chauffage) mais le personnel est très accueillant et le prix très compétitifs !

Das Frühstück war angemessen. Aber die neue ökologische Art, ganze Konfitüre- oder Honiggläser zur Selbstbedienung durch die Gäste am Buffet hinzustellen, ist unhygienisch: natürlich kleben die Gläser nach kurzer Zeit bei den vielen Personen, die sich bedienen. In Zeiten von Corona und Grippe ist das im höchsten Maße eine schmutzige Angelegenheit und kann schnell zu Ansteckungen führen. Die früheren Plastikportionen waren da sauberer und hygienischer (aber ökologisch gesehen umweltbedenklich).

La chambre est au rdc. elle est grande, le lit contre un mur (nous le bougeons un peu pour avoir un espace de chaque coté. Grande douche avec porte coulissante, donc surement utilisée pour des personnes à mobilité réduite.

Très bon accueil, personnel agréable. Un seul bémol : le petit-déjeuner à 7,90 €. Reste 1,5 cm dans le broc à lait ! Pas de récipient pour mettre la confiture et le miel.... Pas de fruits. Pas de pain complet. A ce prix, cela me semble très moyen car d'autres hôtels, à ce prix, ont un petit-déjeuner avec tous ces ingrédients.
