The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The in-room Keurig machine was a nice touch that added to the overall convenience.
Cons:
The room’s decor felt quite gloomy, with dark caramel-coloured walls and heavy brown curtains that made the space feel closed in. Although we had prepaid in advance through Expedia, the owner would not allow us to view the room before check-in, which was very strange and disappointing.
Several advertised amenities were also missing. Laundry facilities listed on their website were not available. The signage out front mentioned a pool and hot tub, they have been closed for some time after reading the previous reviews. The surrounding neighbourhood felt somewhat sketchy, which was a bit unsettling.

Where do I start. The bathroom was nasty. The sink stopper broke. The towels were thin and thread bare. They only gave us one little bar of soap for both bath and hand basin, one bottle of shampoo two bottles of conditioner nobody ever uses conditioner the overall cleanliness was very poor. The sign outside advertises heated pool and sauna when you go into check-in. A sign says heated pool and sauna are out of service until further notice the room is not made up if you’re staying two nights they don’t make up the bed until you leave. You have to go and get new towels and cups and coffee and etc. if you want them There is no ice machine. There’s no microwave in the room. The property itself is on an extremely busy road it’s it caters to workers likely on contract and staying at the cheapest place they can find. The fellow next to us told us that somebody had broken into his car and stolen all his clothes the night before so it’s a rough part of town. I would suggest staying elsewhere

Quick stay on route with motorcycles

Ground floor stay was great- door right outside to our motorcycle . It was clean - excellent shower — decor dated to 70s -Mini size tv - air conditioner and fan in bathroom functional but sounded like a Mack truck … close to some great restaurants and walk on bridge by Fraser River . Price was comparable.

It may be a slightly older building, but it is very well maintained. The room and bathroom decor is dated, which is fine, but very pleasantly clean. And the staff were helpful and nice. The only drawback is it's right on the highway, so is a little noisy. But overall, if you're looking for a good clean place to rest your head at a budget price, and don't mind a little traffic noise and dated decor, this is your place to stay. I highly recommend it. I give it 4.5 stars.

I don't like that they use fabreeze in the rooms to cover smells. There are other products available that do not have a perfumed smell.

For the price, it was good. Traffic at night very noisy. Air conditioner was noisy, and not that effective. We had a suite, and there was no A/C in the other bedroom, and the window screen had a huge hole in it. Breakfast was a bagged meal, and consisted of an apple, a one bite muffin, water, kids juice box, and granola bar. Rooms were clean, and staff was very pleasant.

The room was very clean and the stay was a comfortable one. The manager was very friendly and very helpful. This was greatly appreciated.

It was on the main street so had a lot of traffic but was very quiet at night. The windows could be opened so we had good air for our sleep and woke with no headache which often happens in motel rooms.

The bathroom was very clean but the bath had no stopper which makes it impossible to have a bath (unless one brings ones own supply of stoppers which we do!)

A lot of retired seniors travel and whether a bath or a shower is taken, a grab bar to help enter and get up out of the bath, would be recommended as a safety feature.

We were also grateful for a conventional cable TV, as some of the hotels we stayed at have this new streaming system which doesn't have many of the news channels CBCNN, CNN), Knowledge Network or the aboriginal channel APTN.

We would be happy top stay again in this Travelodge when we are next in Quesnel. Thank you.

Although it’s an older place it was clean and comfortable I had a kitchenette and didn’t need for anything. I stayed with my dad and was happy that I had my own bedroom instead of two queens side by side. My only issue was I didn’t have an air conditioner in my room and it was really hot a couple of days my bedroom window didn’t have a screen. So I couldn’t open it or mosquitoes would come in. It was a little uncomfortable those nights but that’s a first world problem not a real issue. We were on the second floor and there isn’t an elevator the stairs were difficult for my 83 year old dad. But once in was a nice stay and well worth the money I paid

The night latch took considerable effort to lock each night due to a misalignment in the door frame. Also the bathroom door could not be closed due to swelling at the top. The pool, sauna, and free breakfast were all cancelled due to COVID so perhaps all of the websites advertising this motel should mention that! Other Travelodge hotels are serving breakfast again, so why not this one? Staff were friendly and courteous, but the facility left us wanting more.

The location was central and easy to access (situated on a primary route, it can be somewhat noisy)....room was clean and tidy / front desk was friendly and helpful. Last month, we were at a Wyndham in Cranbrook enjoying the pool and breakfast, so when I saw the same being provided in Quesnel, we booked .... no pool / no breakfast ..... this should have been noted in their website.....other than that, we WOULD go back.

The property overall looked dated but the room itself was good, clean and comfortable. Some things I did not like, the noise of the bathroom fan which came on automatically with the light, no drinking glasses other than the carboard coffee mugs, and the fact the shower went cold halfway thro my shower - not fun. Despite those issues, the room was good value.

I booked this hotel last minute for one of my employees to stay at who ran out of driving hours for the day. Paid in full before he got to the hotel.
This hotel refused to allow my employee to stay with them because he did not have a Credit Card for incidentals. Nowhere was it mentioned that the person staying at the hotel would have to provide a credit card for this reason.

After checking my employee's ID the manager of the hotel still refused him and actually threw his ID on the floor and told him to \"get the F&%# out of the hotel now\".

Even in a pinch this hotel was unwilling to help us out and is REFUSING to give us a refund. We DID NOT stay at this hotel and they are still going to keep our money and not refund us.

My guess is they are double booking and trying to make double profits.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS.

Booked about 10 days prior and there was no notification that the pool was to be closed for maintenance during our stay. This was the top selling feature of why I booked at this location. Front desk just shrugged their shoulders as if to say \"not my problem\". They offered to cancel my reservation with no penalty but that did not solve my problem. Also, despite having the \"quietest room in the complex\" (tucked in a corner which was good) the traffic noise from the adjacent highway was very distracting.

The pool was really nice! Was a good size, and even had some depth to it! And really quiet, had it mostly to ourselves the entire time.. Our room was pretty nice too, tho our non-smoking room did smell strongly like someone had just smoked in it, despite being told we were in fact in the non-smoking room by the front desk.

We were just passing through Quesnel, arriving at 8pm and planning to be gone by the morning. We wanted to go down to the river to watch the sunset, and then have a late dinner at the Mr. Mikes downtown. We picked this hotel because it was less than a 5 minute walk from both of those things. This place is certainly an older hotel, and so is the furniture (couch, bed, fridge, etc.). Although it is in impressively good condition and well taken care of despite that fact. Check in was quick and easy, and the man working the front desk was friendly. The price was right for the location and experience, so I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in a Quesnel.

The hotel is on the main road, so if you get a room closer to the road the traffic will keep you up. Besides that the rooms are clean and the staff is great. The continental breakfast is a bit lacking (no eggs/sausages, waffles, etc), but had toast, bagels, yogurt, apples, bananas, cereal, etc. The pool was warm and fun. Overall a good place to stay.
