Staff was fantastic. Was a beautiful & unique hotel. We were greeted with a lemonade and the staff brought our bags up the our room. We had a lovely window overlooking the street and had the best time walking the cute city of Lourmarin. Staff helped us make a dinner reservation at a FABULOUS local restaurant (highly recommend Bouchon) the owner is fantastic and one of the best meals on our trip. Will be coming back again to stay here and continue to explore the area.

Le Moulin is a very clean, well maintained hotel in the beautiful town of Lourmarin nestled in Provence. The jewels in this hotel’s crown are the staff who go out of their way to treat visitors as individuals; they greet you with warmth and are good at getting to know you- your favourite wine, how you take your coffee. Nothing is too much trouble. We slept well every night in the nicely appointed and comfortable room. This was a hotel we were happy to call ‘home’ for the week and I’m sure we will return.

The only thing I can say is I booked a reservation in February for a junior suite via Expedia. When I got there, there was no room and it was sold out. Expedia said the reservation was good. The hotel said they cancelled it. No cancellation was received by myself or Expedia. Both the hotel and Expedia pointed at each other. I had to go stay in the only room available nearby, appr 8'x10', in another hotel. Ruined the trip, which was a wedding. :( Never have had this happen in my travels. And, I travel a LOT.

Beautiful hotel with excellent service

We had a truly wonderful time at Le Moulin - the service was exceptional. A special mention to Christine who was warm, friendly and did everything she could to make our stay special. The interior of the hotel was beautiful and our room was perfect for our week stay - comfortable and spacious. The pool area was lovely and relaxing (perhaps a few more sun beds in the garden would be helpful - late afternoon was busy with people searching for a spot to lay down) we enjoyed wine and lunch by the pool which was delicious.
The location is perfect - in the centre of the village with shops and restaurants a few steps away.
It would be nice for the bar to stay open a little later - we wanted to enjoy a cocktail before bed bit couldn’t order past 10pm this certainly didn’t dampen our experience though. We had a fabulous time :-)

Just excellent - the hotel is wonderful, like a dream and the staff is very kind. We visited with our baby and they provided us a crib and baby bath free of extra charge. And Lourmarin is the best village in the Luberon. We already can’t wait to return to the Moulin and our favorite village.

Wonderful stay!

I made a last minute stop in Loumarin for the wonderful Friday market and stayed for the second time at this wonderful hotel! A welcome drink was enthusiastically served, a hand-written note with cookies waited in my room, and the friendly staff couldn’t have made me feel more at home. I can’t wait to come back!

Incredible stay in the Luberon

Our stay at Moulin de Lourmarin was incredible. The staff was very friendly and gave us very helpful recommendations for us to make the most of our visit of this part of France. The hotel is very beautiful and comfortable, and offers a very typical yet very luxurious experience. I highly recommend it.

First time in Lourmarin, France

This was or first trip to Lourmarin, a very small town near Marseille. We had a difficult time finding the hotel once we got there, because of the confusing small street to drive thru. Parking is free outside of the hotel, or anywhere that you can find. If it’s the latter, be prepared to drop off your bags and then park the car. To get to our room was like driving thru the small streets of the town, a maze to go thru. Didn’t like that, too many steps although there was a lift to get to floor 2. Decor was very old style so if you’re not into Old World decor, expect minimal ambience. However, it was comfortable and clean and loved the sheets. Centrally located, too. Be there on Friday for a great open market not to be missed! Breakfast buffet at 18€ was kinda pricey.

Perfect hotel for home-base in Provence.

Lourmarin is the most beautiful town in Provence. The location was extremely convenient for day trips to other towns in Provence. Moulin de Loumarine was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and there was plenty of storage space. There is no coffee machine in the room which would have been appreciated.he town offers easy street parking near the hotel.

Perfect hotel. We stayed in the suite and it was amazing and a great value. The staff was wonderful, the location amazing and the room lovely. Only minor note would be an iron in the room would be nice and the room ac got cool but not quite as cold as we like it. But would recommend this hotel to anyone!!!! And we will be back!

Beautiful hotel in the centre of the village

Warmly welcomed by the staff and shown to our room. The Hotel amenities were all explained to us in perfect english. The room was nicely furnished and very clean.
The location of the Hotel was perfect since we only had to walk out of the door to be in the heart of the village.
The breakfasts were well presented and we were extremely well looked after by our waitress in the Hotel.

Wonderful and relaxing

Hotel Moulin de Lourmarin is wonderful in every way. The staff was very welcoming and attentive throughout my stay. My room was quite spacious and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was great with a nice deep tub to relax in after Exp,or if the Luberon and Vauclause countryside in the warm Provence sunshine.
The village of Lourmarin is truly delightful and full of local charm.

Floating on a cloud

The town of Lourmarin is in itself totally delightful, as are those who provide services in the shops and restaurants. However the Moulin hotel even surpassed the experience of the village. It is perfection. Often when traveling one puts up with beds and pillows that don't provide a good night's rest. Not the Moulin - sleeping in those beds is like floating on a cloud. Heavenly. But a word of warning - don't lay down on them for a minute or two- you might miss your next meeting!

The restaurant - either indoor or outdoor- is also perfection as are the waiters. Could not have been more charming or helpful.

Parking right outside on the town perimeter, depending on availability But even if you need to drive toward the Chateau to park, it is still within comfortable walking distance on an easy path.

I would return at the drop of a hat.

View of the castle in Lourmarin

We spent three nights getting off of jet lag and couldn't have made a better choice. We had a large corner suite looking at the Renaissance castle. Breakfasts were buffet and very good. We had dinner one night in the restaurant which was delicious and excellent service. In all I would highly recommend it and the lovely village of Lourmarin.

Delightful hotel in the centre of town

Lovely hotel, well positioned with big spacious rooms.

We had a lovely time here and we're well looked after though room service was not offered which was a pity.

Everyone from the receptionist (very kind) to the ladies who cleaned our room - very friendly and helpful made our visit a pleasure.

Very good food in the restaurant. The only drawback was the lack of parking.

A Beautiful place to stay in a lovely village

Check in and check out was quick.The reception staff were friendly and helpful, spoke good English, especially the lady who worked in the afternoon ( Sandrio?) who was always cheerful and she helped us to plan the visit to the close by villages and suggested few nice places.
The room was large with nice view and was clean with a separate toilet.
Overall its a lovely hotel in a great location.

Under expectation hotel.

I think this hotel has nice architecture in old house. Unfortunately the staff is not really welcome, and teh room needs to have more comfort if they are pretending to be 4 stars.
On the room no safety box, a small TV format, plastic wall hairdryer, bathrooms with just minimum shampoo, and body wash liquid only, towel second hand model...On the breakfast room no newspaper.. It s missing generous service.

Map quest took us through the narrow streets to get to the hotel which is easy to get to on the main road. Make sure to be mindful of the hotel code needed after the reception desk closes. Rooms are small and bathroom showers are challenging-like most French hotels. One bedroom window-no place to hang French laundry. Easy walking distance because you are in town . Don't blink you may miss the town it is a VERY SMALL village- pretty but too quaint-just a few restaurants to choose from. NO iNTERNET in rooms so it was impossible to plan your next day and check emails and do research. Hotel computer information only in French. Breakfast was good. Main spaces were lovely- it was hot when we were there-wished for a pool and bike rentals -hotel 2 blocks away had a pool/spa and bikes-needed better information for hiking

Proper Provence in a delightful village

This lovely hotel and restaurant offers real Provence to its fortunate visitors. No, there isn't wifi in the bedrooms, yes, you may have to park a few hundred meters away, but the good Provencal villages are never car friendly. But yes, you get a lovely light room, decorated in simple Provencal style, all in very good taste, and air conditioned. The staff are very friendly and helpful (let's just say they dealt with a very sick dog with charm, solicitude and grace !); the communal rooms are quiet and relaxing and the village itself is full of lovely shops, antique dealers , restaurants and cafes to explore. The real winner at the Moulin de Lourmarin is its terrace restaurant. For years it was a 2 Michelin star extravaganza , the sort of place one went for a very special occasion. But with a new chef in tow, the atmosphere and the menu have lightened up. The food is delicious - fresh, informed and inventive without trying too hard for originality. The price and the quality are excellent. U had a delicious grilled sea bass, a fresh summer concoction of courgette flowers and a light herb cheese, a crab and fennel remoulade and peach tart tat in. On my second night (why go elsewhere ?) i coveted my neighbours' grilled lobster ....

France needs more places like this. Places like this are dying out in favour of boutique hotels with chichi restaurants offering fusion food and star anise. This place is the real thing.

Unforgettable stay in a charming and cozy hotel

Our visit to Lourmarin a few weeks ago was really a success staying at the Moulin De Lourmarin! Their attention to detail and friendliness was exceptional. We were warmly welcomed and brought to our room by the person in charge of the front desk. Loved the spacious room, view to the Château De Lourmarin from our window, and the hotel setting in general. We enjoyed breakfast al fresco, as well as a delicious dinner in their restaurant. We look forward for our next stay at this property!

Nice hotel

The hotel is nice, but no wifi - at least in our room. Service isn't great (the lady that checked us is was friendly, but not the male on evening duty). The town is tiny, and the hotel's location is great! The bath products didn't smell great, but the bathroom was quite nice.

A comfortable hotel in a beautiful village

We loved the village of Lourmarin. The hotel was quite comfortable, although you should be aware that some of the rooms have quite a long distance and lots of steps. Some of the rooms are in a separate, but connected building across a small street that you get to via an overpass. The main building is a converted olive mill, with some of the moulins still in the dining room. Because of the setup of the rooms, the only wifi is in the main reception area, not as convenient as in your own room, but a very comfortable, relaxing setting nevertheless. The reception folks were quite helpful, and the entire place is quite clean.... just lovely place to spend a night or two.

Needs Feng Shui consultation to imake the dining area inviting as does the Hotel itself. Dreadful artwork not in keeping with the building. Very pleasant staff. Steps make access difficult for handicapped visitors.
