His suggestion on things to do etc was good. Hotel is in a nice location and was our stop on our way to Jabel Sams and Jabel Akdad . I would definitely recommend this hotel

We had an amazing time. We booked two 2 beds app as a gtoup of eight and had a warm welcome from the start. The owners were even so involved and made sure we got the maximum out of our stay. 10 stars. Rented an entire apartment for the night with my mate. ABSOLUTELY STAY HERE if you are considering going through Nizwa! Staff was super accommodating. The manager took time to chat with us, make us feel very welcomed and provided some recommendations for the area. Parking was easy and plentiful. The location is a bit removed from downtown, roughly 17 minutes, but that is fine if you have a car. Zero issues or complaints. Would absolutely stay again

Really nice apartment style Hotel to stay at. We enjoyed the stay here. It was very roomy and spacious. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful when we needed things like extra Waters or towels. All I would say is that it would help if they invested in some new beds to make them more comfortable as well as new pillows but that's just feedback to help them improve.

An excellent choice for your stay in Nizwa!

On our arrival, we were greeted by the owner, Anu. We were shown a lovely apartment with lounge and kitchen on the 3rd floor. It would be home for 2 nights.
When asked, Anu, kindly shared many recommendations for restaurants and sites to see. They proved very helpful especially on our trip to Jebel Shams.

The hotel is beautiful, simple yet elegant with plenty of attention to cleanliness and detail. The rooms are spacious and sunny, offering superb views of the dramatic mountains and desert nearby. The setting is perfect for families and those who want to travel comfortably. And while the property itself is immaculately kept, it is the hospitality that stands out most. This is a very clean and nice apartment hotel. Anu, the manage, goes out of his way to help and he is ver resourceful, if you have any questions about the area. The location is a bit out 10-15 minutes drive from the fort but was worth it for us. I would come back here next time I visit the area.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for a night. We were warmly greeted by Mr. Anupam Mathur. The check-in was smooth and the room given to us was extremely comfortable. All the amenities had been provided and we haven't received such warm hospitality in a long time. Mr. Mathur treated us like royalty and we highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed here 2 nights in a 2 bedroom. It was quiet and comfortable and very clean with great sheets and good towels. Easy to control the AC for each room. Amazing water pressure on the showers with quite ample hot water. Well stocked kitchen with some waters to. We actually got to enjoy the buffet dinner one evening which was tasty with variety. Grilled Chicken and mutton , a veggie curry, biryani rice, yummy yummy homemade chicken soup clearly made with bones as it was thick and delicious. Great salad bar etc. The staff were so hospitable greeting us at our car, carrying our luggage up to the room and checking us in efficiently. . We had a schedule delays getting to the hotel on check in day and they communicated very clearly that all was ok with our reservation
They offered great suggestions for activities and restaurants. Definitely enjoy the food and the scene at Al Marshef ( nearby and recommended by Anu the manager). arranged a driver to take us up for fun half day trip into the Al Hagar mountains- did couple cool side hikes and then enjoyed a sunset -this is true hospitality! It’s only about 10 min drive to city center but if you have a car - easy free parking. Grocery and ATM near by. Highly recommend this place for the friendly nurturing hospitality.

A delightful experience

I had a great experience. The hotel is just off a roundabout on a main road, and very easy to find. The staff had my booking and room ready when I arrived, and expedited my check-in. I had just come from a few days of camping and all I wanted was a warm shower, so this nice touch was very appreciated. The room was very clean, with good wi-fi, satellite television, and a lot of space to stretch out and relax. The staff was tremendously courteous and most helpful with directions and recommendations. For me this was recommendations about good food, as well as contacts within the Nizwa souq for easy shopping.

I would recommend this to anyone without reservation.

Let me start by saying I don't usually leave reviews, but this property and manager/staff was first class. Anu, the property manager, came out and greeted us apon arrival and made us feel welcomed. His staff prepared the room as we checked in, ie sanitized, turned on water heater and ac and took our luggage up. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Anu also gave us some recommendations like a Turkish restaurant to eat, who to deal with at the Nizwa souq and more. We enjoyed our stay so much we even went back and stayed another night. Three nights total, great experience. Again Anu knows his job very well and his experience shows. Thank you Anu and staff, we'll always remember your hotel and time spent there.

The Niswa Hotel Apartnents was very comfortable and conveniently located on the new part of the city, close to the road to Jebel Shams and Misfat Al Abriyeen. Amazing staff and fantastic value!

We stayed for a night as a family of four and the experience was top-notch. The staff, led by the Hotel manager (Mr. Anu) -- are reflective of what hospitality should be- warm, friendly and going the extra step to make sure you have a comfortable stay.
The rooms are very clean and the views from the room are amazing. If you get one of the room facing west, the sunset views can be gorgeous. The location is slightly on the outskirts, which is actually a good thing. It is a 15 min drive into the main city.

Overall, we had a great time and would highly recomend this place.

This is where you want to stay in Nizwa

We have stayed in hotels all over the world and never received the kind of personal attention we experienced at Nizwa Hotel Apartments. First off, our 2 bedroom apartment was about 350 square meters in size with 2 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen and living room. Everything was spotless throughout our stay.

We arrived by Mwasalat bus from Muscat and if you come by bus be sure to tell them when you purchase your bus ticket where you are staying. There are 2 routes into Nizwa and only certain buses use the road by the hotel. If you take the right bus they'll drop you right out in front. Since we didn't have a car we hoped to find a driver with a 4 wheel drive to visit the sights.

Immediately on arrival we were greeted by Anu, the general manager. He told us not to worry and immediately arranged a guide for that afternoon. As it turned out, we used the guide for 2 half days and 1 full day and couldn't have been happier with the service and the price.

Over the three days and 2 nights we stayed we got to spend a fair amount of time talking with and getting to know Anu. A nicer, more generous, and helpful individual would be almost impossible to find. He is someone we hope to see again.

The only place to stay in Nizwa...

This accommodation was much, much better than could reasonably have been expected for the price. OK, it wasn't luxurious, but the appartment was modern, comfortable and comprehensively equipped.

But what made it really exceptional was the 'can do' attitude of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. In particular, the manager, Anu, was extraordinary - I've only come across managers such as Anu in the very best 5 star hotels. He greets guests personally, shows you to the appartment and is constantly on hand to offer help and advice. He is clearly on top of everything and runs the hotel impeccably.

The hotel is situated about 10 minutes drive from the centre of Nizwa, and only 5 minutes from an excellent supermarket (LuLu) that puts all UK supermarkets to shame. If you want to eat out, ask Anu about the excellent Turkish restaurant a few minutes down the road...

The hotel staff were good. However, this hotel is not suggested. The bathroom smells of raw sewage and the hotel is very dated. I've encountered this before in the the middle east. I assume faulty plumbing. Regardless, it is vile. Although not extremely expensive, the price should guarantee a clean and sewage-free accomodation.

Incredible Hospitality

I visited 3 Middle East countries. Oman clearly became #1 of the 3. This was greatly due to the beautiful hospitality offered by Anu, the general manager, and his wonderful staff. Every detail was attended to, including assistance with luggage from our vehicle, escort to our room, and very helpful travel information for local sights of interest. If it wasn't for Anu, we would have missed the Friday cattle market. That alone was worth our stay at the Nizwa Hotel Apartments. As for the rooms themselves, we were more than satisfied with the spaciousness and cleanliness. Our only regret is that we could not have stayed longer.

Hotel staff is extremely helpful, particularly the general manager, Anu, who understands the meaning of the term customer service to an extent that's awfully hard to find these days. The hotel has modern amenities including well functioning A/C, a full refrigerator and kitchen, clean, comfortable beds, and fast WiFi. Hotel staff arranged all excursions for me, including to Jebel Shams, Jebel al Akhdar, Nizwa, and Bahla. Although I enjoyed my stay and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, my main critique of this property is location - simply put, it's far from everything. One needs to drive to Nizwa Fort, Bahla, Jebel al Akhdar, Jebel Shams, etc. If you rent a car, this is no problem, but if not then hiring a driver can become very expensive.

Great service by general manager. We enjoyed the time in Nizwa. Such a huge room with amazing kitchen. Very safe place to stay. Outside was abit noisy so I used my earplug at night. The curtain couldn't shut down the brightness when sunrise.(Yeah, I slept til noon) Great arrangement by hotel for the Jebel Akhbar tour. Supermarket was super big so pretty much everything that we wanted. Thanks for the great service.

Clean hotel with friendly service

I stayed at the hotel for 1 night during our recent Oman holiday with my wife and 2-year old son.

Highlights:
- The hotel is in a good location, it's easy to find and is about 10 minutes away from the Nizwa Grand Mall.
- Staffs made sure the room was ready before we checked in: the AC was turned on and I think they sprayed air freshener, which was appreciated.
- The room was clean and had basic amenities we needed. There were AC in each of the room in the apartment: bedroom, dining room, TV room, and even in the kitchen!
- The kitchen was stocked with plates, cups, cutleries, oven, microwave, etc. We didn't really have to leave the room after we checked in, which was good.
- Mr. Anu was very helpful and provided us suggestions, maps, and driving directions.

Things that can be improved:
- The main bathroom is fine, but the smaller bathroom outside the room has some musty smell and we didn't use it.
- The lighting can be improved in the reception, room hallways, and in the room itself. I'm not sure if it was the lack of natural light or something else, but we felt the hotel had a somber feeling.

Exceeding Expectations in Nizwa

Expectations are everything. Nizwa Hotel apartments exceeded them handily. The pros:

1. Service. An incredibly engaging and helpful manager, and that attitude present in all the staff. Made us feel very welcome, offered very helpful local tips, and made the difference in our stay. Without this, it would have been a fair, good value stay. Considering the service and attention, it was exceptional.

2. BIG Apartment. Bedroom, Small Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room, 1.5 bathrooms. Very clean. Bed comfortable. Great AC and Wifi.

Location: Not in center. BUT, if you are going to Nizwa, chances are you are driving. So staying 10 minutes outside was great - easy to get in, great access for sights around Nizwa - Jebel Akhdar, Jebel Shams, Bahla, Jabrin etc. Plenty of free parking nearby. For us, preferable to having to go back to centre of Nizwa after a long day of touring and fighting local traffic. Food wise, we got great recommendations for places within 5 mins drive.

Conclusion: Excellent choice when exploring Nizwa and region, and having a car at disposal. Highly recommended from a very experienced traveler.

More Affordable Option in Nizwa Vicinity

This hotel is on the dusty outskirts of Nizwa, and represented a good value compared to the other options. The check-in staff were a bit odd, but the check-out staff were very friendly and pleasant, and we loved the affordable breakfast at the restaurant next to the lobby.

The room itself was massive, but there were just a few details that made the experience less than stellar. Since you are staying in an apartment, there are two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms had a strong smell of sewer coming from the drains, and the staff sprayed the entire apartment with an obnoxious air freshener to mask the smell immediately before we walked into the room for the first time. The second bathroom smelled fine, we just closed the door to the first one and didn't use it.

The staff pointed out a couple of things in the room to us, but failed to mention that the hot water heaters need to be turned on with a switch about 30 minutes before showering - good info to know!

All in all, the hotel and room was pleasant (as long as we kept the door to the first bathroom shut) and it served our needs for one night well. Given the price compared to the other options, I would definitely stay there again. It's not perfect, but you're in the desert of Oman! It's supposed to be a bit of an adventure! :-)

Excellent one night stay. Family rooms were spacious, location was good, staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. They helped us organise a trip to Jebel Shams and communicated very well.
Would certainly recommend the hotel to families or couples.
Not too much to do in immediate proximity, but there is a supermarket reasonably close, and it is about a 15 minute drive to Nizwa.

I stayed at Nizwa Hotel Apartments for 2 nights in November 2014. The property is located about 10 minutes from the main Nizwa shopping mall and 15-20 minutes from the fort and souq depending on traffic. Access from Muscat was easy and the roads in the area are in good condition.

The staff was very friendly and let me check in a few hours early. It appeared that many of the guests were business people for the construction industry and the property had more of an extended stay apartment feel than a hotel feel.

The rooms were large and very clean with good air conditioning. My only complaint (and reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is the confusing electricity situation. EVERYTHING in the room from individual power outlets, appliances, and even water heaters is controlled by an individual and unlabeled light switch. That's right - in order to take a hot shower you must figure out which switch controls the water heater, turn it on, and let it warm up before having access to hot water. The room didn't include a guide or any form of labeling so it took some trial and error to figure out how everything worked.

Hôtel correcte mais voiture necessaire

Hôtel correcte... Bien indonorisé et propre...
Manque juste une piscine qui à priori est prévue pour l'année prochaine selon le gérant...
Nous avons été surclassé à notre arrivée dans une Suite avec 2 chambres et 2 salles de bain alors que nous voyagions à 2!
Un peu excentré de la ville, voiture nécessaire...

Hotel propre, chambres spacieuses, accueil chaleureux, personnel aux petits soins... je recommande vivement. Idéal en famille.

Correct

Etablissement excentré. Les appartements sont spacieux et bien équipés. Il est compliqué de bien dormir car c’est mal insonorisé et il y a de nombreuses routes avec beaucoup de circulation qui entourent l’hôtel.
Pas de restaurant à proximité,mieux vaut avoir un véhicule.
Gros bemol sur les horaires du petit-dejeuner ouvert uniquement de 7 h à 9 h. C’est vraiment trop tôt.
Le manager est vraiment très gentil et serviable.

Une bonne étape à Nizwa

Très bon séjour à Nizwa pour visiter les environs, appartement propre et confortable et surtout les bons conseils du manager et surtout sa gentillesse

Prima verblijf

Prima appartement. Ontbijtbuffet was niet mogelijk, maar door de goede uitrusting van het appartement geen probleem. Kwestie van even zelf boodschappen doen. Is ook leuk.
