Loved every minute

It was an amazing experience to stay there. Centrally located it’s in walking distance to most sites we wanted to visit as well as very close to bus and train station. Only place we ever took a taxi to was el Cristo del Ortero. Registration personnel was super nice and sweet as said they would love to visit us in the Pueblo next year. I was scared they would charge us for using the elevator so much but of course they didn’t. Oh they only turn the air conditioning on when it gets really hot but we opened the windows and it was fine. On our last night they did turn the air on upon request but we had to ask them to turn it off after a little while. Well I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Super hotel near train station and 8 mins from cathedral. Only problem is the parking on site as access is by a lift. My Lexus 1s 250 just got in with about 2 inches either side. Breakfast was good. Would recommend .

Eurostars has been my hotel favorite in a life of travel in Spain during my early retirement. I was impressed again. Perhaps in part due to a relaxing atmosphere of Palencia factored into things but there is a feeling of peace and organization in this hotel. Price to quality was outstanding and the breakfast buffet a winner. The staff is professional and friendly. It’s a little tricky if your walking from the train or bus station as you go under the tracks and then up but play it safe and go to the next intercession to cross even though you will be tempted earlier. It’s a five minute walk- why not make it six and arrive safely? Then again there is a taxi stand right there between the bus and train stations and a rental car agent there. It’s a convenient place for a traveler either way. I like the spacious balcony with a wood table and chairs that gave it a homey feeling. My room had a tub if you like them. The restaurant is closed still but you can get a thing or two in the mini bar and spirits/coffee near where you check in. I was in a single room near the elevator and never hear the elevator or much noise at all.

The toilet flush didn't work in the room. The room was changed and upgraded, no problem. The new room was lovely, but the TV didn't work Well you can't have everything in this life. Al least we're not in Ukraine trying to have a hotel break!

Highly disappointed!

I was disappointed with this hotel. We tried to cancel one of the rooms with ample time and accommodate the third traveler in a double room. The hotel was seemingly empty, but we were told there was no possible way to reassign our room in order to fit in the third person.
While the bed was comfortable, there was an overwhelming smell of smoke (and we had requested non-smoking!); no tissues in the room, no coffee either, and no disinfectant gel in the room during the pandemic. Skin and bones, literally! For a four-star hotel, it felt more like a three or even two star hotel. It was also not possible to control the temperature in the room. Finally, although staff was not rude, there was no courtesy upon our check-out either. Highly disappointed and we won't stay at this hotel again!

Nice for stay for business. I never parked in the garage because it seemed like a hassle to get in and out of it, as you have to take a car elevator. However, it was very easy to park on the street within a block behind the hotel. Area is very safe and a super market is about a 100 yards away. Very clean, helpful staff, and the AC worked great.

Excellent hotel within walking distance of the town. If you have a vehicle as we did you have to use the lift, ensure it's working as we had bikes in the underground car park and needed to get to the ferry, an hour later the engineer had fixed it but give yourself time.

Not so good. No parking available at 17.30hrs on Monday afternoon, so had to drive away and look for alternative parking. First room given was large and comfortable, but had three flags held by metal links on to poles just outside windows, so continuous rattling noise. Second room given on top floor with balcony, but bed not comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Location on main road, also near busy railway line, so would not recommend rooms at front of hotel, and definitely not first floor because of flags and traffic and rail noise.

I think the pictures do not show how nice this hotel really is. It is a bargain considering what you get for your money. It is extremely clean and quiet. It offers a great buffet breakfast. It is located at walking distance from all the places of interest in the city: You can reach the train station or the Calle Mayor in 3-5 minutes. Great deal for your money.

The young lady receptionists and the young male waiter in the restaurant were exceptional in terms of friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism. Only a short walk to city centre but has an inexpensive cafeteria and bar on site. Good breakfast and overall a very good hotel.

Good central location, with easy access to city centre by foot. Seek guidance from excellent hotel staff members for suitable restaurants if eating out. If a 'quiet time' is on your agenda plan to arrive mid-Sunday afternoon - the city is the equivalent of a 'ghost town' before coming to life again around 19.30.
Comfortable and clean hotel, extremely competent and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

The hotel itself is fine, but the room was very small. Not even a chair or a desk. Basically, just a bed, although the bathroom was not that cramped, and the general decor and cleanliness was fine. The hotel is close to the train station, so the location is OK. The breakfast was, on the whole, fine, even if some items could be a bit fresher. The staff was not bad, but nothing special. This was the least appealing of the 5 hotels I stayed during this trip, but it was not that bad--just below what I am used to, esp. for a 4 star hotel.

My stay was pleasant however when we arrived the car park was full so we had to park a 10 minute walk away. There was no mention of this on the web when i booked. If i was on holiday its no problem but when on a business trip time is precious.
Also on the net i booked a double bed and ended up in a single.

We used this as a stopover on way through to Santander from Portugal. Convenient location near the city train station and the city centre. Limited hotel communal facilities but not a problem for us as we like to go out and explore and find new restaurants. Didn't use the onsite car park as fully booked. But there is safe on street parking within 100m.

Good stopover hotel.

A decent, modern hotel which served its function well, being 2 hrs from the early evening arrival of the Santander ferry, and a lovely town in which to stopover on the journey south. Quiet location across the railway track from the main town, but no problem to walk across through the underpass to find restaurants etc. Private parking very tight in the lift down to the small car park but just managed it in a 4x4. Nice modern bathroom in the room. The only complaint was the bed mattress, very thin and not very comfy.

The Hotel was very modern and clean.

However, it should make it clear on the website it is difficult to access their car park as it is by lift from street level. Only a medium size car would fit into the lift so the alternative is to park at the back of the hotel in a residential street.

Their website should also say the restaurant and bar are not open on a Sunday evening. After a long car drive you do not want to have to go and find a restaurant.

Unfortnately, the hotel did not meet our expectations for convenience when we arrived although the breakfast faclites were fine.

A notre arrivée l enregistrement de la réservation n était pas faite, le parking est déconseillé par l hôtes d accueil car compliqué, donc obligé de trouver une place dans la rue.
A minuit nous avons reçu deux coups de téléphone du standardiste...une erreur, et pour finir alors que les petits déjeuners étaient prévus et payés, a notre sortie a l'acceuil la standardiste a essayée de nous les faire payer....

Anuncian estacionamiento y la verdad es de risa el tener que dejar el coche ahí, está imposible y no hay ningún Parquing techado cerca.
Es increíble que un hotel de 4 estrellas no te ofrezcan al menos una botella de agua por parte del hotel. Si quieres agua tiene que ser con cargo del servibar. El trato de la gerente del hotel fatal, el resto del personal muy bien. Quedé muy decepcionado del hotel Eurostar en Palencia.

Mucho calor en la habitación, cuando llegamos marcaba 28 grados. No podias manipular el termostato, por lo que llame a recepción y lo ajustaron desde ahi a 22 grados. Aun asi e incluso durmiendo con la ventana abierta mucho calor. Por lo demás todo perfecto.

La habitación sencilla era un poco pequeña y oscura, aunque estaba bien. Echo en falta un enchufe libre al lado de la cama para no desconectar la lámpara al cargar el móvil. Con las nuevas normas de eficiencia energética pasé un poco de frio para estar trabajando en la habitación.

Al hacer el check-in pongo de manifiesto que además de la reserva de hab. Individual tengo otra que amplia en dos noches la estancia, algo que también había dicho por escrito en la aplicación. A los diez minutos me telefonean a la habitación para decirme que tengo que cambiar de habitación a la mañana siguiente pues la reserva ampliada de dos noches es de una habitación doble mientras que la habitación en la que acabo de entrar es individual.Sugiero que puedo cambiarme ya a la doble y pagar la diferencia y así estar tres noches en la misma habitación sin me-sudad de cambiar pero no hay forma, me tengo que cambiar sí o sí porque es la que tengo reservada. Insisto en pagar la diferencia o en buscar una solución e incluso sugiero quedarme en la individual. Pero es tan surrealista que cuando pregunto a qué hora me tengo que cambiar por la mañana me dicen que a cualquiera porque hay habitaciones libres.
