Booked this hotel to travel to Burgos to attend Dance World Cup Finals - about 45 mins drive on the motorway. Not a luxury hotel and it’s clean and good bathrooms.

Except reception, no other staff spoke English but you can get by. Google Translate came in handy. The hotel turns off the A/C everyday from 1.30 AM till 3.30 PM. First time been in a hotel where the hotel control the A/C in rooms! Have mini fridges in rooms.

Restaurant - buffet breakfast with fried eggs and bacon as hot food. Same options everyday. Charge Eur 14/person and not worth it. Lunch and dinner menu varies but nothing exceptional. We drove to Palencia for dinner since there’s a good choice there.

Pool - communal and just 2 mins walk. Hotel takes an Eur 10 refundable deposit for fob need to enter pool premises. Have a kids pool as well and there’s green area (sun and shaded) around the pool. Dont forget to ask for pool towels from hotel.

Gym - on the 4th floor. Ask reception to open. Have some cardio machines and a weight resistance machine. Good for a hotel like this. Has sauna as well though we didn’t use.

Good hotel for an overnight stop

We booked as an overnight stop on a long drive so we were grateful for a good room and an easy location not far from the main route we were travelling. We were grateful to find a good hotel that was dog friendly as we were travelling with our Cocker Spaniel. The room was a little worn in places but otherwise a very good stay. Good value for an overnight stop.

Although it is dog friendly, if you have a dog you cannot use the hotel facilities. Your dog is only allowed in reception and your room.
There is no where you can use the dining facilities or have breakfast if you have a dog with you.
There is no where near the hotel that you can eat or purchase food and drinks.
There are no coffee or tea making facilities in the room.

The hotel is well located for travelling down through Spain. The reception and rooms are excellent. The staff are very helpful.
We have stayed 3 times as the hotel is dog friendly. However, you can only take your dog to and from the room. We therefore are unable to have an evening meal or breakfast at the hotel. We are not aware of any local places.
The hotel is big enough and has enough outside space where they could have a pet friendly area to enable people with pets to have breakfast or an evening meal, however, they do not offer this facility.

From a distance the hotel looked rather motel like from its neon yellow HOTEL sign, but when you arrive, you see it fronted with a beautifully kept garden with lush trees hung with lights and a perfectly manicured lawn
The reception and lounge area is equally tastefully, traditionally furnished
The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds, quiet and nice views
The area is a quiet hamlet and seems safe
There is both outdoor and an indoor locked car park
Supper was a delightful affair on the lawn, a delicious salad served with a smile and very attentive waiters

New, business-style hotel just off the main highway, well outside of Palencia, at the edge of a new suburban development. Very standard 4-star property; comfortable, well-maintained, large room; lots of parking around the hotel; acceptable dining room (no nearby restaurants). Convenient for a stopover.

The location is excellent, just one minute from the highway. The hotel is beautiful both from the outside as from the inside hall. The room was nice and big, including a fridge. The restaurant is nice and the food is good for a very reasonable price. Pity that the staff in the restaurant has no knowledge of other languages (for example French or English)

Our standing. 4* hotel. Excellent food at extremely reasonable prices, eg Three course diner with a bottle of wine,1 litre of mineral water, bread etc included, for two persons, was just €18 each. Buffet breakfast was €9 and well-equipped room rate just €55. Would definitely stay again.

On this occasion the hotel was very busy due to coach trips staying overnight It appears to be popular with coaches . We still got a nice room with balcony. Evening meals are very good value and the food is excellent as was the service despite the number of customers.

Spanish Deseret Oasis

Great hotel, just off the motorway and very easy to find. We were driving from Lisbon to France and this was a perfect place to break the journey. After a long, hot drive, the chance to use the nearby pool was very welcome and a great way to unwind.
As a group of five, we had two adjoining rooms. Ours was actually a suite of two rooms with a seating area and lobby, very convenient for our injured dog (he had been attacked in Portugal.)
The Receptionist was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English, restaurant staff were efficient. The restaurant did not open until 8:30pm (on Spanish time!) but this easily allowed time for a swim and shower before dinner. The menu was not exciting, but the food was cooked well and catered to most tastes. Local wine was delicious! Breakfast was a buffet, with plenty of choice for everyone and included freshly cooked Spanish omelette and excellent coffee and orange juice.
Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again if driving across Spain!

Good clean down to earth hotel

We have an Apartment in Algarve & go down every year by car because we have a dog. Europa is a great stopover close to motorway, but in a residential area & rural enough to be quiet - and only 2 hours from the Ferry at Santander. We have stayed in the hotel on 6 occasions (to and from Algarve) and find it very convenient and the price is right. Great breakfasts. It is definately comfortable enough for more than a stopover if you are exploring the area.

We found the staff unwilling to compromise with regard to our pets access to the bar area or outside terrace, after travelling for 9 hours. The only place available was in the room, the car park or back in the car. We asked if it was possible to take a drink outside so we could give our dogs some fresh air, and for us to have a well earned drink and we were told no it's not allowed. So our advice to anyone travelling with pets is, don't use this hotel because it is not pet FRIENDLY.

A great place to stop after the Portsmouth ferry.

Very friendly staff and attractive foyer - the prices are very reasonable at the bar too!

The room was clean and comfortable, although no tea or coffee in the room. Maybe the fittings are showing signs of wear, but I would certainly return if in the area.

Excellent hotel. We were traveling with a 11 week old puppy. There was an additional charge of 10 euros per night for the puppy. The hotel security was very friendly and happily opened the main doors when the puppy needed to go out at 2 am and 4 am. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling with or without a pet.

Second time here with dogs. Great access off motorway down to Portugal. Staff overwhelmingly friendly, helpful and hardworking. Secure parking and places to walk dogs. Choice of snack meal at bar or restaurant meal. Good wine.Nothing else in neighbourhood, but all you need for overnight stay. They deserve more customers. We will stay again.

Pleasant Clean hotel 2.5 hours from Santander

Arrived at 1715 in Santander via Brittany Ferries. Got to the hotel in a comfortable 2.5 - 3 hours just before it got dark (UK Summer time). Friendly Spanish & English speaking Reception & Dining room staff. Lovely decor & clean spacey rooms with a complimentary bottle of water each in the mini fridge. Our well behaved & house trained Staffordshire dog was welcomed & only cost an extra 10 euros for the night. Hotel in lovely quiet rural environment with parking. Highly recommended as a 1st night stopover if you come from UK via Brittany Ferries - and good stopover on way back.

Great stop over

Stayed on the way down from Santander to Algarve with 2 dogs. Very easy to find straight off motorway. Nothing surrounding the hotel if you want to go out but the restaurant and bar were great. Generous size drinks ,well priced wine and food. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also well worth it and kept us happy for the remaining 7 hours to Algarve. Plenty of parking and taking dogs was a bonus.

An excellent,convenient hotel for an overnight stay going to or from the ferries at Bilbao and Santander. Very good value rooms and a restaurant which opens at convenient times and serves good food and wine at reasonable prices. The staff are pleasant and very helpful plus many speak a good amount of English and French if your Spanish is limited. A minor negative is the bedroom air conditioning is difficult to control but the big picture windows open and so provide a solution. We have used it often.

We were recommended this hotel by a friend on the ferry coming over to Santander as we were looking for somewhere a couple of hours away from Santander on the way driving to Portugal..This hotel ticked all the boxes especially as we have two small dogs with us and we were charged a meagre ten euros a dog .Made very welcome and there's a good walk down the road for the dogs next to fields.easy to get to using my satnav.a good breakfast the next morning to allow us to do a good four hours of our journey.have booked for the return journey.bed and breakfast two dogs and a better than average dinner just 100€ for the two of us including the dog supplement,excellent value for above average ,well priced hotel .would totally recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is perfectly situated being just off the main routes North/South in Spain and from Santander. It is not on the motor route which is good as it is quieter. We only stayed over night, the bar food/service was very good, large, airy, clean reception area. Ample parking, did not get the opportunity to sample the leisure facilities as we had to leave early the next morning to avoid the heat. Only complaint was not being able to have a quick coffee/pastry before leaving. I had paid for breakfast but needed to leave by 7 am. The hotel had put on an early breakfast for a coach leaving at a similar time. Maybe a self service coffee machine could be available and a request for a few pastries could be serviced by the night staff on the reception since it is definitely a travellers hotel?

Ideal overnight stop

We arrived en route to southern Spain for one night with our dog. Despite a wedding party about to begin the staff were great, the speed with which they produced our key and got us to our room was amazing. We asked to change to a double room from a twin and this was organised without any fuss. We were able to park in the underground garage as we had a car full of personal items. The food was average but breakfast was much better with a huge range of foods on a buffet.

Complicated location near junction of 2 motorways, but satnav coped alright. Entrance hall and lifts and room all very good. Evening meal (€20 menu del dia) cold and poor quality. The toughest roughest steak I have ever encountered. Breakfast was also very disappointing and cold.

Very Peaceful and easy for motorways.

Found the hotel to be a little dated, had a couple of problems with heating/cooling and T.V. not functioning but swiftly resolved and moved to another room. Breakfast excellent and staff friendly, garage very secure but found the area quiet and was not overly worried about security of car.

Excellent as a stop-over

Very convenient for an overnight stay as it is just off the motorway. It is about 2 hours' drive south of Sanander. It is situated in an out-of-town residential area that has yet to be completed - I suspect Spain's economic situation may have slowed down the development! That said it isn't a building site and the houses that are occupied gave us something to look at during a 30-minute pre-breakfast stroll. There didn't seem to be much in the way of places to eat, other than the hotel itself, within walking distance. For dinner we opted for the hotel's €20 set menu, which included half a bottle of wine, and water, per person which proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Breakfast was good too. Our inability to speak Spanish wasn't a problem.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, couldn't fault the hotel at all, and hence give it a strong recommendation - but I wouldn't choose to stay there for several days as the base for a holiday.

Pleasantly surprised!

Booked the Hotel as half way point of a long trip. Noted they take pets for a small surcharge. The room was spacious, comfortable and immaculate if slightly dated. Free secure underground parking was a bonus. Being too tired to go out and find a Restaurant we risked the one in the Hotel. Had an excellent meal, shared a plate of foie gras, fillet steak and sole. Good value wine list added to the pleasure. Free WiFi appreciated, I hate being overcharged for that. It was all such good value we left with a happy smile!

As a stop off on our return journey to Santander, the hotel fulfilled our requirements. Clean room, comfy bed and buffet breakfast,

The front of house staff were very pleasent and helpful. However the restuarant staff were a little less helpful and reluctant to engage or assist with our request for hot water for the tea making (British tradition).

In part this may have been down to the language barrier? overall the hotel was pleasent to stay in.

Very Good. We wanted somewhere close to the main road as it was a stop-over on our journey from Spain to the UK. Ideally situated and well maintained establishment. Very friendly, clean and had a great 'bar meal' at a very reasonable price. Did not use the restaurant except for a great buffet breakfast. Overall a very pleasant experience.

'The hotel is off the beaten track and my 'Sat. Nav.' didn't locate it properly. However it was convenient as a one night stop over on our drive to Portugal...
Only 2 hours from the ferry at Santander. Very comfortable large room with all possible amenities.
A light supper and a good breakfast made it exceptional value. The garage was a bonus and saved unpacking valuables.

This hotel is very conveniently placed for access to the E80 motorway. It is a four star hotel and is furnished appropriately for the grading. The staff were very welcoming and happy to accept our two dogs. Travellers with dogs should note that the hotel is surrounded by grass and there is a small public park a 2 minute stroll from the hotel. There is ample free car parking. Our only criticism was the restaurant. It lacked atmosphere and we thought that by Spanish standards the food was expensive and pretentious. However, we had no complaints about the quality. Breakfast was a fairly standard buffet redeemed by the freshly made coffee served by the waiter.

Une pause agréable.

Un Hôtel confortable, un extérieur bucolique pour prendre un verre après une longue route, un personnel très sympa et à l'écoute de toutes nos demandes. Le seul point négatif est l'isolation phonique entre les étage.
Je conseil cet hébergement qui permet une bonne nuit de sommeil sur la route du Portugal.

Hotel situé au calme, accueil convenable et très bon petit déjeuner, parking souterain fermé. La chambre très spacieuse a une déco qui date un peu, mais confortable et propre. Seit 25 Jahren Besuch ich dieses Haus € nicht hat sich verändert oder ist mal modernisiert worden, nach Rücksprache mit den personal, letztes Jahr höre man ja schon Beanstandet, man könne ja ein andres Hotel suchen, soviel zur Treue der Gäste und Wertschätzung 😮‍💨😢😢😢😢 Bilder lassen sich leider nicht hinzufügen…

Hotel de carretera, comodo pero anticuado

Hotel de carretera, cómodo pero bastante antiguo. Necesita actualizarse. Decoración sesentera, suelos de moqueta, ducha con cortina (muy poco higienico y da una sensación horrible), llaves de llavero, cortinas que no cierran bien...... la habitación cómoda y el desayuno no está mal. No lo calificaría cómo un 4 estrellas. Además se indica que tiene piscina, pero la piscina no es del hotel, es de la urbanización, hay que pedir la llave... un poco lío.

Hotel conveniente al lado de una autopista

El hotel no está mal, cerca de una autopista y de fácil acceso. La habitación está bien. Por la noche apagaban el aire y hacía calor pero por lo demás bien. Hay bañera en vez de ducha por lo que es más incómodo y sobre todo porque son cortinas. El personal muy amable y atento.

Goed voor een overnachting, dicht bij de snelweg gelegen hotel , in een nieuwbouwwijk.
Ruime schone kamer. Dineren was lastig, want de zaal was al maximaal gevuld, uitleg daarover kwam pas na een kwartier wachten bij de toegang tot de zaal. Het ontbijtbuffet was dan weer prettig.
Al met al een goede overnachting en de tip om een evt. diner tijdig te reserveren.

Pas sûr que j'y retournerais

Hotel rénové mais vieillissant. La climatisation assez ancienne s'est coupée, minibar éteint en arrivant, restaurant convenable menu tout compris à 20€.

"Pequeños peros"

Sí obviamos que la habitación tenía dos camas y no una cama de matrimonio como se había pedido en la reserva y aunque se solicito cambiarlo no hubo posibilidad de hacerlo y que la temperatura programada era un poquito baja para mi gusto y en la habitación no podías modificarla, todo lo demás estuvo muy bien.

Personeel kent weinig Engels of Frans of Duits en doet geen moeite om iets anders dan Spaans te verstaan. Weinig persoonlijk en/of vriendelijke bediening. Kamers met veel huisstofmijt.
