Incredible breakfast full of fresh healthy foods, by far the best breakfast we had whilst travelling around the area. Great vegan options! Room was nice and comfy, indoor pool was nice to chill in October. Hotels a bit dated but it's no big deal. Location is great, 15 mins walk from the lake.

Nice stay and some easy hints to improve

In general it was e very nice stay.
However it would be useful to have some glasses in the room and may be the possibility to make a tea or a coffee.
Towels to take profit of the piscine would be very useful as well.
Finally a booklet with details on the hotel and on its service, as well as some tourist information about the region would be welcome.
After all no big issues, but it would be helpful to upgrade the service without extraordinary efforts.

Relaxing and picturesque hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Newly refurbished rooms were very clean and comfy. Quiet because you are abit further out of the main town but really easy to walk into Riva del Garda for dinner in the evening.

Nice clean hotel outside of town

Clean, comfortable, modern hotel set outside town among vineyards. We stayed here because it was cheaper than hotels closer to the water. You do need a car to get around, as there is nothing much nearby such as restaurants.But the water and downtown are only 5-10 minutes by car.

The hotel is ideally situated for the Lago lake (20 minutes walk). The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was on the ground floor in the annexe building and we found it comfortable and well laid out, with handy adjacent parking. We enjoyed our stay and would return for another visit.

Lovely family run hotel. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Beds were slightly hard but that was a minor issue. Service excellent and very helpful staff. Loved the outdoor pool. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Full strength wi-if in our room. The walk into Riva takes a good 20 minutes at a fastish pace.

OK but not great

Around 3 km from the coast of Lake Garda, the local area was a little industrial, with construction work and commercial premises. That said there are Orchards to the rear of the property.
The pools and wellness areas were good, although it is recommended to bring your own robe or hire one from reception @ 5€.
The room was a tad dated and no double beds, just 2 pushed together.
Breakfast was OK, although coffee not that good.

Basic hotel for basic price

I stayed at the Al Maso in June with my partner - we hadn't paid much so much were expecting something fairly basic which is what it is. The hotel is outdated but clean and in a good location - it's about a 20 minute walk from Riva centre, and close to a few good restaurants. The pool is great and always quiet.

Breakfast is very basic - although we've been travelling around Italy and stayed at some hotels with amazing breakfasts so may be spoiled. Generic continental breakfast with hams, cheese, pastries etc, although the coffee was awful. There isn't a snack bar so to speak - just the biscuits and buns left over from breakfast. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel so can't comment on that.

Although we didn't expect much of the hotel there were a few things that let it down. As a couple, it wasn't too great to be given two single beds pushed together instead of a double. The mattresses were so uncomfortable which is a pain after hiking all day - we both had trouble sleeping while at the hotel.

Secondly, there is a mini fridge in the room with water - this is not complimentary! We found this out after being charged when checking out. As there was no price list or anything else in the fridge we hadn't realised. I did try to raise this but the receptionist but she didn't understand (or didn't care). The Lidl a 5 minute walk away sells big bottles for 30c.

Overall a basic hotel for a cheap price. Although we didn't have a terrible stay, we wouldn't stay again.

My hotel choice proved a very good one. First of all, prices are very cheap, and for these prices you get very, very good value. The hotel is some 15-20 minutes' walk from the lakeside, located amidst vineyards. My room was spacious and very clean. The staff was super-helpful, and even did not want to get paid for an extra night that I had accidentally booked (It had been my mistake, so by terms of contract I should have paid). The only down side was the fact that the wireless connection in the room was coming and going, and to get decent Internet you had to go to the lobby. But this was more than forgivable, given the overall pleasant experience. Recommended.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The free use of hotel bikes really made the stay as it is about 20 min walk each way to the centre. Bizarre wifi situation without signal in rooms, but available in the lobby. Nice clean hotel with indoor and outdoor pool areas. Basic continental breakfast provided.

Lovely, Peaceful Stay

I am so happy that I chose Albergo Al Maso. The hotel was so lovely and in a setting just as described on the website. It was tranquil, peaceful, plush and filled with plants and trees. The staff was marvelous and the food at the restaurant was priced so reasonably and was excellent, in our opinion. Nicola, the waiter, was wonderful, so friendly. The price was very good and we were very pleased.

Great hotel; poor service

My husband (who is Italian) and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location, room, and amenities were excellent. It was a quiet location and the wellness center was incredible. Breakfast is very good, as well. The staff in the bar were very friendly, and prices were low. The food in the bar wasn't great, but edible. A beautiful setting!

The woman at the front desk was very unpleasant. When we arrived, we saw the small economy room we had been booked for and requested to pay for an upgraded room for the balcony if possible. She told us to go look at it before we paid, saying in Italian \"Because I don't want to see you again.\" When we returned to tell her it was perfect, she was literally rolling her eyes at the front desk at customers calling on the phone. My husband made a strong effort to show his appreciation in a lighthearted way. She just glared at him. Strange, because we happily paid an extra €90+ for the upgrade and the entire floor was empty. Usually businesses don't mind upselling an empty room.

On the first morning, employees knocked on our door to tell us that our fridge was broken and to pick it up. They said they'd be bringing a new one later in the day. On day three, my husband went to the desk to inquire about the fridge. They looked at him like he was crazy, saying there's no way a broken fridge could be fixed so quickly. No offer of any comp or even an apology.

AC didn't work.

Overall not bad.

Worth the journey from the airport!

We got a bus, a train and another bus to get to this beautiful town! I was surprising my partner, with this holiday and he didn't know where we were staying until we arrived. The last leg of the journey was through was looked like an industrial town which he wasn't impressed with. But, as soon as we got around Monte Baldo, the tourist shops and restaurants were everywhere and his frown turned to a smile.

On arrival, the receptionist was very friendly and spoke great English! We didn't see many other English families here and the hotel was mainly Italian and German, which was a problem!

The pool was very nice and there were times of the day where the pool was very quiet!

We had a few hours of rain over our holiday where we spent a couple of hours in the Spa which was below the hotel. There was tea and water there but it wasn't clear how long the water had been sat there and there wasn't a Spa receptionist or assistant to help you out, would have been a nice touch.

It's about a 20 minute walk to the lake which for me and my partner, being young, wasn't an issue but I could see why this may be an issue. There is a Lidl right outside the hotel which is perfect to get snacks for the daytime as breakfast is provided.

We were keen to see other parts of the lake and got two easy buses to Gardaland and one to Limone. I would highly recommend both of these and buses are super cheap!

Overall the hotel was nice. The room had cob webs in the ceiling. Only issue! ❤️❤️

Ok but not the best

Good parking, free wifi, good size bathroom, however, we were are family of four so the room was a bit small when the sofa bed was set up for the children.
Basic breakfast.
Nice pools, however, we were not allowed to use the indoor pool unless we had a bathrobes so had to hire them from the hotel.
Located on the outskirts of Riva so too far to walk in the heat.

Hotellet ligger cirka 20 minuter promenad från centrum. På gott och ont, uppskattar lugnet på vingården men lite tråkigare när man ska ut och äta på kvällen.

Avslappnat boende med pool både inomhus och ute. Hotellet skulle absolut må bra av en uppfräschning men trots det är det vårt andra besök här. Perfekt om man kommer med bil och vill utforska området!

Inizio anno a Riva del Garda

Bella struttura, poco distante dal centro di Riva del Garda ed abbastanza silenziosa. Accanto si trovano alcuni negozi raggiungibili a piedi in meno di 5'.
Colazione con tanta scelta e prodotti buoni; personale molto gentile ed attento.
Provata solo la piscina coperta, visto il periodo di soggiorno scelto, mentre la parte scoperta è disponibile nei periodi più caldi.

Nel complesso giudizio positivo ma due note: la prima riguarda la camera un po’ datata e nella quale filtravano parecchi rumori notturni fastidiosi, la seconda riguarda l’inagibilità della spa, di cui siamo venuti a conoscenza solo una volta arrivati, non propriamente corretto. La colazione non è a buffet, ma al cliente viene data una carta dalla quale si deve scegliere una dei 6 tipi di colazioni diverse, costringendo il cliente a mangiare gli alimenti facenti parte di quella combinazione. Non l’ho trovata una soluzione molto appagante.

Lovely family-owned hotel next to mountains

We stayed 4 nights in the hotel and we fell in love with it right away. Hotel is located surrounded by mountains and wineyards, about 1,3km from the city centre of Riva del Garda. Walking took around 15 minutes from us when we went to the city for a dinner. Hotel also has their own parking area where was enough space everyday and therefore it’s a perfect location for roadtrips to nearby areas, i.e the mountains and Lago di Tenno. Rooms are bit old fashioned but nice and clean and hotel staff is amazing. There is also a lovely small pool area which was peaceful and not crowded. Breakfast was good too and I just loved their homemade youghurt. One good thing we appreciated was that there was Lidl just around the corner, so it was easy to get some snacks and bottled water.

Best moment of the day was to sit in our own terrace in the evening and listen the silence and watch the nat family flying around and sip some local wines. All together, very lovely experience and we are already waiting to get back to beautiful Al Maso <3

Nice hotel surrounded by wineyards, a great pool

Lovely characterful hotel at peaceful location surrounded by a wineyards. The pool is a gem. Heartful service all around and good reasonably priced italian food from the restaurant, what's not to like. We will come back again.

Mycket trevlig personal sm gjorde sitt bästa, men det var en del saker som inte riktigt var som förväntat. Inomhuspoolen var stängd under hela vistelsen. ACn funkade inte i rummet vilket innebar ganska svettiga nätter. Personalen gjorde så gott de kunde för att hjälpa oss och vi fick en extra fläkt.
Frukosten var riktigt bra. Hotellet ligger lite avsides och det kändes inte aktuellt att gå ner till city med två små barn.

Weingut im Oktober mit Sommerfeeling

Ein schöner, idyllischer 'Kurzurlaub' mit 3 Tagen spätsommerlicher Herbstatmosphäre. Wer die ländliche Idylle liebt, ist hier im Weingut bestens aufgehoben. Eine wirklich gastfreundschaftliche Familie erwartet hier ihre Gäste. Die Unterkünfte sind in ländlichem Scharm, stilvoll erhaben und mit nicht zu aufdringlicher 'Moderne' ausgestattet. Trotz alle dem ist auch W-LAN und SAT-TV vorhanden .0) Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt *vielen Dank*

Albergo in discreta posizione

Pulizia ottima siamo stati accolti bene .
Camere vecchiotte ma in ordine ben imbiancate e molto pulite tutto funzionale.
Bella vista dalle finestre sul giardino e piscina.
La piscina coperta bella ma con acqua freddina .
La spa veramente troppo piccola per tutti gli ospiti presenti ,manca una vasca calda con idromassaggio.
Colazione eccellente.

Ci siamo fermati solo una notte, abbiamo approfitt

Ci siamo fermati solo una sera arrivando la sera e ripartendo la mattina ma abbiamo gradito la zona wellness, piccola ma ben fornita, e una ricca colazione.

Albergo comodo da raggiungere... situato tra campi di vigne... per noi che piace camminare abbiamo raggiunto il centro comodamente a piedi... abbiamo dormito una sola notte, unica nota da segnalare l'eccessivo caldo nella stanza... ma se avessimo soggiornato più a lungo sono certo che avrebbero posto rimedio... posto in cui tornerò sicuramente...

Günstiges sauberes Hotel

Das Hotel besteht aus zwei Gebäuden, einem Altbau und einem Neubau.
Was wir nicht wussten war, dass günstigere Zimmer im Altbau liegen, sonst hätten wir das nicht gebucht.
Unser Zimmer war zwar sauber, aber klein, dunkel und mit sehr alter Einrichtung. Außerdem ist das alte Haus ist sehr hellhörig, was länger schlafen schwierig macht.
Es gibt einen kleinen Indoor Pool, der ist aber alt (Fliesen fallen schon ab) und zu kalt um darin länger als 5 Min bleiben zu wollen.
Frühstück war okay, wenn einen das durchdringende Quietschen des ständig laufenden Toasters nicht stört.
Das einzig positive am Hotel war der neue kleine Saunabereich mit zwei Dampfbädern und einer Sauna und ein paar Erlebnisduschen.
Wenn man nur eine saubere, günstige Übernachtungsmöglichkeit sucht, ist das Hotel okay. Wiederkommen werden wir aber nicht.

Muy bien de hecho nos dieron la habitación muy amablemente desde las 10:00 am ya que llegamos muy temprano y empanadas ya que estaba callando una fuerte lluvia, todo muy bien pero el hotel lejos del centro

the worst room in the hotel

We were only a night at the hotel. This is perhaps the reason we got this terrible room. The window was broken, did not close. In the bathroom the shelves were broken. The room smelt damp.
The pool and the garden were great. The location in the vineyard is nice, but quite far from the city and the Lago.
If you are lucky, you get a room in the new building, we unfortunately not. The price was simply not justified.
The evening staff was ok, in the morning very nice. Breakfast ok.
For me price performance was not ok. I´m sorry, but never again!
