We recently stayed at the Hotel Astoria Park in Riva del Garda in July 2024 and had a wonderful experience. The hotel offers a great combination of amenities, including a fantastic breakfast, free parking, an excellent pool, and a prime location ( There was no extra charge for the pool ).

The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the center of Riva del Garda and the shores of Lake Garda. Its location makes it easy to explore the town, visit local attractions, and enjoy the beautiful lake views.

The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided all the necessary information about the hotel's amenities and services. There was also no issue in them holding on to our luggage as we arrived quite a few hours before checkin.

The standout facility at Hotel Astoria Park is the excellent pool area. The pool is large, clean, and surrounded by a well-maintained garden, providing a perfect spot to relax and unwind. There are plenty of loungers and shaded areas to enjoy.

The breakfast at the hotel was very good. There was a wide variety of options, including fresh pastries, fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, and hot dishes. The quality and selection of food were impressive, and the breakfast area was spacious and inviting.

This stay was part of a 7 day trip around Italy and we would not hesitate in staying here again. We absolutely loved Riva Del Garda.

호텔에 들어서자마자 직원들의 서비스와 친절이 다른 호텔에 비해 월등했기에 기분이 좋았다. 숙박객에 비해 주차 시설이 넓지 않아 조금 아쉬웠으나 다운타운에 걸어 갈 수 있는 거리이고 편안하게 지낼 수 있어 다른 사람들에게 추천하고싶은 호텔이다.

It was a wonderful stay, from the breakfast to the room. Service was excellent and the hotel is highly recommended.
The AC didn’t work in the room and the pool is not free which is weird.

But I would definitely recommend it!

All staff were excellent We had meals every night in the hotel which were 100% and excellent value for money.
The only downside was even though we had paid for a superior room,it was small and facing a busy main road.There were very few parking spaces 12 free places outside.There was a garage which normally there was a fee for but we did park in there for free.The walk into Riva was about 20 minutes.The gardens and pool were lovely

Because we booked through Orbitz, we were told we would have to pay 10 Euros a day to use the spa facility (otherwise it would have been included).
The “out building” for our room was a good 250 yds. from main building where breakfast/dining was held, and it was a “barracks-style” facility with no charm appeal, view or ambience.
No hand soap and first day Kleenex was used up and never replaced.
Location of hotel was pretty close to a mile walk to the town center (waterfront).
The beds were low to the floor and uncomfortable.

We had 3 generations staying in the hotel. The staff from the reception to the pool, bar and restaurant staff were excellent and very accommodating.
Nothing was too much to ask.
We ate most days both at the bar and at the pool and 2 waiters in particular were very attentive.
Sergio and Nickala who ensured we had the best time.
The facilities at the hotel were super, the pool was large so kids and adults could enjoy it together.
We would highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic garden setting under the mountains

The hotel is very nice and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a huge range of food available. The room was spacious and clean. The grounds and pool area are well maintained and very attractive. The only things that could be improved were the shower in our room needed re-grouting and the dinner menu had very little choice for vegetarians (particularly ones who don’t like mushrooms). Overall a great place to stay and only a few minutes walk down to the old part of Riva.

Great hotel near centre of Garda

A really clean, friendly and easily accessible hotel. This hotel provided a great location for a wedding we attended in the center of Riva del Garda. There is free parking at the hotel or if this is full there is free parking over the road. Check in was smooth and staff spoke great English. The rooms were light, airy and clean. We were in the annex which was at the end of the hotel but near the outdoor pool which was great. The hotel is great for families as it has a great breakfast selection for them, a kids club and a children outdoor pool area. Food here was nice - great selection at breakfast (lovely freshly squeezed orange juice) and a nice lunch menu. Overall a great stay and would definitely come back again.

A quiet oasis with everything we needed

Very happy with our stay. The hotel has a large garden within it's walls where our toddler could run freely and chase birds. We frequently used the two restaurants and were very happy with the food and service. With the warm and sunny weather, we spent each afternoon by the pool our and our toddler loved the staffed play area.

Loved the hotel. Lovely pool area with pleasant gardens. Only slight niggle was that all the triple rooms overlooked the local bus station. The double glazing meant it wasn't noisy but relaxing on the balcony wasn't really an option! Also the WiFi in the room was a little haphazard.
Breakfasts particularly were very good.
Hotel location was a little out of Riva, a good 10 minute walk but in some ways it was nice to away from all the hustle and bustle.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, surrounded by picturesque mountains and beautiful gardens. Friendly staff, lovely breakfast with lots of choice of good quality food and amazing cocktails (I recommend the passion fruit Margarita)! Comfortable rooms, cleaned daily and great outdoor swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers. Riva del Garda is a quiet and picturesque area. The only issue is that it takes 3 buses to get to it from Verona airport or €160 in taxi!! Hiring a car would be recommended!

Astoria Park Hotel of helpfulness

Warm welcome upon arrival that continued throughout the 6 day stay. Room cleaned promptly every morning. Fantastic breakfast (B&B stay only). Note that it is a 10 minute walk to the centre/port of Riva del Garda but nonetheless a pleasant way to travel. Spa, pool and gym facilities very nice and the staff can't do enough to assist you.

Great outdoor facilities

Overall a fantastic hotel, good food and lovely rooms with a fantastic view of the mountains. However there were 2 problems:
i) the wifi was VERY unreliable with an apple computer, and quite slow even when the connection did work
ii) the hotel staff did not respect the door signs for sleeping, the would come in to clean even with the sign on the door

Nice accommodation but wifi was frustrating

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel, having enjoyed our stay last year. We stayed in a Superior room, which was actually bigger and better than the one we had last year. Room was cleaned daily and minibar restocked daily when required. One issue we had whilst there was wifi, they were apparently upgrading it while we were there but it seemed to get worse afterwards with usage limited it seemed as we couldn't access it after uploading some images to social media. The hotel spa and pool were one of the reasons we went back to the hotel and these were vey god again, with towels and robes provided. The hotel is away from the main lakeside waterfront of Riva, a 10 minute walk which may not be ideal for some but wasn't an issue for us and offered free parking which for us was great. Good choice at the breakfast buffet, and an ok snack menu at the pool bar, prices were comparable/cheaper with bars in the area

This really is a top hotel. Very clean and modern, but what stands out are the gardens. Beautiful flowers and palm trees leading to the enormous pool. The staff were helpful and the food good. What more can you ask!

The services in this hotel is one of the best. Central location in Riva del Garda, which makes it accessible to everything. The garden was gorgeous although shame about the swimming pool both in the Spa and outside as they seem to be freezing. The room was quite spacious enough but the view from the other building is not spectacular because we were facing the garage. I really enjoyed the Spa.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the location is great as it is in walking distance to the city center and lake side where all the shops and restaurants are. The pool is nice and we enjoyed the sunny days. We went to the Spa on the rainy day and booked some treatments which we enjoyed very much.

Nice hotel, but terrible wifi

This hotel was fine, but they have a very complicated wifi system that did not work at all on my Mac and worked slowly on my iPhone. The room was small and sparsely furnished. When I checked in they told me they upgraded me to a garden room, but the room looked out on the street and did not have much of a view of the garden. The breakfast was okay, but I have had much better ones at other hotels. Overall, the hotel was adequate but I think there are better choices in Riva.

This hotel is listed as 4 star, it may have 4 star facilities but it is probably the most disappointing 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was stark bland, white - I felt like I was in an operating theatre, no art work on the walls, no kettle or tea/coffee facilities, no where to put toiletries in the bathroom, the hotel provided toiletries were in a large dispenser just like Travelodge or Premier Inn - hardly what you expect from a 4 star. The rooms were supposed to be mountain or courtyard view. Our view was of the entrance to the underground car park. The beds were comfortable. The safe was too small to put in an SLR camera or a tablet. Breakfast was pretty awful. For a country know for cheese and meats the selection was rubbish, watered down juices, burned scrammed eggs, open tinned fruits in large bowls, no presentation just thrown out....The swimming pool has a nice setting (not heated was bracing in May) with a nice back drop of the mountains. Check out time is 10am, I've never come across a 4 star hotel with a check out prior to noon! I did manage to get the 10 extending to noon after a significant amount of discussion with the reception staff. The church opposite the hotel likes to ring its bells early in the morning. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE

An honest opinion ...

If you are going to this hotel for the spa & pool area you will not be disappointed as I could not fault either of these.Do however check with the spa before you confirm your dates as a lot of the treatments are only available on certain days.
However if you like a comfortable bed forget it! I felt like Fred Flintstone sleeping on a bed of rock with a boulder as a pillow!!The view was also dissapionting that of a car park! When you book a superior room you do not expect that view when we asked to move we were told the hotel was full.Aparently there are superior rooms with views of the mountains so best check that also before you travel.
The saving grace was that after a bad nights sleep you did get an incredibly fantastic breakfast.
In summery if you are not planning to sleep & don't care about views then go for it.

Air-Con was useless, staff unhelpful.

The hotel is in good condition, fairly new looking, and clean. We paid extra for a superior room for our 4 night stay, which had a view (over the bus station) of the hills. Our room was far too hot however, and no matter how long we left the Air Conditioning turned on at 18degrees, it never got below 25. I complained about this on the second day, where the staff at reception reset a computer in the reception area, and said it should fix the problem. It didn't. I complained 5 more times over the next 2 days, each time asking for a fan to be brought to our room- and each time I was told it would be done- nothing happened- no fan. Eventually one of the receptionists admitted the hotel didn't actually have any fans (no mention of this on the previous 3 days, no apology, and no attempt to offer any alternatives). They also said the master Air Conditioning temperature was set by reception, and the units in the rooms could only vary that temperature by a small amount. They refused to accept that our room was too hot, and refused to change the master temperature (presumably as lower temperatures cost more to achieve). Even when i pointed out that it was colder in the hallway outside our room than inside our bedroom, nothing was done. In short, the building was nice, and the staff were generally attentive, but unable, unwilling, or uncaring enough to do anything about what should have been a minor problem. We were glad to leave, and won't be back.

The hotel is a slight bit away from the main town of Riva (5- 10 min walk) but isn't too much of a bother. .

A really modern, luxurious hotel, loved it!

We spend a week in this hotel and loved it! Its so modern, beds are so comfortable and rooms are very spacious with lovely views. The bedrooms and the the rest of the hotel is all kept spotlessly clean! The hotel has a spa with indoor pool, sauna, steam room etc, all of which are free to use. Robes and slippers are provided in your bedroom! Breakfast is really nice, there is a very wide choice of food. Pool and garden area is lovely. The centre of Riva is only a 10/15 min walk. Bikes are free to hire in the hotel aswell which was very handy. The staff in the reception were so helpful whenever we asked them about buses, trains, booking tours etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

Astoria Park - Ideal stay

Location of the hotel & generous sized pool was an
ideal place to stay as within a 10 min walk to the heart of Riva del Garda which is amazing. Also
only 5 mins from the central bus station so ideal
for tours etc.

The only down side is that the breakfast is a bit
limiting each morning & when you want to chill in
your room before heading out you are restricted
to only 4 English speaking channels, which are
all news - so on a loop and mind numing.

Reception staff are only ok & not the most pleasant or helpful but that a side a good place
to base yourselves.

Terrible attitude, staff, service & overall hotel

This hotel is set in the most beautiful surroundings and very good location, however throughout our whole holiday we had no air condtioning, no tv and no assistance from staff. The staff are very rude and do NOT like ENGLISH. An amazing holiday spoilt by a terrible and very expensive hotel.

Väldigt trevligt bemötande med ett glas Prosecco vid incheckning (äppeljuice till barnen). Gratis parkering precis utanför hotellets entré. Servicen var jättebra, personalen mycket trevlig. Vi hade ett fyrbäddsrum som var väldigt rymligt med riktiga sängar till oss alla. Mysigt och rent ställe med en trevlig innergård och bergen i bakgrunden. Finaste boendet vi såg när vi gick genom staden. Stort och fint poolområde som uppskattades av oss och barnen (11 och 14 år). Lite dyrt överlag men maten var bra (lunch) och frukosten fantastiskt med allt som behövdes, även färskpressad apelsinjuice. Vi återvänder gärna igen!

Resort da non perdere

Resort molto confortevole immerso nel verde a due passi dal centro storico di Riva. Dotato di tutte le comodità, compreso locale custodito per le bici e colonnine per la ricarica. Parcheggio ampio, piscina scoperta e coperta e SPA. La colazione superlativa.
Ci torneremo di certo

Das Preisleistungsverhältnis an der Poolbar ist leider nicht gegeben. Zu teuer und Qualität nicht gut. Insbesondere die tiefgefrorenen Pizzen.
Das Frühstücksbuffet und das Menue abends jedoch tipp topp. Personal sehr freundlich.

Super Hotel, auch beim zweiten Mal.

Toller Urlaub für Familien oder auch ohne Kinder. Miniclub für die Kinder, Spielplatz auf dem Gelände, gratis Kuchen für die Kleinen und ein Frühstücksbuffet das Seinesgleichen sucht. Frisch gepresster Orangensaft und eine Gemüse- und Obstbar zum selber entsaften. Einfach rundum gelungen. Der Service ist hervorragend und die Anlage weitläufig genug für Privatsphäre im Poolbereich. In 10 Minuten ist man gemütlich in die Stadt gelaufen. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Hallo,
wir waren mit dem Zimmer nicht ganz zufrieden,
- weil die Badewannendusche sehr klein war,
schlimmer als daheim.

- warme Minibar/ Kühlschrank, was können wir damit anfangen??

- Kein Mülleimer 🗑 da gewesen, dann ergänzt. Ok

- die Klimaanlage war ein Witz, hat nicht gekühlt, zu schwach.

Ansonsten war alles weitere ok.

Ber für den Preis von über 200 €/ Nacht leider zu teuer.
Zimmer klein und sporadisch.

Keine ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ wert.

Für uns nicht komfortabel genug.

Fantastisk hotel med god beliggenhed. Morgenmaden er virkelig god, personalet utroligt venligt og generelt er værelser/pool og de resterende områder i top. Kan helt klart anbefales og vi kommer helt sikkert igen!

Сервис на высоте: отзывчивые и очень любезные ребята.
Немного однообразный завтрак, но в плане ассортимента каждый что-то найдет.
Однозначно вернулась бы еще!

Schönes Hotel mit sehr guten Service

Wir waren als Familie für eine Woche in dem Hotel. Es war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt.
Der Service stimmte auf allen Ebenen.
Was uns sehr gut gefallen hat war der angelegte Park mit dem Pool.
Das Frühstück war einfach TOP!!!
Zum Frühstück konnte sich unser Sohn (5) die Pancakes mit der Pancakemaschiene selber machen.
Wir haben uns selbstgemachte Obst + Gemüsesäfte der unterschiedlichsten Geschmacksrichtungen kredenzt.
Das Zentrum ist zu Fuß in 15 Minuten gut zu erreichen.
Wir werden das Hotel wieder buchen.

Aktuell Preis-/Leistung nicht angemessen

Nach 6 Tagen auf dem Fahrrad unterwegs haben wir uns sehr auf zwei erholsame Tage im Astoria Park gefreut. Der Concierge vor der Tür machte keine Anstalten, uns mit dem Gepäck zu helfen. Der Empfang an der Rezeption war auch eher kühl. Herzlich willkommen haben wir uns nicht gefühlt. Die kleine Kammer für die Räder leider voll, also mussten sie draußen im Regen stehen. Die Lage des Astoria‘s ist gut, die Altstadt ist zu Fuß sehr gut zu erreichen.
Unser Zimmer im 4. Stock war geräumig und trotz Blick auf den Busbahnhof ruhig, seitlich konnten wir sogar den Gardasee sehen. Dafür war das Bad arg in die Jahre gekommen. Der Toilettensitz war locker, leere Seifenspender wurden erst auf Nachfrage aufgefüllt. Mit Liebe wird der Gast hier nicht umsorgt.
Das Schönste am Hotel ist die gepflegte Außenanlage mit vielen Palmen. Auch der Poolbereich hat uns gut gefallen. Der Service hier und an der Bar war sehr aufmerksam. Allerdings fanden wir die Preise für Kleinigkeiten zu hoch.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reichhaltig und mit Blick in den schönen Garten kann man den \"Schick\" des Innenbereichs gut vergessen.
Der Direktor hat sich unseren Kritikpunkten vor Ort angenommen und auf einen Drink eingeladen. Bleibt abzuwarten, ob sich auch etwas ändert.
Unser Fazit: Mit Motivation und Engagement könnte man sehr viel mehr rausholen. 4 Sterne * ist aktuell nicht angemessen!

Ottimo hotel vicino al centro

Molto pulito e curato l’hotel è stato davvero una bella sorpresa. Camere ampie e pulite. Piscina e giardino curatissimi e ben tenuti. Colazione sontuosa piena di prodotti tipici artigianali e non. L’angolo delle crêpes e dei pancake fatti al momento è stata davvero una chicca.
