Right in downtown Shelton, The Shelton Inn is a cozy quaint hotel that is attached to Blondies Diner. The rooms are clean, the bathroom accommodates all your needs and the added touch of the Victrola/ Bluetooth speaker is a nice added touch.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by the thoughtful details throughout. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up, but what really stood out was the unique personal touch — they even had a record player with a Jim Croce album ready to play. That alone made the experience feel special and memorable. It’s clear they care about creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, not just a place to sleep. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for something a little extra and full of character.

Enjoyed our stay at Shelton Inn immensely. So nice that a motel in the \"old\" style can be updated to fit the needs of today. Shelton Inn provides for the basics of an overnight stay (or two or three) in simple elegance. Our room was clean, quiet and spacious. The town/city of Shelton is nicely located to provide access to all that the peninsula has to offer. I would recommend the Shelton Inn to anyone and if in the area again it would be a very short search for a great place to stay.

Clean and friendly

A fight broke out in the parking lot during the night, a domestic dispute so no fault of the establishment. I can see where they are working at cleaning the place up and giving it some homey effects. For example our room had a record player and a few records which was a pleasant surprise.

The front office was a cluttered mess when we checked in. You could tell the owners had tried to update the rooms. Overall it wasn’t a bad update except the bathroom ceiling fan was open (no fan cover) so you could see above the ceiling, the handles to the shower/tub were mismatched and didn’t fit, the curtains were too small for the window so they didn’t completely cover the window making privacy impossible. The place is fine if you just need a place to lay your head for a night, but I wouldn’t stay there for an extended stay.

The motel was in downtown Shelton, so very convenient. The rooms were in partial upgrade mode. The stairs to the upper floor where we were located needed repair/replacement of the carpet as the top step carpet was taped down with frayed duct tape. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They don't have a complimentary breakfast, but have a nice cafe that is attached to the motel. We would probably stay there again if the outdoor maintenance to the stairs, etc.was completed.

The Shelton Inn is convenient to downtown Shelton. Safeway is one block behind the motel and there's several restaurants within walking distance. The motel has been recently remodeled and is quite nice.

Too close to main street making it noisy during the night, noisy AC unit, could not turn bathroom noisy fan off and have the light, window in the shower - too much light at night, loose toilet seat, no cups for water, no kleenex, had to ask for garbage cans, had to adjust things to enable the plug ins for device charging. The service was good at check-in they said they changed my room from a king to two queens and that this room was remodeled and all new inside, the room had a terrible odor, stains on the walls, lamp shades and the chair, the shower handles come off and the faucet was loose from the wall.

What an improvement!

I have seen the older reviews for this location, but they are now under new ownership, and they have done a lot of remodeling. There is still work being done, but it is much better than older reviews indicate. Also, Blondie's Restaurant, under the same new owner is very good. Portions are large and the prices are good. I did not look forward to going to Shelton, WA in the past, but I may just make a trip through Shelton, just to go here again.

Recently re-done. Great stay.

Great changes to an older motel. Beds are very comfortable. Towels and shampoo etc
are new and readily available.
I realize it’s new owners just getting started so overall excellent. I’d suggest separate bins in the rooms for trash and recycling. Kleenex in the room would be helpful.
We’ll stay again. Affordable and a good location.

The room was really dirty hair all over in the shower and on the bed and pillows.
There was food or I don’t know what exactly stuck on the walls around the bed and throughout the room. The heater did not work
The room was just all together disgusting
and I would recommend it to anyone! I ended up leaving and going home

The new owners are in the middle of renovations all around the property, didnt disrupt my stay at all. The staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly. I liked the direction its going and I can tell they are putting their all into the Hotel. Their towels are so fluffy and there were plenty of them. The bed was a little too soft for my liking but it was still comfortable, sheets were so soft and the beding was the perfect touch! All and all I would definitely stay there again.

Shelton has only 2 options and I went to visit my son in assisted living so I tried both. I saved $50 by staying here on a Saturday night. It had many stairs to the second floor and no alternative which I had no choice and found extremely difficult being older and having a carry on suitcase to lug up…. This should be made more clear in the advertising!!! Otherwise, it was clean as possible but very outdated and adequate if you are not too picky. Excellent home style cafe adjoining and not too far from more shopping by car.

Rundown, outdated motel. So much foot traffic, noise, questionable people coming and going at all hours. Outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. Walls and door are in need of cleaning and a paint job. Picture on the wall had who knows what splashed all over it. You can hear everything going on outside. Pretty sketchy.

I reserved my room through Expedia. When I got there, they did not have a room available. Then when they made a room change. The Heater was broken in our room and it was 38 degrees outside and not much warmer inside. The employee tried to fix the heater but it barely worked and we froze all night. Every tile on the bathroom floor is broken. I almost cut my feet. The carpet looked like it has not been cleaned in 10 years. I don’t even wanna know what’s on the bottom of my feet now. I felt like I was gonna fall through the shower floor. The dead bolt lock did not work in room 32.

Well where to start? This place is a dump....LONG past it's prime. The chairs in the room where stained and filthy, outside the garbage cans on both floors overflowing, carpet filthy. In short pretty darn grim and we do not complain easily!
The manager grudgingly gave us a couple of extra pillows when we asked...
Toilet just barely flushed, water pressure very low...on a good note there was hot water!
But without a doubt the worst property we have stayed at in a LONG time!
If you need to stay in Shelton and this is the only place available....sleep in your car! Much better option!

we were travelling in our motorcycles, and taking the ferry from port Angeles the next day. We booked this hotel, because it was a couple hours away, and at the end of our day … so I judicious spot to stop overnight. For the price, we didn’t expect luxury, and we didn’t get it. The room was OK. The Wi-Fi was nonexistent. The owners were little gruff, but the employees were all right. The restaurant next-door is good, with delicious pies. Notwithstanding, travelling on a budget, we would probably stay there again.

Terrible check in experience. Received a VM at 5:22 telling me I hadn't checked in yet, and to let me know that if I am going to check in after 9:30 to give them a call. Got to the property at 5:40 to check in, and was greeted with a locked door and a hand written sign that said, \"Sorry Call me\" with a number to call. Called the number went straight to VM stating the VM was full. Called the number to the Hotel, no answer. Not able to check in. Drove around the drug addict infested town, continued to call the hotel until someone answered. An old asian man finally answered, but was incredibly difficult to understand. Went check in with a little old korean couple that owned the place. Couldn't speak to them let alone understand anything they said. The place is SUPER old and outdated, (floor lamps & landline phones) rooms are dirty, they have the nastiest carpets, and the room smelled like cat piss. Open the back window and all you see are drug addicts sleeping in the grass of church behind the hotel.
