The owner had great hospitality. Internet and room were good. Very close to a metro station, easy access to the city center.

It was Contact-less resting place.

A page with instructions and entry details with my name was outside the main door. Entered without any reception, and none was required.
The place has clean sheets and stuff. Walls were with stains...
For a place to sleep, and just sleep, this was fine.

Cooking place was available bus without coffee or anything bread...!

Stayed two nights with wife and baby!! Small double bed room.

Subway and bus station were at walking distance. It was easy to go to dongdaemun or itaewon or Seoul Station.

Worn but cheap

We stayed 6 nights in a twin 'bunkbed' room. The accomodation was fair value as it was cheap, beds were comfy, had Aircon and although basic you got a free breakfast with coffee. There are downsides with it being cheap as it is pretty well worn. Our toilet was broken with the pump running water through the cistern all of the time, the fix was to turn the water valve off at night to stop the sound, but you then had to turn it back on to do the toilet, also the fan in the bathroom intermittently made a loud screeching sound and the toilet smelled after showering. The host was quick to respond when we highlighted issues and fixed what he could. If on a tight budget, it is ok for a few nights.

Avoid this hostel

TLDR: look for a another option. If their policy let us check out early and refund the remaining days we would have - and it was still a near thing.

The good: it’s cheap, you’ve got your own bathroom, there’s wifi, toast and jam, your pretty close to bus and train stations and they let you to check in late even if through a flawed process (see “worst” below).

The bad: It says there’s a partial reception - we were there 5 nights and we never saw anyone despite coming and going at varying times. It’s in a sketchy looking neighborhood. The hostel and rooms are also very run down and dirty looking. I’ve included pictures. In five nights, they did not change our sheets once despite appearing to (my bed was made once but a chocolate stain from the night before remained) and it was dusty under the bed.

The worst: They have a poor security policies. Due to some travel delays we didn’t arrive at the hostel till well after check in. We’d emailed them last minute to inform them of this possibility but hadn’t received a reply back before we took off - they sent us a response with the entry code for the front door but we couldn’t reply because we’d lost our Internet and it was nearly midnight before we got it back. Likely because they hadn’t received a response, the hostel decided to take a laminated card with my name on it with the ENTRY CODE in it and TAPED IT TO THE FRONT DOOR. And that card looked reused.

Needless to say, we kept our door bolted whenever we were there.

Easy to get in and out. Great location. Good TV. But, \"Continental Breakfast\" is peanut butter and jam on toast. Bathroom and rooms really need cleaning. Coffee ran out.

The guesthouse is a 2 minute walk from Sinseoldong Subway which is very accessible. A convenient store is also located nearby. Mr. Kang is not always seen around but he responds quickly to queries through email. He is also very considerate of his guests and allows check-out extension when necessary. Our stay is very much convenient generally although it would be much better if the guesthouse would be a little bit updated. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great things for great value

The building was a little old, but the rooms and bathrooms were clean. Even though it was just a guesthouse, there was daily housekeeping and sufficient breakfast--most places don't offer either these days especially breakfast. Its was a cheap but good stay.

Basic Hostel Room. Fine, but not great.

We booked a room last minute at the Dongdaemun Guest House because our other reservation cancelled on us. The room was cheap and offered a private room with our own bathroom and 4 bunks. The guesthouse manager called to make sure we would be able to get into our room even though we were getting in late. He also texted us directions, which was great. The guesthouse itself was a little run-down. We had AC, but it wasn't strong enough to cool down the whole room. The \"continental breakfast\" listed was toast. For the last minute price, everything was fine, but I wouldn't seek this guesthouse out in the future.

Low prices for a reason

Tiny room, blocked toilet drainage which resulted in strong odour, water easily leaking into the bedroom floor from the combined toilet-shower room when using the shower

Great place !

A very cosy and well run place. I really enjoyed my stay here, it had everything I needed and all at a good price. The staff were very helpful and having breakfast included was a bonus. There is a subway station very close by (about a minute's walk) which will connect you to all of Seoul, there are many good places to eat all around and an interesting market just down the road and numerous 7/11's so you don't miss out on those all important snacks ! Great value, I'd definitely stay again.

Nice Place

We loved the owner. She was so helpful, friendly and kind. Her husband seemed to speak English but she didn't speak one word. This could make it difficult to get info about surroundings, etc. but she was still so likable. We had 4 in family room (husband, wife, 8 yr old and 10 mos old). It was adequate - beds seemed brand new, sheets very clean. Bathroom had shower, sink, toilet all in one small space. This was our first hostel experience with whole family and we might not do it again but if you're on a tight budget it's a fine place to stay. There were restaurants everywhere around and subway entrance was right down the alley. We took airport train from Incheon and then taxi from Seoul Station, but you could easily take subway. Sinseouldong station Exit 11 or 12 or 1.

건물이 약간노후되고 곰팡이가 좀있지만 최고의 가성비입니다 원룸처럼 방음도 훌륭하고 창문이 골목안쪽에 있어서 1층이어도 외부의소리가 잘들리지않습니다

良く利用しましたが、残念です

何年か利用しましたが経営者が替わったのか、ひどかったで
部屋は毎日掃除はしてるようですがタオル1枚だけですバスタオルとで2枚ほしいところです
タオルの場所は知ってるので勝手に持ち出しましたが。
9日泊りましたが掛け布団ですが初日に少し汚しましたが帰るまでそのシーツで驚きました

後　暑い時期でエアコンが作動不調で5分から1時間の間に数回止まりましたが
オーナーは英語とハングルしか話せず故障と話はしましたが修理のないままでした
夜暑くて目が覚めて、またつけるとゆう最悪な状態でした
やども管理人が昼から3時位までしかいず何かあったらと
フロントの番号のみ張ってありました
私は次回はここを利用しません。

Останавливайтесь, только если сильно прижало

Из положительного - только кровать, матрас, одеяло, чистое бельё. Ну, и близость к метро. Всё остальное несёт на себе жуткий налёт антисанитарии, поверхностного отношения к ремонту и уборке, что совсем не характерно для Кореи. Неприятно сидеть за столом на засаленный кухоньке; невозможно ходить босиком по линолеуму, кричащему о том, как он стар и хочет уйти на покой; нельзя нормально помыться в душе, потому что вода ручьями течёт в комнату сквозь щели в плохо пригнанной двери. Думаю, хватит красок для полноты картины.
