What a great place to stay at! The room was great, the owners were fantastic, very helpful and caring. Easy walk to AML cruise office and many restaurants on the main street of Tadoussac. The breakfast was also great and was a fantastic way to start the day. I've already recommended this place to all my friends who are planning on visiting Tadoussac and will come back here again in the future.

Do not take the backyard shed room!!!

Was surprised to be assigned small flimsy garden shed in backyard for our “deluxe” accommodation! Small pedestal sink, nowhere to put anything, bathtub shower was difficult to navigate, cold water handle fell off when turning on. TV did not work, wifi was spotty. Breakfast was extra charge ($15 per breakfast), unusual for a B&B but whatever. The breakfast was delicious. Host was very nice. The town of Tadoussac is lovely and well worth visiting, we loved our visit!

First and foremost, this property calls itself a B&B - but breakfast is not included in the very high price! I have traveled extensively in the US and Europe and NEVER heard of a place calling itself a B&B that has an extra cost for breakfast.
We stayed here for 2 days, out of the 4 we originally planned. (More on that later.) The reception area is spacious. The rooms not so much. They are very small, and the bathrooms are the tiniest I have ever been in. The shower is so small you literally cannot turn around in them, and if you tried drying yourself in the shower, you'd be drying the shower walls too, it is that cramped. The bathroom has the toilet and tiny shower, the sink is outside. While the room was in good condition, the bathroom wasn't - cracked tiles, not great maintenance, but clean. The sink was in the BR.
Some sites show the rooms as having crisp white linens. Mine most certainly did not. The decor was an unappetizing mix of dark grey bedcover and sham pillows, and dark brown sheets with mustard yellow curtains. In a very small cramped room, the result was claustrophobic and unpleasant.
So we decided we couldn't take 4 nights there, and changed to 2. I knew going in there was a no-refund policy, but thought I would ask anyway. I don't hold a grudge against them for enforcing the no-refund policy but I do object to the dishonest excuses and run-around I got before they finally told expedia the truth.
Overall, poor value for the high price.

Maison Gagne is a small property very close to the ferry crossing and a short walk to the center of Tadussac.

The room we had was very small, but the service is so warm and friendly that it made up for it.

The breakfast was delicious! We worked up to the smell of freshly baked croissants every day.

The owners, Ella and Immett are very accommodating, super friendly and helpful. They speak English and French and Ella speaks Italian.

We would go back there in a heartbeat!

This is a very special property within a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants in town. The couple who run the auberge are lovely and welcomed us with a warm smile when we arrived late one evening. The front desk is not always staffed but our host was easily reached by phone.The room was immaculate and comfortable and breakfast was wonderful! We would most certainly return.

Taudessac is a gem of Quebec and this B&B is a true gem of Taudessac and what makes it even more special is the owner and hostess: the sweetest Hela Gagne.
Our only regret is that we didn't book for at least one more night.

The Auberge is a very nice place to stay if you are an average-sized person, as the bathroom is tiny. The description of the Auberge on Expedia is misleading. It is not a Bed & Breakfast. They stopped offering breakfast since the COVID pandemic.

A great little B&B place which is certainly good value for money. Hela (Ella), the host, is just amazing; does anything she can to make your stay in the auberge and town a memorable one. Breakfast is a treat and definitely worth it!! This is easy walking to the town and port. Rooms on the front might get some noise from the main road but that’s the only issue. Would recommend.

Pluses first: (1) the upstair rooms and separate studios in back of the main lodge are likely very nice though we didn't actually get to see them. (2) Breakfast is available for an additional cost and is a full, substantial breakfast provided by the proprietor. (Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to partake as we were up and gone by 8 a.m. two of our three days there. (3) The proprietor is an a very friendly and helpful person.
(4) A small lake and adjoining woods (with access to the national park) are located nearby at the rear of the property, and there is seating and a table fpr guests to site outside during nice weather and enjoy the scenery. (5) Tjere is a hike up to the top of a hill/promontory that one can take, where one is rewarded with scenic vistas of the St. Lawrence River, the town, & surrounding hills/small mountains. It begins across the street from the B & B and ends in the village near the harbor.
(6) The nightly rate for our below ground level room was very reasonable.

And now for the cons: Our room was quite small and a bit cramped (no room for a table/desk) but it did have a mini-frig that we used. The plumbing sounds from the guest room(s) above were a bit too audible due to pipe(s) that went down from that room through the wall of our room. The water pressure in the sink of our bathroom was poor though the shower was good. And finally, this B & B (located near the ferry crossing) is a bit of a walk to town up & down hill.

Lovely welcome, we were given a tour of the facilities and lots of information about how to get into the centre of the town (5 to 10 minute walk) and locations of cafes, restaurants and the boulangerie etc. The room was small but clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed, with a lovely view over the lake area at the back and forest with trees resplendent in their autumn colours.
The room has a fridge and there is a microwave and coffee machine available downstairs. Also a nice looking dining area - we hadn't realised breakfast was available and had brought our own. One parking space per room. The auberge is less than a minute's drive or a short stroll to the free Saint Catherine's ferry, we used it as both foot passengers and with the car, great service. Tadoussac itself is just beautiful, we didn't want to leave!
The hotel owners are genuinely nice people, nothing is too much trouble and they are all about their guests. Highly recommend and thank you for a lovely stay.

Convenient location, average condition. Had basement room, noise from upstairs transferred easily and sink has low water but pressure for shower good. Good size room tho. Upstairs common / sitting area only sits 2 so limited options outside room.

Promotes itself as B&B but breakfast is charged out at 12$ a plate and they like you to order the night before. It is a fixed menue so no options for light breakfast.

Located a short walk to restaurants, shops, and of course the breathtaking shoreline. AML cruises have a shuttle practically across the road to get you to and from a whale excursion on the river. Because of the end of the season, small diners were hard to find but we did find one straight up the highway away from the ferry, I think coffee should be available in the room and it wasn’t. When we arrived, our energetic and lovely host made us feel comfortable. She spoke French and English. We chose a room at the back of the building which faced the lake and away from the main road noise (you get big trucks braking on occasion). The room and bathroom were compact but clean and functional with a flat screen TV, bedside tables with lamps, mini fridge and AC. The temps were pleasant so you can leave the window open and enjoy the cool evening temps. Breakfast is an extra cost but fresh and delicious consisting of an omelet, OJ, fruit, cereal and yogurt. They accommodated’my food allergy by eliminating the cheese from the omelet which was so nice! You can cross the highway or take a pedestrian tunnel just up the road about 500 feet. It’s a 10 minute walk into the center of the compact town of Tadoussac where you’ll find restaurants and conveniences. Overall, a great place to spend a couple nights in Tadoussac. Merci!
