Les photos de l’endroit de rendre pas justice à l’endroit. C’est une place très charmante, propre, accueillante et situé parfaitement pour l’accès au village et les activités aux alentours. Tout es à une distance de quelques minutes de marche. La famille propriétaire de l’endroit est très sympathique et flexible . De plus, leur garçon a fait un travail exceptionnel lors de notre arrivée. Nous y retournerons, c’est certain.

Clean comfortable room and shared bathroom. Clean dining area with kettle we could use. Friendly hostess who explained the town layout and where to buy food and where nice walks and beaches were. She also recommended a fantastic fish restaurant which we went to. Very convenient for the whale watching boats and a headland you could watch whales from. Beautiful area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Gîte au Vieux Pommier! The living room was cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the lake. Even though we had a shared bathroom, it was always clean and well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable.

The host was truly exceptional—warm, cheerful, and incredibly welcoming. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home and brighten your day with their kindness and energy. It felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel.

The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to the heart of Tadoussac.

We can’t recommend this place enough. If you're visiting Tadoussac, Gîte au Vieux Pommier is the perfect mix of comfort, charm, and warm hospitality. - three of kind

We had a wonderful 5 day stay!

This is a great little spot in the heart to Tadoussac within walking distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants, excursions etc.

The hostess was very welcoming and you can tell she takes pride in everything she does. She gave us tips on things to do and places to go and she or her family was there is we needed anything.

We were away from home but it felt like we were still at home to some degree.

This little treasure was a nice find, clean and comfortable and we would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking to visit Tadoussac.

Gite au Vieux Pommier was the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful town of Tadoussac. The gracious hosts made us feel welcome in the shared living spaces and the updated rooms offered every amenity we could have hoped for. The hotel is conveniently located and allowed us to easily walk to the harbour front, Hotel Tadoussac and the Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre. If you are thinking about visiting Tadoussac, I highly recommend Gite Au Vieux Pommier, as you certainly will not be disappointed.

Not actually a bed and breakfast - no breakfast included or on site. The description at time of booking said breakfast was included, which was our main reason for booking this over others. It is actually a paid breakfast ($~50) at a location a short drive away.

That said, the host was lovely and the space was very clean and central to Tadoussac. Just needs an updated description!

The owner was incredibly nice and made us feel very welcome. The place was nice, clean and cozy and in a perfect location to explore Tadoussac. Be aware that some rooms have a shared bathroom. We didn’t notice while booking, so that was a bit of a surprise upon arrival, but for one night it was ok. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you!

The decor and ambience, along with the hospitality and cleanliness, are very good. Our room had a balcony right adjacent that looked out on the St. Lawrence. Pictures are somewhat deceptive - the buildings they show as visible from there, are not. Artisanal and somewhat eccentric furnishings, but some things are not maintained well - eg bathroom window that was half hanging loose and wouldn’t close. Slightly annoying that they insist on only eating at the main common room dining table, but provide nothing there except a fridge, water and kettle.
If all this is okay with you, I would recommend it, but research other places nearby as there are many.

The bed was way to soft and in the morning we were leaving, the cleaning lady entered our room without notice while we were still there. The hostress told us we had until 11ham and to leave the keys in the door to let the cleaner know we were gone. It was around 10ham and we still were in the room, door closed. Really not professional.

Nobody was there when we arrived. There was a note on the door to call someone and a nice lady finally arrived. The matress was not comfortable, it is nota B&B. You can't even make yourself a cup of coffee. There is towels in the room but none in the share bathroom to use.

Madame was exceptionally warm and welcoming.
The house itself is nestled in the heart of Tadoussac making it very convenient for all attractions.
I have grown accustomed to an open en suite bathroom and this time shared with several others, not ideal.
If breakfast had been included I would have given this place a 5/5.
The only bakery in town was closed and other breakfast options are limited.
Over all the best place in town to stay!

My girlfriend and I stayed here in late May. Since it was during the 'down season' the owner graciously upgraded us for free to her fancier hotel, right down the street. The owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. Beautiful views from the back balcony as well as inside the eating area. The room and bathroom were very clean, easy parking in the back, and the breakfast offered was top notch. We couldn't have been more happy with our stay. I would highly recommend staying here and we will stay here again when we return in the future.

Excellent value for money - best in Tadoussac

My friend and I stayed in this beautiful, well maintained property while at Tadoussac. The owner, Mdm Ella (Bella) is truly an amazing host, super kind and helpful. The rooms are very beautiful, comfortable and decorated with great taste. The place is so quiet and serene. The price is the best in all of Tadoussac. I'd highly recommend this B&B.

We received a warm welcome even though we arrived quite late in the evening. The next morning we were given a second welcome, with info about good places to eat and local amenities.

The gite is very clean and the owners and staff are welcoming. The gite is close to the tourist area and features a second floor balcony so we could sit and \"people watch\" or read our books or have a drink and snacks.

There is a lot of parking, hot water and the common areas are large. The hosts have thoughtfully provided useful items like plates, bowls, cups, kettle, etc. for guests' use.

This is a great place to stay, but I would not recommend it for people with small children... there are too many fun decorations. Also, for older people, there are stairs and many area rugs.

This property is a standard B&B. The owners are very hands off, as a matter of fact we never saw them except on checking in when they gave us our key and a quick overview of the town. The room was dated but functional. There was a 2 inch step down into the bathroom. because of the flooring it blended in perfectly. Unless you know it is there, you have to discover it the hard way, and always remember it is there or you will rediscover it. I cracked my toe three times and my wife almost went into a wall mirror. It is a lawsuit waiting to happen. There was absolutely no direction on what to do at checkout. We just left our room unlocked and the key on the bed. Hope that was the protocol, but there was no key drop, paperwork stating what to do, or person to ask. All in all, if you want somewhere to stay that is in a good location and you aren't opposed to the quirks, this place will serve its purpose.

I was disappointed by this inn. When I booked it was not clear that my room had to share a bathroom with another room. The room was very small, not much bigger than the double bed. The doors to both the room and the bathroom did not close easily and the walls shook when opening and closing them. This made for a very noisy stay as anytime a guest opened or closed a door it was loud. The shower in the bathroom was small and poorly designed.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour! Nous étions là pour le festival des oiseaux migrateurs. La chambre était propre et chaleureuse. Le lit était très confortable. Nous partagions une salle de bain et ça s'est déroulé sans souci. La douche est petite.

On retournera sûrement au Gîte si nous retournons à Tadoussac!

Careful - very disappointing

I booked this after trusting the comments on the platform. This place is clearly having management issues and they are struggling to make ends meet. First you need to phone a local number (not all tourists have local plans) to have someone come to check you in. After a long drive the last thing you need is wait for 15min for someone to arrive. Apparently they are overwhelmed with work… Second, even if there is no breakfast, coffee would be nice. There is only some really vile cheap tea. What kind of place calls themselves « Café Couette » (Bed and Breakfast) and offers no coffee? We had booked two rooms with river view. The owner said he would find us two rooms together and let us have a bathroom just for us (albeit outside) for an extra $20 per night. I wanted to check that the two new rooms would still have a river view - he never replied. We were indeed given two rooms next to each other - one with a « river view » which was more like a street view and another wi the garden view. The « private bathroom « was being used by other guests too. When told, the owner said I had to remind the guests who were aware. It is not my job to do this. The owner and his wife kept asking us for the extra $20 from the minute we arrived. Very disagreeable. They had downgraded us! The place is clean but is really basic. Tadoussac is expensive so this place appears like a steal. For the price of 2 rooms here we had a two bedroom apartment with copious breakfast in the centre of Montreal!
