It has a great view of the lake, and its gardens are beautiful. The room where I stayed was mostly or completely made of real materials. I loved it. Staff was amicable, and I spent a great time at the property. I am looking forward to go back to Santa Maria Resort.

Very clean and quiet and beautiful. We stayed in the room with a king size bed and the only negative was no comfortable sitting area other than the terrace. There was plenty of room for a pair of chairs and table.

It was our third stay at this hotel, and we find it a perfect place for a romantic getaway. The rooms are comfortable, the gardens lovely, the food in the restaurant excellent, and everything wonderful for a relaxing visit. We will be going again.
The only downside of our visit this time was a confusing new policy of requiring a cash deposit to keep a tab open for charging food at the restaurant to our room. This we did, and were assured that if the charges exceeding our deposit, that we could simply pay the difference at check-out. Thus we were very surprised by a knock on our door at a very inopportune moment in the evening that we needed to pay for our dinner because the charge exceeded the deposit.
This was the only downside of our visit, and because of what appears to us as a poorly thought and executed new policy by management.
In spite of that, it was a lovely way to spend Valentine's Day for the two of us.

It’s a beautiful place to stay and relax. Unfortunately, they neglected to tell us that both the pool and the restaurant were being remodeled. So listening to the construction noise was very unpleasant. And the food was being served outside, which is lovely, but that evening was very cool, so we ordered room service. We were still charged full price. We would definitely go back there, but would have to be reassured that the remodeling is completed.

Maximizing profits
We arrived at the hotel and they said they couldn't find our reservation even though our it was confirm through hotels.com but that they had rooms available. After driving through sharp curves and narrowed roads, we didn't think twice about staying. Nobody gives you any information about the amenities of the hotel or provides you with a piece of paper with such information. The pool is not heated but they pump water every morning from the lake which is actually warmer than the pool, third party rents the kayaks, the food is ok but overpriced, only get a couple of small water bottles during your whole stay and there is only wifi in the lobby but you have to ask for the password. The only thing that is boutique at this hotel are the prices. The rooms are nice looking but would never stay at this hotel again.

Where to begin? First of all, the only redeeming part of this resort is the restaurant. Their food is delicious beyond belief and at comparable prices to other restaurant. I highly the restaurant. The a/c in the bedrooms work very well too. The pool was in terrible condition. It was full of dead bugs, the bottom of the pool was slippery and slimy, the water looked oily and milky...disgusting. I don’t think they are placing the proper amount of chemicals to clean pool and I doubt whether they have pool filter working at all. The worse part was the cabin itself. When you pay $350 dollars for one night, you expect a high standard of cleanliness. IT WAS NOT! My daughter’s twin bed had hairs on the white sheet. My room upstairs had a biblical type apparition of hundreds of tiny flies all over bedding, curtain, and wall. I would have left in that moment, but there was a terrible storm that night. I ended up sleeping in one of the other rooms. If you are Mrs. Clean, do not stay here because you will be grossed out. My family and I had been wanting to stay st these cabins for so long and it is unfortunate that cabins are in this condition.

El lugar es muy bonito, la habitación específicamente hablando del baño, no tiene puerta, más que una cortina, lo cual no le brinda privacidad alguna, lo que hace sumamente incómodo cuando hay más de dos personas en la habitación, TODO se escucha! las chapas de ambos accesos a la habitación no les servían los cerrojos de seguridad, así como los seguros de las ventana, no cuenta con alberca climatizada como especifica su página.

El personal de Recepcion es bastante servicial y atento.
La cocina es Fantastica, solo el personal es poco atento no estan al pendiente.
Si estas en la alberca ni siquiera se acercan tu tienes que ir a solicitar el servicio a pesar de estar vacio.
Al llegar a la propiedad me dijeron que la alberca estaba climatizada y no fue asi.
Comienzan con la sopladora 6am FATAL ya que es una propiedad para descansar y no pararon hasta las 4pm. Los sabados igual comienzan 7am.
El personal no tiene conciencia se ponen a platicar a las 6.30am en la ventana de las habitaciones por mas de 1 hora y despues con la araña se ponen a barrer las hojas cuando vas a descansar.
Se fue la luz en la Laguna y prenden su planta la cual no tiene silenciador y es muy molesto ya que hace bastante ruido y no disfrutas nada. Esta totalmente pegada a las villas y no puedes dormir del ruido. Me cambiaron de habitacion din embargo el ruido era bastante fuerte y no se podia dormir desde las 3pm hasta las 9am del dia siguiente.

La cocina es Fantastica, solo el personal es poco atento no estan al pendiente.
Si estas en la alberca ni siquiera se acercan tu tienes que ir a solicitar el servicio a pesar de estar vacio.
Al llegar a la propiedad me dijeron que la alberca estaba climatizada y no fue asi.
Comienzan con la sopladora 6am FATAL ya que es una propiedad para descansar y no pararon hasta las 4pm. Los sabados igual comienzan 7am.
El personal no tiene conciencia se ponen a platicar a las 6.30am en la ventana de las habitaciones por mas de 1 hora y despues con la araña se ponen a barrer las hojas cuando vas a descansar.
Se fue la luz en la Laguna y prenden su planta la cual no tiene silenciador y es muy molesto ya que hace bastante ruido y no disfrutas nada. Esta totalmente pegada a las villas y no puedes dormir del ruido. La experiencia fue buena y volvería porque es un lugar muy agradable y en general de buen aspecto. La comida buena, bien presentada y de buen precio. La habitación agradable y confortable.
Para mejorar: El hotel no recibió la reserva del portal de Hoteles.com y fue una desagradable sorpresa llegar y no tener la reservación. Traté de llamar a Hoteles.com para aclarar pero las líneas estaban ocupadas y no me atendieron.
El personal de recepción no mostró mucha empatía ni disposición y simplemente se enfocó en hacer la reserva y entregarnos una habitación (No me aclararon si podía recibir algún beneficio por ser socio gold, y mi petición de habitación con cama king size estaba disponible por $550 extras por noche). La pantalla de la habitación no funcionaba. Cuando vino el técnico tuvo que llamar a otro para que lo guiara paso a paso y descubrir que un cable estaba desconectado y no estaba programada la pantalla. La tapa del excusado estaba suelta y el lavabo tardaba en descargar el agua. Fuimos los únicos huéspedes del hotel en 2 días… y fueron a reparar el techo de la entrada de nuestra habitación cuando nos habíamos retirado a descansar ahí. Si se corrigen este tipo de deficiencias puede ser una buena experiencia. Sugeriría entrenar más al personal para tener trato amable a los huéspedes y tratar de resolver sus peticiones.

Lo que mas me gusto es la vista que se tiene desde la alberca y restaurante a la laguna. Asi como el concepto de las cabañas.
Lo que me parece deben mejorar, es agregar un minirefrigerador en las cabañas ya que aún en las noches el calor es alrededor de 24ºC y las bebidas se calientan muy rapido y no hay como enfirarlas o tomar algo fresco en la noche. (antes si tenian refrigerador en las cabañas)
