The service was great. The room was very clean. We loved the ski valet and the onsite restaurant. Our view was terrible (first floor directly into a concrete wall by an outside access door), but we weren't there to spend time in the room so it didn't impact our enjoyment. We would definitely stay here again!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The room had an exterior door which opened up to the pool/hot tub area. It was great to have such access to those. This was a ski-in/ski-out location in Lionshead and I just love having that convenience.

This is not a hotel, it's a privately-owned room that's managed through Vacasa. And apparently the owners of the room are lizards who don't need air conditioning. It was 82 in my room when I arrived! And I struggled to keep it in the 70s throughout my stay. I will know to check much more carefully in the future, but I feel a bit bait and switched. The room itself was fine (although I HATE memory foam beds), but the lack of AC just made the whole experience pretty crappy.

Let down by very, very slow running shower and tub drains on both BR. I notified front desk on my first day. Stayed 6 days, it was never addressed. Water up to your calf after a quick shower. Would take over 10 min to drain. All the soap and hair stayed behind. Slippery and unsightly for next use.

I booked a 2 queen room and was given a single king bed. We are two 6’4 250 pound men and having to share a bed is unacceptable. The hotel was rude and told me to go somewhere else. Then when my last day came I asked for a late checkout and they refused it. The property is solid but management is awful.

This was the least expensive option at hotels.com.. and wow! Right next to the gondola, ski rental onsite with amazing discounts, super amazing friendly personnel, cozy rooms, good restaurant, walking distance to the trail and to everything.
I think the only \"but\" it's a lot of things don't make sense, we couldn't get glasses for our wine, computers cannot be used, no advil or tylenol available, the excuse was due to covid, but there are a lot of other ways that you can be exposed.. so it doesn't make sense. I'm sure if they take good precautions they can bring some of the stuff back, and yeah, at least have some advil for sale please, I had to drive to citymarket, my wife was having a strong headache after skiing.
Would I stay here again though? Absolutely.

Watch Out Room Service!

we booked 5 nights thru hotels.com to only find out AFTER the reservation was confirmed that we were booked 3 nights in one unit and the last 2 nights in another unit. this was ALL on hotels.com and in my opinion VERY unethical to NOT disclose this prior to the reservation being booked. who wants to take the time in the middle of a vacation to pack-up and then have to move and unpack, etc? Lucky the manager on duty was able to rearrange the incoming reservation and we were able to stay all 5 nights in one unit. Overall GREAT resort in GREAT ski-in/ski-out location! VERY short walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The only downside to our stay was the 1st day of our stay

This is a great value deal for a hotel room 100 ft from the gondola at Lionshead. The staff are attentive and helpful. The bell staff are excellent and efficient. There is a ski valet right at the door which is very nice.
The room itself was a bit tired. All the necessities are there. There was a good microwave and a small refrigerator. A toaster would have been nice for a three week stay.
The tv system was not very good. Poor reception on local channels. Pixelation.
The program list is weak and same old same old. You have to get up and move across the room to change the volume with the remote. Sort of defeats the purpose.
There is a laundry downstairs which is convenient. Only had to wait once to get access.
They provide local and national newspapers gratis in the lobby along with cookies and coffee, tea, or chocolate. Also cool water.
Very civilized!
There is one restaurant just off the lobby, El Sabor, Mexican cuisine and decor. The food is good and the portions are huge! The staff are friendly and helpful. There are other restaurants within easy walking distance for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I enjoyed my stay there. I was there, after all, to Ski not to entertain. And you can’t beat for the price and the convenience

Andrew the manager was extremely helpful and a pleasure to meet. He addressed our need for a replacement tv in our room as the tv was an older model. He put a smart tv in the room for us as the units are individually owned. The wine and cheese on Friday from 4-5 in lobby with Mountain View’s was a warm event and pleasantly hosted by Andrew and management. The restaurant on premise was excellent, walk from your room to El Sabor, great service and food , views. It was a great experience to walk out the door and have your skis handed to you by ski valet and the Gondola was steps away for an amazing skiing experience to the back bowls. After a great day of Skiing you ski right up to the ski valet and walk a few steps into the lobby. I’ll definitely be back again every year to this Lodge. Thanks again Andrew for making this trip a memorable one!

This hotel is a few steps from the base of the gondola at the Lion Square. The office for lift tickets and passes is right there too. At the end the day I skied all the way down to the hotel. The hotel has a ski valet service for leaving your skis overnight. A ski rental place is on premises. There is a parking area for hotel guests. Everybody was friendly and helpful. No place can be possibly located more conveniently for skiing in Vail.

I really like the location, it’s right by the gondola just a bummer that it wasnt open when we got there. I risk paying higher hoping for convenience but we should’ve just stayed somewhere cheaper - there are buses anyways. They do have shuttle service to bring you back and forth to the other slopes and easy to get hold of them. Andrew from the front desk is amazing and very helpful.

Staff was a;was always courteous. Room was wonderful. It was not large, but there was a nice sofa where we could sit. Bed was tremendous - outstanding. Very nice lodge. Wifi was flawless. View from our room was terrific. Being on the first floor,we could walk out and sit in chairs looking at the river an mountains. I was surprised that there is no air-conditioning on the property, but frankly we did not need it. I do not know how hot it might get here, but weather was perfect here in July 2019. Flowers everywhere are spectacular. The pool and two hot tubs were excellent, clean and quite accessible. The on-premises restaurant was not particularly inviting. Prices were reasonable. This lodge is clearly a time-share operation. Per night room charges were significant, but in line with the other comparable facilities. I would be happy to return again to this property.

We loved the extremely easy acces to the mountain for skiing. The gondola was literally a few steps away and we skied directly to the ski valet at the end of the day. No lugging our skis around or having to travel to get back.

The beds were a little hard for our liking.

If you're a skier the location of this hotel can't be beat as it is right at the gondola. It also is a very short walk to the village which has many nice eating places and shops. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They provide shuttle service to Vail village and other short distances which is nice so you don't require a car and don't have to wait in the cold for the bus. The room itself is only average size and hasn't been updated in a while. We didn't find any controls for the temperature and it got too hot during the night. It is pricey but then it is on par with everything else around Vail.

The location was perfect! You could walk out to the gondola, store your gear on the deck, have a beer or margarita during happy hour 3-6 at El Bolero all without leaving the resort. The lobby always had hot chocolate, coffee and water available. The closet has nice storage units for your boots, helmets, etc... Good dresser storage too for the week. The unit was equipped with plates, bowls, silverware a fridge, freezer and a microwave. The only downside to the room was the bathroom which has very little counterspace. Heater worked great and they even offered a warm air humidifier in the closet (I wish we would have used this). Easy access to shopping and restaurants. Just be prepared to spend on average $20 per person per meal or more. However, the food is great quality.

Great location right at the base of the gondola. The condition of our unit was excellent. Close to the Tavern, and the Mexican restaurant “El Sabor” located off the lobby was a great find! Good patio, with nice view of the stream, mountain and pool. Excellent all juice margaritas on happy hour! The only thing in our unit #111 that needs addressing was the bed mattress’s. In need of a new one soon. Otherwise everything was above our expectations! We will come back for sure!
