Nice property but very expensive for food and drinks. It was the start of spring break so alot of RICH kids hanging out. We discovered ants in our Hotel drawers and requested to change rooms. They accommodated us with a suite with a limited up-charge. Great pool area and beach access. Staff was usually very accommodating.

The worst I’ve ever stayed at. Horrible service, staff, and dirty room. My 3 year old daughter got bedbug bites as soon as we walked in the room and laid on the bed. It also took the staff 2 days to bring the mini fridge to the room.
Terrible hotel for the hype and price they charge.

I paid $1,000 a night to stay there and was not permitted to enjoy most of the amenities - I was there during some POSSIBLE Conference. Not to mention the resort fees and taxes I had to pay on top of not being able to enjoy the resort. The experience was unacceptable!

Beautiful hotel! We did a last minute mother-daughter long weekend and it was perfect. Pool is busy but so pretty and plenty of space to swim around. Beach was well staffed and so easy to access. I loved the beach trail that goes all the way to south beach-great for morning walk!

From the moment I arrived the staff were very friendly efficient and welcoming. Every day I spoke to the staff they offered info to engage in events I’d never thought of. LIV club is on the property and has a great venue for DJ’s to get the party started. Outstanding property and property. 10 of 10

Nothing unique about this hotel, not clean, noise from extractors was unbelievable, the room service was disaster. Everything in the room old, the refrigerator was making noise we couldn't sleep, the construction in the room was sooooo noise.
Believe me it is not worth paying money.
I complained they removed 200 dollars, where spent 2000 dollars for 3 nights.
I forgot about the elevators, 3 elevators one was working.

I booked 2 rooms and due to the bad weather wanted to check out 1 day earlier on one of the rooms. Went to the hotel lobby to take care of it and was told I had to contact Expedia since I had booked and paid thru Expedia. I called and spoke to a representative that first told me I had to go thru the hotel but than asked me to stay on hold and he said he spoke to someone in the hotel and said it was all set. When I checked out of one of my rooms today and back to to the front desk to confirm it and they had. O records of it. So it look like I did pay for a room that I didn’t even used

This historic, iconic property did not disappoint; we have had the pressure of meeting the gentleman that renovated it during the turn of the century therefore had been very much looking forward to visiting. However…QUITE expensive! paying $32 to rent an umbrella on top of at least $20 (min) for a drink seemed a bit much, given what e had already paid to stay (and park) there.

Beautiful, classy property with direct access to the beach and multiple pools. Staff is ready to serve you and make you feel welcome. However, the beach is full of seaweed therefore I did not get into the water and I am assuming other guests felt the same because the pools were packed and there were no seats available besides the beds which cost $400-$700 to rent. Besides that, I loved everything else. Room was spacious for 4 people and well maintained.

The elevator in this hotel doesn’t work.
You have to wait 30 minutes to get into working elevator.
At one point in my stay to avoid waiting I had to go up by stairs to the 22 nd floor.
The key doesn’t work.
The cleaning is terrible and no towels by the pool.

I asked for an ocean view room in the Sorrento we got one that faces a concrete wall. On the first night the shower head fell off onto my husbands toe bruising it badly. People allowed their kids to play ball on the halls. The walls are very thin. We were also hit by a football 3 times while sitting by the pool. Getting service was very difficult by the pool as well.

I booked the Fontainebleau Miami through Hotels.com expecting a luxury, five-star experience. What I got instead was a frustrating, overpriced mess that completely failed to live up to its reputation.

The service was wildly inconsistent. Staff ranged from indifferent to outright dismissive, which is shocking at this price point. I even suffered a documented slip and fall on property, reported it immediately to security, and not once did Hotel management follow up, offer assistance or compensation of any kind, or show even basic concern. Trying to obtain a copy of the incident report afterward has been an exhausting runaround, which only adds to the frustration.

On top of that, the resort nickel-and-dimes you at every turn. Mandatory service charges are added automatically, regardless of the actual level of service, which often didn’t justify the cost. For a property that markets itself as high-end, the overall experience felt transactional rather than hospitable.

The facilities themselves are visually impressive, but that’s where the positives end. When you’re paying premium rates, you expect premium treatment, accountability, and professionalism. This property missed the mark on all three.

I would strongly caution anyone considering booking through Hotels.com to manage expectations or explore other options. There are far better hotels in Miami that actually understand what true hospitality looks like.

We were given 2 dirty rooms before finally getting a clean room. The grounds and pools were never clean. There was always trash or leftover food from the previous day left all over the grounds. Upon our arrival is was absolute chaos. A pool had to be closed due to the rowdy crowd. The attendants were not attentive at all. We will never stay here again.

I didn’t realize how big the hotel is, but it is gorgeous! Check in and check out is very organized, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate at the Japanese restaurant and it was delicious. The rooms are spacious and clean, and they look modern and well kept. We asked for extra towels and shampoo, and they were so generous! We would definitely stay there again

Bad experience! I was redirected to 3 different front desk at different buildings in order to check in. So a lot of walking between buildings, storage for the luggage also at totally different location. The lines to check in and check out at least 30 min long, seems like they have not enough staff. I booked stay as Expedia VIP member for Junior Suite Ocean front king size Sorrento room and they upgraded my room without my permission to ACCESSIBLE 1 bedroom room which was supposed to be bigger. No rain shower since the room was accessible so very inconvenient. On top of that the room could have been cleaner, dirty floor that you could not walk barefoot. We had no batteries in remote for living room tv, getting through front desk line is almost impossible from the room. The bar was not refilled. I never requested for my room to be upgraded and I ended up with worse room than I booked. Check in time starts at 4pm, do not expect for the room to be available sooner than that. We did not get to the room until 4:45pm even tho we arrived to the hotel at 11am and did precheck in, in order to store our luggage. Very pricey room service, drinks at the Arcadia bar expensive as well for the quality you get. We ordered 2 pina colada and ended up paying $75 but def not worth for the quality. $80 for the parking, only valley parking offered. The furniture could be replaced in the room, everything is old. The view was beautiful from the room tho but I will not be staying there anymore.

I’ve stayed at the Fontainebleau countless times, and this trip was drastically different. We stayed in the Tresor Tower on the 30th floor, and had to wait anywhere from 5-45 minutes for an elevator to our floor. We actually used the stairs a couple of times because the line and the lobby were so chaotic. The staff did nothing to manage the issue. I’ve never seen the property so overrun and ill-managed. I’ll think twice before I book another stay here, especially around religious holidays.

writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding a recent experience with an upcoming hotel stay booked through your platform.

Upon arrival at the hotel, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled, despite having a valid Expedia confirmation and receiving an email earlier that day (around 10:50 AM) confirming check-in details. This came as a complete surprise, as I was never contacted or notified of any issue with my reservation.

The hotel manager explained that they attempted to process a payment prior to my arrival, even though I had specifically selected the “pay at hotel” option when booking. When the payment did not go through, my reservation was canceled without any further communication or additional attempts to contact me or resolve the issue.

I was then told the hotel was fully booked and that the only way to reinstate my reservation was to pay an additional fee to increased rates. This situation was extremely stressful, frustrating, and entirely avoidable. Had I been properly notified, I would have ensured my payment method was updated or taken appropriate action.
This experience reflects a serious lack of communication and professionalism. I trusted Expedia to manage my reservation accurately, and this situation has significantly impacted that trust. I will strongly reconsider using your platform in the future.

I am requesting a full review of this incident and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience

As much as I wanted to love this hotel, it is a high-end hotel. We had a lot of issues when we arrived. I had placed a bid to upgrade our room to a one bedroom suit, and when we landed in Miami, I got a notification that our bid was approved and that we were gonna be upgraded , but when we checked in they had no idea about our bid being approved. There was a lot of back-and-forth between the manager and the front desk and they told us that they don’t have the one bedroom suites available, even though they had said we won the bid. Then I asked for a rollaway bed which I had by the way emailed them before our arrival and asked them to save a rollaway bed and they assured me that they would have roll away beds and not to worry, but when we got here there they had no rollaway beds Available. they gave us a room at the Tresor Tower when we got to the building. There was a long line to get on the elevator, which was strange. We had to wait 20 minutes to get on the elevator to go up to our rooms . Once we got to our room the first two days of stay we couldn’t get an elevator in that tower so we had to take the stairs from the ninth floor going up and down. Having had knee-surger, that was probably the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel.then they call me and tell me they have a rollaway bed available but when we got back to our room at midnight , no rollaway bed ! We had to share a bed and sofa!

This hotel is supposed to be a “Resort” yet their pool closes every day at 7pm. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where the pool wasn’t open until 10pm. Also one of the beds in our room had a mattress where the springs were so bad and loud my son was complaining of his back hurting. When I said something about it they inspected the bed and ended up bringing in a thin mattress pad that didn’t even do anything. To pay between $500-$600 a night I expected way better. We didn’t even have a fridge or microwave in the room. I would not recommend or stay here ever again.

The Fontainebleau is a scam. They charged us additional fees after we left the hotel and then couldn't provide any details of why they did so. Upon check out, they tried to charge us for five days of parking (we didn't have a car; we flew from NYC and took Lyfts everywhere) and also for three bottles of Evian water that we didn't take. We had those removed upon check out, but the hotel still is trying to charge us for things that we didn't approve.

Stay away! Even the hotel staff at the bar and the beach refer to the hotel as a 2-star property that treats its guests like garbage.

This was my 5th testy here for business or pleasure. The hotel is one of the best in Miami. It is time for some work to be done on it such as painting, refresh of rooms, and concrete work around the pools. Lastly, the food prices are out the roof. One cocktail by the pool is $38.00. A fish sandwich is $47.00. This was very disappointing to us.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Fontainebleau. The room itself was clean, spacious, and very comfortable — exactly what you’d expect from a luxury property.

Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not reflect that same standard. The hallways were dirty, with trash left out and debris on the floors. Even more concerning, basic maintenance seemed neglected — signage was falling off the walls and an exit sign was left sitting on the floor, which felt both unprofessional and unsafe.

The elevators were another major issue, with wait times reaching up to 20 minutes at times. On top of that, there was no control in the hallways late at night — children were running and screaming around 1 AM, and there was no visible security or staff addressing the situation.

Overall, while the rooms are nice, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and oversight throughout the property really took away from the experience.

We stayed at the Tressor towers and our room was on the 28th floor. The one and only reason for a 1-star rating is the elevator situation. Only 2 elevators service all of the 36 floors (a 3rd elevator would operate adhoc and a 4th was out of service). The elevators stop at each and every floor on the way up and way down. They sometimes don't stop at your floor at all. Each time going up and down was a 15-20 min wait for the elevator and then a harrowing 10-15 min ride inside. The hotel actually had a staff to manage the elevator traffic. We wasted so much time with the elevators the first couple of days that we actually started hiking the 28 floors via stairs. And we were not the only ones who resorted to doing so.

Terrible elevator management considering how much elevator technology has improved in the present times. Absolutely would not recommend staying in these towers.

The resort was very busy with Spring Break and holidays but it was clear the hotel wasn’t staffed appropriately to support the surge. When we checked in another guest was expressing concerns that a supervisor was supposed to call her for 2 days but hadn’t. Then when I arrived to my room, I realized it was an accessible room. I called the front desk to see if we could be moved and I was told a supervisor would contact me. I never heard from them. At the beach, they overbooked the bed I was in but they eventually got it sorted out. The frozen drink machines stopped working on 2 occasions (for hours) over 4 days. Finally, they were out of pool/beach seat covers everyday and towels were sparse on 2 days. I’ve had plenty of great stays here but this time the customer service was lacking.

We stayed in the tresor tower and the room was a little outdated. We had a balcony with an ok view, but it did not have chairs to sit. We had to call several times for chairs to be brought up. The elevators (4) were slow and constantly out of order with wait times from 10-30 minutes. The beach had a front row of cabanas ($600 to rent) and they took up the whole ocean view so if you didn’t spend extra money for the cabana, you were stuck looking at the back of it instead of the ocean. We won’t be booking here again.

Unfortunately, the service by the pool and by the beach were horrendous. It wasn’t the fault of the waiters. They tried their best food took forever well over two hours to make it to the beach for lunch one time one of your outlets was closed and you actually closed the kitchen and there was nowhere to get lunch except for sitting down there were horrible college kids and underage drinking on the beach happening everywhere on the property.
During spring break, there must’ve been 500 freshman from university Wisconsin. Like a keg fest on the beach..
The pool constantly ran out of towels and I couldn’t get a chaise lounges .
The concierge only stays till 6 o’clock and after that if you need something, you have to wait on a very long Front Desk line to ask anything. The concierge’s actually keep banking hours and not hospitality hours. It’s very weird.

This hotel could be great but the service is BAD. Rooms are ready late, you can never get anyone of the phone in less than 30 minutes ( no your call is NOT “important to them”), getting laundry or anything else done takes half the day - carpets are torn, and things look sad. Rooms are a decent size but the whole vibe is more Motel 6 than four star hotel. Really look somewhere else …
