i was booked for 4 night stay, first night i arrived and checked in- just the smell of urine was just unbearable! this hotel is old, and absolutely not as described! be aware! they have done a great job at taking pictures, but the reality is this hotel is beyong saving! should be a 1 star hotel at best! i left after the first night and lost 3 paid nights- there is much better hotels at the same price!!!

What I like most is that there are direct buses going to Hong Kong, and that it is walking distance to all that we need to go to.

very convenient For going to metro subway sight seeing area， kung fu and lion dance celermony places , but the events should be more to draw the tourists attention for their next visits. Prepare more leaflets for introducing the attractions , kungfu master mr. Yip Ming who was related to Bruce Lee. I think , the introduction, and advertising are too less for such area who are full of history which are now still influenced the world, including the food and the calture, it is rich but less introduction and advertisement !!! And also the old temple an and the wood crafts on the walls or rooftops

Good location for a business traveler. Restaurant staff speaks almost no English and some of the hot foods on buffet were not very hot.

A tad dated but in great shape and extremely comfortable bed with nice linens. I’d probably stay here again despite some unusual smells In The room, especially in the evening. Like sewer gas or not well ventilated bathrooms. Not sure

I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Foshan and was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service, especially by Jessie Shen at the reception. Her warm hospitality and professionalism stood out, especially when we had specialized requests . She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and comfortable, handling every detail with care and a genuine smile. Her assistance set the tone for a truly enjoyable experience.

The rooms were very pleasant – spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the necessary amenities. The beds were comfortable, and the overall ambiance of the room provided a perfect retreat after a busy day exploring the city.

The hotel’s location is another standout feature. Situated in a convenient area, it’s close to several halal food options, which was a great advantage for us.

I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Foshan for its excellent service, well-appointed rooms, and strategic location. A special thanks again to Jessie Shen for making our visit so memorable!

This is my fourth stay in Foshan Crowne Plaza in 2024. The hotel offers an excellent buffet for breakfast (generally free or a nominal fee for hotel guests). Buffet also offers a good lunch and dinner for half price for hotel guests if you are not inclined to try local cuisine. Within 400 meters of hotel, there are 4 shopping malls, a main subway stop (Zumaio), two movie theaters, many dining options. Staff excellent and always an English speaker available. Although a non-smoking hotel, 3 floors of rooms available for smokers. Good gym, ping pong and pool table available. Outdoor pool on 5th floor BUT swim caps must be worn over hair at all times. Truly an excellent choice for the Western traveler.

The hotel is excellent, the dining room for breakfast and dinner presents good that is varied and well cooked, but lukewarm.the used plates and utensils are not cleared from tables. When they are after asking you are expected to use used dirty cutlery for your next course. The toaster does not work properly, you are e PE to spread frozen hard butter, which is impossible of course. The staff are friendly and obliging, but need further training to ensure the restaurant service is 100%.
The idea that you are asked to sign your bill for your buffet dinner as soon as you arrive in the restaurant is a strange and unacceptable idea.
My partner and I were told nicely that we were only entitled to one breakfast between us twice, this apparently was a mistake sent to the restaurant from the receptions computer system, the restaurant staff apologised and gifted us a nice cake to apologise. Unfortunately it happened again two days later. Overlall the hotel in my view is excellent, the staff also, just a little bit more training in service in the restaurant.

Very friendly manner from desk to room service. The 19th floor lounge are exceptionally considerate. Even the so-called afternoon tea becomes a mini-buffet for dinner ! All staff greeted you on the hall and make you feel welcome like home coming.

I have been staying in Crowne Plaza many years. I now feel that the room is very tired and seriously needs upgrading. Poor lighting in room, poor lighting in bathroom. Very stuffy room, TV remote control in Chinese characters only, Minibar could not close, Carpet needs to be cleaned better

It’s a nice stroll to local landmarks. Warm welcome on arrival, but a bit hit and miss for the rest of the stay. Received an upgrade that allowed access to the club lounge. Found that you need to get their early in the morning for breakfast as the food starts to look a bit old later. The main breakfast area is recommended. Comfortable.

Have stayed at this hotel every year and find it pleasant. This time it bothered me that they did not fix the clogged sink and the cleaning lady did not bother to report it as an issue. In addition, of all the years I have come to China, I have not got food poisoning; this time, after after eating lunch at this hotel on my last day stay, within the hour my stomach was in a lot of pain.

Hotel had cigarette smoke smell and the room had a cigarette smell on the first day. Didn't smell it in the room later on. It's an older hotel but had a great pool and sauna. Breakfast was pricey but plenty of options within walking distance of hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hotel staff very helpful in writing down addresses in Chinese for the cab drivers and pointing me in the right direction for things I was looking for. I would stay again if in the area.

Very convenient location, Ling Nan Tian di is just blocks away within walking distance, a local supermarket right behind the hotel, a lot of restaurants and shopping around the hotel as well. Very professional and friendly staff. Fast wifi, great TV channel options. In room safe available which is very useful for tourists who want to lock away IDs and money. Couple improvement needed though: First, fliers are available at the lobby and by the computer desk in the room promoting seasonal events and service around, we did not find out the wonderful massage package and the Chinese New Year events around the neighborhood until the day before we checked out, so we missed out on the good deal. The front desk should probably promote them when guests check in.
Second, maybe a miscommunication between the local branch and the head quarter. We booked the hotel through hotel.com, it was stated on the website that a 500 cny will be charged per stay for the accidental deposit, which is very normal since we have to deposit $100 US dollar here anyway, but when we arrived, we were informed 500 per night (the country's definitely of per stay is different than what we have in mind, per stay for us means per booking , one for the whole trip), luckily we have enough cash on hand because we just landed. Lastly, at least one microwave should be provided, maybe near the restaurant for emergency use. I got hungry at 2am on the first day due to jetleg, no where for food

Great stay - reserved two rooms for me and my son. When Checking out the hotel told that that when booking trough Expedia, I would not be getting any of my honors points. Not a big deal , but an un-expected down side of Expedia and the Crown Plaza's policy. I like both Expedia and the Crown Plaza, but getting cheap on giving out the points, leaves a little sour note in the experience.

I stayed with my 84 years old mom at the hotel and the the staff were so friendly and caring. The room was very clean and facilities were top-notched. Authentic and delicious were so easily accessible in the in house restaurants. We ended up staying longer than planed because of the pleasant experience. Thumbs up for this oasis in the urban city.

I had strongly stressed that the room needed was non smoking room but I had received a smoking room despite my request but the front staff was good. They had changed altogether 3 rooms for me. At the end, I was very thankful for the room received. however, hotel seems to have very poor wifi, I can't use wifi quick enough for anytime. This is very bad for me since I'm on my business trip. I had managed to inform them during my check out time and was told that they can provide me with extra connection. So, for this hotel nothing can receive naturally, it is important to let them know or complain at the point of trouble.

Poorest Crowne Plaza ever stayed

Stayed 2nights (16 - 18 sept) with my mum for her family visiting because of the Excellent Location and reasonable price...However the staffs poor service and their rude guest really scare me away...(it is claimed as 5 stars hotel...however...facility: 4 stars, service: 3stars)
- the 2nd days' breakfast, although our table shown \"occupied\" and we left our belongs on the seats, there's a mainlanders-looking male move away our belongings then took our seat, then I asked him to leave and explain this table has been occupied...anyway he refuse and I tangled in arguing with that rude male, we argue so loudly, the staffs nearby should aware...however they didn't come...until I wave them to come to seek for their assist...for the sake of not disturbing others guest or kind of very basic customer service, I really feel shock a stars rating hotel providing such kind of service!
- breakfast really overcrowded, long queue everywhere, no dish, no cup, food container empty...
- the last day morning: we not yet check-out, there's a staff simply get-in our room without ringing the bell or knock the the door (she explained she enter the wrong room)! Then, I locked all the locks to prevent similar case happen. However, 30min later the staffs ring our bell non-stop, then I get up to open the door and have a ask...they said they got the wrong message that our room has been check-out, so they ring the bell for the sake of cleaning-up! Come on! The locks are locked inside! Check-out?! ...

room - waitresses actually greeted us by name on the second day - found that amazing. Room is a little dated but still clean and comfortable. A little challenge to figure out the TV and Remote as everything was in Chinese characters. We would definitely come back for our next trip.
