Convenient Location.

Choose to stay at Casuarina because I wanted to be in a quieter area.
Location is also convenient to my needs having to drive out to another town in a daily basis.
I have stayed here several times.
Room is a little worn out.
Bathroom floor needs a good scrub on the grouts.

The location was so isolated, it was located close to the bus station and a local mall. There were food stalls, some closed and the opened ones were all local food. The check in was quick. The room was okay at first. The bed and the night stands were less than a foot from the floor (too low). The TV was small and all except one channel were in local language. The room was not fixed the next day when we came back at night. When I called down to the front desk, she was dare to ask me \"did I request to have the room fixed\". That was an insult to me, and it was unacceptable. The drain in the shower was partially clogged the first night, and almost fully clogged the second night.

We were given Rooms 311 and 312. Room 311 ...we checked in at 5pm but did not come back to occupy the room until 10:30pm. The aircon did not work and was given only an alternate 309, the aircon was also not functioning well even at 16 Centigrade. The bathroom lights were dingy and the cabinet lights could not be switched off as the cabinet doors could not be closed completely. I had to sleep facing the other way to avoid light shining into the eyes. I don't think they are managing the maintenance well. I would not recommend!..........Dr Devanand

It is really clean and the windows are full height from the ground to the ceiling, so you get a complete view of the mountains.

Darvin was very communicative and attentive to our needs. Was able to understand

The circle ground in front of the hotel has a night carnival with car racing, bouncy, castles and ebikes to rent.

There is a lot of food to try around, if you are willing to eat under a makeshift shelter tent.

The natural view is terrific from the hotel, the natural areas within 5 km like the eco park should be visited.

Okay Experience. Can Be Improved.

Pro: Reception staff was good. We've been upgraded to Studio Suite with a nice dataran view.

Cons:
1. The bathroom was a bit smelly (bau kepam). Luckily we brought our eucalyptus spray.
2. The corner for most of the furnitures (i.e. tables) are sharp. My 2 year-old daughter had hit her head several times.
3. Our request for extra blanket or towel was not entertained with a reason the hotel does not provide extras. Reason for us to request for extra blanket or towel is because our kid is cold at night. Never had problem with other hotels on this basic additional request before.
4. Would be much better if the hotel is equipped with a swimming pool.

Very badly designed property. Not suitable for hotel. As there are Insufficient parking in the day as the whole parking area was all occupied by the workers from the 2 office block.

The car park is not guarded and dark at night with no covered and illuminated walkway. It’s dangerous to walk alone and During rain will have difficulties to access without getting wet.

And since it’s a open car park, anybody can just drive in, so security is out of control.

Good hotel with one bad staff ruined my day

My room was upgraded to suite. Foods and services are very good except one receptionist on night shift that day. I ask for permission to call my husband since i left my room key with him while he was out to buy some goods for our baby. He droped me at lobby and forgot to give the room key. We actually came back from dinner outside.It was after midnight. She not even threw a single smile. I thought i can used the reception phone. But she let me used her mobile phone. Called was not picked up and i asked if can unlocked my room. I have a baby with me.Without even looking at me she shouted to the bell man asked to unlocked my room. The bell man that day was very nice and polite. Not like the receptionist. Not show courtasy at all. Please train her more about customer service. Others receptionist was very warm and polite.

Love the strong water pressure in the shower. The low bed takes a bit of getting use to but it was comfortable enough although I don’t understand the cocept as it was not a Japanese themed hotel. The food is average. The location is a bit out of the city centre but near the new bus terminal. For those looking to have an alcoholic beverage, note that the hotel does not serve alcohol. Was told that if you are having a function there, you can bring your own liquor or beer but you will need to supply your own glasses and server!

I really like this hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room also very spacious and comfortable. Located near to MAPS, one of the attraction in Ipoh, only 5 minutes of driving. The variety of menu provided during breakfast are good and delicious.

Comfortable and good holiday break.

Its a good get away holiday hotel.out from being too close to the busy ipoh town. Loves the front 'bulatan' park ,a very nice weekend night family recreation. There are a good numbers of eateries and weekend night market nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful. My suggestion is to have a bit more different variety of food for breakfast buffet. Thanks.

Just OK hotel, good location from highway

The front desk where you check-in is the first blunder. Staff doesn't even know who's standing in line to check-in. If you don't push your way through to get the staff's attention, then you might not make your turn to check-in. That's the situation when I was there.

Then, they checked me into a room that was already occupied by other guests! It's a first for me in hotels in 30+ countries I've visited. However, that blunder has solved quickly.

This hotel looks nice on booking sites but the guest service at the front desk was extremely lacking. In fact, the bellman and after hours front desk staff were way more professional than the staff during regular hours.

Stay here if you want a hotel that's close to the highway. Else, take your money elsewhere.

Good hotel for short visits to Ipoh

Stayed a night there with my family as we had a wedding nearby. Decided to try this hotel out as it was not too expensive for a family suite (2 rooms). Check in was pleasant enough although at first the duty manager(?) was kind of stand-offish and catered more to a guy who rolled up in a luxury car AFTER ME. But the reception staff that did attend to me totally made me feel at home with his friendliness and concern. Totally saved the day and improved my impression of the hotel.

Room was nice, beds were comfortable but TV reception, although cable, was crap.

Good place to base yourself for visits around the Kinta Valley as it's near the PLUS highway but just minutes from downtown Ipoh. Definitely will stay here again. If there was a swimming pool it will be my automatic choice for a hotel stay in Ipoh.

Room had lingering cigarette smell and cigarette ash was found on the window sill. Bed was poorly designed with 6 legs - my wife and I stubbed our toes more than once on the additional bed legs. The water turned hot and cold during shower. Nothing much nearby, especially food choices.

Considerably new facility so it is still ok. Breakfast selection is average. Room is comfortable but not thorughly cleaned. Hotel is located at Meru which don't really have much to see around except the nearby theme park. If you drive, parking is out in the open and the hotel have very limited parking which is taken by the public at times. The hotel is surrounded by government offices.

Good mountain view. The staff extremely accommodating. Keep up the good work team.

Do note it’s quite far from Ipoh main attraction like the natural hotspring. 20 minutes drive to Lost World but Uber and Grab is accessible so why not?
