Poor maintenance

room carpet is dirty, no shoe provided. glass top table have oily cloudy appearance. wet-dried and clump toilet roll installed, toilet roll cheap quality. pillow have fragrance (big no for me), distract my sleep. good thing is have a lot of plug point, and breakfast is at highest floor with good view (though the food is terrible, just like most hotel in Malaysia).

We were at L16 but the loud music from the lower floor was disrupting our slerp at midnight! We had a long day of travels, the loud trumping music was extremely annoying. There was no shower head in addition to the rain shower. There was no floor matt outside the shower stall, we had puddles. Orherwise, our room Deluxe King was spacious. Staff at breakfast at L20 was very good, great selection and great view.

The room no. 1010 carpet had dot and mark. The toilet mirror holder is dusty. The room is very dark. It is unbeliavable this less than 5 years hotel condition is worst than 26 years old Syuen hotel. The car park is very dark. The only good things is the buffet breakfast and unlimited welcome drinks. I am paying RM160 for a superior room without window but the size of the room is 1/3 of Syeun hotel romm with window that only cost me RM190. Furthermore the room rate for walk in customer is cheaper than dome other guest whose book the room 2 to 3 days prior Chinese New year eve around RM35.

Not a great experience upon arrival. Arrived at 3pm, room wasn't ready. Waited 45 minutes, given refreshments while waiting. Hotel decided to extend a different room on higher floor. Staff remained friendly throughout, thanks and good job Prema.

Good was good however, tasty and good spread during breakfast. Hospitality was great overall.

The initial room we booked had cigarette smoke smell so we asked for a change. Duty manager, Havinash, not only helped us changed our room within a few minutes but upgraded us to a bigger family room. And on the last day we were late in checking out due to some unforeseen delays. We were supposed to be charged for half a day stay but the front desk staff did not charge us at all! Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Ipoh, cause the location is excellent too, with lots of food, drink holes and shopping within walking distance or a short drive.

Staff friendly especially Prema was very helpful. She gave suggestions and tips on where to go to see the sights. Good to have the local’s recommendations. Our stay would have been better if the hotel had a weighing machine available for us to weigh our luggage.

Convenient location near highway so a good stop to break a long journey. BUT Ipoh is a good place for a holiday and the hotel is within 20 minutes drive of some good and interesting places to eat.
Was not keen on the decor in the bathroom which makes it difficult to keep clean and would much prefer white or light coloured towels. Dark towels make me suspicious of the cleanliness. Apart from that we had a pleasant stay.

Black dirt from air conditioner vent....

We stayed 2 nights in a superior room at MH hotel. The room smelt of smoke upon entering. No floor mats and face towels were provided. There were only bath towels which were old and well used. We feedback to the front desk and subsequently it was provided for when we returned in the evening. Black dirt fell from the air conditioner vent onto the bed. Needs servicing bad. The next day, the beddings were nicely made with a candy bar provided by Housekeeping. Not sure if it’s their std procedure or as a good gesture after the feedback. Mcdonalds is just downstairs, convenient. This is our second time there and probably will not go back there so soon..

The hotel is ok, but I feel the rooms should be cleaned better. A bit old and could use some renovations. The daytime staff were friendly, but late night staff not so much. Breakfast was fantastic with a very large selections.

1. Sound from water flowing down from top bathroom (another room) above is so significant. Need to improve the sound proof insulation.
2. Had experienced power cut off due to one of the wall light bulb burst.

Convenience and Clean

The hotel is located right off the north-south highway and easily found. It is right next a McDonald's drive thru so no need to worry about food. Walking distance to TESCO and AEON. Lots of nearby shops with food and drinks.
Room was clean, water pressure very good.

Pro:Lots variety of breakfast buffet choices, really clean hotel room, with good staff service. Nice panorama with big windows spacious and comfortable room. This hotel provides ample space for its parking lots. Its also nearby good restaurant shopping malls and even petrol station. Nice hotel with all the convienience its promise. Definitely worth a stay in the future. What really suprise us is, its serve variety of fresh juice for breakfast and give us a coupon for free flow of complimentary ice cream.

Continent location and easy access to the highway and other main roads. Breakfast spread was OK and the bar & lounge at Level 7 was hip and entertaining.

Should have properly communicated (in its website or otherwise) about its spa facilities which is apparently closed for renovation.

Overall room (Premier King) was simple and decent, but could do with a bit more lighting. Bed was comfortable but I am not so sure about the flooring in the bathroom.

Hotel room is spacious, air condition working fine. Bed is ok, but pillow is too high for my family. Bfast is okay, although quite similar throughout the 5 days stay. Nice view from the 20th floor restaurant.

have problem with the room keycard most of the day, need to reset it almost everyday.
need to re-login the wifi every time you want to use the internet, troublesome.

Terrible experience.

I was allotted a family suite on the 8th floor and everything is fine and when I came home after a wonderful dinner in a restaurant on the ground floor( that's the purpose of my stay here) at 10 pm. I heard music blasting and slight vibration from a night club on the 6th floor, until 3 am in the morning. I can't change floor as I understand it's standard for online booking. Will never do online booking again. As I will be coming again this coming CNY I already booked and pay direct to another hotel for the stay.

the staff allow us to check in early because we have infants traveling together and they really need a place to rest. very grateful for that. The bar on 7th floor was great place to countdown for christmas, and there is fireworks show too. Breakfast was served at 20th floor, excellent view there, great idea.

Non smoking rooms smells cigarette smoke

The rooms stank of cigarette odour. We took 2 rooms, both smelled bad. One was worse than the other so the hotel managed to change that room for another. The hotel seemed fully booked, so perhaps that is why the cleanliness was lacking.

Okay place to stay

There are ample of choices in terms of food at nearby Festive Walk, in particular Asian and local cuisines. There are some number of pubs and bistros there as well in case you wish to enjoy the night and drink. It's quite close to Tambun, and if you plan to go Lost World, it's a suitable place to stay for a night.
