This hotel was good for just passing through. If I had to stay more then 10 hours I would have left. The rooms were clean on the surface. I have stayed in much worse but this was OK for what I needed it for and that was sleep and then back on the road.

The property needs a huge update.

The staff was absolutely amazing and friendly and kind.

My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The employee who checked me in had no customer service skills. He simply handed me my key and gave no information about where my room was located, checkout time, or where and when breakfast was served.
The room itself was very outdated. The carpet looked extremely old, the TV was very small and difficult to turn on with no instructions, and the phone in the room didn’t work. The biggest issue was the shower, which did not work at all. Because the phone was broken, I had to walk down to the front desk to report it. Despite the parking lot being nearly empty, I was told I could not switch rooms. Instead, I was given a key to another room just to take a shower and then return to my room.
There was also a visible opening near the AC unit where you could see straight into the parking lot. On the side of the building where my room was located, most of the parking lot lights were not working, so I parked under the only light so I could see my car.
An alarm in an empty room on my floor went off all night and was never turned off.
In the morning there was no one at the front desk and no instructions for checkout or a key drop box, so I had to leave my key on the counter. About 45 minutes later, while already driving back to South Carolina, I received a text and email asking me to check out.
The only positive part of the stay was the night shift employee who allowed me to use another room to take a shower in another room.

The tv wouldn't come one, it took forever for the water to get hot in the bathroom, the toilet is too low (this can't be the only size in all rooms - we are not \"little people\"), the door really didn't lock, the curtains/drapes were not properly install, stains on the pillow case, Hvac system was noisy, no directional signs listed for the elevated (took forever to get to it because it's deep with the property), staff did not provide check in information such as wifi password, breakfast (no separation of utensils to use for each food item; no napkins, no pepper, no fruit, no water) and check out time.

There was a sign on the front desk when we got there that said Agent away from desk have a seat and wait a while. Someone from Housekeeping noticed us, went to an office came back and said he will be out in few minutes. After a 15 minute wait and calling the front desk he came out and said he was in a meeting that is why the sign is there. Then instead of checking us in right away he walked over to see what packages had been delivered. Once in the room we found our TV not working. I will never stay at this location again

The room felt very dated overall. The TV did not work, and the key card reader on the side door wasn’t functioning, which meant having to walk around to the front entrance each time. The bathtub did not appear properly cleaned, and the bed frame stuck out in a way that caused me to repeatedly hit my toe. Overall, the room was uncomfortable and in need of maintenance and updates.

At one point, the service was nonexistent. I need to switch rooms due to several issues: the sheets were dirty, there was a dead bug in the light fixture, the showerhead sprayed water everywhere except where it should, the bathtub had uneven water flow, and there were bugs in the window curtains that wouldn’t close.

When night fell, I went to the front desk and waited 15 minutes for a staff member. There was only one person on duty, and he chose to step outside for a marijuana break. Additionally, the side door of the building was propped open with a lotion bottle, allowing anyone to enter at will.

I also paid an extra $10 per night for two queen beds, but I was charged $30 instead. When I spoke to the manager, he claimed the charge was processed through Canary and that he couldn’t assist. Before my arrival, I received a message from Wyndham suggesting I check in early and choose additional add-ons, which included the double beds for $10 a night.

Despite these numerous issues, management did not offer any discount or compensation for my troubles. I would never recommend this location and will not return. If you’re visiting Dover, I suggest staying elsewhere.

We had a seven day stay and I had to get new keys 5 times. I travel a fair amount and knew to keep the keys away from other electronics but we still had issues. There was no notice when the side door stopped working. One desk clerk couldn’t got off his personal calls to talk to anyone. He had his phone to his ear the entire time. We will never stay there again.

I would not recommend this property to anyone who loves their lives. Long dark, dirty hallway takes you to a poorly upkept room. The toilet doesn't have enough water pressure to flush, outlets do not work and they provide a super tiny mini fridge that sits on the floor

Impressive outside, no so inside

Place looked great from the outside and pics also impressed but that stopped at the hallway leading to the elevators. Water damage apparent on 1st floor carpets accompanied with odor. Room was passable but tub could use some grit, too slippery for shower. Wall thermostat was inop and hanging by wires but normal room unit worked fine. This is one of the last places I would stay in Dover.

It was July 4th, the pool wasn’t open. The hotel was musty and dingy, the air conditioning was not turned on in my room and for an incoming check in on a hot July day, a/c would’ve been nice. The restaurant wasn’t open, I understand it was a holiday but it was unfortunate there wasn’t any other option because a lot of other places were closed too. The property is just on the older side, needs some cleaning and updating. For the price, I would’ve expected a bit more, but overall my actual room and stay were comfortable enough.

My daughter is picky and looks for signs of infestation. Didnt really find any, which is good. But while she was searching she woke me to show empty bottles of liquor pushed under the bed. At least one cigarette butt and skittles on floor. Either a guest shived them under the bed and housekeeping neglected to clean it or housekeeping just swept the mess under the beds. Highly recommend looking under the beds. We arrived around 12:30-1 am because of fireworks so this could have been missed, and was by me..initially.

At check in they wanted every pice of information again! If I fill it out online as requested why do I have to do it again. The hall carpet are old and stained . The lifts have old gum on the floors, the halls are dark and smelly. None of the ice machines work and the back and side entrance door access does not work. It needs a great overhaul and management that gives a dam.

It started right after check in. My room door wouldn’t open. The door lock was messed up . Not the key.
Then the TV wouldn’t work. They said the box wasn’t set correctly. They reset that. Had to come back because the remote wasn’t working. I ended up with one remote to turn the TV on and adjust the volume and another remote to change the channels. The next morning the cook decided not to show up so there goes our complimentary hot breakfast. Ice machine didn’t work.
Overall the place looked old and dated. A one and done. I’ll stay elsewhere if there is a next time.

First we had to move rooms due to tv not working. Front desk said they fix problem and tried but made me go check out new room and move. The side exit is where people go to smoke. Area is filthy with butts and weed smell. Breakfast was terrible. Cold eggs bacon and no milk for cereal. No butter for toast. Next morning same cold food and no power on food warming trays. Still no milk. Staff said they were waiting on delivery. Surly and not helpful. No coffee in lobby. We’ve stayed in other hotels in Dover so I would recommend comfort inn. NEVER HERE AGAIN.

Not worth the money it sucks

We smelled marijuana and cigarettes everywhere in the hotel.
We had switch rooms because of the key not working and the TV not working and the faucet in the bathroom had no water pressure.
I have to say that Patrick Jones the Manager was very professional and helpful.
I would only go back if he was on duty.
The hotel hallways are dirty.
Parking lot is trashed.
Go here at your own risk.

upon arrival, there was a hand written note that said \"left desk, be back ASAP\". Standing there with bags for half hour with two other guest trying to check in. Upon standing there my visual started intake. The bellhop carts were too dirty to put my bags on. The floors were not vacuumed, lots of debris. Literally paper trash on floor in front of front desk. There was a stinch of uncleanness. One front desk person arrived he began my check-in. He asked \"Do you want receipt?\" i said \"YES\" , he said why? Excuse me, im not accustomed to paying without proof. Walking down hallway to get to my room, there were all kinds of people in corners and doorways before i made it to elevator. A young kid who received two rolls of toliet paper from front desk guy, let someone in from side door stairwell, elevator was not working, major debris in hallway. The place hadn't been cleaned since i don't know when. This is a place where low income families live. Its run down. Upon entering my dirty room....i couldn't even set my bags down....took a white towel ran it in the crease of the chair and BINGO! BEDBUGS! I never made it to the mattress, i flew out that room!

Stay away from 3rd floor emergency exit near elevator the door slams constantly all night long because it’s broken. Beds are very hard and noisy. Housekeeping service is limited if any. They didn’t clean rooms or refresh towels during stay.

Older hotel, 3rd floor stairs near the elevator door slams very loudly every time someone goes in or out. The closing mechanism must be broke definitely an older property. Thin walls mattresses are hard and lumpy, but for the price it could be much worse. I would definitely consider staying here again if I need a cheap place this stay.

I really like this hotel! VERY COMFORTABLE!!! I booked this hotel based on price. After booking I read reviews and was really put off. I read multiple \"bad reviews\" that made me a little worried. When I arrived, I was greeted immediately. Very quick and easy check-in process! I walker to my room, so that I had a point of reference where I should park and was happy to see that I had a spot right outside of my rooms window. I opened the door of my room and caught the wonderful \"clean smell. No odor! Turned on the lights. VERY CLEAN! I SLEPT LIKE A ROCK! VERY COMFORTABLE BED!!! My ONLY ISSUE was the breakfast time was too late for me to eat before heading to my job site. Overall great, quiet and comfortable! Good job!!!
