Don’t be put off by the picture
We were just passing through Altenburg staying for one night so booked this based on price rather than aesthetic appeal and had no expectations of greatness.
We were very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The room was large and clean with a good bathroom.
The bar also helped things along.
Overall I would recommend this hotel, it is much better than the picture would suggest.

Even though the room description said “free wifi”, I had no internet connection. The staff at the front desk couldn’t be less friendly. Did not even to try to solve the problem. Gave an indifferent sorry as it is what it is.

Wir waren um 19:30 Uhr im Hotel und wollten einchecken. Check In bis 20:00 Uhr. Da wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass das Zimmer umgebucht wurde. Da laut AGBs bis 18:00 Uhr bei Bezahlung vor Ort eingecheckt werden muss. Da es ja bei AGBs 100 Seiten in Mikroschrift gibt die sich eh keiner durchliest, hatten wir kein Zimmer mehr. Das könnte man auch beim CheckIn mit vermerken. Habe die Expedia App gelöscht und buche nun bei anderen Anbietern.

Midtpåtreethotel preget av 90-tallet.
Vi kom sent på kvelden etter en laaang kjøretur. Ingen i resepsjonen, og måtte ringe et telefonnummer, all informasjon på tysk, burde vært på engelsk også. Rommet var rent, men forferdelig varmt. Ingen Aircondition. Men for den prisen man betalte var det vel ikke mer å vente. Men at det ikke er noen i resepsjonene på natta er spesielt.
Hva skjer dersom det begynner å brenne? Hvem har da ansvaret for å bistå å hjelpe? Selv om hotellet bører preg av 90-tallet på alle måter er det rent og vedlikeholdt.

Hallo, mein Freund und ich wollten Leipzig besuchen. Von diesem Hotel gibt es eine direkt Verbindung mit dem Zug. Der Bahnhof befindet ca.10min. Fußläufig vom Hotel entfernt.

Nicht gut fanden wir, dass die Rezeption an 2 Tagen nicht besetzt Ware.Auch beim Auschecken war nirgends ein Mitarbeiter/ in vorzufinden, so dass wir den Schlüssel und den Betrag, den wir noch schuldig waren einfach hinter den Tresen abgelegt haben. Die schöne Bar konnten wir bewundern, leider gab es keine Getränke, da kein Personal irgendwo zu finden war. Am Anreisetag waren die Damen an der Rezeption sehr freundlich.Leider haben wir sie nicht mehr grsetwährend des Aufenthaltes.

Das Hotel ist nicht mehr auf der Höhe der Zeit. Man verlangt Abrechnung vor dem Bezug. Die Zimmer sind spartanisch eingerichtet und ohne Style. Das Wasser war fast abgestellt, nur ein Rinnsal. Begründung waren Sparmaßnahmen. Das Bad war/ist verschimmelt. Auf dem Teppich waren Flecken. Die Rezeption ist nur wenige Minuten am Tag besetzt. Ankömmlinge in der Nacht mussten trotz Internetanmeldung eine neue Unterkunft suchen.

Leider war ich mit dem Hotel überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Ich bin ein paar Minuten vor 15.00 Uhr im Hotel angekommen. Man ließ mich, obwohl ich stark verschwitzt war ( in Altenburg am Bahnhof wird gebaut und da muß man mit seinem Koffer eine hohe steile Treppe hoch und dann wieder hinunter) warten. Kurz nach 15.00 Uhr sagte ich dann, ob der Herr nun endlich Zeit hatte. Gut man gab mir dann einen Zimmerschlüssel.Im Zimmer angekommen sah ich dann, das der Verdunkelungsvorhang ein Stück herausgerissen war. Ich bekam dann ein anderes Zimmer. Ich wollte dann duschen und da merkte ich das der Knopf für die Dusche nicht in Ordnung war. Ich habe es dann notdürftig hinbekommen. Am nächsten Tag habe ich es dann reklamiert und mir wurde zugesichert, daß es in Ordnung gebracht wird. Aber leider ist bis zur Abreise nichts passiert. Was mich auch sehr gestört hat, das nie jemand an der Rezeption saß. Auch die Zimmerreinigung läßt zu wünschen übrig. Man muss extra ein Zimmerschild in einen Kasten werfen, damit am nächsten Tag gereinigt wird. Dieses Hotel hat keine 3 Sterne verdient.

Ich hatte das falsche Zimmer bekommen (1 Queenbett und 1 Einzelbett gebucht und 2 Einzelbetten bekommen), sauberkeit war nicht wirklich gegeben.. Flecken auf Teppich und schmutzige Bettwäsche, abgestaubt wurde hier auch schon lange nicht mehr. Die Lüftung im Badezimmer ging nicht und das Licht dort hat ca 2 Minuten gebraucht bis es an ging. Alles kostet extra, sogar die Zimmerreinigung.

Auf Nachfrage wurden die 2 Fahrräder im Flur untergebracht. Immerhin. Das Zimmer riecht verjaucht, auch das Fluten aller Syphons bringt keine Abhilfe. Das Frühstück ist komplett - aber in jedem Bereich minderwertig. Kein Kaffee, nur Instant-Geschmack aus den 80ern. Wer nach 10 Uhr auscheckt wird grosse Mühe haben Personal zu finden: die \"sind da am Frühstücken\" (Zitat). 15 Min. ärgerliche und vermeidbare Telefonate klären die Abreise. Danke nein, das ist einfach schlecht.
