It's a bit of a mixed bag. Let me start with whatbwas stellar. I think I interacted with three staff members - front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast area. I could not ask for a more accommodating, kind crew.

Now let's talk the property... I was warned that that building has recently started a renovation. However, the cookie on floor in my closet is an invitation for ants, mice, or even roaches. The attention to detail here lacked.

The property has an inner courtyard where smoking is allowed along the walkways. This is disappointing. The little sand pots were littered with butts and whatnot and quite frany stunk, even in the cool spring. I wish smoking were only in one area.

The door along the stairwell behind the yellow elevator was constantly propped open using a rock. This didn't lend itself to feeling secure. Not really a fan of allowing this.

Finally, the workout area needs attention. I hope the renovation addresses this. It lacks ventilation, most of the cario equipment doesn't work, and the general state of repair lacks.

The room was comfortable. The staff was friendly. The parking was good due to we had a trailer we were hauling. The hot tub was nice. The exercise room had a few exercise machines that didn’t work, torn seats and not in good condition. They were in the middle of repairs and redoing the hotel so a lot was under construction. Breakfast was okay. Not too much to choose from. Overall it was a good stay.

The rooms were dirty. The wonderful woman behind the counter did her best and moved me to several different rooms. She was very patient and understanding. I saw on Expedia it had an 8.2 rating and some good reviews, so I thought it would be acceptable. Corporate needs to put some effort into this place. Not only the inside, but the American Flag flying out front is torn and tattered.

I'm not even sure where to start on how disappointing this stay was. With the reviews it had, I thought we would have a clean, nice play to stay and I have never been more wrong. The property was clearly outdated, but that was not the issue. It was visibly dirty and moldy. The couch cushion was still 'up'. The beds crunched like we were sleeping on a waterproof mattress pad so every roll was crunchy. The bed was hard. There was a used bar of soap in the tub. The shower head bulleted water on you and it was mildewed closed so you couldn't adjust it. Clumps of hair in the shower curtain. Some type of mold/rust surrounding the mirror. Because the vent didn't work, water stains down every wall. The tv was tilted sideways and was so old, the picture quality was affected.

According to the front desk at check in, there was no way to get to the pool and hot tub without going outside in zero degree temps. Turns out there was a sketchy stairwell we could take instead that was inside connecting the properties. The pool area itself was like no other. Mold everywhere, cigarette bud, tampon, rust, zero ventilation so it was so steamy you couldn't see the person in front of you, wet soda covering the tables even after they 'cleaned' after it closed. The paint was peeling everywhere. No towels. They said they were slowly remodeling, but there was mold growing where they were 'remodeling'. The rust on the bathroom doors was so weird given they were inside.

The staff was great, helpful and efficient.

Limited breakfast as most of the food was still to arrive/to be delivered to the hotel at 8:30am when I asked front desk clerk if there was breakfast available.
Room we had was supposed to have two double beds - they were singles.
Ceiling in room was stained - maybe from water damage from room above?
Rooms and hotel in general was old/aged and needed renovating. Bed linen was dirty and smelled like body odour / sewage.
Pool room had no air circulation or ventilation - so much moisture and chlorine fumes which irritated eyes and affected breathing. Water from pool area entered exercise/work out room which looked like a flood occurred.
I would avoid staying here unless you are not travelling with kids and is a quick stop over without using any amenities or expecting breakfast. Get a room with a queen bed.

The pool and hot tub were very nice and made our children very happy! Highly recommend this property!!! Room was very clean and close to the pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, a variety of hot and cold options.
I only had 2 complaints:
1. Too many mosquitoes in the pool area. Something to ward them off would be nice.
2. The washer and dryer require quarters, yet there was no change machine, and the front desk had none to provide either. I had to leave the property to obtain. My grandson had gotten sick in the car, and I needed to wash his blanket and pillow.

Manager was rude and lazy

I’m a contractor, every 3 days I need to do laundry. I booked for 4 days. The first and second day I requested quarters from the front desk they simply didn’t have “any left” and I made sure to pronounce that on the 3rd day they would have quarters. Upon asking on the 3rd day I was still given none. I expressed my displeasure by saying “I’m VERY DISAPPOINTED with the service” to which the manager from her office yelled “it’s not our responsibility to supply quarters”
I stay at many hotels and have never had a hotel MANAGER be rude to me because she (or someone else) can’t give me a straight answer to begin with, or go to the bank.
I’ve been using the Hilton honors app a lot recently and decided to use hotels.com for this stay. All this did was make me realize why I use Hilton honors. Comfort inn was not to comforting. Will likely go back to using Hilton here on out.

Deadbolt would not work and in need of repair. Room was fairly clean but pull out couch was gross and dirty. Staff and management are willing to work with us on the situation though. Food on the breakfast buffet was cold, but many options were available.

Although this is part of an excellent chain we cannot recommend this hotel. They are undergoing extensive renovations and although we enjoyed our stay on Sunday night going to Michigan for a longer stay we did not enjoy our stay on Thursday night going home. The room was clean but overall we did not enjoy our stay. Don't like to give bad reviews.

Our car broke down, and we got a room while waiting for it to get fixed. The hotel is older and could use some updating, but the staff is the real reason to stay.

The Blonde lady at the front desk is rude.

Rude front desk middle aged blonde woman with bad attitude. Terrible service from her. But everyone else I dealt with was really nice. She is a problem and will cost you business. You absolutely never accuse a guest of theft unless you have PROOF AND EVEN THEN YOU NEED TO CONTACT THE MANAGER TO ENSURE COMPANY POLICY IS FOLLOWED. NEVER EVER IS IT ACCEPTABLE TO YELL AND ACCOST A GUEST (ESPECIALLY IN THE LOBBY OF THE HOTEL AND IN FRONT OF OTHER GUESTS. ) I am absolutely appalled by this and I would have said something at check out but would anything really be done about the blonde lady?( who is the face of your company when behind that desk.) that kind of behavior needs to be put in check or it will tank your profits and ruin all the hard work of other to uphold the brand standard of comfort suites .

Comfort, Safety, and accommodations are of upmost importance to the hospitality industry. You guess missed all three marks this day. But it’s fixable! Strive to fix a couple problems a day. Be a problem solver not a problem maker.

4/13/25-4/14/25 my night in the trap house.

The blonde lady at reception was over the top rude and not friendly at all. Seemed annoyed that I had a problem with my reservation because I used a 3rd party service (hotels.com) I had to use the online chat and hotels.com fixed the whole situation. In the business off hospitality you should want to help your guests if they ever have a problem with their reservation, I mean that is your income! Everyone else I encountered were pleasant and happy to be there. I actually met the general manager in passing in the breakfast room. (Breakfast ends at 9?more like 8) she was a very nice lady.at first I actually thought she was a guest there too. Hot tub was a dirty cold tub. But plenty of towels At pool. Overall Clean but key card locks for the safety of the guests did not work. The only one that worked was the one to my room. Because of that I will give this (not safe) hotel overall a 1 out of 5 fix the key card readers and doors that don’t shut to the exterior of the building. I would give an easy 3out of 5. Don’t fire the blonde lady. It’s not her fault she can not understand (yet) the meaning of the hospitality business. Overall friendly staff I’m just hoping the lady that checked me in was having a bad week. Love the fire place by the front desk. Good place if you need space for small events. Definitely has the potential to be able to double if not triple its revenue. Starting now it should be EVERY GUEST. EVERY TIME. Never know which person is going to be the one to do this…

It’s a no go!

Our hotel room smelled musty, and there were water marks/bubbles on the ceiling. Beds were clean and comfortable. Everything is old, needs a remodel bad. The walls were dirty and there was a sprite left in the fridge so I knew the fridge wasn’t cleaned. Went down to breakfast, there was just eggs (which were nasty) and cereal. Apparently there truck didn’t show. I asked to have the waffle mix filled in which a lady got up from the chair where she was sitting on her phone and put new batter in but the machine was clogged. We went to Cracker Barrel. I would not recommend nor stay here. Very rundown with staff that does not care.

So first off the Tv was super small and couldn’t watch anything on tv. Secondly the beds was super small and very low to the floor and the sink in the bathroom when you turned it on at first had straight up brown water coming out of it and then to wake up for a shower the water pressure sucked and had none and the water was brown when you first turned it on. So all in all the hotel sucked.

There was no security....didn't have to swipe a room key to enter any doors...even to the pool. The one door was even left accessible with the lock out so the door remained open. The springs on the mattress were felt while laying on the bed. The hot tub was murky and smelled like dead fish...not clean...the pool on the other hand was nice. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant.

The lobby and breakfast room were clean and updated. The breakfast was hot and delicious and plentiful even though we ate late. Staff were helpful and friendly.
However our room was disgusting. It was outdated and water damage in the ceiling. It had an unpleasant musty odor when we walked in. Burn marks on the edge of the bathtub.
Filth on the curtains and the door. It definitely could use some love and updating.

Accommodating front desk staff

Our first room had a loud air conditioning unit because the fan was going out. They moved us to another that was worse. They moved us to a third where the unit didn’t work at all and smelled musty. Finally, since we were moved 4 times, they upgraded us to the Presidential Suite at no extra cost. It was great! The day and evening front desk staff were so accommodating on 8/29/24 which was also our anniversary.

I liked the location but it was note 4 star hotel, in my opinion. Pending charges for the motel was 2 !/2 times what it cost.... and I am watching my bank account to see what i am actually charged, get ready for a dispute if not corrected, The manager, Sherry Steele, was very professional and ASSURED me this will all be corrected after my check out. PLUS my grandson charged a snack for $4.54 And two more charges for the room were pending on his card..What the freak!!. I was also assured these charges would be dropped within 24 hrs after check out Saturday am. They could not tell me why this even happened!!! and they had us as a \"no show\" on Thursday night. We arrived and were given our room keys about 6:30 pm Thursday. She did not know how that happened either. Our charges better be cleared up.soon.
