The office staff were all very professional and friendly. My visit was due to flooding of my home from the Ohio river. I wasn’t informed until the evening of 4-3 that I needed to evacuate now, as the River was over the bank and would continue flooding the area. I haven’t driven at night time in 6-7 years, so the drive over to the hotel was extremely stressful for me. The hotel allowed my late arrival. One thing I really appreciated, was the way they spaced the hotel guests. We weren’t on top of each other. I was able to park in front of my room which was great. The room was quiet. Only negative : The room—especially the carpeting, needs a really deep cleaning. On the positive side: I booked from Wednesday evening thru Saturday. After finding out the water was receding a day earlier than expected I checked out on Friday morning to get back home to see the damage. I had paid up front and the young lady wasn’t sure if I could get a refund for the day and a half I wouldn’t be there. After waiting less than a week, I was happy that the manager gave me a credit. I will stay at this Travel Lodge in Parkersburg, WV again, as I felt safe, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet.

Was lying in bed attempted to get some sleep when I started feeling biting coming what appeared to be bed bugs on the left forearm appeared to be 4 bite marks and welts then on the same side wrist area appeared 2 more. I do have photographs as Proof for this matter. I Am not a Happy Person.

NO BATH TOWELS ON PROPERTY

As large as this place is, very few guests. Paint colors outdated, holes in wall. But!!! Here is the kicker...NO BATH TOWELS. Went to front desk, told \"running very low\" wash them as get, will have me fresh ones. Arrived, floor mat and 2 hand towels. I was cracked!! BUY BATH TOWELS!!! Addicts need to stop stealing.

They charged a $20 pet fee for my dog. Entire hotel area was full of dog poop all over the sidewalks and parking lot. No proper place to walk your dog. No lighting in the very small grassy area. Definitely won't stay there again!!

All the room was dirty, the bed, blankets, air conditioning, blankets with bad odor, bathtub. The worst, I took pictures of bedbugs in room 109 and all dirty stuff, they move me to other room 416, and when i woke up, i woke up with my face, neck , arms with bugs bites, itching all over my body. My son leave an expensive shoes in the room, and shoes disappear. I went to the front desk and claim it, and the receptionist treat me very nasty. I don't have more way to rent another hotel at the time because was too late and i came from Florida ,driving14 hours, i stay for this 3 days but i spent in blankets, towels, etc. And i keep my belongings in my car, isn't a safe place.

The property is run down. Reserved for 5 didn't have rollaway for 5th person that's advertised on their site. Had to stay because there was no where else to stay. We called about being a late arrival they said it was fine then had to wait about 40 minutes because there was no one to check us in. Then the toilet didn't flush properly. The beds were very uncomfortable and the bedding was all stained.

I would not recommend staying here, our room had no sheets on beds and the A/C was laying on one of the beds. I ended up staying elsewhere. I heard by locals they rent the rooms by the hours. Also while waiting to be checked in, they were charging cheaper than their rates and expedia rates.

The 1st room they put me in didn't have a working heater, tried to call the front desk, no answer...twice. 2nd room has hair in many places, tub was dirty, dead bug in the floor, pillow smelled, comforter had a burn hole, carpet was disgusting. Outside appearance were nice. Could be a cute place if they made the rooms match the outside appearance. Check in was quick and the young girl at the desk was friendly.

The overnight desk clerk would not allow me to check in even though I had a reservation but because i attempted to check in late, after the night audit, I was denied my reservation. I stayed parked under the check in awning while I reached out to Orbitz for clarification, refund, relocation - basically next steps. If thats all that it was, I could accept it, but the desk clerk came out to my car repeatedly to bang on my window and berate me, even went as far as opening my car door in order to scream at me. It even happened while on the phone with my roommate who had booked the reservation for me. I had to sleep in my car in a Kroger grocery store parking lot. A young lady who apparently lives at the hotel told me that this isnt the first time this has happened with this particular desk clerk.

We felt very uncomfortable staying in this room. The coffemaker, vanity, and bathtub had not been cleaned. The ruffles on the beds had stains on them. The deadbolt lock would not work. The outside of our door had a lot of debris and trash strewn all around and we had to step over all this to get to our vehicle. Overall, this was a very unpleasant stay.

Your getting exactly what your paying for. My room did have heat and air , a bathroom with hot water. Linens were clean although old and grey. I recommend if you are looking for cheap place to recharge briefly. Don’t expect anything more than what your paying for. No bed buds.

Checked in, looked around the room, left the keys on the table and went in search of acceptable accommodations. Room was gross (no baseboards just rotted drywall and wood, a/c unit propped up with a chunk of wood and a smell of cigarette smoke that was intolerable). Entire hotel was in a run down and dirty condition; the sign stating they don't rent rooms to locals lent to the feeling that this is a hotel where one might go to get a fix and hopefully not OD. Stay somewhere else!

There appears to be a lot of people living in this motel. The carpet is dirty. I did not walk anywhere in my room without my shoes on. The television did not work. They people that were living in the motel had “gardens” planted in pots in the assigned parking place. I did not feel safe there and it was noisy. The receptionist let me stand for about 15 mins in an area that was not well lit. The smoke detector had not battery.

This hotel was disgusting inside and out. Half of what was in the hotel was broken, the light in the bathroom didn’t work, trash wasnt emptied out, homeless people and crackheads everywhere, Trash from the crackheads outside every room, and it just overall looked like someone was murdered in the hotel. Showed up and our room was dirty. We were moved from 125 to 126, which also appeared unclean. I found a housekeeper and she gave me \"pink stuff\", in lieu of disinfectant, in a disposable cup. She was cleaning a room with no gloves and didn't have any to give me. I obtained gloves from a local restaurant and cleaned the hot tub, sink area, and toilet myself. Upon exiting the hot tub I grabbed a towel which was spotted with either fecal matter or blood and I dont mean stained. We pulled the blanket back to find crumpled, soiled sheets and realized the bed was also dirty. We grabbed our stuff, turned our keys in, and left immediately! We tried to make the best of it but it was truly unacceptable. We understand things getting worn and dated but this place is just plain un-cared for and filthy. Expedia/the management granted a full refund but my romantic night away for my fiance's birthday was still ruined. I can't believe Wyndam or Expedia still reps this place. There really are creepy/dirty people hanging around and mingling with the staff. We took our suitcase with us when we left and were genuinely afraid for our vehicle in the lot. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. Pay whatever it takes to stay elsewhere!

We did not stay and asked for money back. Motel is disgusting. Booked in then went to room. Stunk of cigarette smoke and it was a non smoking room. All rooms the same. Then there was someone being arrested a couple of doors down from us so the children were scared. We were told that it was the sketchy area of town and didnt recommend us staying there. #1, the desk staff were cordial, polite, and helpful. It was a real pleasure to interact with them and they put a bright spin on an otherwise less than satisfactory stay.
#2, the suite #124, stank of tobacco or something else most foul.
#3, the carpet was filthy and tacky (as in sticky) in many spots, which may have contributed to the odor.
#4, Coffee grounds left behind in the coffee maker, really grossed us out, and we opted to not use the machine at all.
#5, the window was smudged with something that also was sticky and carried an odor.
You may ask, \"why didn't you request a new room?\", frankly, after previewing the clientele and the fact that that we were exhausted from our 12 hr drive, we opted to sleep in our clothes and make the best of a situtation that was doubtfully going to physically improve.

Good thing the desk staff was pleasant. We will not be staying here ever again, nor recommend.

Good bed mattress, good shower water pressure, bad radio alarm made static noises once a hour for 2-3 minutes very strange. There were crumbs in the bed, and linens were strained I got bitten by what seemed like fleas all over my feet, and a gentleman at breakfast was complaining that a prostitution ring was busted up last night. They replenished breakfast items was asked, but the quantity was sparse.

Location was just off the highway but we went to eat first and than we had a hard time to find even with GPS and directions from the restaurant. Room smelled like smoke so was given another which didn’t smell much better and the beds had grit on the bottom sheets. Breakfast was terrible with limited choices.

Non smoking room was clearly not as advertised, smelled like an ashtray the moment the door was open. The floor was wet and spongy. Every surface was dirty, sheets, towels, and the walls. Front desk was nice and seemed to know what the conditions were like, so she was understanding with our frustration. Other than that, don’t waste your time with this place.

Are room was \"pet friendly\", something for which we paid extra. There was a large \"spot\" in front of the door. When I pulled back the blanket on the bed there was dirt on the sheets. On both beds. There was dirt in the corners, something you cant miss when you are sitting on the toilet but apparently their cleaning staff did. We took a picture of the \"spot \" and showed it to the desk clerk when we checked out .We did not want to be blamed (or our dog) for the mess. We were told by the clerk, \"those carpets are so hard to get clean\". Yes, especially if you dont clean them.

You get what you pay for. Few minor cosmetic issues with the room. Stained floors, cigarette smell, stained sheet. There was no remote which seemed odd and the woman who was at the front desk after I checked in was rude. Other then that I got what I paid for.

Value Fits the Price

The reception person was very nice and hospitable. Had to request towels for the room and then go get them. Location is hard to get to the first time, after that you know. Condition of the facility I'd rate as \"fair\". Overall it was what I expected, more or less, for the price.
