When you're in the middle of renovations, it would be good to indicate that somewhere. Instead I walked into a hotel that had no ice, little vending, no equipment in the fitness room, and only one of two elevators functioning. The first room I was placed in should NOT have been an option because it had no coffee maker, tissues, soap, alarm clock, phone, USB port, or batteries in the remote. They have a list of rooms being renovated, but I got put in one anyway. I got moved into a second room after midnight. It was an improvement, but still did not have an alarm clock or USB post anywhere.

Lobby had a foul odor like sewage and rotting garbage. Hotel was dirty and unclean. Stairwells had not been cleaned at all with sticky floors and some rust on the metal wall corners. Old rundown furniture and bed was lower at headboard than bottom. Moldy water damage smell. Pool closed. Hot tub closed. Denny's inside for food but void of customers. Moonshine bar was closed on a Saturday night.

I booked an apartment room and paid extra for it. Same room I've booked for 3 years for a kids birthday. When i arrived, they gave me a different room that had none of the accommodations or room that i needed. When i went back down to the desk there was no explanation or apology for the mess up and i never received any kind of compensation for the much smaller and somewhat broked down room that i got. On top of everything the hot tub was broke down and thats another thing we were looking forward to. I will not book here again it seems the newer owners dont care at all about you, your travel experience or the hotels quality.

The property was disgusting. The bed skirt looked like \"male bodily fluids\" were wiped up with it. The bed was sunken in the center. It didnt have a bed bug cover on it, just a pad on top. Our view of the river/bridge was a rusty box and the roof of the pool. The pool was cold, no towels are provided at the pool so you have to take the only towel in the room. The hot tub is empty and the garden fountains inside the pool area were also empty. The place is full of peeling paint, holes in the wall, cracks everywhere. The breakfast was non exist. A bowl of blueberries that we watched someone just grab a hand ful with their hands and leave, a loaf of bread and coffee. The kicker was when we came back from \"breakfast\" to pack our things to go find real food. A cockroach ran across the door from a hole that had been punched in at the top of the door. It ran across the floor and in a crack of the flooring by the bathroom door frame.
The only poaitive was both women at the counter were very polite & the sheets smelled strongly like bleach

I woud absolutley never return here. Room 219 was a king suite. Id definitely stay away.

Had to change room 3 times due to how absolutely filthy they were. Hallways and elevators smelled horrendous. Holes in wall, loud guests, very sketchy people all over. Facility was not very clean, smells like a nursing home, rooms needed upgraded. Toilet bowl was cracked and leaking on the floor. Shower curtain was dirty and looked like mold on the bottom of it. The clerk the checked me in was too busy calling for replacement to hurry up and get out to the front desk. The continental breakfast only had 2 1/2 loaves of bread about six rotten strawberries and a few unripe bananas. Only four waters in the fridge two individual boxes of cereal with no milk at 7 o’clock in the morning.

I booked a king deluxe room, and was put in another room — not a king and not deluxe. The advertisement said free continental breakfast — they had none. Then they put a sticker on my vehicle window saying I was not allowed to park in their parking lot and threatened to tow it, despite parking being a part of the room charge.

Our actual room was updated and clean. The bed was comfortable. My issue is with the condition of the lobby and the hallways. The carpet is filthy and the halls are dark with a definite odor. I was very happy that the room was in better condition. Our TV remote was missing but the lady at the front desk was very helpful. She found a bunch of extra remotes and came up to our room. Luckily the 1st one worked so we were good. I think the Wyndham has been buying up these older hotels but they would get a lot more repeat business if they would update the entire property. We will not stay here again. Maybe if it was completely redone we would try it again.

It was not to bad but all the pop machines and ice machines were not working. The third floor has a musty smell plus some cigarettes or some kind of smoke smell in the hallway. I understand that some of it is under new management and understand it is under renovation. It was nice that there was a restaurant right there. Not sure if I would stay there again but I might once it is all done. The pool area needed towels, my kids enjoyed the pool and it's nice that you have a laundry room. It said there was a continual breakfast but there was hardly anything there.

Cannot recommend this place

This was just about the worst hotel/motel we have ever stayed at! The \"free breakfast\" (see picture) consisted of nothing more than pancakes and sausages (of which only two were left by 8 am with no more coming) plus coffee and/or iced water. Oh, and syrup, ketchup or jam/jelly for the pancakes. Nothing else!
There was an unpleasant smell from the moment we entered the lobby which was worse in the hallways. We had to move out of our first room because the smoke alarm chirped every two minutes or so. The next room featured a high-pitched squeal that never stopped. We were then moved once more to a third room that was quiet--well, actually not: we could hear muffled music playing the entire night, and the folks in the adjoining room (not from our party) woke up early and we could hear all of their conversations.
The room itself was barebones; insufficient lighting (only two lamps), vinyl flooring, room-darkening drapes that did not completely cover the window, a postage-stamp bathroom with unfinished tub/shower enclosure (see picture), no fan, no hair blow-dryer, and no washcloths (we had to use hand towels instead).
We saw at least two very drunk patrons stagger in...so not very family-friendly. To their credit, the evening front desk were friendly and did try to address our room problems by moving us, but that couldn't make up for a facility that ought to be condemned or completely rebuilt.

I do not normally leave negative reviews, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I waited for twenty minutes to be able to check in, not because they were busy, but because there was no one to be found. If i hadn't had a reservation and paid for the stay, I would have left. she appeared to be very high when she did show up. the hallway floors were disgusting, had not been vacuumed in a long time. the room was dirty, so much dirt, dust and debris behind the TV, the mirror was so milky and dirty, she sheets felt like outdoor furniture material. I had hiked 10 miles that day and wanted to soak, there was no drain plug. I called and requested one, she stated she would bring one, 30 min. passed, still nothing. I went downstairs, she told me she could not find one. we laid down for bed, and the tv did not work. from the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, it was a total negative experience.

I booked my stay on the Internet and it said you have a pool and a bar. Well, the pool is closed and there is no bar. There is nothing in the vending machines. The soda machine was out of order. I thought maybe I could get a compensation back for my stay that the girl at the front desk says it’s not her responsibility to do that but he was very nice.

Hotel is older and rooms are in disrepair. You wouldn’t know from the outside. Our air conditioner unit was held up with 2 cups. The back of the door looked like they started to paint it and gave up. The elevator was scary with male private parts scratched onto the elevator wall. There was mold on the ceiling. There was a hair guard from hair clippers on the bedroom floor and trash under the bathroom cabinet. With all the above complaints the staff was wonderful. The owner of this hotel owes his employees a better place to work and a huge raise.

Checked in ok. Room ok, bathroom had dirt and dust all around the floorboard. Felt kind of dirty. The continental breakfast, it is open Six to nine am, we went down about 8:15, the food had all been taken away. Along with other guest, we tried to find someone to help us. The checkout desk was empty, three other people were waiting as well. I went around calling , no answer, we all just tossed our room keys on the counter and left. It is checkout time, someone should have been there. Four parties left with us. I will never check in there again.

First the outside looks great. However, once you walk in it's another story. The hotel needs a lot of work. Needs new paint job and some construction help. The breakfast was a joke. Only had sausage and pre-made pancakes. The silverware was questionable. I had to eat breakfast with my fingers. The major issue I had was room key was deactivated and there was no hotel attendant on duty. I had already stayed one night and was prepared to complete my stay. When i found the manager, on my floor I told her that my key was deactivated. She said that's been happening all day. Only choice was to check out early or stay. I told her I will check out. So, I got my stuff out and checked out. I stayed at this hotel because my current apartment was being fixed. Luckily, it was fixed. So, I did not have to get another hotrl home

Did like waiting to check in,had issues getting my key to open a stuck door.Manger barges in my room after check in, unannounced n no apology. The ac outside unit squelled all night long. The hotel could use some updating . The floor in our room was little squishy you could tell they had a leak at some point . They need to let people know the hot tub isn’t operating and by the looks of it hasn’t for awhile . The best thing about it was the king bed was pretty comfortable. Also don’t look forward to the breakfast to much they just had sausage and eggs so we went elsewhere to get our breakfast.

Rented 2 Rooms at the same time and rooms were not satisfactory due to housekeeping overlooked items, no black-out curtains, not enough pillows for the bed sizes, not enough toilet accessories, in diar need of repairs and upgrades, not enough comfortable seating inside the room, furniture old and worn out, AC not working properly, Hot/Cold water in shower seemed to spiratically change mid-shower and dangerous for children, strong smells of marijuana in the hallways that would also enter your room, no noise barriers from others closing doors or alarming cars, only one small elevator working and it sounded horrible like it was on its last leg, HOT TUB not in working order, photos on the website are all older ones and not recent photos of the pool area or the rooms. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! When my family visits Marietta, Ohio again, we will find another hotel. The only positive thing we witnessed the 4 night stay there was the extremely nice front desk staff named Jenny who took her job to the next level and bent over backwards to help us with every issue including moving us to another room more satisfying. If it weren't for her, we would have left the first day and demanded a refund. Thank you Jenny for making a terrible situation be more bearable during our stay.

The property needs updated. There was an offensive smell in the lobby and 2nd floor hall. Fortunately, the room was clean and had a fresh smell. It was gone the next morning.

The curtains in the room were thin, not darkening at all. There were street lights right outside the window, shining so bright I could read by them.

There were several signs about a Moonshine lounge, we were told it was closed. Take the signs down.

There was a sign posted on the elevator that stated about housing a “ visitor on the do not rent list” and what would happen to anyone housing such person. My lock on the door did not fully engage and I had to use a stool to block my door. My interior door was painted three different colors and my shower did not work correctly. In a hall that was to be no smoking sure reeked if smoke. I was sadly disappointed as this was a Wyndham property and expected more.

The pool was nice and heated, the rooms were mostly clean and looked like they had been updated since I stayed last. They didn't have enough towels and we were told they didn't have anymore the first day and that they couldn't find them the second day. The breakfast was one pan of sausage gravy that ran low and was never refilled, the bath tub didn't work and we were told half the rooms didn't have water so we should be happy. The girl at the front desk for check in was rude/abrupt and more concerned about her food and her bf versus getting us checked in. There was all kinds of drama about switching rooms with people and every time we came down someone was arguing at the front desk. The hot tub was out of commission, there was trash sitting around outside and everything was run down. Overall maybe 3 stars at best.

door off hinges, toilet hinges broke, smoke detector was in closet and bedding had burn holes in it..... we were not pleased but the staff was nice

Not clean, nothing like the pictures, bedding was dirty and had cigarette burn in the sheets when it was supposed to be a smoke free room, tiny bathroom, had to wait over 25 minutes for someone to come to the front counter to even check us in.

The trash on the third floor by the elevator is overflowing the trashcan onto the floor almost in front of the elevator door. They say breakfast 6 AM to 9 AM but at 7:07 AM they didn’t even have it ready. No one knew what was going on? I came downstairs two different times. Couldn’t find anybody to help me with anything. Very unhappy.

I liked that it was quiet. I liked the smoke free room. Parking was close, but rather slippery in parking area. Bed was comfortable. Sheets had black smudge and a cigarette hole on one side, but bedding was clean.Only 2 towels. Refrigerator freezer was super thick with ice and only had 1 shelf. Carpeting had lint or something all over it. We came down for breakfast at 8:15 A.M. Barely warm scrambled eggs and sausage links were pretty much what was left other than some pre packaged mini bagels and apples. There was cooffe, but no tea or orange juice. I didn’t see any condiments for the bagels. Not the best experience, but have been to other Wyndhams in Marietta that were better. Lady at desk was friendly.

Terrible aervice and hotel

Well check in time 3PM. Room notcready to after 4PM. Had 2 rooms reserved with 2 double beds for each room. Gave me 1double and one room with king bed. Which were adjoining rooms. But needed 2 beds for each room. The one room which was the doublededs, smell terrible from cigarette smoke which hotel non smoking. They then only had had to rooms left withbking bed in each on different floors. Never offered extra pull out bed to us. I sleft in desk chair over nigh
