First room we checked into had water leaking from the toilet onto the bathroom floor. Moved to another room that had filthy old grout around the bottom of the toilet and the shower curtain was covered in mildew. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Paid $144.00 for one night.

There is a swimming pool and fitness center. They could improve on breakfast - there were no biscuits but there was gravy for them. One of the handles for a drawer was broken when we walked in so I told the front desk person.

Average hotel. Nothing horrible. The only thing that was a negative was getting my room card/key going up to my room and the key doesn't work. Going back down and telling the hostess. She puts them in the machine and says those should work. No apology, nothing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The concierge even offered to come up to my room to help with the WiFi when I had trouble logging on. For the price I think this is a good hotel. My only complaint would be the strange little pillows on the bed. Normal size pillows would be a welcome change.

we booked for a 3 night stay and extended for 2 more nights. Friendly and efficient staff from the front desk, breakfast staff and housekeeping. Staff was very nice and helpful. Free breakfast buffet was convenient and it wasn’t just bagels, oatmeal, or yogurt. They had eggs, biscuits and gravy, juices, and all the other options previously mentioned. Easy to get to and convenient to hiking trails which was perfect for my visit!

Room had mold in the rim of the sink. No drain stoppers in sink or tub. Crack from water damage above shower. Spider and bug in the bathroom. Overall, this place needs to be renovated. I have pictures if you want to see them. Would not stay here again.

Great value hotel … but there are issues

The sink faucet was barely attached, the shower spray was barely functioning and the tiling/grouting in front of the toilet were missing. And when we requested housecleaning, with assurance that it would be done that day, we came back to a hotel room filled with garbage (the size of the trash cans is insufficient) and no clean towels. But perhaps most concerning was an open bible in the lobby by with regional map to signal that the owner / manager is more focused on Christian evangelism in a secular society rather than keeping this aging building operational.
On the bright side, the beds/pillows are excellent, the hotel is quite quiet and the breakfasts are terrific value.

Okay stay but expected better for price.

Decent breakfast. Eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, breads, etc. Room was clean but one bedspread had dark smears on it and we had to get another. Ac worked well, quiet, strong chemical smell in hallways. Laundry facilities out of order, only one working ice machine on first floor. Pillows were small squares, not normal pillows. Staff was friendly and helpfull.

The outside of the steps were dirty, balcony was dirty, rust at the bottom / tip of the refrigerator. I paid for an ocean view and received a room on the other side of the building. Coffee was free, Emily was very nice at the front desk. Curtains in the room were very old and torn. Only good thing that it was in walking distance of Stores and Restaurants.
This hotel needs to be reported to better business bureau. It was terrible 😳

Breakfast was also just okay. There were a few options, but nothing stood out. It would’ve been nice to see a bit more variety, especially healthier choices.

They gave us a plunger!

The air conditioning was really loud and luke cool at best. The tub didnt drain so you ended up standing in ankle deep water and the bathroom fan did not work. We did go to the front desk and they gave us a plunger for the tub and told us to turn the AC down to 67! (We already had it set at 68.) We did check out a day early and no refund was given.

First, you drive up to pot holes and overgrown weeds. The staff is in street clothes. Not a single staff member had a name tag or anything identifying them as an employee. At check in, there was a sign stating the pool was closed. According to the staff it has been closed for 3 years. The room was ok, but I wouldn't use the hair dryer because the cord was brown. The view from the back was a storage container and shopping carts.

There was a Dank mildew smell in the room. I took an oil air freshener out of the hallway and brought it in The room to mask the smell. We only stayed one night and this was the best stay of all our stays in the state.
The front desk member was a married younger than me(47) woman and is to be commended for her service and hospitality. She was a delight and glad to advise us on things to do and best ways to get places. Just a very nice woman.

Close to National Park, just an “ok” stay

Our stay was just “okay”. The hotel location was great to see the national park. The staff was super friendly. The room was spacious and we enjoyed the two king size beds. Breakfast needed a few more options.. bagels or a drink machine. The water machine broke while we were there. There were spiders in our room, dust and cobwebs. The pool was broken and the hotel offered NO reimbursement for that. They said the maintenance guy died three years ago and haven’t found another to fix it since! Hotels.com never stated that on the website when booking nor did the hotel offer that info when I called inquiring about our stay. My kids were so disappointed. The tv was a little messed up and blurry. Just a heads up!!

The bed was so comfortable. I actually slept instead of watching TV all night. The employees were all so very helpful (I am disabled). This is the first hotel I have stayed at where the walk in shower didn't cause the whole floor to be wet. All in all, an exceptional hotel.

Our stay for our bike group riding to see the New River Gorge Bridge had a great time... Audrea and Susan at the front desk were awesome! We had a issue with one of the bikers being broke down and they helped us out getting set up for another stay that was not in the plans.. Thank you!

Overall the room was nice and outdated. The bed was comfortable, and being was clean and the showers were hot. The room could use a deep cleaning, the vent was covered in dust and you could see dirt build up in the corners of the bathroom flooring. The staff were very kind and the breakfast was decent. We were on the 1st floor and the creaking floors above were obnoxious when trying to fall asleep and stay asleep it is very loud sounding.

We were near the end of the hall, near an exit door. This door did not lock. Pointed it out to the desk. They were aware, but wait only one guy could fix it .... They could have fixed it, plus it had been broken for a while .

On the plus side, breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly, and room was clean
