wonderful place close to amazing activities

Nice location. Great breakfast. Good coffee!
Julie
It was a great value for the price.
Catherine
Biggest problem with property, no white lines painted for parking spaces. This creates a problem because people use two spaces to park (especially in the evening) and then there is not enough spaces. Front desk clerk said they have been told to fix this issue but it doesn’t get repainted/repaired.
Norman Keith
Great place to stay while visiting the area.
Mary C
Helpful front desk.
Kenneth H.
The baseboards were cheap cloth designed and had come loose from the wall at the side of the bef
Stilgenbauer
The staff were helpful and courteous. The room was not clean to my standards
Stefanie
The hotel itself it’s a little dated but everything worked just fine. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast room is very small. The staff was super kind and helpful.

The hotel and rooms are dated. The online pictures make it look more modern. it served it purpose but wasnt anything to write home about
Kim
Breakfast staff was very pleasant!
Sara
We stayed they due to a travel softball tournament Hotel says they have a pool which they don’t it’s filled in. Was not very clean at all. Air conditioning did not work well at all next time if this hotel is the only option we will sleep in the car.
Debra
Perfect stay with clean facilities and rooms, as well as a helpful staff, ease of parking, and a beautiful view. Also, a perfect restaurant right next door.
Mangesh
Convenient location, helpful and kind staff, clean rooms. Only problems were noisy AC and the pool closed for maintenance.
Tammy
Great place. Hairdryer broke with no replacement
Angela
Convenient for driving just a few minutes to most attractions and town.
Jessica
Stayed here because there weren’t any Hiltons nearby and I was traveling and needed a clean place to sleep. Crashed immediately and the next morning noticed how dirty my room was. Greasy crumbs were everywhere. The room was $150 and should have been cleaned properly beforehand.
Julie
The room was amazing. Very clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good. Very satisfied with our stay
Laszlo
Breakfast was good. Room was fine. Building a bit older. No pool. Very close to the Bridge brew works. Husband was happy.
Amy
It had all the basics. Good location. Breakfast was good.

Check in was 3p, I arrived at 330 and the room wasn't ready. Left to explore the area, returned at 7p and the room still wasn't ready. We found trash in the fridge, desk and other counter tops weren't wiped down, the sheets were stained, and there appeared to be dirt on the chair in our room as though the previous guests were jumping on the chair with their shoes on after hiking (at least that's what I'm hoping it was).
I found the cleaning lady down the hall and asked her for something i could use to wipe off the surfaces in the room. She verified that she had cleaned the restroom and changed the sheets. She was obviously overwhelmed with her workload and no extra staff to help her.
The front desk offered nothing for compensation for the room being dirty 4 hours after check in. She also had to be reminded multiple times about getting me a roll away bed, which i asked for at 330p when I arrived the first time.
My family and I were so disgusted with the state of the room that we didn't bother with breakfast at the hotel. In our minds if their room was that dirty, the kitchen area is probably the same.
The only reason I didn't leave is because I couldn't find lodging anywhere else, everything was booked.

Our room definitely could have been cleaner. Had to pick up a bent up bottle cap off the floor. The shower curtain was GROSS! I do not want know what was on that shower curtain! Shampoo, conditioner & body wash bottles all were broken & almost empty. Plus, dried up stink bugs on the windowsill,& on the bathroom floor. Definitely not worth $200 /night. We will try the other chain hotel for our next visit.
Damien
The staff was extremely nice. The room was surface cleaned more than deep cleaned. The breakfast was extremely minimal.
Brittany
Clean property. Easy check in. Close to Ace Adventure park
Jennifer
The breakfast overall was good. The room was very clean. The air conditioning did struggle a little bit to keep the room super cool
David
Broken shower gel holder no shampoo, only conditioner
David
It clearly shows a pool but when I asked an employee where it was I was told it hasn’t been open for a long time! If I would have known that I would not have stayed there. False advertising that deceives customers
Michael W
Back lot of parking lot is a bit of a mess, a bit muddy and wet; side security doors broken; breakfast was adequate, rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, staff worked hard but property needs some remodeling.
Anna
Staff was excellent. Room could be a little cleaner, crumbs on dresser, bathroom counter were very small spacing on counter and over toilet.
Tim
Room had a rather stale smell to it. Bathroom lighting is terrible (if you don't want to see what you look like, this is the place!)
Patricia Anne
The front desk staff was very friendly and suggested a restaurant and also
the New River Gorge Visitor Center. We went to both places and enjoyed them.
The bed was comfortable. Had a complimentary breakfast that was okay.
If I were to go back I would probably stay there again.

Needs maintenance, light was out in the bathroom, very small breakfast area
David
Clean large comfort room, staff very nice, welcoming, bathroom however was small lacked counter space and the a/c was loud when came on
Boris
Room was ok. Noisy AC. Very limited breakfast
Denise
The staff member at the desk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast was adequate.
Gaylene
Shampoo, conditioner and lotion come in odd bottles that are difficult to use.
Mary
Staff was friendly and very helpful.
I didn’t give it 5 stars because there was no soap in the room, the blow dryer did not work and the electrical plugs in the wall would not hold anything you plugged in, it would fall out.
Other than that, the room was clean and everything else was fine.

The desk erk was the best ever and the breakfast was great.
Sharon
I think this hotel was \"average\"...a 3.5. I graded it a little lower because the room had a bit of a sweaty clothes smell and the bathroom countertop was tiny. We opened the window for a bit (the temp was in the mid 60s outside) &, after, ran the AC. However, when we returned from dinner, the slight smell was still there. The breakfast was good & included scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits, gravy, bread, bagels, waffles, cereal, yogurt, juice, muffins & fruit. The desk staff was kind & helpful. We had dinner at El Bandido, after a recommendation from the desk agent. The food was good & the prices were very reasonable. The location of this hotel was in close proximity to some of the hiking & sightseeing we were doing.
Brice
Great location
Jessica
Great location if visiting the Gorge and wanting a central spot for all the sites. Simple, clean and decent breakfast. Checks the boxes and exceeds in friendliness.
Samantha L
The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice. Only a couple small issues the water pressure was low and the fixture in the tub was coming loose from the tub wall. The breakfast was well stocked and clean. While putting luggage in my car the morning of checkout, I discovered a bottle had been broken directly behind my car. Upon telling the lady at the front desk she apologized, which was not necessary because it wasn't her fault, and went out with a broom and dustpan and swept the glass up. She even checked for glass under my car and got it as well.
Valerie
The bathroom was in poor condition with a broken toilet seat and burnt out light bulbs-
The bed pillows were uncomfortable and the air conditioner did not work effectively to keep the room at an even temperature.

If you are staying near New River Gorge, I highly recommend this hotel. Excellent staff, super friendly, very clean accommodations and breakfast was perfect.
Margaret
Clean and a good location
Mark
Clean room and very good staff
Joseph
Hotel was not prepared. No towels and washcloths. Lights in bathroom, one lightbulb working. We asked multiple times for 2 days for towels and washcloths but were told they didn’t have any. I’d give it a 2 out of 5.
Stella
Enjoyed our stay. Close to the park entrance.
Paula
Great hotel
Evelyn
Clean room. Beds comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Nancy
First room we checked into had water leaking from the toilet onto the bathroom floor. Moved to another room that had filthy old grout around the bottom of the toilet and the shower curtain was covered in mildew. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Paid $144.00 for one night.
jodi
Everything was good, would stay again.
Melissa
There is a swimming pool and fitness center. They could improve on breakfast - there were no biscuits but there was gravy for them. One of the handles for a drawer was broken when we walked in so I told the front desk person.
Miyeong
That’s very quiet and clean room. I liked the temperature in the room seems to be setting automatically.
Kurt
television short on channels otherwise good
Candice
Comfortable place to stay. It had a nice hot breakfast, friendly staff, clean room, and great location to the NP.
James
Average hotel. Nothing horrible. The only thing that was a negative was getting my room card/key going up to my room and the key doesn't work. Going back down and telling the hostess. She puts them in the machine and says those should work. No apology, nothing.
Jacinda
Nice staff.
Barbara
Hotels needs a refresh. Breakfast was poor.
Randall
Everything was good room, breakfast, staff.
Norman Keith
Great staff, clean rooms
SAndy
Staff was nice. Room was clean. The water was not hot. Even on full hot it was barely warm.
Sherry

Jacqueline

SONIA
Excellent
Eric
Clean breakfast area
Laura
Nice overnight stop. Check in was fast, the room was in good condition, breakfast was ready on time and had a nice selection.
Mary
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The concierge even offered to come up to my room to help with the WiFi when I had trouble logging on. For the price I think this is a good hotel. My only complaint would be the strange little pillows on the bed. Normal size pillows would be a welcome change.
Dawn
Staff was very courteous. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Anne
Comfortable bed, clean room
Anne
Nice refrigerator and freezer space. Comfortable bed
John
The front desk hostess that checked me in late in the evening was absolutely wonderful and truly customer service focussed
Carolyn
Stay was very helpful, room was clean nice breakfast variety. The bed was okay, could use a mattress upgrade and you can hear the guests in the other rooms. Not loud but enough that if s light sleeper it may disrupt your night.
Amanda
Very friendly and informative staff. Quiet location. Breakfast was decent
Devin
Loved how close it was to Fayetteville and the national park! The hotel was clean and comfortable! Would definitely stay again!
Angela

NESSIE
clean room, comfy bed and pillows. has the amenities we wanted (microwave and fridge) and good working condition except for the toilet flush which needed a harder push. Decent breakfast. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend.
NESSIE
we booked for a 3 night stay and extended for 2 more nights. Friendly and efficient staff from the front desk, breakfast staff and housekeeping. Great location for New River Gorge NP which was our primary goal. Lots of dining options and great local restaurants. Highly recommend. Thank you Comfort Inn New River.
CATHERINE
Angie at the front desk is a delight! So helpful and kind!
Stephen
It was a nice hotel superb staff.

Our room was in a very convenient location to the national park, hiking, state parks, and the adorable downtown restaurants and shops of Fayetteville!
Edward
Would stay here again
Kandace
The front desk gentleman made excellent recommendations for dinner. Very friendly!
Jim
Room was clean and the staff was very friendly
Catherine
The staff was absolutely the best! They went above and beyond to make our stay great
Maria
Staff was very nice and helpful. Free breakfast buffet was convenient and it wasn’t just bagels, oatmeal, or yogurt. They had eggs, biscuits and gravy, juices, and all the other options previously mentioned. Easy to get to and convenient to hiking trails which was perfect for my visit!
Judy
We had a long drive and had to stop partway due to the rain. We found this two and it was just wonderful very very comfortable, clean, staff is great.
DENISE BLACK
Breakfast was good. Only plus.
Room had mold in the rim of the sink. No drain stoppers in sink or tub. Crack from water damage above shower. Spider and bug in the bathroom. Overall, this place needs to be renovated. I have pictures if you want to see them. Would not stay here again.

Rude front desk!
Was on a road trip with a buddy.. just wanted a receipt for the night when checking out.. the lady was rude and would not even tell me what I paid for the night before.. no manager to be found! Had to call the corporate office just to find out how much they charged my credit card! 😡

It was quiet. Bed were very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. We discovered our refrigerator didn't work and they had it replaced the next day. They wanted to give us a discount because we had the refrigerator and toilet problems but wereunable to because we booked through Expedia

Small room
The toilet seat wouldn't stay up. The room was small. There were shopping and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good.

It was clean, convenient, and the lady working the front was amazing.

Great value hotel … but there are issues
The sink faucet was barely attached, the shower spray was barely functioning and the tiling/grouting in front of the toilet were missing. And when we requested housecleaning, with assurance that it would be done that day, we came back to a hotel room filled with garbage (the size of the trash cans is insufficient) and no clean towels. But perhaps most concerning was an open bible in the lobby by with regional map to signal that the owner / manager is more focused on Christian evangelism in a secular society rather than keeping this aging building operational.
On the bright side, the beds/pillows are excellent, the hotel is quite quiet and the breakfasts are terrific value.

Okay stay but expected better for price.
Decent breakfast. Eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, breads, etc. Room was clean but one bedspread had dark smears on it and we had to get another. Ac worked well, quiet, strong chemical smell in hallways. Laundry facilities out of order, only one working ice machine on first floor. Pillows were small squares, not normal pillows. Staff was friendly and helpfull.

Our staff was great and worked with us and our needs. They have also helped me on a left behind item. Everything was clean and cozy and exceeded our expectations.
