The ac units make a constant loud pop in wall from other rooms whej it kicks on. Bed was ok pretty hard but not the worst. Shower design with curtains dont reach the floor and watwr hits and goes right out the shower all in bathroom floor, had to keave towels down or there woukd be standing water. Breakfast was typical and not too bad, staff used the same rag to clean everything including wiping tops of trash cans then top of coffee table after no cleaners used. No very sanitary. For the price and area its not too bad just not the best. Would look else we're next time.

The ice machine in our building (one of two) was broken. The other one at the second building (a long walk)rarely had ice. The machine had a major mold problem, ice was not safe to use. The refrigerator in our room froze our drinks to the point they exploded. The rooms were no better than a Motel 6. Gaps in the door was 1/2”-3/4” wide around the locking system. We were on the second floor which made us feel a little safer, but we will never stay here again. The restaurant/bar in the hotel catered to the “Locals” that were there daily and service was pretty poor. Food was ok (for what they didn’t run out of). And their excuse was they were really busy this week, instead of offering something else. We do not recommend staying here at all.

The inn is older but clean and well-maintained. The attached restaurant was convenient for us since we already driven more than 5 hours and didn’t want to get back in the car to get dinner. But the friendly and helpful staff really made the trip. Ask Jessica about her “happy place” to visit a spot that tourists don’t usually experience! It was worth it.

We stayed here for one night while passing to Indy. The setup is like a rural motel setting. We could hear chatting from a biker group outside of our door at night. It's a very basic hotel. Parking was right in front. Very flat pillows. For one night stay, it was doable but definitely not longer.

There are only two hotels in town and this is the better one, so I would recommend it. It’s close to a lot of cool things in the area, not just NRG. However, the hotel is dated - our AC barely worked, the fridge barely worked, you could see out of the room bathroom doorknob, and sometimes the ice machines worked. But coming home at the end of a long day and having a decent restaurant on site and open late - priceless. And the complementary breakfast was really good.

The hotel is a large, 2 story old fashioned motor court. Although the hotel was obviously not full, we were put in the back of the property, next to the back side of the restaurant where the smell of the dumpster was quite noticeable. The room was narrow and dark with little room to move around with a strong, stale cigarette smell. Although we pre-paid for 3 nights, we decided to leave after the first night and forfeit the remaining nights. Despite the negative experience, the shower was pretty good!

The front desk staff member who checked us in was far from welcoming; while she may have just been having a bad day, she didn't offer a single smile and made the arrival feel incredibly cold. Were a little worried as we typically wld not stay in a Quality Inn as many seen run down and dated. But we trusted the reviews and they were right !

The room was clean & comfortable, but a bit dated. It looked like they were in the process of renovating some of the rooms. My bathroom was bit cramped & small, but the shower had great water pressure. The hotel is right of the highway & Babcock State Park is only about 25 min or so away & The New River Gorge overlook & Visitor Center was maybe 10 min away. Breakfast was excellent with eggs, sausage, biscuits & sausage gravy, along with coffee, which was complimentary. It is more of a motel style place, with all the room doors exiting direct outside, and I did not see any elevators.

The included breakfast is particularly good, with options of freshly self-made waffles, bagels, etc. On the minus side, the TV could be larger.
