I did like the place overall. I just wish the fan in my room had been working properly. Other than that, it’s a convenient hotel for a quick stay since it’s close to most locations.

Customer service, however, could have been better. We needed the shuttle to the airport, which we order the night before, but they weren’t able to reach the driver, which they didn’t let us know, so we ended up having to get an Uber ourselves. That part was disappointing.

With a few improvements, this could be a much better experience.

Not Worth It for Creators

I stayed at the Indie Universe Creative Hotel for 10 nights, initially excited about what seemed to be a creative and content-friendly atmosphere. Upon arrival, we were kindly greeted and offered an upgrade for an additional $100, which I accepted, anticipating a productive and enjoyable stay.

As ASMR artists, we were drawn to the option of booking a “soundproof room.” However, to my surprise, this was not complimentary and cost an extra $100 for just 3 hours a price I can only assume reflects exaggerated \"New York rates.\" This felt misleading for a hotel that markets itself as a space for creators.

Unfortunately, the experience deteriorated rapidly. On our second night, hotel staff mistook my significant other for a stranger, despite her having checked in with me. When I calmly explained she was a registered guest, a staff member had the audacity to respond with a blunt and dismissive “no.” This was deeply disrespectful and almost escalated to a confrontation due to the sheer lack of professionalism.

As someone who frequently travels the world and stays in many hotels, this was by far the most offensive encounter I’ve had. We had come here to spark creativity instead, we hit a complete content block throughout our stay, thanks to the environment and poor handling of guest relations.

Lastly, if you opt in for the breakfast, be warned: it’s microwaved. Not only disappointing — but downright unpleasant for something you’re paying extra for.

Horrible experience no AC in room, water from the kitchen sink and bathroom started pouring out brown with what looked like clay.. horrible room service they say the cleanjng come at 9am no one comes I have to put my trash outside and go downstairs for towels nd hygeine ...the room has no wifi and no room phone telephone. I have to go downstairs everytime and today the bathroom completely stopped working. Horrible experience would not recommend >> Stay away I come all the way from florida and this is the worst con artist hotel Ive seen in my lyfe.

I did not like the hidden fees and taxes they charge you once you checkout. They’re not transparent on many things. There’s a policy where guests (friends family) are not allowed after 6pm. No guests can stay overnight, doesn’t matter if it’s your brother or best friends. There is also no cleaning service provided unless you tell the reception each day for it, which they also failed to mention. No one came in to pick up trash, fix the bed, or even give you new towels/toilet paper. Breakfast was stated as “Buffet” but you’re only allowed 1 plate. The room was great but only the deluxe, they also don’t provide you water or snacks. Overall I would not recommend it since there is many places that will provide for you these amenities, I have never left a negative review but figured after my experience it was time. I would not stay at Indie Universe again unfortunately.

There were no towels in the room and they did not know when they are getting new ones. The rooms are very tiny. No AC, just a tower fan with no outlet to plug it in. Outles was over the bed, super high. This hotel looks nice on pictures however very diffrent in person. Never heard of a hotel that shares bathroom and kitchen. We had 2 rooms and then later booked a 3rd one in a hurry not noticing this one had shared bathroom and kitchen. We tried to cancel and book a complete room but they wanted to over charge for the rooms. Pay close attention when booking at this place. The person at the front desk was not pofessional. They were al over each other while there were guest in the hotel lobby.

Everyone at the front desk was nice but a girl named Laura seemed to always have an attitude, girl was rude for no reason.. on my check out she literally told me “that’s it you can go” again.. rude

And what I really think needs improvement are the towels…. NOT ONE TOWEL WAS CLEAN, some had holes big enough for my hand to go through them… clean towels are a must at a hotel, not ripped stained towels.

Great location, facilities, staff. Many things to do I wish I wish I could have done I was acclimatizing from the elevation, so I stayed in the hotel which is overall clean, just a few crumbs behind the fridge an one hair in the room, a little noisy from the road an events in the busy area's. I would recommend to stay here. Excellent quotes on the wall as the building explains the journey it's on as well as all who pass through it.

Well located hotel with helpful staff and when the price is right, good value.
The main issues for the private rooms I’ve stayed in before are heat and street noise. This time I stayed in a unique room which solved both these issues by facing the rear and having AC. I would highly recommend these.
Only negative for my room is that there were no hooks for towels in the bathroom.

Cozy little rooms in a great location. No AC however. The windows don't block the noise from the road so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, however I've stayed in hotels three times the amount in Medellin and it's the same.

Most of the front desk are bilingual, there is a nice cafe on the first floor, and it's a very affordable for those who want to travel on a budget. Clean hotel, clean room, nice area, so you can't ask for more for the price.

Stayed here for 8 or 9 nights (ended up extending after the third night). Was on the tenth floor, had a great view, hot shower, usable kitchen, fun and clever layout ... For a very fair price.

No, you don't have to be coworking (at least I was not) to stay here - the benefit is that the wifi is great.

Can't complain, honestly. Will likely stay again once I return to Medellin!

Aunque el hotel cuenta con wifi, cabina para conferencias y salas para trabajar, es totalmente imposible por la contaminación excesiva de ruido constante debido a conversaciones en voz muy alta, circulación de personas y el ruido permanente de una maquina. Fue imposible la concentración, la realización del trabajo previsto y la conexión en conferencia virtual prevista. Habitación con buenos servicios, pero es imposible descansar por el ruido día y noche de la avenida donde queda ubicado el hotel. La limpieza del cuarto no es oportuna y lleva a retrasos en el trabajo previsto en la habitación ya que no era posible en los espacios comunes. La atención del personal en la recepción es deficiente, presenta dificultades de comunicación oportuna y resolución de situaciones presentadas en la estancia. La directiva responsable no ofrece soluciones a las incomodidades presentadas. No recomendaría el hotel para permanecer o trabajar en sus instalaciones por lo anteriormente expuesto.

Me parece una habitación muy costosa para lo que finalmente ofrecen. Te dicen que hay un secador de pelo de uso común en cada piso (fui a cada uno de los pisos y no encontré ninguno). Asimismo, tienen una plancha comunitaria por piso, pero sin mesa de planchar. Las habitaciones son pequeñas, no hay buena ventilación, solo un pequeño ventilador. Los desayunos MUY básicos, peor que un desayuno americano.
