I have been staying in this hotel for many years now (5+ years) because it is closed to my parent's' house. I feel it is a good value hotel. Facility, particularly the room is clean, though a bit small. Breakfast has many options, though the food is just okay. In my recent stay in January 2020, I found the towels are a bit dirty (grayish, not white color) and worn out.

Great Value for Money

The hotel is quite new (3 years old). We had a premier room, a room at the front which has a fabulous view. We got used to the traffic noise. Not much to do in the local area. The pool is 'sort of indoors' which we didn't like.

The room is clean and the location wise is pretty nice. There are a plenty options for breakfast. I kind of dissapointed that they are not refill the new itinaries on the next day (as I was staying 2 days there) and there are still the glasses of martinis on the wastafel that I ordered the night before. The staff is friendly and good. Just disapointed in terms of the toilet matter as I mentioned above..

Late check out bad experience

Very bad experience in hotel due to late check out matter. Was confirmed by receptionist twice and agreed at 2 pm check out but they switch off the electricity at 12 noon.
Receptionist keep calling me so many times asking me to cgeck out at 12 noon or they willl charge 25% more. Its ridiculous service although they agreed for late check out. Will never stay here any more.

All hot food was only tepid. Left out on buffet uncovered for long hours. Especially in lounge on 22nd floor. Turnover of food in lobby cafe was better, but still food not hot.
No instructions initially on need for room key card to operate elevator. Tv unable to toggle to English language. Very polite staff throughout the hotel. Shuttle driver was waiting for me upon arrival at designated area, which was a relief!

A value in the center of Old Jakarta

The hotel is strategically located in Jakarta's Old City. Several local attractions are in walking distance or by ojek. The hotel itself is relatively new with very comfortable rooms. The food is awesome, as expected from Santika, a good combination of foreign and local meals. One downside is the wifi connectivity on my 2nd stay was not working properly, had to resort to my Mobile Broadband connection.

Receptionist is very friendly and the check-in/out process is very fast...
Breakfast has many choices...
But, my room pillow is rather soft which makes me difficulty in my sleeping...
There is no hair dryer in my room which i need to ask from housekeeping and the reason is hair dryer isnt enough for the room constributions... Very ridiculous... 4.3star hotel and yet hairdryer isnt in the room... Need to ask for and sign for the borrow property form again... Might be some of the guest dont care about the hairdryer but not for me as Its stated down hairdryer included in the room... I hav paid the amounts accordancely so I should hav get what I hav paid for... Anyway, the location is really strategic for food at nite... others none...

Second experience staying at Santika Premier

First time staying in this hotel back in April 2016, the hotel was quite new and overall experience was impressive. Compared to Novotel, this place is way better in terms of everything (food, service, room cleanliness, etc). That was my first experience.

Back again in February 2017, my experience wasn't that great unfortunately. Staying at one of the Suite rooms on level 22, the room was OK, but TV was not working. It continually broke. Wifi wasn't that good either. How could someone who paid higher rate for a suite expect a broken TV in his room, everyday?

In terms of staff service, the receptionist was not great, just OK. Nothing as warm and welcoming as when the hotel was just opened last year. Everyone was friendly back in 2016, it WAS a good experience.

There were also a lot of corporate people coming in for seminars. The environment wasn't relaxing. After 4 nights, all I wish for is to leave this hotel as quickly as I could. It was disappointing.

Modern, convenient and family oriented hotel

The room was very spacious and had all the adequate amenities required for my family. The hotel was very accommodating, providing us with the baby cot as requested and even complimentary pick up service from the airport. Bathroom was spacious too and well equipped, although I was surprised to find the bidet a little worn out. We had the privilege of using the Premiere Lounge and it was very lovely with a gorgeous panoramic view. Swimming pool is sheltered but should have a temperature regulator because when we used the pool at noon, the water was freezing.
Hotel staff were very friendly and warm and the majority spoke good English. 1 staff in particular, Innet, deserves much praise for her hospitality and initiative, often going the extra mile for us.
Overall, the hotel's decor is very modern and ideal for a families or business.

Stopped here to overcome our jet lag from travelling from the UK. Room was ideal and the bed was amazing to sleep in. Breakfast selection was excellent. Hotel is on the main strip but still far from everywhere and you are in need of a taxi to get to most places. 15 mins to walk to the old town area but along the main road is very dangerous so a taxi is recommended. Even further to other parts of the city.

Hotel reception got booking request wrong

We booked our flight n hotel via Expedia. Requested for King size bed and ended up with 2 single beds. The room was very small and surface around the bed was dusty. Not recommended for people with asthma. The towels were bit stale (not dried well with traces of bacteria smell).

The room was only good since it included breakfast but does not have hair dryer.... If you do not mind dust, get down sized room and bring your own towels and hair dryer, this would be the place for you. In room massage service was not good either. I get better ones in Batam.

Staff there were helpful and changed our room to what we originally requested next day tho.

Have stayed in this hotel for the third time now. Everything is great except some minor improvements. The curtains are black out but they do not reach the floor and hence sunlight is still coming in. There is also a gap from the top of the curtains to the rail that holds it. The pillows are also too soft.

Overall still a great hotel and will stay there again.

Very nice at the right price

Excellent facilities, food, staff and location. It was near many of the tourist sites and not too far from the airport. It took only about 40 minutes leaving at 10AM to get to the airport. The taxi ride cost less than $7.50 USD. Recommend this hotel for the value and quality.

It is located at the heart of Jakarta and traffic can be quite bad at times. Swimming pool is small but breakfast varieties are decent enough. Lobby area is too small for a 4 stars hotel. It is a new hotel hence staff are on top of cleanliness and service of the hotel. Good value hotel.

The hotel is new and just open in September. We stayed for 10 nights however for the first few days our rooms always got problem. First the TV can't be switch off at 12 midnight and we have to call the receptionist and it got fixed the next day. Secondly when we get back to the room 6 pm, the room is still not cleaned yet.

I will recommend this to people as the price is reasonable for new hotel

The hotel is new, it is clean. The room door seem too thin, noise transferred when people talking on the corridor. The bedhead lighting control switches is Big mess, left side switch controlling right side lighting; right side switch control night light but left side switch will over right it. conclusion - never connect properly and is a BIG mess.
Breakfast alot of choices. Overall this hotel is nice cos it is new and location is convenient to get food and shopping too.
