Top notch service and a hotel like no other. Truly remarkable and a one of a kind experience. Staff were attentive to every need and pleasant without being overbearing. Once upon a time, there stood a grand palace—home to kings and queens. Today, that very palace belongs to those who walk through its magnificent doors.

From the moment I stepped out of the car, I was transported into a fairytale. Every person working within these walls plays a part in crafting a world of wonder, ensuring each guest is swept into a realm of enchantment, if only for a few nights. And they succeed—beautifully, effortlessly, wholeheartedly.

They are the soul of the palace, the reason guests return time and again. They are the ones who breathe life into the kingdom.

Here are just a few names I remember—though I wish I could recall them all.
Rajnandani and Ishpreet both are guest relations (amazing) the front face of this amazing palace. Ram the driver, Ester at the spa, Chetan, Jakhang, Chand.

Thank you for a truly magical and unforgettable stay.

This is not a hotel - it's an experience! Luxury beyond words, stunning architecture, magnificent customer service. The attention to detail on everything from the decor to the food presentation is world class. This is the type of place you stay at when you want to be transported to another world - where the hotel stay is the best part of the vacation. I have stayed at many great places around the world. but this was by far the absolute best, most magnificent hotel I have ever experienced.

I was impressed with this property from the time you entered the property till check-out. Both staff and facility were exceptional. Staff redefined CUSTOMER SERVICE and undeniably, incomparable. They were courteous, polite and polished. FOOD is a food critic's dream. Simply 5 Michelin star. They even made a dish not in the menu. I have stayed in so many 5 star properties and by mile, Umaid Bhawan Palace is IMPRESSIVE. THANK YOU AND SEE YOU AGAIN.

Unmatched Hospitality!

The hospitality at Umaid Bhawan is unmatched. You can order food from any of the 3-4 menus and even if something is not on the menu, the staff would be thrilled to cook and serve. Besides, it is a peacock paradise and you may find yourself eating breakfast in the company of gorgeous peacocks and peahens. Overall, it is definitely more than just a luxury hotel.

The building and gardens are amazing. The staff are the best in India. The food is great. Ambience is fantastic. Except the room. They need to hire a designer to upgrade the guest rooms which do not at all match the luxe feel of the property. They are not cozy nor comfy.

An unrivaled hotel experience

If you have the chance and the budget to stay here you absolutely should - the building is astonishing in scale and intricacy. You can't get a full feel for it just by visiting for dinner or to the museum. Service is excellent, there were a few issues in the restaurant like bringing the wrong drinks etc but all minor and swiftly resolved.

To stay at Umaid Bhawan is to be treated like royalty. The staff takes painstaking steps to ensure very personal service and your complete satisfaction. My husband and I stayed for three nights to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary and the staff went out of their way to ensure that our private dinner was unforgettable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Starting with a very informative welcome tour by Sabitri. Punit was very helpful and went an extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. The restaurant service made it special by Virendra. Many thanks to Ranu Dingh who dropped off the Sunglasses to the airport because my wife left it in the hotel. We were treated like royalty. We will definitely refer our friends and will come back with family in the future.

Palace experience- really special

Quite simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in , the attention to detail and level of service is second to none.
From special room requirements to the chef cooking us food that wasn't on the menu nothing is too much trouble here,if it can get better than this I would like to know how .

Superb, fantastic

This is a real royal palace, second in size to Buckingham Palace. Our room was incredible, with balcony, large bathroom in art deco style, with huge bath tub accessible from three sides with his and her sides, quite amazing. We were spoilt by having numerous butlers, housekeepers and others helping us. In fact we were outnumbered by so many staff around the palace. Dinner was good on the terrace, but we felt that the staff became intrusive because of the numerous visits by various staff members to our table ensuring we were ok. It was a slow night at the restaurant !! No surroundings, as the palace is approach along a long drive with security guards at the main entrance. Lovely outside pool and service. Thoroughly enjoyed this. The Maharajha was in residence while we were there and was joined by the King of Jaipur, who flew in. The palace itself is new and superb.

Expect Royal treatment in this impressive palace!

We were a family of 7 members occupying 3 rooms. Our stay at UBP was simply magical. I've stayed at different luxury hotels around the world but the experience at UBP surpassed all my expectations. The welcome was traditional Rajasthani style for royalty with the red carpet & swords made us feel special. The palace itself is very unique, massive at the same time classy and private. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, They went above and beyond their call of duty to make us at home and made sure we had a wonderful vacation. At one point we were willing to cancel all our plans and finish our rest of the vacation at UBP. I want to add a special note of thank you for the Executive Chef \" Sonu Koithara\". He personally supervised all our meals and served us scrumptious savory snacks and delicious unique dishes special to the region. Breakfast at UBP was a pure joy, sitting outdoors on the veranda at 'Pillars\" and having breakfast with peacocks in the sprawling lawns was amazing. The world's best coffee was served here!! The vistas from the outdoor pool was mind-blowing! With the palace view in front and Mehrangarh Fort behind and peacocks dancing its a blessing to enjoy this experience

Another outstanding Taj Hotel/Palace

Taj keep doing it perfectly - except for a very rude female waitress in the Pillars Restaurant who decided to totally clear our table of everything and began sweeping imaginary crumbs into our laps with her little broom when we politely declined her offer of dessert, saying we we too full after our beautiful meal. We still had half a bottle of wine, but no glasses, so we had to take it back to our room to drink while we pondered what we did wrong. There were plenty of empty tables and it was only 9pm so we were not holding up a table. Maybe she had a headache and was sick of everybody - not just us.
But apart from her we found all the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The pool staff treated us like royalty and kept bringing juices, fruit and water - even rushed across to hold the towell out when we came out of the pool! And it isn't like we have 20 year old bodies anymore!
We could only afford a Palace Room for 2 nights in this beautiful palace but it was indeed palatial in comfort. Our bathroom was huge and we had a nice balcony to enjoy our wine on.
.We wished we had more time to actually spend in the palace, but Jodphur itself has so much to see as well. Maybe next time.

One of my best hotel experiences ever!

This place is really unique: the location is fabulous, and the hotel facilities (spa, pools, gardens, restaurants, tennis, gym etc) are all beautifully maintained.
When arriving, we were upgraded to one of the Historical rooms, which is the size of a small apart. We liked the hotel so much that we decided to stay an extra day.
Being non-Indian, the staff really went an extra mile to show and teach us what the Indian cuisine was about. For instance we were given complimentary tasters of menu items we informed about, but did not choose.
All over the hotel, the staff has a great mindset, and they really care about making your stay as good as possible. A strong point, is that they are even thinking pro-actively. In summary, you are feeling like a Maharadja.

I have visited some other Tay properties, and this one is the most authentic and unique in my opinion.

What could improve: (i)internet should be complimentary. (ii)They should be more honest about the taxi options. When i required what if they could arrange transport to the next place on our itinerary, their quote was double the quote of my travel agent, and triple the quote of my guide book... (iii)cocktails are of low quality (which they are not at Tay Jaipur)

Deluxe. Extremely nice without being ostentatious. We walked in looking a little like the backpackers that we had been for the past 3 months and no one made us feel anything less than completely welcomed. When they found out we were there to celebrate our 10th anniversary they upgraded us to a suite, gave me a huge bouquet of flowers and us both a very delicious chocolate cake on our way out.

The spa was fantastic. We got a much need body scrub which was very relaxing and made up for a month of bucket showers. All the services at the spa looked amazing and for the setting, the prices were more than reasonable. The underground pool is one of the nicest I have ever seen.

We had dinner on the roof, which had an exceptional view of Jodhpur and the fort. It was chilly, but we were there during the coldest time in Rajasthan in 40 years, so they can't really be blamed for that. The wine list was very good, my husband ate a salad (verboten in India) with smoked salmon (which I also thought was really asking for trouble) and nothing terrible came of it.

We have stayed at hotels of this quality before, but none rival this place. An absolute must in Jodhpur is you want to splurge.

Unvorstellbar beeindruckender Palast, die Lobby ist wie eine Kathedrale, tolle Gärten mit blühenden Büschen und Pfauen, kaum fassbar, dass das ein Hotel ist. Man kann nur staunend herum spazieren, beeindruckenstes Hotel in dem wir ja waren.
Sehr guter Service, kleine Extras wie kostenloser High Tea, Nüsschen am Pool, abends Tanzvorführung etc.
Schöne, großzügige Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, leckere Cocktails.
Kleines Manko: wir waren nach einem Wochenende mit Hochzeitsfeier im ganzen Hotel dort, daher war noch nicht alles wieder aufgeräumt und im Pool schwamm Müll, sodass man nicht ins Wasser konnten. Als Entschädigung gab es aber ein nettes Zimmerupgrate, daher alles okay...
Hotel ist sehr empfehlenswert!
