The property is very well maintained with an old world charm.
The rooms are clean and well equipped.
The housekeeping could improve as requests were delayed to upto 4 reminders.
Breakfast was very good and the lady playing flute was charming.
All in all a wonderful place to stay.

This is an excellent and legacy property. Have stayed here many times and it’s just absolutely amazing. The pool is lovely and the gardens are inviting. The cafe and restaurant are very inviting with music in the evenings.

Best Place in Lucknow

Amazing service. When I approached Monika for a mask, she asked me what was wrong. I mentioned that one person of our group had a cold/flu, she offered to send Kadha up to our room. This was delivered hot and soothing within minutes (free of charge of course). This ws much appreciated. The rest of the staff were also super courteous and helpful.

Seriously, this hotel needs updating. The rooms are very tired. The first night I was bitten by mosquitoes on my face. Even Aisha at the travel desk noticed. It’s not equal to the Taj at Mumbai. It’s the staff that give this hotel respect. We had Hussain as our driver and he couldn’t do enough. He knew Lucknow inside out. We enjoyed out stay only because of him. Aisha was very helpful also. Than you Hussain and Aisha for making our stay memorable.

Great hotel but a couple of avoidable lapses in se

Overall the property is good, ambience. What bothered us is the service. We have specific food requirements and despite clear instructions, the In-room dinning served wrong food. They verbally apologised but did not offer any alternative. Next day morning while checkout the staff didn’t even bother to ask / say sorry. This is unlike Taj. We have seen that the hotel managements have unique ways of apologising to an upset guest. But here there was not even any intention. Felt sorry that it was a Tata Comoany.

It is one of the better hotels in the city, however it can be quite expensive. As a Taj property it does offer the excellent hospitality that you get at any Taj.

However as a hotel, it is a little underwhelming. Compared to other Taj hotels the decor is almost non existent in rooms so when you immediately walk into the room it does feel a little cheap. However the bed is comfortable and there is a pillow menu for you to get exactly what you need for a good nights sleep.

Right from the girl at reception who welcomed us gave us room keys( # 261) to Shekhar( Restaurant Manager- Sahib café), lady Chef at Roti section, the waitress, Housekeeping staff, Tall Security guard with Moustache and his colleagues, everyone were so welcoming, Helpful and sweet-natured that it became our home away from home.
I am an Ex-Oberoi, Ex-Hyatt and have always heard so much about Taj but never got chance to experience it. But, yesterday I realized that whatever I heard was so true.....

Stayed whilst Covid restrictions were in place. Hotel took good precautions. Food could be better. Rooms are not modern. Even suite was quite small. Room cleaning could be better. Water for shower was not hot. Whilst they advertise large garden it is locked and you need to ask for it to be opened each time. It is also not adequately maintained, however this could be now during Covid period. I would not rate the stay as value for money.

Property is amazing, Taj are known for luxury hotel. This was was the best property in Lucknow.

Special mention to the incredible team Akash Verma, Amiksha and Viksit. Thank you so much for your hospitality. I had been planning my parents anniversary surprise trip and Akash took the great care with attention to detail on everything and also went above and beyond to make sure my parent have the best time! In Whole, The staff, Hotel and Restaurants were all exceptional.

Superb hotel in Lucknow. The service was excellent. All staff makes you feel at home. The welcome desk was most helpful. Shomya , Mazhar and other staff including the F&B manager. Both the chefs were experts in their field. They even took feedback from guests. Few chefs do that. Chinese dinner and Indian breakfast were most appetising. Compliments to the entire team at Taj Lucknow.

Beautiful property. We loved the look of the room as it was a modern version of a palace room. We got the garden view which was lovely and serene. We took a brief walk of the garden and pool area and it was breathtaking! Had dinner at Oudhyana. The restaurant had live music with classical instruments. We tried the Lucknow food and it was amazing! The staff were extremely nice and friendly. Had the buffet breakfast at Sahib Cafe. Amazing food w/ great selection! I highly recommend this hotel!

No internet for 2 days which was a big issue. The bathroom was run down and dirty. The floor of the room was wooden and stained. Very small carpets that shift as you walk on them. Super slippery bathroom floor so you have to be careful not to slip in the room and bathroom. Not up to the Taj standard expected.

We were there for a short trip - only one night stay.
Unfortunately my wife needed medical attention, as she fell in the elevator and hurt herself, after having a blackout. Hotel staff acted promptly, got a doctor, and helped us throughout.
Service was excellent in all respects. Food in the restaurant was also good and the staff their very friendly and cooperative.

We liked our stay at this hotel. The staff is friendly and the place is quite clean and peaceful. The hotel is big and lots of places to walk to around. The massage at their spa center was one of the best. Plus their breakfast buffet is quite extensive and good.

The Taj hotel s really doesn't need any praise as they are a class apart from the modern, upcoming five stars. Still, I want to mention some of the staff who should be encouraged to continue the good work that they are doing. Housekeeping was excellent! I remember Ashis who always guessed the need of the guest in advance. Restaurant decor could be better but the staff are keepers! Action of hat to Tanzim, Akhtar, Shubham and Mr Ashoke Saroje. The chefs are talented and dedicated. Chef Thapa went out of his way to make sure that our requests are met. Thank you guys! We'll be back!

The hotel is stunning with lovely grounds and the room was extremely comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The breakfast although reasonably extensive had an Indian feel - although there was cereal, pastries and eggs on offer.

Great palace-like hotel In a nice location. Had a great time. Nice big park a short distance away, which was wonderful to walk in mornings and evenings. The buffet breakfast with the live flute playing lady was truly heaven!

Horrible - avoid at all costs

The hotel is in a dilapidated situation - we had to change 4 rooms before we could actually agree to stay
All rooms have a musty odor
Carpets are shabby
Bathroom knobs come out
No running water for hours together
Linen quality cheap
Housekeeping is poor
Concept of timeliness cease to exist
Food quality was bad - fruits and juices were NOT at all fresh

Lastly tips are awaited eagerly to the point they make it very obvious

Good property plagued by very ineffective service

Absolutely gorgeous property that suffers from a lax clueless management. The management has to get its act together and its staff needs some serious training. Phones were being picked quickly but there was little or no followup unless a few reminders were made. Except a very few (and I mean one or two), the rest of the staff couldn't care less about the guests.

The rooms are dated and not in a mint condition. For the price (at this price you can get a five star hotel in Delhi or Mumbai), I don't think Taj Vivanta does a good job with the guests. They should at the very least drop the price if they can't offer better quality of service.
