Lovely stay, great breakfast, great location

Very enjoyable stay. Great location around 100m from the sea with easy access to other places by the bus stop down the road. Great breakfast options. Only downside we had was construction ongoing across the road which was loud during the day, but didn't start until after we'd woken up anyways.

Construction site opposite

Nice room but shame it faced the construction site making the balcony unusable. Having booked the most expensive room available it would have been nice to have been given the option of an alternative room with a balcony that we could use. Work started early and during the night materials were dropped off waking us up. Nowhere to dry swimming stuff.

Highlight of the room - Unable to be Used!

We booked the room specifically with the bathtub, as it was the ‘highlight’ of the room, however this was useless as the bathtub couldn’t be filled with water as the drain wasn’t closing properly, resulting in the bathtub getting emptied in few minutes. Management replied with “we were not informed” - after telling us that reception closes at 17:00, and we thought it was impolite to call for maintenance at 22:00 at night. Management stopped replying to our messages when we tried to deal with the situation.

Excellent weekend stay

Excellent stay. Just a short walk from the sea front.Very nice room with very comfortable bed and top quality bed linen. The only slight downside was the quality of the clothes hangers in the wardrobe, they were somewhat past their best. Very clean throughout. Breakfast was also excellent with lots of choice and good quality. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We parked in the free car park a few minutes walk. The communication was good throughout too.

It would've been nice to have a safe and the aircon was temperamental – even when seemingly turned off.

Lovely staff on check in and at breakfast. We were informed we could use the coffee machine as we pleased which was a nice little touch. The hotel is well situated and the room was pleasant but small. The switches are all underneath shelves or furniture which is a bit annoying. Breakfast was not great but the continental was included. There was not much choice and pastries ran out on the first morning before we went down and so we went earlier the second morning but they were not that great anyway. Lots of restaurant choices around the hotel and some nice salt plains 15-20 min stroll around to the left of the bay which the lady on reception told us about.

Cute B&B close to coast

We enjoyed our stay at Murella Living B&B. Our room was pleasant and clean.

Our balcony overlooked buildings & the breakfast terrace which was interesting to say the least, but it wasn't too much of a problem for us as we didn't stay indoors for too long.

It is in walking distance to some lovely restaurants and bays.

The staff were so lovely, kind and accommodating. We really could not have asked for anyone better.

The breakfast was tasty although repetitive, as it was the same each day. Perhaps some variety could be added (i.e. cereals, different cakes/pastries).

We would recommend it for families with young children and older couples.

Front desk was very helpful and welcoming. The location was perfect. Breakfast in the morning was served in a cute room with outside seating. Room was small but enough space for us to. Shower was lovely. It was my favorite place we stayed in Malta 😊

The room and bed were spacious, comfortable and clean, though the floor coverings in the hallways were a bit tired and messy. The staff (front office and breakfast room) very friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast (included in the rate) was excellent, with a good variety of savouries and sweets. Good value for money. I would return.

Happy holiday.

The hotel team were great. Before the holiday communication was easy, we arrived after midnight, the transfers and instructions for access were faultless. Lovely variety for breakfast. Incredible, comfortable beds and pillows. Malsaforne, on the north coast of Gozo, has lots of activities to offer. We chose scuba diving- there are 6 registered dive centres, ours was bubbles -just 80meters from Murell😄. Air con kept the rooms comfortable. Decor is individual and absolutely not corporate, which is lovely. Reception helpful and organised. Good wifi, no buffering.

Yes Yes Yes - a must in Gozo

Lovely hotel. Amazing staff that is attentive and helpful. Meticulously clean.
One of my nicest stays at a boutique hotel and I stay often in Relais Chateaux
If you choose to stay elsewhere .. in my opinion that will be your first big mistake in Gozo, Malta.
They helped arrange a boat transfer, a private driver tour.

And yes they have an elevator .. and luggage storage if you need to spend the day after checkout.
Lovely bed, nice towels.. what else can I say?
My only regret will be telling others and will be too booked next time I go to Gozo.

Lovely B&B. Great location right on the waterfront. A 5 minutes walk at most to the bus to Victoria, the bus to the ferry port and the supermarket. The B&B is fairly new and it shows; it’s clean and well presented. Really good breakfast selection. Didn’t have many dealings with the staff but all were friendly and polite. The room had both a kettle and a fridge. Highly recommend.

Nice Boutique Hotel on the waterfront

Lovely boutique hotel, each room was individually styled with all amenities i.e hair dryer etc. Large comfy bed. Very clean hotel. Staff were accommodating and attentive especially Bridget who looked after us at breakfast, thank you! Nice outdoor seating terrace with the option of having breakfast outside. The breakfast included in the room price is only a continental one, tho they do offer a cooked breakfast for a few euros extra. For €5 a day can secure a parking space in the garage which was useful. Will definitely come back again!

Good but a bit of a mixed bag.

Disappointed with the tiny shared balcony with a bad view over waste land. The breakfast service and staff were all incredible (10/10). Advertised as being a two minute walk from the beach - this is somewhat misleading as the beach at Marsalforn is non-existent. Local restaurants and area as a whole was really nice though.

Nice new hotel in a great location

We were very happy with our stay at Murella Living. The hotel is located in a great spot, a stone's throw away from the beach. The rooms are modern, nicely furnished and comfortable. The breakfast spread was also good, with a range of pastries, breads and cakes. Staff are friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend.

Great location but minimal on-street parking

This B&B is situated in a great location especially at night time. It's right near all the action. The rooms are clean and the service is friendly. Be sure to request the off-street parking early that is offered by the B&B at an extra €5 per day so you don't miss out. We unfortunately didn't realise that this was an option at the time of booking so we missed out. Once we familiarised our way around the streets we could find some parking approximately 3-4 minutes walk away. Regardless though, I would still recommend this accommodation!

The most stylish hotel in Marsalforn

Lovely little hotel. Room was exactly as impressive as the pictures made it out to be (we had a Superior Double), and was well cleaned around the same time every day by some very friendly staff. The sea is visible down the street as soon as you step outside.

A couple of little niggles that I think they could work on:

For breakfast the menu offers a hot and continental option (on an excellent menu in terms of its graphic design I might add!). We sat down and ordered a hot breakfast, but then when the menu came it included the price of the continental as well. It seems like the assumption is that the continental is given by default, and you can add a hot breakfast on top of it, but this wasn't very clear. The staff were nice enough to sort the bill out for us and only charge for a hot breakfast though.

Lastly, on checking out we were a bit unsure of what to do with the room key, since the reception isn't attended 24 hours per day. We left the key at the desk, but it would have been nice to have somewhere safer to leave it. Maybe this information was given and we just missed it, but we noticed another set of keys on the desk and assumed someone else did the same thing as us when they were leaving.

These are very minor issues though, and I would definitely recommend Murella Living to anyone.

Good friendly hotel near to bay and restaurants. Clean comfortable rooms with interesting thoughtful decorations throughout. Buses conveniently stop near to get to other parts of Gozo and plenty to visit. Stayed 4 nights in unusually cold weather during quiet time in January 2017.

The room is nicely decorated. However, there is a little bit of new-building smell. The room is on the small side but the bathroom is huge. Good for the price. My only complaint is that the water in the shower was not warm at all in the evening. Wanted to wash my hair in the evening but couldn't do it because the water was too cold. Tried again in the morning and the water was warm them. Nice breakfast area. You have to reserve a parking spot with them in advance if you want to park in the garage.

Lovely boutique hotel steps from the waterfront!

The room was very nice and bright and beautifully decorated. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars for comfort is the rather small size and lack of a desk and chair. But for the price and location, it was a great value. The breakfast buffet was very nice with fresh squeezed orange juice, a variety of breads, pastries, cheese, meats and fresh fruits. Service was very attentive. I felt likecI had my personal waking tour consultant, going to Bridget (who works serving at breakfast and other capacities) for advice every morning!

Customer-focused service began with efficient check-in, a personal welcome note in our room, and assistance booking tour arrangements. Delicious and generous continental breakfast with cheeses, meats, breads, yogurt, fruit, cereal, and local pastries. The room was attractively decorated, but didn't offer much of a view (back alley) from the small balcony.

Great B&B to stay in everything you need is right on your doorstep...great restaurants great bars and best of all the sea . You can get the 310 bus into Victoria for €1.50 and it takes 5 minutes to Victoria bus station where you can get buses to anywhere on the island of Gozo. You can have great seafood anywhere on the island but my favourite restaurant is in Qala Opposite the church just before the bus stop, the place is called D bar you can find it on Facebook and trip advisor. You can get the 303 bus from Victoria bus station and it takes you right there. But I would say book a table first as it is a very busy restaurant / bar. They have great wine ...great food...one of the best restaurants on the island and have won many awards.

Clean hotel near beach.

When we booked the hotel we thought we were also nominated a particular named room for our stay and even when our friends went to look prior to our stay, they too were shown this named room but on arrival it was a totally different room. So seems they have viewing room!

This hotel seemed nice but first impression is that it's interior design is not as nice as on pictures. It was fine though. The check in was easy and we had a warm welcome. But then the service is limited to the minimum. The staff for the breakfast was clearly unfriendly and even though there is a buffet, most of what is usually included is to add as an extra. Also, only making the bed seemed to be considered as doing the daily cleaning of the room. We were actually happy to leave...

The hotel was clean, modern and close to the bay with a range of excellent restaurants and entertainment. Our room was beautiful and an excellent size for two ladies with a lot of clothes! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful-nothing was too much trouble. We had breakfast at an additional cost and it was fresh and great value for money. We'd definitely stay here again!

Largely satisfied but a few minor niggles. Our hairdryer was removed by the cleaning staff and we had to ask at reception to get it back. The tea and coffee in the room was not always replaced when it had been used. The balcony doors had been opened when we left them closed. We did not take the hotel breakfast so cannot comment on that.

Well located modern; new place to stay”

We stayed a weekend soon after Murella opened. It is just off the main promenade and very close to the beach; many restaurants etc. We did not use the car all weekend. The place is decorated creatively mixing modern artistic design with rustic/antique-looking furnishings. The superior room we were in felt small and the sink unit too big for the bathroom. The room had a terrace that was an enjoyably good size with table; chairs and swinging \"armchair\".
Breakfast was decent if limited and the service was adequate. The staff (cleaning; reception; servers) did their job but seemed like they did not want to be there!
Overall good value for money: great location and well set up. We will stay here again.

Only recently opened in June 2016 and pleased to one of the first to stay. Very clean, well equipped, great aircon, quick wifi, very modern and trendy. The receptionists both on check in and on departure were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The place itself is ideally located just on a side street off the main bay in Marsalforn. If I return to Gozo inn the future and stay in Marsalforn it will definitely be at Murella Living.... thank you!!

Fantastic location, beautiful design and friendly

I absolutely loved this hotel!
The staff were all very kind, the design of the hotel and rooms were very pretty and modern and the daily breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices of breads, meats, cheeses, yogurts, fruits and cereals.
You are only a 1 minute walk from the water and lots of restaurants.
My room had a mini balcony without a nice view so I rarely used it but in all honesty, I didnt care. There are rooms with bigger ones facing the back if you need or want it. I loved my stay here and would return for sure!

Erst einmal geht ein großes Lob an unsere Receptionistin Ivana. Sie war total freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat uns einige Tipps zum Erkunden der Insel gegeben.
Die Zimmer sind sauber, klein, aber zweckmäßig. Kleines Manko: in unserem Bad war kein Abzug. Jedes Zimmer verfügt über einen Balkon. Unserer lag nach hinten heraus und ist etwas kleiner ausgefallen, aber das war okay.
Das Frühstück war nicht das Größte aber das Beste, was wir auf unserer 10-tägigen Inselhopping Tour bekommen haben. Unbedingt das Bananenbrot und die frischen Marmeladen probieren.
