The hotel is in desperate need of basic repairs and upgrades throughout. It is dirty, loud, uncomfortable and the personnel was inadequate and unprofessional. I had numerous complaints which were ignored: room with no air conditioning; pool remained open until 10:30 pm even though it was supposed to be closed at 9:00 pm.:

I honestly loved this hotel

I loved everything about this hotel! with so many restaurants literally around the corner from it and a Starbucks across the street, I highly recommend it. the room was very spacious had a cute balcony view, the jacuzzi tub was a big plus as well . The pool was at a great temp. And the restaurant was really good with affordable prices I recommend the chilaquiles. I plan On going back one day just to stay here again lol

The first night at 1 am we had to change rooms because the air conditioning was not working, for the next night we changed rooms again because we did not have electricity, for the third night they almost changed us again because the TV did not work but We decided not to change because we were tired of changing so much, I decided to rent one more night and pay at the hotel and after so many inconveniences they were charging us double the night from Saturday to Sunday without respecting that we had already paid for 3 previous nights

The location was excellent but the hotel was not as expected. The bathroom smelled terrible and we were moved to another one that had the same smell but the smell was not as strong.
The second room did not have a blow dryer and one of the toilet papers had a big stain. I put it aside so it was changed.
The next day we left and came back at 5 pm and the room was unmade. It took 2 phone calls to get someone to clean it. And the stained toilet paper was left again.

My parents have been staying at this hotel for the last few years. This was my first time at this hotel and I was not impressed. The bathroom has no exhaust so when I took a nice hot shower, the steam created a very slippery floor in the bathroom. There were some lightbulbs missing. The shower flooded while I was taking a shower. There was one night when loud music was playing somewhere in the hotel until past 2300 then you could hear everyone still screaming outside. On the bright side, the location was excellent, the room was nice and clean and staff were very attentive and helpful.

The hotel is centrally located a block from zocalo - we were not aware but they are doing major remodel during our stay so we ended up moving rooms. I would double check if they are done with remodel before you book if that matters to you. We spent most of the day out exploring so it was ok for us.

Poor Hotel Experience

My experience at this hotel was very poor. First of all the pool area was under construction. Therefore, it wasn't open until 4pm and it only remained open for a couple hours. Also there was yellow tape all around their lounge area by the pool which didn't make me feel safe at all. Moreover, their hot tub wasn't even working. Later when we decided to got to the rooftop, this area was a joke. It was under construction an not available for the public which their website doesn't inform you of. To top it off our room smelled terrible and when I went to the front desk to ask if I could be moved to another room, the front desk agent agreed to do so but they placed me in a room that didn't have a working A/C unit and I was simply told I would have to use a fan. Also when I asked about the rooftop, the front desk agent said that it was Orbitz fault for not having it listed as under construction, but he claimed that this was stated clearly on their website which was a lie. When I pulled up the website the front desk agent changed his answer and said that in order to get specifics about the hotel we would have had to make the reservation directly with the hotel over the phone. Lastly, we were woken up around 7am by the noise of construction within the hotel. Overall, this hotel is a joke and this has been one of the worse hotel experience I've ever had.

Hotel is on a great location. It just depends what you want. If you are on s budget, and want to stay on a decent hotel, San Pedro is the answer. Price is excellent.
The hotel is a bit run down, owners obviously have not taken care of the place. There are towels left on the hallways for days. The main areas: lobby, restaurant, and pool are clean.
The rooms are spacious, we had two beds and connecting rooms which we needed. Clean room, outdated tv, but functioning wifi a plus!
The bathroom is another story, it is old, poorly maintained in urgent need of a renovation. But everything worked, we had hot water.
Bottomline is price and what you are willing to sacrifice.
The hotel has free parking and the garage attendants are the ones who are amazing.
The people at the restaurant are also very attentive, unfortunately it takes forever to get your meal, and it does not come out together for the whole table.

When we arrived and checked in the staff were very nice and friendly. But they neglected to inform us of the problems the hotel was experiencing with the plumbing. Two of the rooms had no water and the other the sewerage wreaked the room. We returned to the reception to complained and met a couple checking out because they had no water for two days. The clerk did not want too cancel our reservations because it was booked by expedia but the Manager came to our assistance and explained to expedia the problems the hotel was experiencing and the
hotel cancel as well as expedia. It's eight at
night in Puebla Mexico with no where to stay
for 6 adults and four children.

Overall, the hotel is great. I would say good value for the price. I did not have a chance to see the terrace like I had wanted but the pool was clean and I got in even though it was raining. The shower was not big enough for 2 people but we made it work. The AC worked very well. It is very close to the Zocalo which has some great restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Great getaway in Puebla

Great place for a business meeting or even a couple getaway. While it is in Puebla, you would never know that you are in the city. The hotel is a beautiful hacienda with large trees and immaculate gardens.

I have stayed here many times and always found the service to be excellent.

Service was good. Room was much smaller then appeared in pictures. What kind of wide angle lens did they use to give that optical illusion.

The bath room smelled of sewer because they did not properly plumb the shower (not unusual in an old Colonial) or sink ( a very easy fix.)

The beautiful blue pool you see in the photos has a scary green tint and dirt floating on top.

Enjoyed San Pedro Hotel and location.

We spent several days including Good Friday at the San Pedro Hotel and found it comfortable, clean and the entire staff to be very helpful when needed. The location in relation to the main square and other historic sites was a very short walk. If I had to complain about anything, it would be noise. Our room was adjacent to the pool and it can get noisy if your there during the day. My wife and I were both sick one day so that would be our only reason to be in during the day. Our son had a room facing the street and he had a trumpet player outside his room on the street. Other than that, I would not hesitate to stay there again. Really enjoyed Puebla!

Posada San Pedro - it's fine, but...

Posada San Pedro is centrally located, one block from the Zocalo.
Built in 1542, remarkably well preserved for it's age, yet a bit dated by today's standard. The pool is more of a wading pool than a swimming pool.
During the day they play a local pop music radio station throughout the hotel. Mercifully they turn it off at night. All in all it's fine, though there are numerous hotels in the area that I can only imagine would be better.
We had a good time but I would not stay there again. Fine for the price.

WORST HOTEL STAY EVER! I BOOKED 2 JUNIOR SUITS AND THEY TRYED TO GIVE ME BASIC ROOMS AFTER COMPLAINING THEY GAVE ME THE JUNIOR SUITS I HAD RESERVED , I TRAVEL AT LEAST 4 TIMES A YEAR AND HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE . THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A MOTEL . ROOM SMELLED LIKE MOLD, JACUZI HAD CRACKS AND FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO COLLAPSED RIGHT UNDER YOU, BUILDING NEEDS CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE. IT TOOK STAFF TWO DAYS TO OPEN THE SAFE IN THE ROOM AND ONLY BECAUSE MY HUSBAND AND I KEAPT CALLING RECEPTION EVERY 10 MINUTES THE 2ND DAY. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE NOT EVEN MY WORST ENEMY.

The One Jesus Loves

MAYBE GOOD WHEN IT WAS NEW, BUT TODAY IT IS HORRIBLE!

I am very careful to read the reviews to make my hotel accommodations, and I was very surprised to see the glowing reviews of this hotel because frankly I cannot imagine it even having ONE STAR. If sleep is important to you, than you definitely need to book somewhere else. I never have problems sleeping, thank GOD! but the noise was excessive (inside the hotel) and as though that were not enough the beds were so hard that my whole body was in pain as a result. I do like firm beds but this was a very hard bed, not firm. After the first night I thought i had injured my ribs, which became amusing because of course I had not but the pain was ridiculous. The bathroom was dirty and even after the room was \"cleaned\" the bathroom remained dirty. I had to wash the sink because it was unacceptable to have it like that. The shower area had mold both on the walls and corners of the floor. In my opinion bleach would have removed most of it and at least made it less obvious. The towels were absolutely disgusting, they were gray when they should have been white. It was really very uncomfortable to dry my face with them seeing how dingy they were. The pool area, I must mention, was glorious and the people that work there were very wonderful but unfortunately it does not compensate for the state in which this hotel is in. With as many hotels as there are in Puebla and many beautiful ones, there is no need to stay here. Avoid it because it is simply not worth it. I would not even give it one star but the rating does not allow me to do so. May your journey be glorious! Puebla is amazing!!! and the churches are slices of heaven! Enjoy!

We choose this hotel because it had an outdoor heated pool and a Jacuzzi but neither of them were working so the extra money we paid was useless...Also at check in they had not yet received our hotels.com booking which made the check in a longer than expected process. Same at check out, they were looking for how much they should charge us and had to prove that the hotel night was prepaid. Breakfast that was included was simple and ok but with only 2 choices. There was a band playing for breakfast which was nice but a bit on the loud side. Did appreciate on site free parking. Staff is nice and helpful even though they were confused due to the fact that they had not received the booking.
Overall the hotel itself is quite nice - old building - but do not stay by the staircase and I would recommend last (4th) floor as noise insulation is not good!

We've been a couple of times in this place. The rooms are quite comfortable, and pretty clean as well.
It has a convenience store just next door, which is convenient.

Perhaps the location is the highest point, since it is just steps from the \"plaza\" of the town, and quite near all the sightseeing points. And since Puebla does not have a very convenient transportation system, this kind of place is a must in your visit.

We had a awful experience at this hotel.

1) No water; when we came back to the hotel room after some drink and tried to take shower, there were no water coming from the tub. We called the reception, and waited about 30 min. Then, we had to change the room around 2:00 am!

2) Bathroom was smelly: In both rooms, the bathrooms were smelling bad.

3) Not caring about customers' possessions: We parked our car in their parking and handed them the key as it was valet parking. When we got back to our car, the key was attached to the car and all the car doors were left unlocked.

4) Very noisy club music in weekend: At check in, the receptionist asked us whether we liked a garden-faced room or street-faced one. We chose the garden faced one because they said it was more quiet. But from the evening, very loud and bad-taste music from their night club disturbed us and it continued until midnight. The music was all around the hotel. There were some groups having dinner at the hotel restaurant, I felt sorry for them as they seemed not to be able to have a nice chat because of the noise!

5) Unfriendly atmosphere: The attitude of the staff were not the ones we expect for that class of hotels, which means 'unprofessional'. We did not feel that we were welcomed.

The only 'raison d'être' of that hotel is their very convenient location. It is fair to say that their location is great. Apart from that, only problems.

En general, el servicio es excelente. Cada vez que visito Puebla, que es muy constante cada mes o menos, me gusta llegar a este hotel desde la primera vez que lo conocí. Siempre que viajo entre semana el hotel es para mí :)
He tenido, solamente, como dos situaciones en tema de solicitudes en Recepción, pero comprendo que muchas veces no está alcance pero siempre ellos muy amables.
En restaurante, el Sr. Héctor muy amable. Me encanta cuando llego a encontrar buffet. Me gusta mucho el espacio.

Todavía no entrábamos al hotel cuando ya estábamos recibiendo un mal trato por parte del gerente Jaime. Aún estando en el carro nos dijo que no podíamos dejarlo en el estacionamiento del hotel porque supuestamente “tenía cupo lleno”, cuando lo que estaba haciendo era darle trato preferencial a gente que no estaba hospedada en el hotel. La solución que nos dio el gerente fue dejar el carro en una pensión enfrente del hotel y que después de cierto horario nosotros debíamos pagar la pensión. A lo cual nosotros no estuvimos de acuerdo, ya que debía de existir preferencia para los hospedados. Sin embargo, el valet parking nos comentó que existía disponibilidad. Por otro lado, el baño de la habitación tenía residuos de heces fecales, al reportarlo, la respuesta fue que eso era trabajo de otra área. Hicimos una reservación de una habitación doble porque éramos cuatro personas, al pedir más toallas (solo nos dieron tres) nos dijeron que no podían darnos más. Además de esto, el gerente Jaime hizo un comentario en el cual nos dio a entender que éramos mentirosas porque no podíamos entrar más de 2 personas a una habitación doble. En general, el trato del gerente fue irrespetuoso, prepotente y soberbio. Mi recomendación es que no se hospeden en este lugar, ya que parece que pagué para ser tratada de la peor manera posible.

Habitación 324 excelente ubicación, sin embargo en el piso de arriba, durante varias horas había mucho ruido, movían muebles, demasiado ruido por varias horas y muy molesto, desconozco si esta habitación que da a la párate superior de la 324 sea habitación o bodega, ya que parecía que estaban haciendo reparaciones, pero hay que cuidar ese detalle ya que mi visita fue de descanso y el tema del ruido fue muy molesto los dos dias.

Hay una mala organización por parte de las personas que acomodan los autos, estacionan los vehículos que van a dejar el hotel en la entrada de los autos y bloquean el acceso al estacionamiento, la persona salió y me dijo que no me podía meter y que me fuera a dar vueltas hasta que se desocupa el lugar..

Es una excelente opción si se quiere tranquilidad y sobre todo estar cerca del zócalo, el personal muy amable. Posiblemente el único detalle que veo en el lugar es la alberca; creo que se puede mejorar la limpieza del agua.

Tardaron más de 40 minutos para hacer el check in. Ya que comentaron que Expedia no había enviado la reservación. La habitación entregada no tenía toallas, se solicitaron y tardaron en entregarlas por el cambio
de turno.

Muy buena pero el estacionamiento es un problema, no había lugar y el estacionamiento con el que tienen convenio, además de que cuesta, no aceptan camionetas 😛.

Expedia, muestra habitaciones ejecutivas con dos camas queen size, el hotel argumenta que habitación estándar y ejecutiva, es igual, camas matrimoniales, mismo tamaño, solo cambian muebles de madera a metal. Mi frustración, es la información equivocada que muestra expedia y que el hotel no se hace responsable.

Esta en una excelente ubicación, perfecto para poder dar la vuelta en el centro sin problemas, las habitaciones y el servicio son impecables.

En temporada alta el estacionamiento se llena rápido, pero hay algunos más muy cerca.

Es un hotel muy bonito y la localización es excelente, todo queda cerca. Pero nuestra experiencia fue no muy buena. El minisplit empezó a hacer ruidos a las 3:30 de la mañana, no pudieron callar el aparato por lo que a esa hora tuvieron que cambiarnos de habitación y para acabarla por algún motivo el personal de limpieza estaba golpeando la pared de la nueva habitación a la que nos cambiaron. Fue un tanto incómodo la estancia. Pero no me atrevería a recomendarlo.

Lo que me sorprendio fue el nuevo elevador que instalaron, y lo desagradable fue que la habitacion que nos asignaron no estaba lista por lo tanto nos asignaron otra habitacion y a esta le faltaba la cortina del baño. Comente con el personal de recepcion y la explicacion que me dieron fue exceso de visitantes hospedados.
