Very friendly staff. Was able to park in lot by hotel. Great German atmosphere with the restaurant /garden. Located next to all shops and restaurants, but just at edge of old town.
We had a cozy top floor room.
No elevator( older building) so be prepared to walk the spiral stairs with you bags. Part of the charm.

Our trains were delayed so we arrived super late and night check in was pretty easy, however the bed was unmade and the shower mat was all crumpled and no towels were folded. I’m not sure if it was clean or not, but it was midnight so we were unable to go to the front desk and ask for them to fix it. The photos are what the room looked like when we walked in.
However the next day everyone was nice and they held our luggage for us.

NO LAUNDRY - Listing is wrong - Nice Hotel

Our family of four stayed in the family suite that had a king bed and sofa in main area, and then a side bedroom with two twins. It was a great bed arrangement for our family. The bathroom was small and not ventilated nor had a window, and no wash cloths were provided yet towels and hand towels were. The room seemed a bit dated, but it was large (other than small bathroom), clean, and comfortable. It is on one of the main streets in town about a 20-30 minute walk up a hill (not too steep) from train station. The breakfast was very good and included breads, eggs, deli meats, etc. as per usual. The staff was friendly yet the reception desk didn't always have someone manning it.

The hotels.com listing states it has laundry facilities and laundry services. WRONG! It does NOT have laundry machines. It has a service that comes sometimes and does laundry off-site for a fee. I would have chosen a different hotel if I had known this one did not have laundry machines. We were traveling very light so we could move about easily from city to city with carry-on sized luggage.

If you don't need laundry and want a good value hotel, this one is a good choice.

The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to help return my escaped Ferret. I had introduced Rose to the hotel proprietors when we checked in. The next morning Rose managed to get out of our room and go downstairs into the restaurant. The staff recognized her and brought her back to our room. The staff was great and answered any questions we had. It was an enjoyable, relaxing visit.

We stayed here 2 nights after a day cruise from Koblenz, the hotel is in an excellent location, our room was across the street from the main building on the first floor, there was an outdoor patio to sit at, drink wine and watch people walk by, we ate breakfast and lunch in the restaurant and both meals were very good. This is a great place to stay in Rudesheim , close to everything

Enjoyed our stay very much! The staff are all very welcoming, helpful, and friendly! Check in was easy and with a glass of wine :) Our beds were comfortable and our room was clean (during these COVID times, it was CLEAN and we were thankful!) The hotel is just on the edge of the \"busy\" area in town and so easy to get around. We ate dinner in the restaurant (YUM!) and breakfast was also good (and the area was kept VERY clean!). We parked in the city lot about a block away for €4, no problems at all. We will return to Ruedesheim AND this hotel!

We stayed there in Sept.. It was supposed to be for 2 nights, but we decided to check out at 5pm on the second day as we could not handle spending another night in a dirty, run down room. The room was not at all like the pictures on the website.

On both nightstands, the light bulbs weren't screwed in. The floor, (ceramic tile), had dirt on it. After walking around the room (and bathroom), when I looked at the bottom of my feet, there was dirt all over them! I ended up sleeping with socks on. There were cobwebs around the heating unit and the TV.

I could not get the TV to work (picture, no sound), I reached up to turn off the receiver (couldn't turn it off via remote). The receiver looked as though it had never been dusted.

The shower was another story. The caulk needed to be replaced as it was black from mold and mildew.

There were only 2 towels and and 2 hand towels. No washcloths.

The room had a very musty/damp smell to it. We felt as though we were sleeping in a basement.

The curtains/draperies were another disaster. The one curtain, when trying to close it, didn't even cover the window. The other curtain was falling off the curtain rod. I mentioned this to the front desk - asking them to fix it. But they did nothing.

They advertise that they have free WiFi in the rooms,but it never worked.

This was my worst experience ever. No wonder this was the only hotel available for our dates.

They provide some 5% discounts for bike rental and cable car. A free wine tasting (sadly I didn't partake). Can be noisy and hot. Bad pillows.

With the window open we did sleep well, however it was not hot summer yet.

The location was great for staying in the city. We knew it was a very old building but our room seemed a little run down. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, the check-out guy was sarcastic and a little rude. We were under the impression that the parking was free. Not so, it costs 10 Euro a day and you can come and go as you please. We would have been OK with this if we had known. He laughed at us and said you booked a room not a place to park. They served a tremendous breakfast every morning.

Christmas Market stay

Location is great for the Christmas Market. Its very close to the town parking lot so its not too burdensome getting luggage from the vehicle to the hotel. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good. WiFi worked the first night there but was spotty service after that. The room had a funky odor that seemed to be coming from a bathroom fixture drain. Reminded me of the odor one gets when a u-shaped connector is missed when a drain was installed. But, overall, the place was a nice place to stay.

This was a 'cute' hotel. However the overall experience was somewhat very average. The room was very small. There wasn't linen on the bed as such, just a rough material covering that seemed unclean. Asked for an extra pillow twice as my partner needed it to make sleeping easier but no staff provided anything. When I asked about this the reply was 'was not me I wasn't on duty yesterday'. The team spirit doesn't exist!

Old is Sometimes Best

We hadn't expected much from a listed, historic hotel in Rüdesheim under €100....and we couldn't have been more wrong. Greeted with wine and a cool seat on arrival, our English-speaking host then helped us garage our bikes and carry our heavy loads to our room. While not large, our room had expansive views over the town and river, was comfortably and thoughtfully furnished, and was both bright and airy. Small extras like a fan were much appreciated, as were a great shower-bath, really comfortable beds, multiple power points and a desk. The buffet breakfast was terrific. We think this hotel is outstanding value in a town known for kitsch and high prices, and recommend it without reservation.

Loved it.

We wanted a place not too far from the Frankfurt airport to deal with jet lag for a couple of days while also having access to a boat trip on the Rhine. This was perfect. The room was nice, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne while our registration was completed. Parking was close and at a nominal cost. We were helped to get the details on a river cruise and had a great dinner although it was far too abundant. Breakfast was very good and substantial. It was a delightful place to spend a couple of days. We loved it.

Good location, clean room. Hotel gave you a welcoming glass of wine upon arrival (which was a pleasant surprise after climbing up the hill to get to to the hotel). The reason I didn't give it a 4 rating is the room was not well ventilated and was quite stuffy. You can open the windows but it can can get noisy at night.

Has potential but needs work

My major complaint was the cleanliness of the room. The carpet had not been vacuumed. There was white dog hair all over it. The red couch had a stain on it that looked like something was spilled and not cleaned up. Just left to dry. These issues made me feel the room had not been cleaned in other areas either that were not visible. Cleanliness is a BIG issue for most travelers!!

Love this place. I found it on Travelocity and liked the reviews. We thought we would give it a try for our first trip to Rüdeseim Em Rhein. The room was not air conditioned so it was freakin hot but I don't believe any of the hotels have AC in this area. Unless you spend twice as much that is. The hotel is located in a wonderful location, away from the train tracks but close to everything. The vineyards behind are fantastic and the wine tours they provide are very nice. You get a discount for the wine store across the street and the wine is fantastic. The room was pretty spacious for rooms in Europe, and the bathroom was excellent. The staff is very nice and the manager has a good, but dry sense of humor. The food was excellent as well. The included breakfast was very well done as well.

Room was OK. Very small TV. The bottom 'sheet' on the bed was something like terry cloth instead of linen, not bad, but different. The hotel is right in the middle of town and was difficult to find. The streets were narrow and the portions of them are pedestrian only. The parking for the hotel was at a public parking lot about 100 yards away.

When we arrived the hotel was all locked up eventually got our room which was on the top floor but very nice. Breakfast was ok however the restaurant was not open and also the bar was closed all the time this was never mentioned on your web site if I had known this I would have booked the Park Hotel. Parking was expensive with no concessions

Good location (although a little way from the train station). Great breakfast. Rooms well appointed, although the internet did not work and there were no tea/coffee making facilities (despite these being advertised). The bed was 2 single beds put together, with a strange make up of single-bed linen. When I asked for an iron and ironing board, I was given the former but not the latter, and had to use the dusty desk. There are a lot of other hotels in Rudesheim, and I am not sure how this one compares.

A near perfect stay

I have stayed in many hotels in the Rhine Valley and have found none better. Granted, I do shop for the best price, but this hotel easily compares to hotels that were twice the price. My single room was small, but it was fine for my needs. It was clean and modern. The breakfast was excellent. The only minor complaint I had was that the wifi didn't work in the room. I had to sit in the court yard. I think this was just a temporary problem though. 5 minute walk to the train station. I will stay at this hotel again!

I made a specific request when I booked the hotel and it was met in full.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times and made every effort to make our stay a good one. They succeeded.

The hotel is perfectly located within the old town, immediately adjacent to the Christmas Market.

The menu has a good choice, as does the wine list, and the food and drink did not disappoint.

We plan to return in the summertime.

Great Value Hotel

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel in Rudesheim. It has an excellent location close to everything but far enough away from the railway tracks to not hear the many trains going through Rudesheim at night.

Every time I arrive to check in they always offer me either a glass of wine or a Spiced wine during the Christmas season.

The rooms are always clean.

I love staying here.

The hotel is cute and well appointed. A great base if you are going to do walking tours of the city or a Rhein boat tour. The room had an odd layout to it in that the bed ran parallel to the wall (it wouldn't fit if you tried to put the head of the bed against the wall) so I picked my pillow off the floor all night. The breakfast is very good and while we didn't do dinner in the onsite restaurant, the selection of wine and beer was very good. If we ever go back to Rudesheim, we'd stay here again.

Really nice location and overall feel of comfort.

We loved the location. Of course the town is pretty small and easy to get around but it was tucked up the hill where it was quite and has very nice and well kept property. The dining options are really nice...they had an outside seating area across from the hotel which was beautifully landscaped and tables at different levels. There was another outside dining area that was quite large and half was covered by glass ceiling in case of bad weather and half was outside with umbrellas. Then inside they had the traditional dining areas that were very tastefully decorated. Our dinner was very good, good beer and great wines. Very comfortable, adequate rooms, ours had a nice view of the local church bell tower, nice breakfast and very friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.

I stayed here on December 18th to 19th 2011. This is a great value hotel. Rooms, although a little smal,l are well priced and clean.

I even received a complimentary Gluewine while I was checking in during the Winter Market.

I also thought that the breakfast buffet and dinner was great. I have no complaints, an thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Perfect Location

Great experience from start to finish. Upon checking in at the Zum Grünen Kranz (at the restaurant), we were served complimentary mulled wine. The room was large with a small kitchenette and a very comfortable bed (a huge plus in Europe). The location is great. The hotel is at the very top of the central old downtown, right in the thick of things, but just outside enough to be quiet at night. We went for Thanksgiving and the Christmas market--PERFECT. A two minute walk to the market. Finally, the breakfast was great. Plenty of hot coffee, boiled eggs, cererals and plenty of breads and cheese. Highly recommend for the Christmas markets (one of our favorates throughout Germany) or just to explore the Rhine and the local wine country. Would absolutely return!

This hotel is located a bit outside of Koblenz, but within easy reach via the bus system. The bus trip was only about 10-15 minutes. There was no elevator, so it was a bit hard to get the suitcases to the 3rd floor up, but otherwise it was very nice.

Quaint hotel near everything

This hotel was great! It was close to the train station and the things to do in Rudesheim. The hotel staff was so nice and the room was bigger than we expected. It was a little noisy at night because it was on the main street, and a little chilly, but we had no complaints. The room was very clean!

Rudesheim Hotel

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The location was perfect. Just a short work into the main part of the town. Our room was very clean and well-maintained though we had challenges the first night figuring out the heaters in the room which didn't seem to be working. Finding the hotel via car is also a challenge. Theoretically you can drive your car to the hotel, unpack your bags and park in a lot a couple of hundred feet away but we could never figure out how to drive up to the hotel so we parked in the lot and dragged our luggage to the hotel. Breakfast buffet was very good and the check-in / check-out experience was easy.

Ideal stopover hotel

Although not too easy to locate, once found check in was efficient with a welcoming complimentary drink and our luggage was carried to the room. The room itself was large with a very low double bed, very comfortable but possibly a problem for elderly persons. Although the website had shown secure parking we were directed to the public car park (€6 per night) which could be a problem in high season. That said it was an very enjoyable stay in a hotel with a lot of character.

Great place in this fun town!

Very cozy, clean hotel in agreat location! Close enough to the fun yet far away enough for the noise.
They lent us an umbrella when it rained, and a free wine taste across the street.

Das einzig positive war das freundliche Personal. Es grenzt an Unverschämtheit, ein Zimmer zu diesen Konditionen und zum Innenhof, mit lärmenden Gästen, Gesängen und Gesprächen bis weit nach Mitternacht an Reisende zu vermieten.

Boendet utmärkt, restaurangen sämre, vi upplevde servicen som undermålig, då väntan var lång t.o.m såpass lång att vi inte fick någon uppmärksamhet på drygt 30 min för att beställa dessert. Vilket slutade med att vi gick över till grannrestaurangen för kaffe o dessert.
